I ordered for the first time yesterday, and I don't understand the reviews at all. It was really delicious (beyond expectations), and the staff on the phone were friendly! I thoroughly enjoyed it with the family, thank you so much, and keep up the good work!

Delivery takes almost an hour. Products are not terrible but not really good either.

Normally, I'm very satisfied. However, this is the second time my order has been delivered after about 2.5 hours. The second time, no one answered the phone. I understand it's busy, etc., but it would be nice if I could speak to someone as a customer. Now I can enjoy my sushi again, nice and cold.

Terrible place. Ordered via Uber at 17:50, came in at 19:45. Sushi is dry and forgot a whole roll and the loempia’s. Never going to order here again

Super delicious sushi, and always comes with extra rolls! If you order ahead of time, it'll arrive an hour later, so the wait is more than worth it!

Ordered last Saturday at 6 p.m., called at 8 p.m., but couldn't get through. We've since eaten something else. The order arrived at 9 p.m., but we didn't accept it. Since then, we haven't been able to get in touch by email.

The food was delivered more than 35 minutes late, which was a bit of a shame as it was already 8:20 pm and I had ordered it at 6:41 pm, which is a real shame as the price-quality ratio of the food was excellent!

Scammers. Food ordered through Uber Eats never arrived. This completely aligns with the other reviews. I regret not researching the place beforehand.

Absolutely horrendous. I ordered what was supposed to be a soft shell crab roll...I cannot even imagine what was in that roll. Have a look yourself. My best guess: the leftover bits of food they cleaned out from the deep-fryer the night before 🤢🤮 Also: just like so many others have said, the delivery took more than an hour to arrive

The food I ordered didn't arrive. Attempts to call were immediately dismissed. Thuisbezorgd claims they've delivered, which is completely impossible. Not recommended.

I'm seeing all the bad reviews, which I'm really surprised by!! I order here often and always find the sushi and crispy chicken curry bowl super delicious and good quality, oh yeah, and inexpensive... I easily get a stomachache from bad food, and I've never had that from this place. I live nearby, but my order arrived super fast... absolutely no complaints. When something went wrong with one of the many orders, I was able to resolve it with the person on the phone. All in all, a friendly staff member and good food for the price!

It was delicious and a perfect price for only 72 pieces it also arrived on time and enough soy sauce and wasabi.

Seems to be mainly delivery. We saw three delivery guys waiting outside - lots of reviews with complaints about deliveries taking a long time. We chose to eat in as we were walking past at dinner time - got two free sushi rolls which made it more than we could eat so we took some away after - not the best sushi but also not the worst

Worst sushi place ever!! Waited longer than the usual half hour and didn't get my food. I canceled and called. Bad staff or manager and poor service. Everyone who complained about this place is right!! Never again!!

Delivery often takes more than 2 to 3 hours longer than the order. This isn't indicated anywhere beforehand. When I called the branch, there was no answer.

Yes, they're sometimes late. And yes, they really need to fix that. But name me one place where you get 64 sushi (plus 30 free), so over 100 pieces, for €48 including shipping. The quality is excellent. I'm happy to wait, but I'll try to fix it, guys.

What an incredibly awful place! Two hours later, still no order. When I called to inquire, I was treated with extreme rudeness, and the "manager" hung up. I will never order from them again!

I ordered food from you, but I received the wrong items. The food was good, but afterward I received a call asking if I wanted to leave a review. So next time I'll order the correct one, and it will definitely be better.

Delicious food and fast delivery

Placed an order on July 2nd. Paid €51.11. Received nothing. Called. No answer. Emailed the next day. No response. Went there in person. "Yes, you'll get your money back." Still no answer. Called again; "Yes, you'll hear from us." Finally, three weeks later, they finally agreed to deliver the food, but refused to refund the money. I live alone; I had visitors at the time. I'm not going to make my visitors wait hours for food again. People order food so they can get it within an hour. If that doesn't work, you can expect someone to answer the phone. Think twice before you go with this company.

Ordered yesterday, July 9, 2025, and didn't receive anything. Called today, and the receipt didn't arrive until the next morning. But no one bothered to look into it or call. You have to do this yourself. The compensation offered is also laughable. If you want good food and to receive your order, don't choose Hayai. I ordered sushi, and two rolls were missing. Of course, I called immediately. Unfortunately, after 15 minutes, the phone rang and nobody answered. My attempt was abandoned.

What a horrible place. I had ordered sushi and after waiting for two hours I called to ask how long it would take. The man on the phone said it would be there in twenty minutes… In the end it didn’t arrive until three hours later. And they should have turned off the phone. The food was downright disgusting. Was there salmon in the sushi that was left over? And tuna that was out of date, hidden under a layer of sauce so that you can’t see the color but as soon as you turn it over…

We order from Hayai Sushi more often, but never received our order as fast as by delivery man Rano! Delicious Sushi to enjoy at home.

I ordered sushi today, if I had known, I would have indicated cash and not paid. The order came 2 hours later, the rice was falling apart, the fish was not fresh, after this sushi, my stomach started to hurt, I wouldn't be surprised if I picked something up. Not only that the sushi was terrible, the courier demanded a tip. Next time I order, I will indicate that I want to pay in cash, if the situation is like today, I will not pay, the courier will be in trouble (I will beat him up). And I called them, as a result, they rudely told me to wait another 50 minutes, and I had already been waiting for 1 hour. In short, I do not recommend it.

I had to wait 3 hours for my order. Contacted several times, phone does not ring, after 3 hours I received my order, food was cold, there was plastic in my sushi, shrimp was not cooked properly, there was only black stuff in my sushi, smells not fresh, sushi expired🤮

Ordered sushi at 17:20 via thuisbezorgd. At 19:45 the food is still not there. We had an order for 2 people so not even that much. Tried calling many times and they only answered after 15 times. The food was supposed to be on its way but it is still not there.

horrible service I had placed an order for spicy edemame with redbull, avocado maki, and crispy salmon, what do I receive a fanta with an aa and only the edemame with my avocado maki I then call the store and they say that the crispy will be delivered as soon as possible it has already been 1 hour I still have not received anything and the calls are not answered tomorrow I will definitely be here for their store worst sushi service you can get

Very bad experience We ordered sushi and only received the food three hours later. Tried calling dozens of times, but the restaurant was completely unreachable. In the end we got two small bowls of sushi for a whopping €45 - outrageous for the price and the service. Definitely not recommended.

Simple order of 2 Poké bowls took 2 hours to deliver. This restaurant does not use Thuisbezorgd delivery staff and clearly has a capacity problem. Also zero communication about the delay. When it was delivered, we had already eaten a sandwich and were no longer hungry for the meal that had been delivered. It was well past dinner time.

They are always, always, always hours late!

Ordered at 6:15 PM. I called the company several times, about 14 times, but unfortunately I could not be reached. Tried again, the gentleman indicated that he did not know what time the delivery would arrive. The order was already ready and would be delivered as soon as possible. However, after 45 minutes, there was still no food or delivery person in sight. I contacted him again and the gentleman more or less pushed it my way and I had to understand this. They wouldn't call every customer for a 5 to 10 minute delay. Sure I understand that, but before 2:15 am, I expect this. Home delivery also indicates that delivery can take a maximum of 55 minutes. Employee on the line, couldn't end the conversation normally and hung up angrily! Too bad, I hope the restaurant will really do something about their service!!

MEDIUM SUSHI, LATE DELIVERY Yakitori is tasty, but sushi is mediocre. We ordered the day before to ensure the sushi arrived on time, but it was 40 minutes late for our party.

Delivery took 95 minutes! Food was cold, prawn crackers old and tough and edemama beans not in skin and without salt. Don't do that, unfortunately they were at the top in Thuisbezorgd for me.

Dramatic delivery time. Waited 3 hours. I understand that it is busy on Valentine's Day, but without any interim communication, delivery of care at 11:30 am that was ordered at 8:30 am, registered as delivered in the home delivery app at 9:30 am, also not answering the phone in the meantime and not even an apology, let alone any other form of compensation. Downright bad.

A van from this company committed a major traffic violation in The Hague, and the employees were not interested in the residents' reactions, very disrespectful.

Delivery person (Rano) was very polite and waited patiently for the door to be opened. The food was still nice and warm and tasted delicious again.

Placed an order online 2 days ago for Boxing Day. The order was delivered on time and tasted delicious! You can also take advantage of the free roll promotion despite the holiday. I will definitely order here again.

I order from here regularly because in this economy, their prices are really hard to beat. If you order from the website directly you get some good added food perks. The rolls are pretty substantial as well. Downside? Once you submit your payment it's in god's hands. You have no idea when your food will show up, and there is no way to know. I've never been in a situation where I've never gotten my food, but my wait times have varied from 1-2 hours. For the price, I really can't complain and it's a choice I am willing to make when I'm not in a rush.

My food was delivered 4 hours later and the reason was “due to holidays” (it's NOVEMBER!!!). We have been ordering every 2 months for years, but for the first time we have experienced delivery 4 hours later. We also tried to call after the first 3 hours but they were reachable outside. It would be nice if they had let us know that they were a little late. I had also indicated that 4 people would eat with me, but I still received 1 soy sauce and 2 wasabi less!

The order took over 3.5 hours to arrive. First called after 2 hours checking when it will arrive, and i was told that it is busy and it will take 15 more minutes since the delivery person just left, which is understandable. But after 1 hour it still didn’t arrive so I called again and they said it would take 25 minutes more. The restaurant doesn’t seem to know the status of its own delivery person and they don’t seem to be able to ensure that the delivery is on time, looking at previous reviews

I literally waited 2 and a half hours. on my crispy box and spring rolls. everything was freezing and filthy. the spring rolls looked like they had been baked yesterday. the crispy sushi was ice cold and looked dirty. Never again this tent for us. Bah. really a waste of our money. these people don't know what quality is. never again.

Every time I have ordered I have waited at least 40 minutes, for my order placed today there is an hour delay and I have already made 10 calls for information without any response.

They said they are open at midday, but when I called, the employee told me that they always come at 12:30 and then prepare the food. When I asked why did they put midday but the employees come at 12:30? The person said “it is what it is”Same like those prior reviews, the delivery (even via Thuisbezorgd) takes very late up to and hour. They also put up in Thuisbezorgd details that the earliest order will be delivered at 12:45. Which is impossible knowing the fact the employees come at 12:30. He (the person on the phone) didn’t even apologize.

Waiting longer than two hours for our food. Cannot get in touch with the restaurant (keeps being pushed away or the line is busy). Paid quite a bit for 0 service. This is not due to the delivery people who do their best, but to the management of the restaurant, which should be improved. Clear communication would already help.

Almost 2 hours delivery time. Never ever again. 2. Ball tent. If you pay €10.35 for sushimi, you get some pieces with pieces of lettuce. 3. I ordered for 35 euros and I should have received 2 free sushi rolls. Each €15 euros. I got exactly ZERO (0) for free. They didn't say anything about it. Be smarter than me and read the reviews in advance. Order something different because there is no way it will be delivered within 30 minutes.

not the best sushi but the restaurant is generous, they offer promotion for orders during weekdays. there was a very dark piece of salmon inside the fried roll. not salmon meat but just some left over from the salmon skin they put in there. it was not the best piece of salmon they used.

It is good sushi and I already ordered from them several times, but the delivery is below bad. I’m waiting for over 2 hours now, the app doesn’t give you a chance to check in with the carrier, the restaurant can only say it’s busy it is going to be there in 10 minutes. It’s still not here. What can be done in order for the customer not having to wait 2-3 hours for the delivery? What is the compensation in these cases? I still enjoy this restaurant’s food but I might look for a new one….

Food not delivered. Waited more than 90 minutes, called 3 times to say it would arrive in 5 minutes and if it wasn't there in 10 minutes you had to call again. So I did that and no more recordings were made. Do not order ball tent here

It would have been faster and better if I caught the fish by myself and gathered the other ingredients by myself and learned how to roll sushi properly and made it by myself than waiting for this „restaurant“ to deliver it. I don't think we will order again, it always takes too long, but tonight more than 3 hours and not cold anymore. So you wait 3 hours and then you can first put it in the freezer to chill it. I placed an order at 4:00 PM that the food should be there at 5:45 PM, it is now 7:00 PM and I still haven't received the food. I have also called 129 times as shown in the photo and keep clicking away and not answering.

I order here regularly, but with every order I can taste that the sushi has been prepared with care. The quality and freshness of the sushi is truly top notch. My compliments! I would also like to thank the delivery person(s) for the fast and friendly service every time. Aras, thank you so much!

Been waiting for two hours!!!! Half an hour ago she told me on the phone that the delivery person would leave immediately! Previous order took over 1.5 hours. This was my last order.

Normally I don't do this, but wow, what a weird and bizarre store this is, and especially their service. Order received on time, but then I saw the food inside. As I have seen other people say; you get a rice ball for 3 pieces of sushi, with a slice of tuna (nigiri). I ordered 4 because that is not too much in a normal store, but now I am almost full. The rest of the sushi is made with the same thick, greasy sticky rice. Apart from that, I don't order my food spicy, I add it myself with the wasabi that I get with it. After 2 bites of sushi, my eyes are sweating and my mouth is on fire, after which I called them with the comment: I think something went wrong, because I ordered normal tuna sushi and not spicy. Then the gentleman told me that the powder was not spicy and that this was normal... then I asked who was calling and who it was about. You hear the sighs and groans on the other end of the line, which do not disguise the 'sincere' high tones in the voices on the line, because you just know that you are not the first that evening, but they don't care either. when you see the comments.

We always order delivery and the sushi is good, but recently the deliveries have been horrible. The first time this happened it was during Valentine’s Day and we had pre booked the dinner in advanced. The delivery took 2 hours but we shook it off saying that it was because it was Valentine’s Day. The next time and similar thing happened. And this time we ordered the sushi and after more than 2 hours the sushi still hasn’t arrived. We called twice. The first time after 1 hour asking where it was, the answer was 15 minutes away. The second time, we asked and informed them how this was unacceptable, the answer was that it was 5 minutes away and that they were sorry. Currently 15 minutes have passed, 2 hours and 20 minutes since we ordered was placed, and it is unacceptable. If the delivery will take this long then they must state somewhere in the website how long it will take. This is just unacceptable!! We are not sure if we will ever order there again.

Always too late, sushi is soggy with a lot of rice. Waited 2 hours for the food. When asked for a solution, they say that they are on their way and that there is nothing else they can do. Ridiculous customer service!! This isn't the first time they've been late and haven't come up with a valid reason or solution. The fact that it is busy does not mean that the customer has to wait 2 hours.

Tasty, beautifully packaged. I've been ordering from here for years and never had any problems. Always delivered neatly and on time, again today. Very friendly and helpful delivery person Amaz. Also very friendly and understanding on the phone during my specifics.
