Great little pub/bar in the Amsterdam West area with the friendliest staff!

A really nice place, delicious snacks and food, friendly staff. A cafe where you feel welcome.

A very bad experience. We normally come here regularly, but this was definitely the last time. There were only four tables occupied, and yet the waiter was mostly chatting with the other bartender. We raised our hands several times, but he pretended not to see us. At one point, we went to the bar ourselves to order; he said he'd be "right back," but he never did. We ended up waiting an hour and a half for one drink. We left without a drink. It's a shame for the owner, because with such poor service, you're driving away regular customers.

Great place, really good cocktails and wines. But there's still something to be said about those nachos. Maybe you should try some Tex-Mex cheese? They make it into a kind of flat affair, and if you sit outside, you can play frisbee with it after 10 minutes.

It was a wonderful time. We recently had a Klaverjas tournament. It was really fun, and it's great that they involve the neighborhood so much.

My favorite bar in the West for years. Super friendly service, delicious food, and always a cozy atmosphere!

Great Terrace and Solid Food on a Quiet Canal I live nearby and find myself at Hendrix often, mostly for its excellent terrace. It gets great sunshine and is a perfect spot to enjoy a drink on the canal without the usual city chaos. The food is decent, with a menu that offers some unique and tasty options beyond standard bar fare. Their Koren fried chicken is very good too! Safe some space for that! They also have a good selection of beers. It's a reliable choice in a non-touristy part of town, which is a huge plus. It's a place I'm always happy to come back to and would definitely recommend.

Love this bar! Food and snacks are delicious specially the fried korean chicken wings, coffee is bit cold for my taste that’s why I don’t give 5 stars, the fries were a but too thin, but again this is just how I like them. Cocktails are fantastic 😍

Super fun spot in the always cozy Oud West. Very pleasant and low profile vibe and ditto service. After a day in A’dam we almost always end up at Hendrix for a delicious Korean chicken burger and a Rendang. On to the next visit!

Very nice food. We went there during lunch time in a Saturday. I ordered the broodje chicken avo, it was delicious. My friend ordered broodje rendang, which he said it was very good also. And I had a French Viognier, white wine very good. It would be good the wine to be a bit colder because we went in a warm day but it’s fine. Super recommend the place.

I ended up ordering coffee and pastries at the bar myself, because the service only had eyes for the guests on the terrace. Then other guests come and tell me that they had reserved the table I was sitting at. Strange that there was no sign on the table and that the waiter did not politely ask me to take a seat elsewhere and apologize. In the end I went back to the bar to pay, where at first it seemed as if I was air. Actually, I should have walked away without paying. Once but never again!

One of my go to bars in Amsterdam Oud-West. Make sure to make a reservation as it gets quite busy in the evening, they serve good finger food and drinks. Prices are moderate.

Nice tent where reservations are a must. Only/mainly local people come here. A nice nice atmosphere and good atmosphere. The burger tasted good, the portion was on the small side. Price and quality reasonable; will undoubtedly have to do with the location. We sat there with friends - 4 people. The service was sometimes a bit slow or orders were not delivered properly. A barely audible excuse was a response. So just state very clearly what you want (and have them repeat it). All in all a fun evening with more than enough scores on everything.

Variety of beers, between 3.5 and 6 euros. They have several things to eat such as portions. Being a little slow in the kitchen, in the end we did not order the missing dish again, they forgot about it.

Drinks and food are okay-ish. Staff just always seems a bit chaotic and unattentive. Forgets stuff. Doesn’t see you when trying to catch their attention, etc.

I discovered it by chance. I needed to go to the bathroom and I hadn't had dinner yet. The kitchen closes at 10pm, so I got in at 9:40pm. Two beautiful beers (out of 8 possible), accompanied two good dishes: Falafel bowl and a Korean fried chicken burger. Good music, good atmosphere. I liked.

Freundliches Lokal mit einer guten Auswahl an Bieren und hervorragenden Speisen. Ausgezeichnet sind vor allem die Burger und die frisch zubereiteten Pommes. Eine echte Empfehlung in Amsterdam, wo man oft sehr schnell in einer Touristenfalle landet.

De los mejores sitios en Amsterdam. Salimos a cenar y había muy bien ambiente. Ponían música y la gente suele ir a tomar copas después de cenar. Nosotros tomamos el pollo koreano, las batatas fritas, nachos y poffertjes. La relación calidad precio es buenísima. Lo recomendamos para ir a cenar.

Zondag lunch geweest. Ik had de Korean chicken bun met de zoete aardappel friet. Beiden waren goed op smaak! Mijn vriendin had de spicy soep, die ik stiekem ook even geproefd heb. Ook die was heerlijk! Zeker een aanrader!

Visitamos este bar del vecindario un par de veces durante nuestra visita de una semana a Ámsterdam. En ambas ocasiones, pudimos sentarnos afuera para disfrutar del canal cercano y observar a la gente en la concurrida calle. Quizás magnificada por el cansancio de nuestros pies después de un largo día de turismo, la helada margarita fue una de las mejores que he probado, a pesar de su precio de 10 euros. Por el mérito de la margarita, volvimos a cenar y compartimos un estofado de carne de res cocido a fuego lento inusual servido sobre un plato de papas fritas y un plato de nachos. El guiso estaba delicioso. Al principio me gustaron las papas fritas, pero se empaparon debajo del estofado y como resultado se volvieron menos atractivas. Los nachos eran abundantes pero muy salados, y a pesar de pedir "sin frijoles", encontré algunos dispersos por todo el plato, lo que me desanimó (tal es mi disgusto por las legumbres) y me hizo preguntarme si alguien en la cocina los había elegido. un plato prefabricado. Sin embargo, la comida era abundante y sabrosa, no muy diferente del amable barman.

Voor een (borrel-)hapje of drankje moet je hier zijn. Goede cocktails, lekkere hapjes en een ongedwongen sfeer. Ook hebben zij hier een heerlijk terras. Een goed middagje of avondje borrelen.
