Cozy, neat, excellent service and friendly!

The food is good and tasty. On weekends, you have to wait a very long time for your food, and they rarely ask if you'd like another drink. There were four of us and a three-course meal took almost two hours. The sound in the room is terrible. It's very loud, and you can barely hear each other. The acoustics are poor.

A group of 20 had a wonderful meal. The service was excellent and fast, and the food was absolutely delicious at a very competitive price!

Arrived through Social Deal. Also with SD, a choice from the regular menu 👍. The regular menu is also reasonably priced. Plenty of dishes to choose from and portions were generous. Delicious food. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

The restaurant's appearance is a bit disappointing. A bit sad. We had to wait a long time for our food, which is a lot to expect. The food itself is standard, nothing special. Would definitely go again, unless you're very patient and not hungry. Kudos to our waitress, who took my allergies seriously and knew from experience how difficult dining out can be.

It's an okay restaurant. The price-quality ratio is excellent. I had the tomato soup and the chicken satay. It tasted just as good as the rating. My girlfriend had the schnitzel, which unfortunately wasn't very good. The fish trio appetizer, however, was! It was a Saturday night, so it was very busy; we had to wait an hour and a half for our food.

We ate here last Sunday. We specifically requested a quiet table due to autism and were placed in the middle of the crowd while the upstairs was still completely empty. The food was cold, dry, and disgusting. After pointing this out to the waitress, all we got in return was a sarcastic mouth. We will never come back here again, what a terrible restaurant.

It looks a bit run-down from the outside, but it's beautiful inside. The food is delicious, and the service is good. I found the cheesecake a bit dry, but the green curry, on the other hand, was delicious! The restrooms are a bit outdated. All in all, a solid 4 stars!

Had dinner with six people. The salmon dish was excellent, but the burger menu was sparse, and the extra portion of fries didn't arrive until everyone had finished. The acoustics were also poor, too noisy to have a normal conversation.

The restaurant has a simple exterior, but a cozy interior with many unique nooks and crannies. The food was delicious at a very reasonable price. There was a wide selection of appetizers, main courses, and desserts. Everything was perfectly prepared, and the staff was very friendly. Definitely worth a return visit.

There were eight of us and we felt completely at home. Great service, always attentive, and everything arrived on time. Three courses for €20 each, with a wide selection of individual dishes, something for everyone, and truly delicious. The interior was well-appointed, open, and clean. Only the exterior needed some attention.

I think they take everything out of the microwave

Upon arrival, you wouldn't know this is a restaurant. The exterior of the building could use some updating. However, inside, it's atmospheric, the service is fast and courteous, and the food is good, and affordable too.

Another delicious meal. We were especially impressed with the service. They took my fish allergy and related food into account, even checking to make sure no one before or after us is eating the same food. Fantastic! If something is accidentally wrong, it's immediately corrected. After all, things can go wrong anywhere, especially when it's busy. The staff really deserve a little outing, Mr. Employer (a very friendly man, haha). They work incredibly hard, and the tips are wonderful, but an outing like this is bonding.

Last Saturday we ate in Meppel. The building looked awful, both inside and out. Hygiene was lacking, with dog hair at the entrance and the floor absolutely filthy. The carpet was worn and had nasty stains. We waited an incredibly long time for the food, and it tasted like mass-produced food. We will never eat there again. Definitely not recommended.

great food only very small portions and literally “too good to be true” I ordered the street food platter which was supposed to contain all sorts of tasty things, including a hot dog bun with jalapeño and cheddar, which ended up being a 5 cm bun with half a sausage, and “nachos” which ended up being a bowl of tortilla chips and cold cheese sauce….and “spicy marinated spare ribs” which ended up being cold and unmarinated. and “sticky” pulled chicken, which ended up being cold and tough. never again.

Great food, friendly staff Only the entrance is not convenient for people who have difficulty walking (entrance is up a flight of stairs) and the edge of the table was very "sharp/hard" which makes it uncomfortable to sit. And I think the toilets are also difficult to reach for people who have difficulty walking (down the stairs) which is a shame...but otherwise we had a nice meal.

Again had a great meal in a cozy and nice atmosphere inside. Outside of the building, especially the terrace, needs some attention, unfortunately it doesn't look well-kept. Too bad it detracts from the whole.

First impression on the outside already has a suspicion, poorly maintained and inglorious impression, when we entered there was a penetrating old barn smell or something. The decor was okay. The friendly service made us give a somewhat positive impression, however the food were small portions, varied in quality from bad to reasonable. The desserts were okay. Have been to various Bregjes in the Netherlands, but this location gave us the worst experience so far. Too bad paid a lot but did not enjoy. This can be better! Especially the appearance of the building needs a makeover.

The food was great, the staff is friendly and hardworking. The building is not super modern and could really use a sweep. The table was sticky, the toilets were moderately clean and the dust was extremely thick on the radiators. Even a number of Venetian blinds were hanging very crooked; how hard is it to just hang them straight? Not much trouble I think.

Only ultra-processed food, made with "packets and bags". Although the service is fine, I would never voluntarily eat here again because of the quality of the food. I can well imagine that Bregje is a nice location for people who have less to spend and still want to eat something outside. However, not for me, I thought it was downright bad.

Drama! Spareribs waren niet te eten, ze waren voor gekookt, brrrrr , frites waren keihard gebakken, 2x aangegeven, maar de kinderen die daar rond liepen waren niet geĩntreseerd in mijn klacht. Ik moet zeggen het voorgerecht, (wel te koud) en het toetje redelijk was. Maar nooit meer in dit restaurant eten . Ik advieseer ook andere dit niet te doen. Laat je niet leiden door de prijs.

Een superleuk restaurant. Velen zullen er vroeger ongetwijfeld last van buikpijn hebben gehad op die plaats. Hier hoorden we namelijk of we geslaagd of gezakt waren voor ons rijexamen. Maar neem van mij aan dat je nu zeer zeker slaagt op deze plek!! Het restaurant zelf is mooi, modern en gezellig aangekleed. Maar als je naar beneden naar het toilet gaat zie je de verkleurde en versleten rode tapijt op de trap en ruik je de mufheid ofwel de nostalgie. En dat is zo geweldig. Het brengt je terug in de tijd. Heel bijzonder en ik zou dan ook zeggen: niets veranderen hierin. Het is prachtig zoals het is. Nog een dikke pluim voor de bediening. De kok heeft heerlijk gekookt. Het personeel heeft het keurig geserveerd. Een extra pluim voor de jongeman met rood haar. Een toffe gast die zijn werk met passie en plezier doet. Dit straalt hij ook uit. Bregje Meppel is een aanrader. Voor een betaalbare prijs heb je een heerlijk driegangen menu die met liefde is bereidt. Ik zou zeggen: ervaar hetzelf!!

But take it from me, you will definitely succeed in this place!! The restaurant itself is beautiful, modern and cozy. But when you go downstairs to the toilet you see the discolored and worn red carpet on the stairs and you smell the mustiness or nostalgia. And that's so great. It takes you back in time. Very special and I would say: nothing will change in this. It's beautiful the way it is. Another big compliment to the service. The cook cooked deliciously. The staff served it nicely. Extra kudos to the young man with red hair. A great guy who does his work with passion and pleasure. He also radiates this. Bregje Meppel is highly recommended. For an affordable price you have a delicious three-course menu prepared with love. I would say: experience it for yourself!!

Unfortunately I ran out of blond affligem beer, so I opted for Brands as an alternative, which was a mistake…

Good food for a fair price and usually good and friendly service!

We were not received upon arrival. Have to ask for a drink yourself. No explanation was given about the Christmas brunch. Brunch itself was really poor. Mini bake-off rolls that were all cold. The only toppings were ham, cheese and brie. Everything was mini. Except the cheese rolls. They were mega (and cold). Due to the buffet, there were several plates and glasses on the table that were not cleared, so we took them to the bar ourselves. Reported these points when paying and the clerk's response was always 'yes, but'. So it was not recorded as a sport. Won't go here again.

Disappointing experience despite affordable price: I was looking forward to a meal, but our experience was unfortunately disappointing. Although the price was affordable, this reflected in the quality and service. The quality of the food left a lot to be desired. The salmon did not look appetizing, and the chicken in the tacos and bao bun was not served warm. The ice cream had also already melted when it came to the table, and the crispy chicken had little taste and was not at the right temperature. This made for an unpleasant dining experience. The service seemed to be under great pressure, probably due to understaffing and lack of catering experience. This resulted in slow and not too friendly service. Little attention was paid to the guests. The tables were so sticky that the plates got stuck to them, and the toilets were not clean and were messy. In addition, mirrors were missing in the toilet area The low price is a plus, but it would be nice if this did not come at the expense of basic standards. Hopefully the restaurant can address these points as there is certainly room for improvement.

Nice concept 3 three course menu for less than 20 euros, I have eaten here before, except for the dessert the food was mediocre, I paid extra for the main courses, I cannot get a glass of tap water with my wine did not fit the concept, I personally think it is bad choice for us a reason not to come back again the cocktail was also a mockery, if you can't make a good cocktail then don't offer it, ice cubes in a glass with some mint leaves with some rum for 7.50 I wouldn't dare ask for this

We moesten in het bovenste gedeelte zitten omdat er verder geen plek meer was. We hebben een uur gewacht op het voorgerecht omdat de bediening niet wist bij welke tafel ze moesten zijn. Nadat we eindelijk ons voorgerecht hadden, moesten we zelf om bestek vragen. Als hoofdgerecht had ik gamba's met rijst, mangosaus en rode uien in zoetzuur. Helaas waren ze de mangosaus en rode uien vergeten. Mijn hoofdgerecht bestond dus uit droge rijst met een paar gamba's erop. Voor ons nooit meer Bregtje in Meppel!

Het is een vrij goedkoop maar goed restaurant. Ze proberen je van alles extra aan te smeren, zoals we gewend zijn van Bregje. Ga je daar niet op in, dan is het te betalen. De vegetarische plaatkoek is niet te vreten. Neem die nooit! De vegetarische quiche komt uit de diepvries en moet wel warm zijn, en niet nog koud op bepaalde plekken, zoals bij ons het geval was. Veel keuze voor de desserts dat is erg goed. De bediening is vriendelijk. Bij de zalm laten ze de saus op verzoek weg, Dat is erg klantvriendelijk. Je kunt er met een gerust hart gaan eten, maar kijk uit wat je neemt!

In het kader van de nieuwe omgeving ontdekken: een middagje Meppel. Leuke binnenstad met gezellige pleinen. Het was een van de eerste zonnige dagen van het jaar. Dan zou je denken dat de terrassen zo snel als mogelijk op gesteld zouden worden. Niet bij Bregje. Het lag er desolaat bij. Een grote jammer. We hadden een Early Bird menu gereserveerd wat inhoudt dat men vroeg kan dineren voor gereduceerd tarief onder de voorwaarde dat de tafel voor 18:00 weer vrij is voor nieuwe gasten. Eten is fraai gepresenteerd. Redelijk op smaak. Saté was zeker niet droog. Dessert van appelgebak was smakelijk en zelfs een soort van grappig. De meisjes in de bediening waren vriendelijk en brachten een flair. De gastheer was wat bot bij binnenkomst. Probeerde dit later wel iets goed te maken. Maar was daarnaast ook nauwelijks te zien. Misschien ook maar goed met een open gulp.

Mooi restaurant, groot maar toch gezellig... Hele vriendelijke ontvangst en bediening... Het eten was heerlijk, met een mooie presentatie op de borden.

Had dinner at the Bregje tasting room in Meppel on Saturday evening. Attractive place, friendly and quick service. The tenderloin was good, the mushrooms in puff pastry tasty. The French toast with cinnamon ice cream is highly recommended. Good price-quality ratio.
