The food was delicious, but the delivery arrived 50 minutes late. We had agreed on 7:00 PM well in advance, but it still didn't arrive until 7:50 PM…

Surprisingly tasty food, lovely staff with fast service, and a nice atmosphere on the terrace.

Deluxe high wine is highly recommended. Afterwards, we decided to have something to eat as well: salmon paipiot and a satay, very good. The staff is very friendly.

The fries that came with my order were clearly cold fries that had been reheated; they even had an aftertaste of the food they were served with. This is the last time I eat here.

We had lunch and dinner here last week and it was great. Very friendly waitress, unlike the others today. The food was good!

An Easter brunch with the in-laws. Oasis offered a buffet for €29 (excluding drinks). I don't expect culinary masterpieces from a "city pub," and indeed, there weren't any; however, I did expect (hope) for solid, rustic fare. There was some choice, but everything just wasn't quite right. The small buffet was tucked away in a corner by the back door, and you had to shuffle in line until you could make your selection. We had to scoop up the salads using a pastry fork and a teaspoon, and both times I passed the buffet, the butter was gone. The cutlery consisted of a fork and a steak knife, which isn't exactly handy for prying butter out of a tub and trying to spread it on your bread. All in all, you could see the staff were doing their best, but the whole experience was amateurish and mediocre, and really not worth the money.

Had a bad meal here tonight, no cutlery with the starter, had Babette for the main course which was bad, normally the tastiest meat from the cow but this was tough instead of tender old meat, my partner had corn chicken which had no taste and was dry, a nice restaurant for drinks but not for eating

We were recently sitting on the terrace with a group of friends. We ordered a table full of tasty things. A little later, two more people joined us because we were having such a good time. One of the two wanted to wait a moment before ordering more, because she wasn't feeling very well. The waiter sent her away immediately: drinks were mandatory. The whole table was full! Surely that’s not how you treat customers?! The waitress looked like she had quite a bit of life experience. Surely she should know how to deal with customers then. Taking the first order wasn't exactly friendly either. We are never coming back here.

We thought we'd have a nice lunch with the four of us, but from the start, it felt like we weren't welcome. We remained friendly, but the staff behaved very strangely towards us. They responded curtly and snappily when taking our order. The food arrived quickly, but it was incomplete. They did fix it, but it was a mistake. We didn't say anything about it. And when we asked for a receipt at the checkout, they sighed and told her to go all the way inside. We're still wondering what we did or said wrong.

The discussion about whether you should remove the mussels from the pan with your bare hands instead of a slotted spoon... very annoying

Google claimed they had the best pancakes in Meppel, so we had to try them...and YES, they were delicious! The omelette is also highly recommended, just like S. on the Beach. The atmosphere is great, the decor is great, and the service is fantastic! They have a large terrace where you can sit comfortably. Highly recommended and definitely worth a visit! Parking is within walking distance.

We ordered Loaded Fries. We forgot we wanted vegetarian, and the mayonnaise wasn't enough. We asked for extra mayonnaise, but we had to pay extra. After asking three times, there was no solution. The service wasn't great, so we didn't order anything else.

9 euros for bittergarnituur is really a lot and it also took a very long time for it to arrive I should have stayed at home I could have put the brown fruit bowl on the table for 3 euros within 20 minutes and had to wait more than 30 minutes for 9 euros then hastily for food because on the website it also says that they are open until 1:00 am on Saturday evening the service already arrived (young girl) that they close at 23:45 did she feel like going home earlier?

We had lunch with a group of seven on the terrace of Oasis. There were quite a few tables occupied, but we were allowed to put two tables together so we could all eat together. The service was friendly and fast. The steak sandwich was delicious! My table companions were almost jealous, because it looked so delicious. It was also great that they included vegetables. I would definitely come back!

Last time we wanted to have lunch. We sat down at a table inside by the window. After 5 minutes someone walked by and said "someone will come to you". After a few more times the staff walked by. After 15 minutes we went to another restaurant and had a lovely lunch there. It really wasn't busy! It remains a mystery why no one came to us

Reserved to eat mussels for 2 people. Unfortunately NO MUSSELS and they denied that I had a reservation. While I got a reminder this afternoon. No excuses!

Had Easter brunch... it was well taken care of. Friendly service.

Ate a ball sandwich for lunch. Really not recommended. Ball was way, way overcooked. This caused him to fall apart in misery. This one also had no taste. Satay sauce was cold and was served next to it. At checkout they asked if we had enjoyed it. My reaction was, I have eaten better before. Employee response none.

Atmospheric location of the Stadcafe in the center of Meppel. A nice brown cafe in the heart of Meppel in Drenthe. The staff are friendly and hospitable. The cafe is neat and clean.

Well thought I was going to have lunch.....kitchen still closed.....Menu cards were still on the table.....Strange. If the kitchen is not yet open, do not put menus etc. on the table, as this will create expectations. And why do you only open the kitchen at 11:30 on a Saturday? Well, then we had lunch elsewhere.

Het eten viel ronduit tegen. Zeer weinig groente,salade was meer croutons dan sla en veel cocktailsaus als dressing. Snoekbaars besteld,was rond uit onsmakelijk. Wel complimenten voor de bediening,ik kreeg direct een ander gerecht. Verder waren ze erg aardig en attent.

Voor- en hoofdgerecht besteld. Voorgerecht was prima. Hoofdgerecht gewoon vergeten. De 3 andere tafels na ons werden wel bediend. Verder was het terras leeg.Toen we vroegen of ons hoofdgerecht nog kwam, bleken we vergeten te zijn. Toen hebben we maar afgerekend.

Delicious food on a lovely terrace. The weather was also great today and that of course makes everything just that little bit tastier, but everything was perfect, nice generous salad with delicious dressing, good side dishes, no hassle with tiny containers of sauce. Just good and enough without excessive fuss. They should do it in the Randstad too!

Went here for lunch and drinks, after our bad experience at the Wheem. Fast and friendly service here. They also came to ask if everything was okay. Food tasted good and normal/sufficient portions.

It's nice that there is at least a café open before eleven o'clock.

Update March 30, 2024: Had dinner with my son in this attractive location. The gnocci I chose was very salty. The service was excellent and the location remains cozy. Despite Corona, the four of us had a nice sit here and had a good lunch. The service was excellent and professional, the dishes excellent and the location is very cozy.

Leider keinen schönen Aufenthalt in diesem Café gehabt: kein freundliches Personal, Kaffee schmeckte nicht, Kuchen war nicht bestellbar. Sehr schade, hatten uns sehr auf eine schöne Kaffeepause gefreut.

Me and my girlfriend often come to Oasis. It's always fast and good! (Also when you order) In addition, super nice people work here. Hospitable and cozy!

An empty bus stop is more pleasant

Had a great 12 hours. The waitress found it very difficult to get brown bread instead of white... after that she was a bit in the ignore mode. 12 hours was fine by the way.
