The chicken doner meat has a bit weird smell... but the prices and the portions are quite well

I had a delicious meal here tonight. If you sit inside, the portions are wonderfully large. I thoroughly enjoyed the kapsalon, and the bread beforehand was a treat too. I will definitely be back!

What a fantastic place Egyptian Restaurant Pyramiden is! I've been coming here for quite some time now, and it truly never disappoints. What I especially appreciate is that I've come in really late several times to get food, sometimes almost closing time. Yet, I always received a friendly welcome, and they still prepared my food with love and care. You can really tell they're passionate about what they do and that customer satisfaction is their top priority. The food is always fresh, well-seasoned, and full of flavor. The portions are generous, and everything is neatly presented. Whether you order a platter, sandwich, or side dish, the quality is consistently high. The customer service also deserves a big compliment. The staff is always friendly, polite, and helpful. They take the time to help you and make sure you leave with a smile. Unlike my previous experience at Amigos, where the service and quality were truly disappointing, Egyptian Restaurant Pyramiden is a perfect example of how it should be done: friendly, attentive, and always carefully prepared food, even if you come in late. You'll notice the difference immediately.

We've eaten here several times, so it's time for a review. The service is always excellent, and the staff are friendly and happy to help (unlike Amigos). So far, we've only had kapsalon and pizza here, but both were excellent! Good quality and definitely worth the price. My friends and I will definitely be back regularly. Highly recommended!

Picked up some food on New Year's Eve. I noticed that a lot of food was being shared. Turkish pizza was placed on the bar, waiting for the next person to start working on it. The shawarma sandwich I ordered had a lot of spices, but also far too many. And the Turkish pizza with döner was way too soft and soft. I did eat it, but in the end, I was on the low-calorie diet for over a week. Definitely not recommended. I'll never come back here.

Placed a large order, from which 1 pizza was missing. Called the delivery driver, but he hung up angrily and then said we would just have to pick it up ourselves. Very poor service.

This evening we placed another order, as we often do and have usually been positive about it so far. Unfortunately, something went completely wrong tonight. The döner kebab lahmacun was missing from our order. We immediately contacted them to report this, expecting it to be resolved promptly. Instead, we were confronted with countless attempts to call, calls that were hung up on, and after waiting for over an hour, still no solution or clarity. We were eventually told we would have to pick up the order ourselves or collect the money another time. This is simply unacceptable. We consciously chose and paid for delivery, not pickup. The fact that it was busy or that this was the last delivery of the evening should never be a reason for not completing an order completely and correctly. As a business owner, you should take responsibility for mistakes that are made. The way this was handled – without a solution, without apologies, and without customer focus – is extremely disappointing. We still expect a suitable and proper solution for this situation. This is not the level of service we are accustomed to and certainly not what you should expect after years of orders.

The food was unpleasant—cold, too salty, tasteless, and cold. To make matters worse, we also ordered a Turkish pizza with doner kebab, which didn't arrive. We then called customer service but were ignored. The phone was turned off. Not a great delivery experience.

More than half an hour late. I decided to call after 30 minutes anyway. I was told they were busy. And the food was cold and there was a lot of salt on the fries! Thrown everything away, what a waste.

It rarely happens that my father says he likes a pizza; I think he even repeated it three times while eating. I can confirm this myself; the dough was well cooked and it was generously topped. The price-quality ratio is great, definitely value for money!

Excellent place! Took quite long to get the order but the portion sizes were great and the dishes were well seasoned. I loved it.

Yesterday, I ordered a lachmacun and a kapsalon from this place. The food was delivered half an hour late, but oh well. The next morning, my wife was incredibly ill. Vomiting, stomach cramps, and diarrhea. Clearly food poisoning. We'll never order food from here again.

Food is lukewarm to cold, dish is not even complete and cannot be removed because it is so tough. Fries are cold and very soft. The food is just really not tasty and not recommended!

Bad service, food ordered by telephone, they said it would be prepared and then delivered, so no more than 30 minutes, hours later, no food, called again, no one knows what. Two hours after I had a hair salon with shawarma and fries, I got extremely painful cramps and soon after I had the shits. I haven't experienced this in years and it almost made me throw up. The food was clearly not good. Never again.

Short-tempered and rude staff when you try to find a solution for a 2 hour and 45 minute wait. Called 3 times. You are constantly lied to that they are on their way. If you say something about this, the employee starts shouting that I should find a solution with the boss on Monday. I'm curious to see what "the boss" comes up with. Previous reviews don't lie... in the end we didn't have any food because we had to leave at 7 p.m. Just as we got into the car the delivery man arrived. Took it back again. The delivery person was friendly and understanding.

Had dinner here late at night. Thursday Meppel day so busy. It is not surprising that not everything is spick and span anymore. Food was good, staff friendly. Still, it wouldn't hurt to wipe the tables every now and then on such a day. And with such a crowd, that's not easy. The fact that there are so many customers also means that I am not the only one who likes the food

Were here in the spring and we enjoyed it. It was clear that we would come back here. The waiter tries very hard despite the language barrier. We ate a fries, a kebab, ribs and shoarana. It was really good again.

We don't live nearby, but when we are near Meppel we always eat here. The Spareribs are second to none! The staff is very friendly. We always feel welcome and highly recommend this grill room.

Nice restaurant in the center of Meppel where we stayed for both lunch and dinner on the same day. Friendly staff. Good food. Make time to speak to you. The food was perfectly fine. Also for vegetarians!

Ordered food online via their own website and specified a delivery time of 6:00 PM. At 6:30 PM I called to find out where the food is. The delivery person is at the door at 6:45 PM. The bag the food was in was wet with meat juices. And instead of 4 whiskey sauce (ordered) I only received 2. No more ordering from the Pyramide for us.

The food is always good. Only the delivery time is incorrect. Ordered online at 5:20 PM. 7.15 pm but has been called. was given to the delivery person. At 8:15 PM we called once and the delivery man was on his way and at 8:18 PM I finally got my food. And what do you get? A hair salon that I just threw in the trash doesn't look like much and smells really bad Fries that are so limp as what bah bah Order here often and this is the first time it has taken so long.

For us the last time we ordered... the order would be there at 5:15 pm. Then at 5:35 PM still nothing, I called and the delivery person could be at the door at any moment.. at 6:00 PM I called again, because nothing had been received yet.. 10 past 6 the food was delivered.. but unfortunately because we had to leave .. which I also reported on the phone..

Had a lovely dinner together last night after going out

The last 3 times we have ordered the food has not been very tasty, fries soft and wet, meat dry and potatoes crackling hard and very greasy. (Seems like double fried, but I'm not sure, maybe old fat or something) it can sometimes not go well, just like at home, but now that it has happened 3 times in a row, a trend seems to be emerging. Very sorry But yesterday my husband placed an order and again very fatty meat, spare ribs were tough, gyros dry, and the wedges were cracking loud, but now seriously, our entire family of 5 people was sick last night and is still sick, spitting up diarrhea, the whole shebang, very unfortunate because we always liked ordering here.

I can usually order delicious food here, but I have been waiting for my cans of drinks for an hour and a half now. When you call, they dismiss you saying it's already on its way...

I do not recommend, I waited for the order for 2 hours, no one delivered the order, no one called. The restaurant denies it and claims that the courier delivered the food even though no one showed up. They do not want to refund the money or deliver the order. I do not recommend !!!

Apparently the chicken breast sandwich contains cheese from mushrooms and peppers! It also says that it is not there, they called and were very rude and did not want to make it right!

Friendly staff, Calzona tastes good. But the meat is very cheap and it tastes like the frozen meat you get at the supermarket. You can eat pizza, fries, otherwise no meat. Hygiene is also another topic!
