Lovely large terrace and an excellent menu for lunch.

Bavet was good, but very small compared to the price. The cod fillet was terribly dry and full of bones. I'll never go there again.

Disappointment: After a long wait, an hour, we received the Bavette special. It was raw; we ordered medium. The COD WAS DRY. We heard another table complain about the same thing. The vegetable garnish was minimal. Fortunately, the waitress offered to reimburse us for the drinks. Unfortunately, we hope for better luck next time, but we don't have much faith!

We had delicious coffee on the last day of the 4-day cycling event. It was very busy, but they handled it well. Friendly staff.

2024: Simply a decent, good restaurant where the staff works hard to serve a great meal at a reasonable price. We had the farmer's schnitzel and the sea bream. Along with well-fried fries, a bowl of fresh vegetables, and a remarkably delicious, refreshing white wine, our evening was perfect. 2025-08-14: Extremely tired from the tropical heat and the first day of vacation. Because we'd left our ready-made nasi at home, we "had" to eat out. So, we weren't really in the mood. So my judgment may be a bit biased. It was mediocre. The rolls beforehand weren't anything special, and neither were the sauces. The sea bass fillet was reasonably cooked, but the accompanying vegetables (a small bowl of lettuce) were minimal and not very imaginatively presented. The dry white Pinot wine was mediocre. Crème brûlée was on the menu with stroopwafel ice cream and whipped cream. We asked if it could be made without the ice cream and whipped cream (we're light eaters), and that was no problem. Service was reasonably quick. This time, I didn't achieve the 4 stars I got last year. I can't go higher than 3. Maybe next time we'll do better.

We were there for lunch – a quiet day, hardly any customers, maybe two tables besides us on the terrace. We were seated quickly, but the menus took a while to arrive. The food was then ordered quickly – a burger with fries and salad, and a schnitzel with fried potatoes and bacon, but no onions. Even though it was so quiet, the food took a good 30 minutes to arrive... When it arrived, it was quickly clear that it was definitely not what we had ordered: the schnitzel, frozen quality, no longer crispy, a dry flatbread, with a pile of onions and bacon instead of fried potatoes. The fried potatoes then came with the burger, along with fries and salad. Here, too, with onions... The fries were stuck together, and you could taste more fat than fries. The burger bun was burnt on the bottom, but the burger was basically a good one. When we were asked if everything was OK, the only response to our expressed displeasure was whether we would like anything extra. We stuck with our original order, however, and left the restaurant with unfulfilled expectations and a rumbling stomach. And I paid a total of €60.00 for two bad meals and one bottle of water... Unfortunately, I wouldn't recommend it, even though the restaurant is actually quite nice.

Catering for a wedding on location for approx. 50 people. The buffet was very extensive and of excellent quality. Many compliments from other wedding guests about the taste and diversity. The whole was greatly appreciated, also the dessert buffet. Agreements were perfectly fulfilled and the service on location was attentive and neat. In short: a big five stars and certainly worth repeating for e.g. a family day in the future.

Yesterday, 23-5-2025, I held my wedding at De Tonne. The reception was warm, the staff is friendly and above all: the food is delicious! The agreements that we had discussed well in advance were perfectly adhered to. Dietary requirements, such as vegetarian guests, were taken into account. The ice cream buffet was also very nice, with actual fireworks! And in the evening the beer and wine flowed freely! No one was left wanting, and the whole evening there were staff walking around with trays full of snacks. The price is very reasonable, with a choice of various packages, for every budget. All in all, a very successful day. To all the staff at In de Tonne: thank you very much and until next time!

Lekker ouderwets eten voor een betaalbare prijs. Asperges gegeten, royale portie met voldoende bijgerechten. Ruime keuze voor een ieder. Bediening deed zijn best om tegen de drukte aan te werken. Prima restaurant voor een hapje eten.

We were a group of 13 people, including 4 children, and we had made a reservation in time, and had to wait endlessly for the dinner courses, without any explanation or excuse. Fries and potatoes come after the main course is almost finished. Food not great anyway. Not recommended

We reserveerden met 13 personen, waaronder 5 kinderen. We moesten voor elke dinergang zeer lang wachten, zonder enige verklaring of toelichting van personeel. Achteraf zei men alleen ' u heeft gelijk'. Het eten hield ook niet over in kwaliteit

Not worth repeating for us, the staff was friendly, but we had to wait quite a long time (45 minutes waiting for our food, there were 5 people). The mixed grill and the fish were quite disappointing. Afterwards we were asked if everything was satisfactory. Indicate this: steak from the mixed grill was impossible to get through, the spare ribs from the mixed grill were also not really tasty, actually only the chicken was tasty. Someone else had fish that was quite dry. All feedback was given but unfortunately nothing was done with it.

Had beef Tataki starter, but it was very mediocre. Had main course tagliatelle with salmon, which was swamped by too much cream and there was a hair in my food. The dessert, monchout cake, had very little bastogne cake. A drink was forgotten and the service offered no apologies. The atmosphere was okay.

Sunday night. Wait a long time before anyone comes. Just went in and ordered. Got the feeling from them that that was not necessary. The shop and outside were almost half occupied and I heard customers complaining about the waiting time. They were inside with the phone busy?? Unfortunately everything was/was not warm to the touch, a shame about the meat dishes and potatoes. Fries were nice and warm. Meat was good but quickly shaken because it was too cold. Ukrainian employee was very attentive and friendly. Not recommended for us.

Cozy atmosphere. Unfortunately, we only received our food after an hour. The salmon was then so dry that not a drop of moisture could be found in it. We were very thoughtfully offered a new one, but it was completely raw and cold. Baking salmon should be possible in a professional kitchen. In the end we filled our stomach with fries, which were excellent!

Ascension Day sat on the terrace, it was quite busy. Ordered some food, 1 pancake was cold when it was served. Something was said about it, the owner reacted very annoyed, but we did get another one that was also not warm. Asparagus with bone in ham, ordered cold drinks, waited more than 15 minutes, owner reacted pissed off about everything, used to come regularly, but I now think twice before we go again

It was quite busy on a Thursday evening, but during the May holidays. I suspect that it was busy with tourists because we didn't think the food was good. Lots of fries, a bowl of raw crust and (too) little meat. That work. Not recommended in our opinion (you can also go to the snack bar for fries for a fraction of the price).

We had dinner here last night via Social Deal. We had to wait almost an hour for the starter. We asked the owner when they planned to serve the starter. The response was: we have a party next door and therefore everything is a bit late. Very wrong planning. The waiter served the guests all by himself (which he did well, by the way). The next point of criticism is: you booked via social deal, but you had to pay quite an additional amount for many dishes that were on the menu. I don't think this is a social deal. The food and service were excellent.

Ate here tonight. The food and service were excellent. Service could use a more active approach to guests and empty glasses were not noticed automatically. Not all the meat was of high quality in the mixed grill, the steak was not from a young cow and a bit on the tough side. For the rest it was excellent.

Christmas buffet for 54 pp + drinks if there was a buffet, to call it a buffet, very bad, tough meat or too salty. Service girls really did their best, but 2 eggs on a buffet were too few and they were much too young and had little experience. cheap staff huh. 1 plus point that you got a sauna experience for free, what a heat in there. as with as to what people have already resigned in the meantime NOT WORTH A BUFFET.

Lekker kerstdiner gehad met allerlei lekkere gerechtjes

Via Social Deal voor 2 personen een tafel gereserveerd. Erg leuk dat wij de eerste Social Deal klanten waren. De ontvangst was goed en we konden zelf een tafel uitzoeken. Bediening erg netjes en rustig. Wat wij altijd fijn vinden is als het niet zo opdringerig is met, "wilt u nog wat drinken" etc. Als we wat willen vragen we het wel. Voorgerecht genoeg keuze en wat lekkers Proeverij van de chef en groentensoep (1x met bijbetaling) uitgezocht en was erg goed. Hoofdgerecht kwam mooi op tijd en net te snel en zeker niet te laat. Boeren Schnitzel en Mix Grill, wederom goede kwaliteit en lekker. De Schnitzel was lekker mals en sappig, niet dat uitgedroogde, misschien iets meer "boeren" erbij (ui, spek, etc.) Bij de Mix Grill vond ik de kipdij met spek erg goed gelukt. Persoonlijk vond ik de aardappeltjes niet zo lekker maar mijn vrouw wel, de frites waren goed. Nagerecht Creme Brulee en Notencoupe. de coupe lijkt klein maar gewoon 3 ijsbollen. Dat was ook de eerste indruk, dat het allemaal niet zo heel veel was maar als je drie gangen hebt is het zeker ruim genoeg, garnituur kon je gewoon bijbestellen maar was voor ons niet nodig. De sfeer is wat minder, had misschien wat warmer gemogen (is natuurlijk persoonlijk) en wij vinden het altijd jammer als er plastic bloemetjes gebruik worden aan tafel en er geen "echte" kaarsen zijn maar op batterij. Toilet netjes en schoon, ook niet onbelangrijk. Gaan we weer? Daar ga ik wel vanuit. Aanrader dus.

Van buiten wilde we er eigenlijk voorbij lopen omdat het er vanaf buiten niet heel aanlokkelijk uitzag. Het café waar we in eerste instantie heel wilde was dicht dus toch terug gelopen. Eenmaal binnen werden we verrast met een gezellige sfeer en een huiselijk gezellige bediening. Voor de prijzen waren de drankjes en het eten echt meer dan boven verwachting. Dikke vette aanrader dus!

Lekker gegeten, heelijk buffet.

Tja wat moet je schrijven als je een bezoek brengt op zaterdag morgen om 10:15 uur op een dag dat het buiten 13 graden is. Zowel binnen als buiten leuke zitjes maar voor ons was binnen beter 🥶. De jonge man welke de bediening deed was buiten ijverig het blad wat gevallen was op te ruimen zodat het terrasje er net uit zag. Het jonge man was vriendelijk en bediende ons netjes. Beetje een leuk muziekje op dat niet te hard stond. Goede koffie en lekkere stukjes taart met echte slagroom. Kortom niets op aan te merken.

We sloten onze vakantie af met een etentje bij "In de Tonne". Toprestaurant? Nee joh. Gewoon een goed restaurant. Lief vond het interieur bijzonder sfeervol en haar hoofdgerecht (vega) heel fraai van kleur en geur en ook nog eens heerlijk van smaak. Mijn hoofdgerecht was volledig naar mijn wens klaargemaakt; ik houd van gegaard vlees, ook als het biefstuk is. En wat blijken restaurants als "In de Tonne" de friet toch veel en veel beter op tafel te krijgen dan menig snackbar in een bakje. Als afsluiting kozen we koffie met vijf overheerlijke chocolades. De bediening was prettig en bescheiden. Samengevat: in al zijn eenvoudigheid een prima restaurant met meer dan goed eten.

Het personeel was erg servicegericht. Voor mijn jarige moeder hebben zij een leuke mini vuurwerkshow geregeld. En je kon er glutenvrij en lactosevrij eten. Het eten was prima.

Fijn restaurant met gezellig terras. Goede en vriendelijke bediening. Eten is heerlijk. Verschillende malen bezocht tijdens onze vakantie in de buurt. Zeker een aanrader.

Waardeloos een varkenshaas bestaat uit drie koude medaillons. De Champions die als championsaus met Champions word omschreven bestaat uit 3 eetlepels saus met daarin elk een schijfje champion. Drie gebakken aardappeltjes maken het geheel af.bakje patat en rauwkost komen daar voor de prijs van€23 nog bij. Wil u ook nog groente dat moet je er dan voor de fantastische prijs van €3.50 per bakje bij kopen. Meddallions werden weer opgehaald om warm te maken bak patat bij besteld iedereen was al klaar met eten zelf gegeten kwamen ze zeggen dat het nog drie minuten zou duren voordat de patat klaar was.hiervoor vriendelijk bedankt dat mogen ze houden.slecht slecht bedroevend weinig eten voor de prijs.ons zien ze hier niet weer terug.waardeloos

Het vlees was lekker varkensoesters met een beetje saus maar geen keuze uit patat of gebakken aardappels klein schaaltje patat voor 2 personen klein bakje salade geen warme groente alleen een beetje garneering op het bord .Kindermenu 4 kipnugets en een beetje patat wel een ijsje na kortom goeie kwaliteit maar klein porties
