Travelled from Uk came here a a pit stop for food whilst wondering around Amsterdam, it was delicious my partner had burger . I had potato skin and the MOST delicious chicken wings. really great

The food was good and the girl who served us was nice, but when it came time to pay, a guy forced us to give a 10% tip, saying he earns minimum wage (I do too, and I don't force people to tip). I think it's completely out of line.

No splitting the bill policy - when you have a 120€ bill for 4 people, it just looks unbelievable

The food was good, but we were disappointed by the service and the fact that there was no tap water. The waiter also gave us mayonnaise without mentioning that it came at an extra charge.

Nice enough. A little overpriced but expected for a tourist spot. Some of the dinner doesn’t come with sides like it’s just chargrilled chicken which on its own was 20 euros and we had to add sides on top. The vegan burger was nice! Was a nice change to have falafel rather than beyond meat. Wish it came with coleslaw or avocado or pickles for more flavour.

Really bad. I had literally a plastic bag in my drink. A beer costs like 8 euros and they charged extra for every little thing.

I took myself off to the Dam for a little birthday treat and decided to visit this establishment for my dinner. Seeing as it was a treat, I decided to go for the T-Bone steak (med-rare of course). The first thing I should have noticed is that the cost only includes the steak and all other extras need to be purchased. I know this is common practice in a lot of places, but I'd only expect this from high end establishments and this is not one of them! So I dumped another €15 on fries and mushrooms which stung a bit. I also opted for a glass of house red wine to start with. The steak was delivered in good time and on first glance, looked very appealing, however, eating it proved to be a whole different experience... One side of the steak was stringy, chewy and overcooked, bordering med-well, whereas the other half was barely cooked to medium and was quite flavourless. The fries and mushrooms were very nice tho!! Within 3 minutes of recieving my food, before I even grabbed my cutlery, I was checked on by a waiter to make sure all was ok! I asked him for another glass of wine and off he went... Out of the building and down the road!! He returned to the restaurant a few minutes later and carried on with his duties but neglected my request for the wine. Until I was ready to pay, I was ignored and left to eat my food. Wasn't a great experience and judging by the other offerings in the local area, I feel I could have had a better evening elsewhere. Not the best place and certainly not the worst

I recommend this restaurant. We ate very well, the welcome and service were excellent.

The waiters rarely showed up. My tuna steak was—despite my request for medium—well-done and no longer tender. The baked onion rings were very good, crispy, and not greasy.

Avoid this place if you want to get good value for money and know exactly what you'll end up paying! In fact, you'll be charged additional taxes not mentioned upfront, in addition to the prices displayed on the menu. The main course (meat or fish) is served alone on the plate without even a few frills for presentation. All side dishes are extra. The Caesar salad is mostly lettuce and doesn't even have any dressing. A real disappointment considering the steep price.

We had the sweet spare ribs and the T-bone steak. Both were delicious, perfectly cooked, and super tender. The curly fries were crispy and well-seasoned; we really enjoyed them. We received friendly service from all the staff and had a great evening.

We sat outside and were served relatively quickly for our drinks, but that was it. We were ignored and couldn't place any further orders. The Coke wasn't on the menu, and a small 0.25l Coke costs €5! We came here because of the positive reviews, but unfortunately, we can't confirm them at all.

The fries were bland without any sauce, and both the steak and burger were average at best. Given the high prices, I can confidently say that it just wasn't worth it.

My partner and I had a delicious medium-rare steak! Everything was delicious and cooked to perfection. The staff was very friendly and welcoming! It's a shame there was construction going on next to the terrace, but otherwise it was superb.

It was so-so. My burger was good, but it came with fries, which were served without any dip. They weren't that seasoned either, so I almost couldn't eat them because they were so dry. My friend's steak wasn't worth the €30 price tag either. We'd probably eat somewhere else next time, but the service was friendly and helpful.

We attended an event with around 100 people. The preset menu (2 choices) was superb: Tasty, well presented, and lots! We started with buffalo wings, beautiful fresh salad and steak done to perfection. We also enjoyed wine.

We used to come here all the time, but today they tried to fool us. We asked for 200 grams of meat, but they claimed they gave us 300 grams. Also, there were black particles in my wine glass, and they didn’t care at all. The staff are nice, but the one acting like the boss — please, no. I ll go never again

Only when we received the bill were we told that service wasn't included in the price. We were then told we'd have to pay an additional 10 to 20% on an already hefty bill. There was also no hot water available. The food and location are certainly fine.

Very disappointed with the meal and the service, and the staff were unfriendly. The usual beers on the menu are out of stock? There's another beer menu, but it's priceless! Meat without a side dish is an extra charge, and a large salad with no dressing. Absolutely avoid.

A bit pricey at €22 for ribs without fries, which you have to pay for as an accompaniment... otherwise, the wait time was normal for the rest, the waiter was very nice and pleasant. Our dishes were very good.

It was really hood kind people and good meat

Came here for dinner last night without a reservation, so we were happy to be seated on a Friday night. The service was o-kay, nothing special. Slightly slow for taking orders, but the food and drinks arrived promptly. The food is exceptional. No complaints whatsoever; fresh and great quality. The daiquiris are made with fresh strawberries (a rarity nowadays) Be wary that when ordering, they will ask all the usual questions (what sauce, sides, how you would like it cooked etc) although they ask these questions, everything comes at an additional cost. The meal ended up costing a lot more than we thought, but the quality does make it worth it. Highly recommend to those willing to pay.

Mediocre burger joint. You can have a good meal, but you won't miss anything. My meat was lukewarm, but the toppings were generous. The atmosphere was so-so, the music a bit too loud.

There were nine of us dining – it started off well: the food and drinks arrived quickly, a few small items were forgotten, but nothing dramatic. Unfortunately, service ended after the main course. When we finished eating, we actually wanted to treat ourselves to dessert and start the evening with a few more drinks, but unfortunately, that didn't happen, at least not in this restaurant. Our plates were cleared after 30 minutes, but only because we decided to leave. The waiters ignored us and apparently had no interest in making money from a group of nine. No second drink, no dessert. If it had been full and the waiters had been busy, it could have been excused, but not when the waiter was standing behind the bar, tasting the wine and vodka himself. When we decided to leave the restaurant, they tried to explain to us that we MUST choose between a 15%, 20%, or 25% tip. We were quickly able to convince the waiter of the opposite.

At first, everything went great. The drinks were ordered quickly, as was the food. Everything arrived at the table quickly. Overall, the food was delicious! From then on, we were completely ignored for 30 minutes (including the food). The table was neither cleared nor were any more drinks ordered. We each had to calculate the bill ourselves, since there were several of us and everyone paid for themselves. It was kind of sad.

Worst steak I’ve had in a long time. Burnt dry and tough. After we returned the steak we got a 50€ discount. But still needed to pay 100€ for steaks.

We sat outside, which had a really nice atmosphere. The staff were friendly and cheerful, and everything went quickly. We got a table right away. My partner was very happy with his burger (with meat). I wanted the vegetarian jackfruit burger, but unfortunately they were sold out that evening. I had to settle for the falafel burger, which was a bit uncreative. Bun, falafel patty (probably not homemade), way too much mayo, lettuce, a slice of tomato, and vegan cheese. Tasty in itself, of course, but nothing special for the price. So, as a vegetarian, you shouldn't expect a huge selection. We were surprised that there were no non-alcoholic drinks on the menu. But of course, you could still get one. The cocktail was good too.

Got the wrong drink after repeating it clearly twice. We ordered the prawns twice. We got 5 prawns with 2 cherry tomatoes for €23.5. Fries and vegetables can be ordered separately and paid extra. The prawns were a bit tough. The table next to us got the forgotten order twice. Staff also doesn't always understand what you're saying. Finally, the toilet was dirty. There was no soap and the tap was completely loose. Papers everywhere because the bin was overflowing. A sad experience despite having read the other good reviews.

If you choose a burger, go for the Big Apple burger. The burger itself is a bit dry. But the combination is very tasty. The homemade sauce on it is also tasty. The fries that you have with it are also very tasty. Carpaccio was also very tasty

I would recommend it every time. The food is of excellent quality and the service, especially Mr. Ibrahm, was very friendly. He gave us excellent recommendations and was very personable. If you're hungry, come here.

Restaurant on a busy street. We arrived in the early evening and the rump steak (the signature dish on the menu) was already gone... The service was a bit slow despite the small crowd. The prices were a bit high for the standard quality of the dishes (we had a red meat and a grilled chicken). The fries were good (but were extra 😂). As mentioned in previous reviews, the service charge was not included and wasn't specified when we ordered. It was a bit of a shock because the server only mentioned it at the end of the meal, when we paid, and imposed a minimum of 10%, 15%, or 20%. We didn't pay attention to whether this was clearly mentioned on the menu... And yes... the sauces are also... extra (count 2 euros for a pepper sauce... industrial). In short, it felt like a rip-off and a tourist trap (and a lack of transparency).

If you serve surf and turf please train your chefs on how to remove the poo shack from the prawns, a big black poo shack was left in my prawns was absolutely disgusting, then the service staff had the cheek to ask for a tip when the service cost was added and they messed up our drinks order normally I do tip but not when a big dirty poo shack if left in my prawns would never go back.

The worst restaurant I have ever been. The food was cold, tasteless and disgusting but the worst thing was customer service. Didn’t gave any discount or tryed to solve the problem.

Large portions as expected. Couldn't even finish :) Customer service was very friendly and pretty fast. We had a Big Apple burger (which comes with a side of fries, even though the menu does not say so) and grilled chicken breast. Everything was fresh and tasty. It is located in a narrow quiet street, so we sat outside and had an authentic street dining experience.

The food is delicious and the dishes are quite large, I highly recommend it, we loved it! It is a little expensive but nothing out of the ordinary for Amsterdam and totally worth it.

I chose a 300gr steak with pepper sauce and it was excellent!

BEWARE OF TIP SCAM! Relatively fast service, decent food but nothing more, contrary to some reviews. But at the time of the bill the waiter tells us that "the service is not included" and demands a 15 to 20% tip. We pay (in cash), but after checking: in the Netherlands, the service is included! An address that benefits from tourists.

General atmosphere of the place was alright, but the server /staffs (we dealt with the male ones) weren't very good and quite rude. Went there on 6th April. We paid in cash, in €100 , the bill was about €93. After paying, told the server that I have not received the receipt. Sever said he thought he has given us, i said no. After waiting too long and still not receiving the receipt (and change) , we decided to leave and to let them keep the change. Probably language barrier, as I spoke in English. I think they thought we have not received the bill, seemed to not understand the meaning of receipt after payment. On the way out, one of the servers shouted asking if we have paid and my family was shocked, other customers were also looking at us. Again i told i had paid in cash, but they have not given the receipt after payment (and balance). Server still looked confused.They should have been able to check easily if we hv paid. Kept saying that he don't understand what I was saying about the receipt. Told him I have paid, and never mind about the receipt (and balance). We then left and they end up never giving the change of about €7. Server should improve communication to not embarrass us this way, atleast be polite if there's miscommunication.

After I had smoked an awful lot I found myself inside "The big apple" in Amsterdam, it was absolutely sick to see this restaurant when you are so tall that you can't feel your feet, the employees inside the restaurant were a bit annoyed when I just sat down instead and waited for someone to sit me down, I personally think they should just let me sit in peace and enjoy the geek, but each man to himself, the food was absolutely insanely good, I don't know whether it was because I was on another planet or because it was so good, but I will definitely come back next time I'm here.

We were the only customers they had when we arrived. We ordered a spicy burger and Nachos. The food took ages to come out the waiter after a while said the burger is ready but the nachos are being microwaved ( not a good sign). Eventually the food came out my burger was warm but just edible. My wife’s nachos tasted chemically like the dish had just come out of the dishwasher and it also tasted plasticky. We told the waiter who offered a replacement meal but as the whole experience was way below par I refused and asked for a refund on the nachos. The waiter said he could not give a refund as it was not his restaurant. Not the answer I wanted and I argued the toss with him but he would still not give us a refund and had to pay full price. 🤬

Disastrous service, except for the Italian girl who treated us very well and was super nice. They skipped the table both when it came to bringing drinks and food (it was a boy with a ponytail and glasses). We ordered some sweet potatoes and 2 sirloin of 200gr, he brought us a hamburger, a sirloin larger than the one we ordered and some twisted fries, we didn't realize that it was not our order and we tried the twisted fries (2 or 3). When the waiter realized it, he spoke to us in a rude manner because he got nervous about whether we had eaten the food or not (he literally told us like that) and I told him that we had tried the twisted fries, so he left the twisted fries on the table without even asking if we wanted them (we didn't try them again because we didn't like them). When it was time to pay, a colleague of his came (another boy with a ponytail, nicer than him) and charged us without even hiding the ticket from us (I had to ask him to show it to us why he even took it back). When I saw the receipt it turned out that they had charged us for the potatoes, without even having asked for them and on top of that without us liking it. When it came time to talk to the girl, she told us that we should have told the first waiter to take them. When the waiter left us the potatoes and left very quickly: very dissatisfied, of course you have lost two customers. It's a shame that such a nice and warm place has this service.

Service was alright except for the waiters not talking very good, fries weren’t very good. The worst part was I ordered a steak medium rare but it was almost raw. Not going here again

Food ok but not suitable for receiving larger groups. Difficult to take correct order. If the waitress then pours you a glass of wine, the evening is not really successful.

Order my beef burger well done and Mrs order medium - well gave her the well and me the medium so that put me off not sure how you could get it wrong but hay, also never once come round asking everything ok , finally guy came asked any desert we said have a menu 20 minutes later nothing so asked for the bill and left I read the reviews before hand but gave it a chance but not again , for 69 euro I could off gone else where

It is a small, cozy restaurant. All drinks and foods can be recommended without any hesitation, but a food I'd like to heavily recommend in the "grilled salmon", as it was the best salmon I have ever eaten. Reservations are recommended for bigger groups or the late evening, due to the limited seating options in the restaurant

Ordered a meatbomb for 2 people, a lot of (delicious) meat! The cocktails tasted good, even what was not on the drinks menu could be made. Location is great, service is helpful and friendly. Definitely recommended!

The food was delicious - there's nothing really to complain about here. However, we were very surprised that there were no soft drinks on the menu and apparently for good reason…. because “a large glass” of Cola, Fanta, etc. cost us a whopping €8.00 each?!?! To have paid a total of €16 for two drinks + that they weren't even pictured is, in my opinion, a disgrace... Food good, drinks overpriced.

Ate here today with my partner. Service was great and the food was very tasty and so much that we couldn't even finish it. From the name you would think that it is very touristy, but that is not the case at all.

They work the meat very well and it is not expensive for the quality they offer. The staff very friendly and attentive. A good option in the city.

La pareja que vino después de nosotros tiene su arranque y la red antes que nosotros. Decidimos pagar por lo que obtuvimos y nos fuimos. Incluso cuando nos íbamos le dijeron al chef que cancelara nuestro pedido dándonos la impresión de que ni siquiera habían comenzado la red para nosotros. Muy caro. Dos cocas y un pequeño panecillo nos costaron 20€. 50 . No recomendaría este lugar en absoluto.

The steak was perfectley prepared! The staff is really helpfull and friendly. I would recommend this place if you ever visit Amsterdam. The location is also good, because the clubscene is just a view steps away.
