Bad service, very expensive for what you get, and simply not worth it.

Cool little American style sports bar. TVs mounted all the way around the room above the bar so it's a good choice for watching a game. Place is pretty small so either you won't be able to get in or you'll definitely be able to see a screen! They were showing the world cup. They have air con, so it's nice and cool inside - though there's a bit of a dripping issue in front of the bar on one side that they should fix. Bartender was at least aware and warning people before they sat down. The beer menu is a bit boring. Would be cool if they had more American beers.

We stopped by for a nightcap; the grey-haired waiter greeted us warmly, and we were able to take a seat at the bar. Football and a talk show were playing on the screens upstairs. However, the music was far too loud to allow for conversation – that was the only downside!

Burgers come with no fries which I suppose is normal there. But the waiter got the order wrong and the vegan burger was raw as hell. Was the most expensive meal I had in Amsterdam and the worst one.

We had made a reservation for a larger group. We then had to wait 10 minutes because the staff hadn't prepared anything and had to rearrange tables. Some other guests even had to be moved to different seats. Many of our orders came with the wrong side dishes. The pulled pork burger was tasty, but the price-performance ratio was definitely not right. The service seemed overwhelmed and unmotivated.

Visited on Thursday, June 4, 2026. The Caesar salad is one of the best I've ever had. A very large portion and filling. The dressing mixed right into the salad and the delicious potatoes in the salad are a big plus for me. Served with a good beer and Dutch apple pie. Delicious!

We were searching for a brunch place and stumbled upon this restaurant. Although it is not exactly a brunch thing it was still really nice. Our server was amazing, i had a sore throat and she gave me honey and gave me something to wash my hands after. The food took a little long to come but we came right in the middle of a rush so that’s understandable. All in all it is a really nice place, clean and the food is great.

Grizzly Bar in Amsterdam is a great spot if you’re looking for a relaxed place to enjoy hearty American-style food and drinks in the city centre. Located on Warmoesstraat, close to the Red Light District, it’s an easy stop while exploring the nightlife in Amsterdam.

We stumbled upon this restaurant completely by chance today—it looks really stylish. The woman behind the bar today is incredibly beautiful and polite🥰 We chatted for a bit, had some delicious beer, and ate some crispy onion rings. It was time for us to leave, but we’ll definitely be back, and we highly recommend everyone stop by. Auguriamo ogni successo al vostro ristorante 🍀😉

We tried to have a relaxing dinner for 4 but it was impossible. We tried to sit at the back of the pub, were there were some sofas but they drove us to a very small table instead. The benchs were fixed to the floor and there were no space to leave our bags and coats, so it was a real change getting to have our meal. The pastrami sandwich was too short on pastrami and too filled with a weird liquid tomato sauce. The angus buger was quite good. The ambient was loud, but it is reasonable for a sports pub.

This is the second year I've been to this place and I still love it. The waiters are very friendly and the food is very good. It's a couple of euros more expensive than on the street, but it's well worth it to sit down, relax, and enjoy good company. I recommend: The chicken sandwich actually had chicken in it.

We stopped by Grizzly a few times during our visit to Amsterdam and really enjoyed it each time. It’s a small, cosy bar with a lively atmosphere and friendly, attentive staff. We visited both in the afternoon for a couple of Heinekens and again later in the evening while heading back to our hotel, and the vibe was great on both occasions. It’s the kind of place that doesn’t try to be anything it isn’t, just a relaxed bar with good service and a welcoming feel. One of the staff members even took the time to recommend a few less touristy places to visit in Noord Amsterdam, which we really appreciated. A great little spot for a casual drink and somewhere we’d happily return to.

I came here for the first time. I wanted to pay, but the card didn't work. The bartender said I didn't want to pay, and then my girlfriend's card just wouldn't work. The bartender was so angry and simply wouldn't listen. He thought we didn't want to pay. Afterward, we ran into people after us who also couldn't manage it, and they were removed just like us. I've never been treated so unfriendly. He was the most unfriendly man I've ever seen behind a bar. I will never come back here again.

A lovely little pub right in the city center, close to the main train station. The waitress was incredibly sweet and good, and the owner seemed to enjoy his work. That's how it should be.

Came to grizzly as my partner thought the atmosphere looked good from the outside. As soon as we walked in the barman was super friendly. We sat at the bar and ordered food and drinks, he was super knowledgeable about everything even though he was new to the job. The super nachos were delicious and the drinks were even better 😋

Freaking idiots... First at 9 PM kitchen they said it was closed. At 11 PM they said the bar qas closed, even thought bar was almoat full... Imbecils..

The beer is good, but I can't say the food is very good. The flavors could be improved. The seating is very small. The service is also quite slow.

I absolutely loved this place! The food was delicious, portions were generous, and everything had that real American taste. The atmosphere was cozy and lively, and the staff were super friendly and attentive. Definitely one of the best spots I've visited in Amsterdam - highly recommend it!

Avoid at all costs. Visited here for dinner one night while on holiday. The older white haired gentleman who told us he was the manager was rude and obnoxious. In hindsight we shouldn’t have stayed for food. He kept coming over to our table and talking nonsense when we just wanted to have a quiet meal. The food was okay but the erratic behaviour of the said manager really made us feel uncomfortable and quite clearly he had been drinking. A shame as it’s a nice establishment. We won’t be back.

Had some drinks, bar service was good but we were bothered by a grey old drunk, loud and smelly man who sad worked there but was clearly not working. In fact the opposite, he was scaring people away. He seemed off. Ruined the ambiance so we didnt tip

Highly recommended. The service is 10/10, very friendly staff and great vibes. It’s very close to the street that takes you to Amsterdam Central Station, but much more relaxing without the noise of the main street. I had a burger that was delicious, with very fresh vegetables. I don’t normally write reviews, but this one definitely deserves it. My wife ordered the fish and chips and she loved it as well.

They seemed annoyed that we were going there for dinner. It really bothers me that in places where they're required to provide glasses of water, especially for children, they tell you no, it has to be a bottle, which costs no less than 5 or 6 euros. The ribs were just plain good.

El personal era brillante. Tener una broma con nosotros, darnos la bienvenida, hablar con los niños, dar consejos, etc. Aunque esto es un bar, la gente parecía estar allí para comer una hamburguesa. Los niños ( 11 y 14 ) fueron bienvenidos y no sentí que estuvieran fuera de lugar. 3 de nosotros comimos hamburguesa de ternera que todos coincidimos extremadamente bien. Comí hamburguesa de pollo que estaba bien. Extrañamente IT estaba hecho de pollo picado en una empanada. Mi pedido estaba mal la primera vez, así que esperé a la hamburguesa correcta. El personal estaba muy dispuesto a complacer. No pude evitar pensar que si esto fuera en Estados Unidos (sé que estamos en Amsterdam pero es IT temática estadounidense) ¡no nos habrían cobrado por la hamburguesa!

Locale tipico dove si può bere e mangiare bene . Il menù per la cena non è forse molto ampio ma tutti i piatti che abbiamo provato erano ottimi. In una zona molto turistica della città, consiglio questa soluzione.
