Nice place for a drink and a burger. Food arrived quickly and the service was friendly.

Stop at the Grizzli for breakfast, we had the full breakfast, it was very good. Warm atmosphere despite the place being a bit small. Adorable servers. A good time.

Ordered chicken strips, which are spicy but that's not detailed on the menu and onion rings. I know they are fried, but they are way too greasy and I ate maybe 5 bites. Prices wasn't bad though. So there's that. Nice service and atmosphere

Husband is a rubbish cook and the wife breathes on your toast sausages were tiny eggs were quite dropped on plate beans was piping hot toast folded in half tomato was perfect tho great place highly recommend be back again..........been on my mind this place I'm actually still fuming my pint was more eggy than an actual egg my beans are still warm no doubt and one last thing the step and door is at a funny angle and a little slippy but met with a massive puddle atmosphere has also gone from a 3 to a 2

Nice and central place. Decent food, tourist trap and in my opinion high prices. The waiter was rude and gave the impression that we were not welcome.

Was a little worried about this being a tourist trap by the location at first but the food was great and a nice atmosphere served by a guy on his first day and he was doing really well! Friendly good food and not overpriced :)

The server did not provide a fork or knife to our table. I received it only after I went and questioned it. He apologized properly, even if it was really a mistake.

We had the steak sandwich which was absolutely fantastic! A full demi baguette stuffed with salad, pickles, sauce, cheese and tonnes of steak. It didnt even taste fried, it melted in the mouth so much it must have been braised 🤤🤤

Very good, hamburger, fish and chips, rogue tenders, bitten balls…. All very delicious, very friendly waiters. 👌

Mixed experience at Grizzly American Restaurant. After a long day of strolling through Amsterdam we ended up at Grizzly American Restaurant around 4 o'clock. We received a friendly welcome, but the table we were first assigned was not ideal. The window seats were low and stuck to the ground, which wasn't very comfortable, especially for my parents. Fortunately, we were able to sit at another table at the back of the restaurant. We ordered a delicious appetizer with [enter the contents of the appetizer here], nachos with melted cheese, guacamole and salsa, and of course something to drink. My mother and I shared a bottle of Viña Baroja Rioja Crianza, an excellent red wine that - unfortunately - paired perfectly with the disappointing nachos. My father had a Heineken beer and my partner a Radler 2.0. Unfortunately, the nachos were a major disappointment. The cheese was already completely hard when the dish was brought to the table, which is really not the case with nachos. The guacamole and salsa were also inedible. Fortunately, the appetizers were okay, but there is little to spoil. Despite the disappointing nachos, we really appreciated the cozy atmosphere in Grizzly American Restaurant. The service was friendly and attentive, and we felt welcome. Overall a mixed experience

The staff is very unfriendly, I would even say rude. They added potatoes to our bill, which we did not order. There was also no coffee (how is this possible in the center of Amsterdam) and eggs, so all egg dishes were unavailable. The food we ordered was delicious, that's true.

I've never had such a great burger in a restaurant. I had the pulled pork burger and it was incredibly tasty. Service was excellent, she visited us three times and brought fries and drinks. Really highly recommended.

Unbelievebly unpollite on the phone. I tried to call them, then i got yelled at and when i asked for clarefication (blaming them for ywlling at me) i got hung up. Never managed to make an order...

Visitamos este lugar una noche en nuestra visita a Amsterdam. Estaba muy ocupado, pero por suerte llegamos justo antes de que se volviera demasiado ocupado y logramos conseguir un asiento. Ambos tomamos las hamburguesas y un trago de Heineken. Las hamburguesas estaban excelentemente cocinadas y sabían muy bien. El ambiente era genial y era agradable solo para relajarse. Sin duda volvería a visitar Ámsterdam.

The food is ok for in between meals, but you shouldn't expect much. With the Grizzly Burger the bread was totally dry, but the meat was ok to good. The half chicken was ok too. Drinks were brought and others that were not ordered. The waitress probably doesn’t get her money for friendliness…

Fries are extra. Nachos were ok. Hamburger ok. Nothing special.

Il pub si trova nel cuore pulsante della città,molto bello ed accogliente con musica di sottofondo. Panini buoni ,patatine e birra ottima staff gentile e disponibile. Abbiamo preso due panini, una birra ed una porzione di patatine per un totale di 46 euro.

Ordered two Grizzly Burgers, one fries to share and two beers. Delicious burger, there was something a little spicy in the patty that was sooo tasty! They may look small in the plate but it was a good messy portion. Crispy fries and cold beer. Staff was very attentive, quick in taking the order and serving. 47 euros total for two was ok, definitely not the cheapest.

Personeel, met name de bardame erg ongeinteresseerd. Een van ons gezelschap is ziek geworden van het broodje pulled pork. Vind het geen aanrader, duur voor wat je krijgt en uiteindelijk dus ziek geworden. Loop evenverder richting Nieuwnedijk en vindt veel gezelliger en goedkopere restaurants met een vergelijkbaar aanbod. Jammer dat we dat niet eerder hebben gedaan

Came across this place while walking, we stopped for dinner. It was lovely, food was fresh and service was good. It was quite quiet when we went but I can see this being busy later on in the evening.

Good stop if you're looking for a meaty burger. We got the Grizzly burger and the Chicken burger. The Grizzly did not disappoint - well cooked and seasoned, dripping, very messy - hit all the right spots. The Chicken burger was quite dry and lacked an extra dimension. The coleslaw was surprisingly good, a very nice addition. The plates are awfully big making them feel quite empty. The burgers come without any fries, so there's a big empty spot on the plate. The service was ok. At the end they will give you the option to tip, which might be a turn off for people, so keep that in mind.

The Grizzly looks great from the inside and the staff is very friendly and nice. The food was ok but nothing more. I had fish and chips. Unfortunately the fries were unsalted and the fish reminded me a lot of fish fingers. After all, it was a very good “fish stick”. There was also a little salad.

Relaxed and enjoyed the vibe. The Bitterballs were delicious and the superfood salad was tasty and filling.

Wrong dishes came out for my partner I ordered the brisket wash dry over cooked and the table beside us had the wrong dish also came out and they we're 25 minutes waiting on the right dish and we were still asked if we would like to leave a tip really that's some neck.

Probably just a matter of taste, it's too greasy for me. Fries are too soft, but beer and citizens are not bad.

The place is very well located, and the service is relatively good, but they don't help the customer when ordering food because they say the dishes come without sides so that you order more food. In reality, the dishes do come with sides when served. So, they make you order extra food because they don't specify this well when you're ordering. The food is relatively good, but as I said, the waiters need to be more honest when helping you order.

The food only looks good in the photos but it's not tasty at all when you really try it. The hotdog was tasteless. The classic burger was okay. The wings were meh. To top it off, the server misheard my order and got me a half chicken instead of a chicken burger I ordered, and when I tried to explain, she went "no but you ordered the chicken, anything else?", cutting me off so dismissively, which ruined the whole dinner. Unpleasant experience overall, not recommended.

Just any burger, same you can get anywhere in your home town. The burger took a long time to come. Starters were very bad. Service was mediocre.

There aren't many restaurants in Amsterdam city that I would visit. Grizzly is really worth a visit. Very tasty food, freshly prepared. The service staff is awesome. Very small, like everywhere in Amsterdam but very, very good!

There were 6 of us, everyone was very pleased! Portion ok compared to the price.

Very nice Burgers and the people working there are polite and friendly. Definitely worth eating there! Their signature Grizzly Burger is extremely tasty while not being as greasy at like most other places. The only small downside being the fries which are thin and not like steakhouse fries which isn't a problem really. They would improve the overall experience, though.

Came across this lovely little place while looking for somewhere to eat. Staff was friendly and welcoming. And the food was more than we could have hoped for, absolutely delicious. Only wish we had discovered this place earlier in our holiday as would have enjoyed a return visit.

An outstanding experience as a single diner. My recent visit to Grizzy was truly memorable, starting with their classic burger— in my opinion the best burger in Amsterdam. It was cooked exactly as I had requested, and the blend of well chosen ingredients struck the perfect balance between robust flavour and delightful simplicity. The creamy cheese and the crisply toasted, slightly sweet bun elevated the whole experience. The seasonal beer, a Belgian-style Ambre ale currently on offer, with its slightly dry flavour profile, was an excellent match for the meal. The selection changes seasonally, ensuring there’s always something new to try out. Although initially disappointed by the unavailability of local Damrak gin, the Hendrick’s gin and tonic served was flawless in mix and presentation, achieving an appealing balance without being overdone. The window seat provided a vibrant view of Amsterdam life, a city that brings diverse people together. The bar's atmosphere, with its mix of 80s and 90s pop and rock and sports screenings, is perfect for a relaxed meal with a partner or friend. Additionally, the bar's policy on not accommodating large groups preserved the peace, and the staff's tactful management of such situations ensured everyone left in good spirits. Grizzly American Bar is a gem, ideal for those looking to enjoy superbly crafted food and drink in a friendly and inviting setting.

I never advise the restaurants where staff don’t know how to treat.

We had lunch here a few days ago and today for the second time. Today was a very bad experience. The food was not good and the waitress was extremely rude and hostile for no reason. I would not recommend this place, in the same area there are better alternatives with more suitable and friendly staff.

It's a nice pub where you can eat. We have eaten well. I opted for a chicken burger. It's not the best burger but it wasn't bad. The waiter was lovely, we had a great time.

Meat lovers paradise. Finally got here for some ribs! Meat was delicious and tender, just fell off the bones. Decent pint of Heineken larger here and staff are polite, professional and attentive. Probably not the cheapest place but definitely worth a visit.

Unfortunately the visit today 29 April at lunch time was terrible ,iam a cliënt that eat here always they have really good food and nice bar but the two ladies today that where working on lunch where VERY VERY RUDEEE and they have BAD TEMPER for no reason !!!!! like we tried our best to be nice and understandable that maybe they have pressure from work but they kept looking at us as if we are disgusting!!! and wispering and talking in a rude way I even left a tips of 7 euros they didn't even say if the food was good or even thank you!!!!!

The place, food and pricing are good at Grizzly, Warmoesstraat 64, 1012 JH Amsterdam, Netherlands. The only thing we were disappointed with, is the slim girl crew that was working today (27/04/24), as she was very rude and so as the chubby girl crew. The slim girl crew is full of attitude, unwelcoming manner, and no good quality customer service at all. We would like to say to both of these crews, who are working today, please do remember, that your pay comes from the customers like us. If it's not for the customers, you would not have a job. So please treat all your customers, regardless of their races, with respect. If you can't, then you shouldn't be working in that place, as you are giving the place and the owner a bad reputation, or perhaps, you two are just plain races. You two should have more further training in customer service.

We had tenderloin and rib eye and I have to say it's been hard to find a restaurant which cooked steaks as requested, but not only was the meat quality top notch but they were cooked exactly as requested, one was medium rare and the other one rare! But the pièce de résistance was the humble onion rings which was unlike any I'd had in UK, they were filled with 2/3 rings of onion and cooked in crispy batter with a juicy flavour full inside!! Partnered with great attentive service and it's a place I would heartily recommend to anyone who was looking for a decent steak 👏👏👏

Very good I had the ribs they were soft. However, we waited more than 30 minutes for cold plates, cold fries and cold ribs in the end but hey the waitress was nice. However, the waiter didn't give me much time to hesitate when taking my order.

In Amsterdam, there are many dining options, but if you want to eat American style, this is a good option. Their burgers are very good and the prices are acceptable.

I was expecting something totally different. The burgers are a little dry and don’t resemble anything American, but they are served looking good. We had a pulled pork burger and two classic grizzly burgers, nachos as starter but arrived with the same time as the burgers so it totally lost its purpose. 5 cokes to wash down the above and paid Taste is okay but don’t expect anything special. We paid €90 for the above mentioned. Service is very kind and actually pretty fast. I did wait a good 15 minutes to be able to pay, and the place was not crowded. However the place has nothing to do with the States in it looks. In general I I don’t understand why they call it American restaurant. Anyhow, it’s worth a try once.
