Tasty sushi for a great price!! I was shocked by the negative reviews, but I loved it. The delivery person was also quick and within 30 minutes :)

I am gonna be sincere, I am giving 5 stars because it is one of my favourite sushi places but you need to know some tips. Sometimes it is perfect and beyond, sometimes is not as good (specially with delivery, that things come broken or very cold) but I keep coming because the fried special chicken roll is heaven🩶 I order it everytime I have a bad day and I need some comfort, I order it when I want to celebrate something or when my period and cramps are eating me alive, I ordered when my mom came to visit the Hague for first time from Mexico, she also loved it. Mr.Sushi has help me survive more depressive episodes than the escitalopram. Experience had taught me that delivery will take one or two hours even when is four blocks from my home so I order pick up instead, and I still do it a minimum of 45 minutes before the time I am actually picking it up, they are busy so I give them time to prepare it. It is a small kitchen team, they never stop working and you can see how they try to do their best. Last time I complaint about undercooked edamame and now they double check it to ensure they are good, people is nice.

Ordered here once and since then basically nowhere else. Received great service today from Gabriel, what a great guy :) the sushi was once again incredibly delicious, fresh with good rice and wonderful toppings ✨

Scam. I ordered the ebi tempura roll twice and there is practically no shrimp in it, just batter. I opened all the pieces and some were just batter and some had 1/10th of a shrimp inside. Do not order here!

Been waiting for over 3 hours now, and no one's answering the phone. I wish I'd read the Google reviews before ordering through Uber.

On February 14, 2026, I placed an order at 9:11 PM, but the food didn't arrive. I called, but no one answered. At 12:30 AM, a delivery driver rang the doorbell. I asked for a refund, and the owner said I'd receive it on February 18, 2026. When I called around that time, the employee told me the owner and his wife were on vacation. I didn't receive my refund until today, seven days later. I wouldn't recommend ordering from here again.

We ordered sushi via the website, correctly entered our postal code, and selected "pickup." The app asked us twice for our address/postal code, which we did. We also selected "near our branch." Then we were able to choose our menu and pay. When we went to pick it up, it turned out the app had selected the main restaurant, which was 200 km from our ferry. We didn't receive any sushi; it wasn't possible to cancel, and we spent 50 euros without food and left home hungry. We called customer service and were told they couldn't help us. It's outrageous that this is possible, and the app doesn't work and nothing is being done about it. I advise against ordering from them online, otherwise you could experience the same situation. I find it ridiculous that such a large company has such a poor system, and that no customer service is provided.

Too bad I didn't check the reviews before ordering. It's outrageous how long you have to wait for your food. Unreachable by phone. I waited almost two hours after it was delivered. The food had gotten cold. First and last time. That home delivery app is also rubbish, supposedly 4.6 stars, just a nose.

The worst place ever. Ordered sushi's at 20:00. Didn't get my order and they closed the restaurant. Amazing. What if everyone would work like that. This place should be closed at all.

I placed an order after an hour and a half, but I still called to ask where it was. I kept trying to get through, but nobody spoke to me. Finally, they closed without me receiving my order. And my money is gone! What terrible service!

I ordered here tonight at 5:30. The three of us ordered for €92. Only a small portion of the order arrived; one person's food was missing. After contacting them, they only told us they were very busy and that it could take up to an hour for it to arrive. After an hour, the order still hadn't arrived, and after calling again, the operator told us they were very busy and that we should just add a note to the order about the number of people so they could plan accordingly... as if that should make a difference in whether you get your complete order!? It's ridiculous that after three hours, you still haven't received any food. When the delivery driver finally brought the food, it was supposed to be hot and cold! We sent it back and asked for a refund. Now we just hope they know how to issue refunds. Truly disgraceful service; maybe they should hire more professional staff! DO NOT ORDER HERE!

Ordered food through Uber Eats at 6:20 PM. The food was supposed to be delivered between 6:40 PM and 7:00 PM. Still not delivered by 8:46 PM. No one answered the phone. A crappy company with crappy service. Don't order from here!

Food is ok, but the delivery times are biblical. It can take more than 2 hours and when called, they always say that 'the courier is on the way'. I find it unlikely that the courier can be on their way for 30+ mins when I live less than 1 km away...

Terrible order. I'd never really had anything to complain about before. Now I ordered for delivery by 5:30 PM. And at 6:00 PM, I thought I'd call, and a super grumpy woman answered the phone. "Yeah, it's on its way." It finally arrived 10 minutes late. Our hot dishes were cold, the sushi order was completely wrong, and they forgot to bring drinks. So you call to say something and are told, "Yeah, it's busy." And you have to figure it out yourself. Then I was on hold for four minutes before they realized something was wrong. What a nightmare today.

Definitely my go-to sushi choice. Fresh, fast, great presentation, and friendly staff. Excellent!

I've been ordering my sushi from Mr. Sushi Den Haag for years. The fish is always fresh, the rice is flavorful, and the rolls are tightly rolled. The inside-out specials are truly delicious, especially the soft-shell spicy tuna.

The sushi here is fantastic! Definitely recommended!

Our go-to sushi spot! The flamed lovers box is our favorite. The sushi is always deliciously fresh. The delivery service is also excellent. The driver is even at our door before the requested time. Perfect!

I ordered food here via the website and was told the wait would be an hour. After an hour and a half, I called to ask where it was. A rude woman answered the phone and said, "Yes, it's probably on its way, it might take longer." After three hours, it still hadn't arrived. I tried calling again, but they were closed and couldn't get anyone on the phone. I still have to wait and see if I'll get my money back...

wasn’t expecting the sushi to be THAT GOOD! we took the crispy option with 4 types of crispy sushi. had chicken, salmon, crab and a veggie one. it was awesome!!!

We've ordered here a dozen times. It's mediocre but edible sushi. The deep fried sushi from their menu is our guilty pleasure. Delivery has never been on time and always takes at least 40 minutes. The longest it ever took for us was 90 minutes. We deal with the mediocre food and poor delivery because it's so cheap, especially with the code 'freeroll' that they have had active for years now. Combine that with other sales or their email coupons and the price is just unbeatable: we just had 56 pieces of sushi + 10 spring rolls delivered for 34 EUR.

This time, I didn't agree to a subsequent delivery (which takes a very long time) or a discount code (which I didn't receive last time either). Giving a refund seems complicated. So you buy something, pay for it, don't receive it, and then you're politely thanked. DO NOT ORDER HERE!

Never had a problem with it until today. My drink was forgotten, no problem, but I waited a total of 3 hours for them to bring my drink. And I was on the phone 3 times, yes, we'll be right there. It's nice that 2 drinks are delivered after 3 hours, but it's bizarre how long you wait. I was a regular customer, but this is the last time.

Today I accidentally ordered to my old address so I immediately called to tell them that it had to be delivered to a different address and that was possible. After waiting for 1:30, I called anyway and they simply didn't record the order and therefore didn't receive it at all.

Just pick it up yourself. Then it's pretty fast and tasty.

Do not order here! Lousy service. I ordered food here 3 weeks ago and it was supposed to be delivered within 1 hour. After this hour I tried to contact them, it took three quarters of an hour before I finally got someone on the line. I then cancelled the food because I would not be home when it was delivered. I was assured that my order would be cancelled. A few days later I had to contact them again because I had not received any message that my order had been cancelled. What happened? My order had never been cancelled, so I was told again that my order had been cancelled and it was stated that the owner had been informed about this and that I would get my money back within a few days. However, to date I have not received my money back. Do not order here, not only lousy service, food is delivered after hours and if you cancel because of the very bad service, you also do not get your money back.

The sushi was fresh and tasted good. Quick delivery and good value. The presentation could perhaps be worked on for the sushi rolls but that's all!

Ordered sushi with an expected waiting time of 40 minutes, after half an hour there was still a 30 minute wait. I called to see if it would help if we picked up the order, the gentleman on the phone (who seemed completely unprofessional) said he would send it on its way immediately. We have been waiting for an hour and a half now and still have no sushi. Even when we try to call, the line is always busy or there is no answer. Terrible service.

I would absolutely not recommend staying with Mr. Eating sushi on the Laan van Meerdervoort in The Hague. The service was terrible and the food was absolutely inedible. I ordered through Thuisbezorgd and waited over an hour, only to receive the worst food ever. It was so bad that I immediately vomited and had severe stomach pain. I only tasted a little and ate a little bit, but that was enough to make me sick and completely disgusted. It is really incomprehensible that you pay so much money and then get such poor quality of food and service. I am really disappointed and would like my money back. Truly a terrible experience!

Holy shit, this was gross. Completely dried out sashimi and ginger like bamboo. I hope I don't get food poisoning. I'm surprised that there are any concerns at all, when I read the other reviews.

SERVICE IS CRAZY BAD! I have been ordering here for a long time without any problems. Until you run into problems and experience bizarrely poor service. Food ordered was delivered 45 minutes after the delivery time, so we had to wait more than 2 hours. Then it turned out that of the 105 euro order, 62 euros worth of food was missing! Called and was supposed to send it again, but this did not happen. Called again an hour later. Same talk but again no food after 30 minutes. Called again, I was simply thrown out. Ended up calling 6 times to get a hold of someone. Was coming again and was on its way. After more than 2 hours of waiting, the missing items have not yet been received. Eventually I got someone on the phone who indicated that the lady on the phone had simply gone home and that the food was not being remade at all and would be coming again. When I indicated that I wanted my money back, it was difficult. After 2.5 hours of hassle I was supposed to get my money back, but I could not get confirmation. It would be in my account within 3 days. Finally, 3 days later I received a call asking if they could make me happy with a discount code. Well no! I will never use this bad place again! Ultimately I would get my money within 3 days, again… You guessed it, a week later and nothing has arrived yet! Just called again but the lady would send another email. Of course still no money back. This service is really deeply and deeply sad! You're just being ripped off. Didn't receive 62 euros and simply won't refund the money

Ordered food for 60 euros, waited an hour for food, a delivery person without food, then waited another hour and a half for a new delivery person, only to receive no sauce or chopsticks. I love those 2 fantas, but not again for me

Super tasty sushi, certainly one of the better in The Hague. Order here almost weekly and it remains top notch. Fresh sushi, good flavors and fast delivery. Recommended!

Excellent sushi 🍣, and it took exactly an hour between ordering and delivery. 4 stars instead of 5 because the avocado maki had already fallen apart upon arrival, and there was only 1 container of soy sauce and 1 container of wasabi, which was not enough for the order. But otherwise very satisfied, and I will order here more often.

Very tasty food delivered very quickly

Ordered for a large amount. For 4 people there was 1 small bowl of wasabi (while at other restaurants you get a few). Called, they claimed they were out of wasabi, not enough. Only 1 small container and I had already received that. The sushi was also very loosely rolled and kept falling apart, for all of us. Good taste. Delivery on time and friendly.

Imagine a Sushi restaurant that doesn't have WASABIIII.

Fantastic experience! We ordered sushi here and I am very satisfied. The sushi itself was wonderfully fresh and full of flavor. Delivery was on time, which is definitely a plus. The presentation was also neat and attractive, which made the whole experience even better. Definitely recommended for anyone who likes good sushi!

Ordered sushi via home delivery, it has been waiting for an hour and it still hasn't arrived. I think the sushi comes from Japan. The last time I order here I really don't recommend it.

Service was dramatic. After a long wait I called to find out where the sushi was. A woman answered who immediately answered in an unprofessional manner. Eventually she told us that the order was ready, so we offered to pick up the order since she couldn't tell us how long it would take. When we arrived the sushi was still not ready. All in all we had to wait 2 hours for 4 rolls of sushi!

Scammers. More than two hours after the delivery deadline, still nothing. I don't know what's going wrong there, but I would advise everyone not to eat/order here. Unreachable by phone, probably hung up because they know what they are doing.

I don't recommend it, we ordered sushi with delivery, the waiting time was about an hour (the delivery person was supposed to arrive at 9:30 p.m.) and there was silence, we called, there was no signal, we wanted to go there, but the place closed at 10 p.m. and there was no food or money back!

Ordered and had to wait 1 hour and 45 minutes. I called after 1 hour and it still had to be fixed. The salmon and tuna roll were o.k. the duck and special salmon roll were inedible. Duck was just like eating tendon. Everything was crammed together in one box.

What a terrible tent this is. Placed an order on a MONDAY EVENING (not a weekend) at 6:00 PM. I called at 7:00 PM and the phone was off the phone for half an hour. Finally able to reach them at 7:30 PM. It was said that it had just been finished and that they would deliver it. An hour later, still no food... from 8:00 PM the phone was off again and they could not be reached again. Only after 2.5 hours did we receive an email that it was on its way. What a ***** tent. Do not order here!!!!

My family and I ordered dinner tonight from Mr. Sushi in Den Haag as we have quite frequently and it’s always been fine. Tonight when we received our order, I immediately noticed that the Tuna Sashimi was an iridescent metallic green/grey/purple color, which I’ve seen before, indicating that the fish may have been past its prime. It turned out the fish used in the Tuna Rolls was in the same condition. Not a problem, it happens, I thought, when dealing with raw fish. But the reason I’m leaving this review is how I was treated when I called to report the problem. I politely told the person on the phone that I had just received an order and that our tuna was noticeably not fresh. Without addressing me, she spoke to someone off the phone and returned to say, “No, it’s fresh, the chef says he cuts it every day.” Again, I responded that I was looking at it and it had a green metallic finish on every piece. She replied “It’s the skin.” (It wasn’t…. Picture attached.) She told me she couldn’t do anything for me without the owner being present and that I should call back later, or better, leave my number and that they’d call me back. After I gave my number, she abruptly hung up on me. I won’t be holding my breath for that call back. The thing is, customer service like that isn’t acceptable. I wasn’t really looking to make them bring me anything else, but just an “I’m sorry about that, sir” probably would have saved my family and I as future customers. That said, any recommendations for good sushi places in Den Haag, anyone?

Hele mooie kwaliteit. Goede vis tot rijst ratio (veel dikke vis) Instructies opgevolgd. Wilde geen California roll in mijn salmon lover box en ze hadden het netjes opgevolgd. Gratis sojabonen en een ebi tempura roll gekregen. Was echt een verrassing op zowel kwaliteit als service!! Will order again!

De Sushi smaakt erg lekker vooral de gefrituurde sushi, tegenwoordig bestellen wij via de app van mr sushi zodat je punten kunt sparen en bij besteding van boven de 25 euro krijgt je een gratis rol, dat vind ik een mooi gebaar. Over het algemeen snel geleverd, in het weekend wil het nog wel eens langer duren.
