The train wasn't running, so I had a good half hour to grab a quick bite. Upon arrival, I indicated that I was there for a quick stop-and-go. The waiter was incredibly nice and took my order immediately. In the open kitchen, an Italian woman was preparing all the dishes; the pizza was delicious! If we/I are ever in the area again, I will definitely come back for a more elaborate meal. Grazie!

We had a tasty meal, the pasta portions were a bit on the small side, just filling enough. We were a group of 5+ and there was only one cook. The food arrived at the same time but we did have to wait about 30 minutes for it, though that was fine for us. Otherwise, we had a delicious meal, just a shame that there was no free parking and the parking costs are over 2.50 per hour!

Please read the original review below ————————————————— It is worth responding to this ridiculous answer from the owner adding more disrespect to the one we felt visiting his/her restaurant. Especially lying about me visiting their restaurant before, while it was my first time at Den Haag (a city I will never visit again). First of all, we arrived without reservation but we gently asked for a table. I saw normal tables empty but the waiter couldn’t give us one of them without asking the chef, which I believe is the manager or owner of this restaurant. He asked her in front of us, we did not interact with her, but her response seemed disrespectful to me. She could kindly address the parole to us and explain the situation, but she simply doesn’t care and while we are looking at her she says clearly « they are only two give them a high table ». If that person is really the manager, she could simply look at us, smile, and explain to us that only those tables are available (although I could see normal ones empty with no reservation note). I also explained that for the waiting time, the general rule is to inform the customers that the waiting times are too long. Not doing so is an added disrespect to the first one. You should also stop lying about me. I have never, neither my friend, visited your restaurant. This was our first time at Den Haag, we stopped to charge our car before taking the highway to Amsterdam. You can claim whatever you want, but it looks to me like your comment is personal and not mine. If you spend more time enhancing your service instead of responding to comments, you would probably get less negative ones. ————————————————— ORIGINAL COMMENT A very disappointing experience, largely due to the terrible service and excessive wait times. We waited well over 30-40 minutes for our food, and no one warned us about the delay before we sat down (a basic courtesy you'd expect from any restaurant). It appears there was only one chef cooking for the entire restaurant, causing severe delays. When we arrived, the staff refused to seat us at a regular table, offering only high tables. Instead of addressing us politely, the person in charge completely ignored us and spoke over our heads to the waitstaff, which felt incredibly disrespectful. Later, when my friend asked for the WiFi password, this same person flat out refused. To top it all off, the restrooms are small (but honestly clean), and watch out for the soap dispenser, it shoots soap out with such pressure that it gets on your clothes instead of your hands! We definitely won't be returning.

We had a great time in this summer heat. Very friendly staff full manners who were vigilant all the time. The food was delicious Italian style and flavorful. Definitely coming back.

Our visit was completely ruined by poor service and an unannounced 40 minute wait for our food. The staff refused to give us a normal table, and the lady chef cooking was highly disrespectful, flat-out ignoring us, and she was very unkind. I put one star because there is no less, they didn't deserve one star.

When the service isn't top-notch (no knowledge of the menu), when parts of the pizza are burnt, and when there are errors on the bill, don't make those annoying and sarcastic remarks on top of that about ordering an extra box just to take the pizza anyway… We were willing to accept everything up to those remarks. That is why this review. Do with it what you will. In any case, we won't be coming back to eat here again…

I can understand that you were closed. What I don't understand is the unfriendly and disrespectful way I was spoken to. A polite explanation would have been sufficient. It is a shame that this happened, because unfortunately, this is why I am leaving a low rating. I don't think the owner will be happy with employees who speak to customers in this manner. P.S. It was a short woman with an Italian accent, so rude 🤮 but there was a Dutch boy who was respectful and nice.

We stumbled upon this place by chance once, and since then, it has become our go-to Italian restaurant. The food is delicious and the staff is always friendly. If you are looking for a regular restaurant, this is highly recommended.

We walked in without a reservation and were greeted kindly by a young employee who was helpful and wanted to look in the reservation book. Unfortunately, that good first impression vanished immediately. A woman (presumably the owner or chef) interrupted him in a harsh and humiliating manner, snatching the book from his hands right in front of us. She didn't even acknowledge us, even though we hadn't asked her the question, yet she took over in a rude manner. The tone was unnecessarily sharp and unequal, leaving the employee with nowhere to go. That felt uncomfortable; he couldn't stand up for himself even though he hadn't done anything wrong. The food was really good, but an experience like that sticks with you. How staff are treated says a lot about a business. Kudos to the young man for being able to let it slide.

We had a wonderful meal here. We've been coming here for Valentine's Day for several years now, and they always have something fun with that theme. The chef is very friendly and always willing to help :) We were also helped by Alex, and I really appreciate his elegant language and demeanor. The service was excellent and the food was delicious.

This is such a great place; the food is truly delicious. Everything is freshly made, and you can taste it. The staff are friendly and make sure you have a wonderful evening. You can tell they're passionate about their business.

The food was delicious. But unfortunately, the kitchen staff treated me incredibly rudely, which left me feeling awful. I only asked if I could take my dessert with me, and then I was told, "Don't you see I'm busy?!" You have to wait, or else you can leave...go!

I had a pizza tonno here, and the way it was prepared and tasted, by Dutch standards, was very close to what they taste in Italy. Of course, that comes with a certain amount of experience. But it was heavenly. Friendly staff and a beautiful restaurant. The location isn't very inviting, with a view of the parking lot and the road. But you can't have everything.

We went here for dinner with a group of nine. It was very pleasant, the specialty pizza was delicious with a thinly spread bolognese sauce that was still very flavorful. I found the crust a bit soft, so eating with a knife and fork is recommended.

A nicely decorated restaurant within walking distance of the Pathé cinema. The owner is Italian, so you might expect the food to make you feel like you're in Italy. Unfortunately, that was a bit disappointing. There was nothing wrong with the food, but it wasn't special or authentic enough. It was also quite strange that the soup of the month was gone even though there were hardly any people there and they were out of pesto. The service wasn't great either; when taking our order, they asked if we wanted the carpaccio with our main courses, and after we said yes, they completely forgot we'd ordered it. The price is also on the high side, as the dishes we ordered didn't contain any expensive ingredients.

We have been coming here for years and it is a shame to see how the service and atmosphere have deteriorated. The food is good but boring because nothing has changed over the years. The price/quality ratio has also gone wrong. Service is below par, you have to look up the menu online and it is not correct in terms of wines, there is no atmosphere (at least if you sit upstairs), errors in the bill. In short, we gave it one last chance and that was it. Not for us anymore. Really a shame

Expensive and poor, inexperienced service. Menu only online so everyone is looking at their phone while ordering. Only partly made up for by reasonable, but no more than reasonable, food. Nothing special.

Just had a delicious meal in an Italian family restaurant. Tagliate di Manzo with a nice Nero d'Avola as house wine. Tagliatelle with beef tenderloin tips and truffle sauce. Beautiful view of the kitchen. Modern decor, nothing is missing. Real towels in the toilet.

Disappointing experience & unprofessional attitude My experience at this restaurant was downright disappointing. The soup had an obvious canned taste and was far from fresh. In addition, customer friendliness was lacking. But what may be most shocking is how the restaurant responds to criticism. Instead of dealing with feedback in a professional manner, they choose to attack customers and question whether their experience is even genuine. They keep talking about "the past few weeks" while I have never indicated in which period I ate here. And instead of addressing the substance of my review, they focus on my other reviews, as if that detracts from the poor service I experienced here. A Google review is intended to share honest experiences. If a restaurant cannot handle criticism and would rather lose customers than make improvements, that says everything about the way they treat guests. I would recommend everyone to find a truly hospitable Italian restaurant - because unfortunately here you will only be served a portion of arrogance.

Terrible service. I called at 5:30 PM that I wanted to pick up my order at 6:15 PM, but in the end my order was not ready until 6:35 PM. No excuses nothing! What a bad thing! This is not the first time something like this has happened.

In a place where you don't just pass by quickly, but you should definitely go for the delicious food! You will be welcomed by hospitality and enjoy delicious food. In the same week we visited again to pick up as well.

I you ever want to have a unforgettable experience this is the right place to do so. Starting with Pizza’s, really delicious 5/5 my favourite PIZZA GUSTO. About pasta’s uff really do not know what to choose they are all really great super delicious. And the most important the STAFF 10/10 the lady in the kitchen super hardworking which the kooks the food with love and cares to the smallest detail. Definitely recommended

Such a shame. The pizza is normally delicious and that's why I try it every time, but the delivery is really bad and the pizza this time is also different than we are normally used to. After you pay, you will see the waiting time of 1.5 hours. Then you think okay, but when you call after 1 hour and 40 minutes you hear that the pizza still needs to be put in the oven. I understand that the restaurant is busy, but perhaps you should no longer offer delivery. Or indicate somewhere in the process that the waiting time is very long, then you can still decide not to do it. This is now the 3rd time for me that I have had to wait far too long for food, causing appointments to go awry. It's a real shame because the quality is really good. But it tastes different when you're so irritated 😞. By the way, I ordered at 650 PM and a weak pizza was delivered at 8:35 PM I am adjusting the number of stars because they subsequently handled the telephone complaint seriously and came up with a lenient solution.

I can confirm the review below about the soup: as an Italian grandmother who has been in the kitchen for years, you can immediately taste that the soup comes from a can or a package. In any case, it doesn't remind me of home. If you complain, you will also have to deal with a rude lady who thinks she can boss you around (she also seems to do so in the comments below). I don't even want my money back, but it was just a waste of time and effort eating here, it didn't taste like anything!!!

Tasty food and friendly service

Price in relation to quantity is way out of proportion. Shame. Because this made it a one-time visit for us. The pasta with truffle was very tasty, but also a small portion. We spent 175 euros for 5 main courses and 4 desserts.

With a lot of customers there was just one waiter who couldn’t take care of all tables on time , after a long time we could just order our meal and after a while we could receive our order, one of them was burnt!! Also there was not enough space between tables and chairs, we could fitted very tightly! Parking was also paying!! I never comeback there and never recommend to anyone else 👎🏼👎🏼

Er liep heel wat verkeerd tijdens ons bezoek. Op zich waren de gerechten lekker maar kwamen niet overeen met de beschrijving in het menu waarop we ons baseerden. Een pasta met varkenswangetjes bleek pasta met spek, de zalm met krokant jasje had geen korstje, het dessert mat framboos werd er een met aardbei (problematisch voor de persoon die het besteld had want die had een aardbei allergie). Bovendien kwamen de gerechten niet gelijk aan. De laatste kreeg pas zijn gerecht nadat de anderen reeds gedaan hadden! Tot overmaat van ramp kwam de chef bij ons klagen dat we moeilijk deden en nam gewoon de aardbeidesserten weer mee zonder een alternatief voor te stellen. Wat een gefrustreerde bedoening. Er zijn betere manieren om je vrijdagavond te spenderen met vrienden. Ik was hier al eens geweest 5 jaar geleden maar nu kom ik niet meer terug.

Ordered for Mother's Day at 6:00 PM. Called twice now and almost 9:00 PM but still no food. But I have also heard twice that it is on its way 🤷‍♀️ We completely understand when it is busy, but a call if it takes a little longer is a lot more customer friendly. We are not used to this from you. Shame. Just an addition since there is a response from the owner; corona or not, you could have just admitted that it was over your head. We were told several times on the phone that it was on its way and then it took at least half an hour to an hour before it arrived. My parents live a few minutes' drive from you and haven't picked up anything for years because it always takes ages. Even now that you no longer have corona. A simple apology would have been appropriate (at least) But instead you start talking about begrudgers who don't want you anything. That says enough about you as a company and we deeply regret that.

I recently ate at Gusto di It Alb and it was amazing! The food was delicious, especially the Mushroom and Truffle Risotto. The atmosphere was cozy and the service was great. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who loves Italian food!

We spontaneously looked for a restaurant and came across this Italian restaurant. There are a few parking spaces in front that are reasonably affordable. When we arrived there, we were greeted by a very nice and cozy atmosphere and immediately felt really comfortable. We ordered a beer, a wine and two pizza caprese. The pizza was one of the best I've ever eaten! The price was also reasonable. The service was also just great! If I lived nearby, this would definitely be my new go-to Italian place! Highly recommended! Keep it up!

If you order a salad without a certain ingredient, you will still get it. Very amateurish, and if you speak to the manager about this, you will also get a big mouthful! Food is boring and probably not fresh (I also see that in other reviews) and the waiting times are absurd. I really hope that this business will do something about the attitude of the staff and wish this business all the best.

We were unlucky...someone new in the service and somehow...my husband did not receive his order...it came much later...we had a lot of sorrys...but yes, that could have been countered ...because this would have ruined the nice meal together...and everyone has to learn it, I understand...but then it could have been handled differently...so as not to give us a negative feeling
