We had a super delicious meal here!

Despite the not-so-inviting appearance from the outside, we had a delicious dinner at Bregje. The concept is great for the wallet and for a fun evening out. The food tasted very good and the atmosphere inside is very cozy and inviting.

When you drive up, you might think, "Hmm, what is this?!" But as soon as you enter, you are greeted with a friendly welcome and a beautiful, sleek interior. Good chairs and sofas. For a reasonable price of 23 p.m. for a 3-course menu, you can enjoy a delicious meal here. We opted for the shared starter with a variety of small dishes. Definitely give it a try; it was super tasty. The mix of different cuts of meat was also superb. My family and I had an excellent time.

The food was fine, and the girl who mainly served us was efficient and friendly. However, a number of (2 to 3) employees regularly stood behind the bar doing nothing. I wondered how this was possible, given that the terrace is full of weeds, the chairs and tables outside are very messy (at least that’s the first impression), and there are always tasks to be done in the hospitality industry. It is disruptive when employees stand still for long periods or frequently. (And one employee, in particular, is working very hard.)

Well, if you order the right thing you're lucky, but usually it's too greasy and not very tasty. Chef, use less oil and fat, a little Vitamin Love and you're all set. But they are moving, I hope they upgrade in Heerenveen.

The food itself was fine, and the service was okay too. However, it was very hot inside without air conditioning. But the exterior is not inviting at all and is actually quite messy. I understand that this location will eventually disappear, but surely the terrace and sidewalk could be cleaned up beforehand?

Great food at a reasonable price. The service is quick, skilled, and friendly. There is a pleasant atmosphere. Parking is easy at the Lidl or Jumbo car park, or alternatively in the parking garage on Kromme Elleboog.

Unfortunately, they are closing due to the lease expiring. As a result, we are moving to another city.

When we arrived, we saw what a previous visitor meant. From the outside, it looks really shabby. The reception was okay, and we were allowed to choose our own table. The young team is really trying their best!! Inside, the restaurant area looks okay. The carpeting on the stairs to the toilet really needs replacing. The cutlery on the table was sticking to the table, and the table itself was sticky too. I think it's due to the cleaning. That really needs extra attention. It is not a culinary masterpiece, but you shouldn't expect that for that price. And our goal was to eat something in Meppel; well, we succeeded at Bregje.

Had a tasty meal, prompt and friendly service in a cozy restaurant space. Around the building there is all kinds of street trash, planters with dead plants, an entrance mat full of hair, etc. The access to the downstairs toilets looks neglected and the toilet seat is broken.

Great concept! You can combine different dishes across several courses. The portions are generous and of good quality. The price is absolutely justified. The only downsides are the cleanliness of the tables and the somewhat dated decor. Overall, however, we were very satisfied and will definitely visit Bregje again in Meppel or at one of their many other locations. Due to high demand, we highly recommend making a reservation (online) in advance.

One major drawback for us was the dog that came into the restaurant near closing time. It barked loudly several times and jumped on the staff. Okay, we were the last guests eating. The dog also kept its distance from our table, but still. In our opinion, a dog shouldn't be present in a restaurant, if only for hygiene reasons.

The food wasn't good, but the glasses and cutlery were still there (clean though they were), but they didn't clear them away all evening. We won't have to do that again.

The food was really delicious. It was quite busy and a bit noisy, making it difficult to have a conversation or hear the waitress, but we took the crowd as a good sign that the food must be good. It certainly was, and the waitresses were friendly. The price is definitely not expensive for the quality of the food.

The food is good and tasty. On weekends, you have to wait a very long time for your food, and they rarely ask if you'd like another drink. There were four of us and a three-course meal took almost two hours. The sound in the room is terrible. It's very loud, and you can barely hear each other. The acoustics are poor.

It's an okay restaurant. The price-quality ratio is excellent. I had the tomato soup and the chicken satay. It tasted just as good as the rating. My girlfriend had the schnitzel, which unfortunately wasn't very good. The fish trio appetizer, however, was! It was a Saturday night, so it was very busy; we had to wait an hour and a half for our food.

There were eight of us and we felt completely at home. Great service, always attentive, and everything arrived on time. Three courses for €20 each, with a wide selection of individual dishes, something for everyone, and truly delicious. The interior was well-appointed, open, and clean. Only the exterior needed some attention.

Upon arrival, you wouldn't know this is a restaurant. The exterior of the building could use some updating. However, inside, it's atmospheric, the service is fast and courteous, and the food is good, and affordable too.

Another delicious meal. We were especially impressed with the service. They took my fish allergy and related food into account, even checking to make sure no one before or after us is eating the same food. Fantastic! If something is accidentally wrong, it's immediately corrected. After all, things can go wrong anywhere, especially when it's busy. The staff really deserve a little outing, Mr. Employer (a very friendly man, haha). They work incredibly hard, and the tips are wonderful, but an outing like this is bonding.

Last Saturday we ate in Meppel. The building looked awful, both inside and out. Hygiene was lacking, with dog hair at the entrance and the floor absolutely filthy. The carpet was worn and had nasty stains. We waited an incredibly long time for the food, and it tasted like mass-produced food. We will never eat there again. Definitely not recommended.

great food only very small portions and literally “too good to be true” I ordered the street food platter which was supposed to contain all sorts of tasty things, including a hot dog bun with jalapeño and cheddar, which ended up being a 5 cm bun with half a sausage, and “nachos” which ended up being a bowl of tortilla chips and cold cheese sauce….and “spicy marinated spare ribs” which ended up being cold and unmarinated. and “sticky” pulled chicken, which ended up being cold and tough. never again.

Great food, friendly staff Only the entrance is not convenient for people who have difficulty walking (entrance is up a flight of stairs) and the edge of the table was very "sharp/hard" which makes it uncomfortable to sit. And I think the toilets are also difficult to reach for people who have difficulty walking (down the stairs) which is a shame...but otherwise we had a nice meal.

Again had a great meal in a cozy and nice atmosphere inside. Outside of the building, especially the terrace, needs some attention, unfortunately it doesn't look well-kept. Too bad it detracts from the whole.

First impression on the outside already has a suspicion, poorly maintained and inglorious impression, when we entered there was a penetrating old barn smell or something. The decor was okay. The friendly service made us give a somewhat positive impression, however the food were small portions, varied in quality from bad to reasonable. The desserts were okay. Have been to various Bregjes in the Netherlands, but this location gave us the worst experience so far. Too bad paid a lot but did not enjoy. This can be better! Especially the appearance of the building needs a makeover.

The food was great, the staff is friendly and hardworking. The building is not super modern and could really use a sweep. The table was sticky, the toilets were moderately clean and the dust was extremely thick on the radiators. Even a number of Venetian blinds were hanging very crooked; how hard is it to just hang them straight? Not much trouble I think.

Only ultra-processed food, made with "packets and bags". Although the service is fine, I would never voluntarily eat here again because of the quality of the food. I can well imagine that Bregje is a nice location for people who have less to spend and still want to eat something outside. However, not for me, I thought it was downright bad.

Drama! Spareribs waren niet te eten, ze waren voor gekookt, brrrrr , frites waren keihard gebakken, 2x aangegeven, maar de kinderen die daar rond liepen waren niet geĩntreseerd in mijn klacht. Ik moet zeggen het voorgerecht, (wel te koud) en het toetje redelijk was. Maar nooit meer in dit restaurant eten . Ik advieseer ook andere dit niet te doen. Laat je niet leiden door de prijs.

Easter brunch for a fixed amount with drinks. Was well looked after and not difficult with drinks

Een superleuk restaurant. Velen zullen er vroeger ongetwijfeld last van buikpijn hebben gehad op die plaats. Hier hoorden we namelijk of we geslaagd of gezakt waren voor ons rijexamen. Maar neem van mij aan dat je nu zeer zeker slaagt op deze plek!! Het restaurant zelf is mooi, modern en gezellig aangekleed. Maar als je naar beneden naar het toilet gaat zie je de verkleurde en versleten rode tapijt op de trap en ruik je de mufheid ofwel de nostalgie. En dat is zo geweldig. Het brengt je terug in de tijd. Heel bijzonder en ik zou dan ook zeggen: niets veranderen hierin. Het is prachtig zoals het is. Nog een dikke pluim voor de bediening. De kok heeft heerlijk gekookt. Het personeel heeft het keurig geserveerd. Een extra pluim voor de jongeman met rood haar. Een toffe gast die zijn werk met passie en plezier doet. Dit straalt hij ook uit. Bregje Meppel is een aanrader. Voor een betaalbare prijs heb je een heerlijk driegangen menu die met liefde is bereidt. Ik zou zeggen: ervaar hetzelf!!

A super nice restaurant. Many will undoubtedly suffer from it in the past of having had a stomach ache in that place. This is where we heard whether we had passed or failed our driving test. But take it from me, you will definitely succeed in this place!! The restaurant itself is beautiful, modern and cozy. But when you go downstairs to the toilet you see the discolored and worn red carpet on the stairs and you smell the mustiness or nostalgia. And that's so great. It takes you back in time. Very special and I would say: nothing will change in this. It's beautiful the way it is. Another big compliment to the service. The cook cooked deliciously. The staff served it nicely. Extra kudos to the young man with red hair. A great guy who does his work with passion and pleasure. He also radiates this. Bregje Meppel is highly recommended. For an affordable price you have a delicious three-course menu prepared with love. I would say: experience it for yourself!!

As a result, it did not come across as noisy in the busy shop. We had a social deal menu, tasty, lots of choice, nothing wrong with that. Unfortunately I ran out of blond affligem beer, so I opted for Brands as an alternative, which was a mistake…
