Last night we had dinner with 14 people. The chef's platter was perfect, with a variety of meat and vegetable dishes and accompaniments. Service was quick, despite it being quite busy. Everyone considered it a successful evening!

A very nice, hip restaurant with friendly staff and excellent food. We had a platter for two, with plenty of everything. Steaks, medallions, chicken, schnitzel, smoked pork, and in the middle, a pot of goulash, served with bacon-wrapped goat's cheese, braised onions and mushrooms, salad, and homemade fries with mayo and two different sauces. By the way, they also speak German there. The espresso afterward with a praline was also not to be despised; I still rave about it today. Thank you for the delicious experience. We'll be back.

We had a delicious carpaccio sandwich that wasn't too expensive and had a decent amount of carpaccio on it. It's a great place and we'll definitely return when we're in the area.

Nice restaurant. Admittedly located on a main road, but then you have something to look at. This restaurant has excellent logistics. Everything went smoothly. Despite being busy, they were on top of orders. The food was good. But the schnitzels were cooked a bit too long. The result: a dark edge and dry meat. Too bad. Otherwise, it's a great restaurant. You won't starve there. You get your money's worth.

Friendly staff, fast service. The chicken satay was very tasty, but the spare ribs, unlike the rest, lacked some flavor. However, the presentation was very nice, and the side dishes were also delicious. All in all, I highly recommend eating here.

We live nearby and had heard that the chef had recently become the new owner. The parking lot was already quite full, so we weren't the only ones. We hadn't made a reservation, so we wondered if there was room for two. The friendly lady showed us a few spots. The restaurant was well-stocked with guests, many of whom were vacationers, it turned out. The menu was clear and the service was prompt. The tasting menu beforehand, with a variety of small appetizers, was well-presented and delicious. And plenty of it. The main course didn't take long to arrive; it was delivered promptly, with a "are you ready yet?" message. A pleasantly presented and delicious food. Nothing fancy, just good quality and tasty food, at the right temperature, and more than enough. We found the price-quality ratio surprisingly good and were pleasantly surprised. We will definitely be back!

The service was good. The appetizer (beer-battered mushrooms) was delicious. We ordered a pork chop for our main course. Boneless, which was fine. You'd think of a nice pork chop, pan-fried, breaded, and deep-fried if necessary. We received a thick piece of pork, pre-cooked in brine, or perhaps smoked. Very salty because of the brine. It looked more like smoked ribs. Smoked ribs are delicious in thinner slices with sauerkraut in the winter, but not as a thick lump. We complained, because it wasn't even remotely a pork chop. The menu did say it was boneless, but didn't mention that the chop had been pre-treated with brine, then smoked and/or boiled, and then heated in a pan/steamer. After complaining, we could choose something else. We didn't feel like waiting any longer and declined the offer. At the end, we were offered the option of a house drink or removing the main courses from the voucher. We chose the latter. It was resolved very nicely. Everything else was perfectly fine.

On our way, we saw this ice cream parlor and were eager for some ice cream. We sat down on the patio at a table that hadn't been cleaned yet. It took a while for the waitress to take our order, and I asked for a cloth for the dirty table. After a while, she returned, explaining that the ice cream was only for after dinner, so it might take a while. We asked, "How long will it take?" "About 20 minutes," she replied. We decided to buy ice cream elsewhere. As we walked toward the patio exit, we saw the ice cream counter inside. It was strange that we weren't told about that option. And strange, if you're/own an ice cream parlor, that your customers can't buy ice cream. No cloth for the table, and no ice cream. We understand the circumstances (the kitchen is busy), but this is certainly driving customers away.

Very tasty high tea. Nicely presented. A delicious soup, no other hot dishes. Perhaps the service could be a bit faster 13:00 agreed to eat at 14:00. Our tea water was not refilled. Beginner's mistakes I think. We will just come back in a while. Hoping for improvement.

Have a nice lunch and you can do that here. Surprisingly tasty tomato soup. With my 12 o'clock snack with a really tasty hamburger bun. Egg bun was a bit less. Croquette just tasty. That with a local beer. Absolutely top. Service friendly, still have to learn a lot about how to serve guests. But if you don't think that's important. Absolutely fine. Price quality excellent. Highly recommended.

Nice restaurant, fresh, smooth and modern. The food was good both the starter and main course, but the meat was a bit overcooked/dry (pork tenderloin) also the mixed grill was on the dry side. The taste of the meat was fine! The fries were "to die for" according to my wife. Nice place, would go there again.

Lots of food and there are all kinds of old people. That's wonderful. So many people from other worlds in one room. Made for old people. Put on a Gastra coat and enjoy. If you have wrinkles in your head, you are in the best place here

Reserved Sunday evening 2 pers. Menu had been adjusted by the new owner, so not the same as on the website. Many dishes have become more expensive again (where not!). There are nice offers via social deal with a small menu, but no place for this evening. Reception, service, decor, atmosphere and drinks were good. After an hour and a half of waiting we got our main course. In my opinion this is half an hour too long. Pork tenderloin is only available with a piece of pork belly. Pork belly is larger than the 2 pieces of pork tenderloin, which were a bit overcooked and therefore on the dry side. That was a shame. Baked potato and raw vegetables were fine. Conclusion: Everything looked perfect and the taste was good. Too bad about the long wait and the pork tenderloin. I would like to see the tender pork tenderloin with brie back on the menu

Sunday evening with 2 people eaten. Friendly service, delicious food!

Booked via social deal, upon arrival our name had already been crossed out, there was plenty of room, a limited menu for the deal but the dishes we received, chicken skewer and stew, were well prepared, service still has something to learn, walking a lot but not efficiently taking the empty plates etc. and therefore it took a long time.

Today we had a delicious meal with Eddy and Jolanda and staff. It was great again, the staff was also very friendly. See you in 2 weeks.

We will for sure avoid this place forever. Never ever we have seen such a hostility in a restaurant in our life. Upon parking the car next to the entrance, since we have had two small kids with us, presumably the owner came out on the terrace and in a rude manner has ordered us to re-park our car away from the entrance, although the place was empty with almost no people inside and all parking spaces free. Upon entering the restaurant, we liked the hallway immediately, with all the beautiful painted plates on the walls and the big mirror. Impressed by the entrance, we walked into the large space serving as a wardrobe with hangers to look into the mirror with our toddler, just for fun, so he can see himself in the mirror, because kids like that. The other child was there with us, and one of us had this playful idea to gently close the wooden sliding doors of that space, just for a few seconds of fun for the kids. However, the sliding doors were mounted in a very unsecured and dangerous manner as they immediately detached from the rail and one door was hanging only on one hinge, while the other door completely fell out and was now leaning on one of us. Imagine a child would try to slide the door, and it would fall on it… In the midst of both doors falling on one of us, while the other adult was having a toddler on his hands and just managed to look back away from the mirror to understand what is happening, the man who might be the owner, walked out of the restaurant into the hallway to us, and instead of urgently apologising for this unbelievably unsafe situation and helping to remove the fallen doors on his guest, he ordered us to leave immediately in a really rude and cold way. So we left without a word to prevent any escalation in front of the children, however, this behaviour is truly surreal and unacceptable. Forget hospitality, think hostility, when you enter this restaurant. We wish the man all the best and hopefully he will find some peace, because this is not a behaviour of a happy and balanced person. It’s just a shame that some people allow themselves to take their own unhappiness out on others, and especially in a dynamic like this - a restaurant vs their guests with two small children.

Very delicious meal. Highly recommended! What's really great is that you "just" find 1 scoop of ice cream as a dessert on the menu. Affordable, not too much and still able to have a dessert... This really made me very happy!

We went for a walk with the dogs in Hellendoorn. Stopped at this restaurant on the way back. Everything delicious. Just before we left, the owner came to ask if everything was OK and if the dogs could have a slice of sausage...great...we will definitely be back

Nice and cozy meal outside. Delicious! Too bad they start cleaning everything up at 9:20 PM, which makes you feel like you have to leave. And I missed the flexibility a bit. You could order coffee with a special liqueur, but later not just the liqueur. But very friendly staff.

Zijn hier 2x eerder geweest en dat was oké, Bij de derde keer kwamen was het mooi weer maar we wilden toch liever binnen zitten, geen probleem zou je zeggen bij een gastvrij restaurant. De eigenaar stond achter de bar en snauwde: alleen buiten! Ik zei netjes dat we liever binnen wilde zitten maar dat was absoluut niet mogelijk omdat hij maar 2 man personeel had deze avond..... het is blijkbaar als je minder personeel heb niet mogelijk om binnen te zitten, want dat geeft natuurlijk meer werk..... bijzonder wel.... Geen idee waar de man last van had maar totaal niet klant gericht, ons vermoeden was dat we al wat later op de avond waren(19.45, ze zijn officeel open tot 22.00) en hij liever eerder dicht ging dan nog wat geld verdienen. Hier komen wij niet meer terug.

The reservation had not been received correctly. We could get the normal price, but not for the purchased voucher that had been reserved. Made a reservation for lunch and indicated that we wanted to do this via a giftforyou voucher. We believe we followed the steps stated on the voucher. Once there we are received by what we think is the owner. Then it started,,,,,,,if looks could kill you wouldn't live very long, you'd almost be chewed out and no of course we didn't do it right, we should have printed out a form??????The disgust was dripping of his face. Has he ever heard that customers should be received hospitably? What an arrogant prick, we left hoping he chokes on his own food. Message to everyone!!!!!!don't ever go there because your good mood will disappear like snow in the sun.

I ate here yesterday. I think it's a shame that the owner was quite surly towards the customers. Staff was friendly. Too bad there is no card for people with stomach reduction. And when we ask if we can take it with us, we are told no, it is not allowed. I think it's a shame because I had one skewer left. You pay for an entire dish.

We had dinner by invitation yesterday. They don't have a menu for the little eater. There was gossip about customers behind the bar. And upon arrival the owner scolded him that the car was parked incorrectly. While the parking lot was full of cars. There was no question of asking decently. Very sorry. At the table next to us, an older lady wanted to order a child's portion, but that is not allowed. There are also no senior portions. It's a pity that the DD owner brings the atmosphere down so much, while the food is very good and the service is nice.

Kwaliteit en prijsverhouding eten was goed. Mijn man en zoon zijn door de stoelen gezakt. Gemiddeld gewicht rond de 115kg. Zoon heeft paar dagen last gehad van zijn nek, viel tegen de verwarming aan. Kleinkinderen geschrokken en gingen huilen, leeftijd tussen 5 en 11 jaar. Vanuit de eigenaar lauwe reactie. Geen excusses. Gewoon volle pond betaald. Vriendelijkheid laat te wensen over. Wij waren er met 7 volwassenen en 4 kleinkinderen en komen hier zeker niet terug.

A hidden gem in terms of food. Were in Hof van Salland and this is really close. Starter, main course and dessert were very tasty, tasty beers, very good and nice service. Very thoughtful. Read reviews about the owner, but did not deal with it. Prices are very reasonable. I would say, just visit once, you won't be disappointed.

De bedoeling was om mijn man te verassen met een lekker diner. Over Dit restaurant hadden we goede dingen gehoord. Maar het tegendeel is waar. Mijn man had een varkenshaas die was koud van binnen en ik had de vegetarische lasagne. De smaak was goed. Maar helaas was dit ook koud. We hebben het aangegeven maar er werd niets mee gedaan. Bij het betalen werd nogmaals gevraagd of het had gesmaakt. We hebben aangegeven dat beide gerechten koud waren. Maar weer werd er niets gedaan. We hebben gewoon het volle bedrag betaald en zijn weg gegaan met een hele slechte ervaring.

We had a delicious meal in this restaurant several times during our holiday(s). From delicious starters, main courses to delicious desserts. We still think the highlights are the tender tournedos and the delicious spare ribs where the meat falls right off the bones. The tasting as a starter is also highly recommended! Top!
