Very good sushi - and great plates

We had a wonderful meal tonight. Excellent service. We ate so well that we went for two evenings. See you next year and maybe even sooner.

Very nice place to have a nice meal or drink.

We ordered the sharing menu, and it was delicious. The service (both the chef and his wife) was very friendly, and everything was explained very well. If you enjoy Asian cuisine, you shouldn't miss this. We'll definitely be back.

Very tasty sushi sharing plates including other Asian specialties and sides. I also liked the creative chai cocktail, that was something new to me. Very friendly staff and a great location on a boat in the middle of Dokkum with views of the windmills. Highly recommended, we had a great evening.

Small disclaimer. I don't like sushi, my wife does. So every year around her birthday I have a sushi experience. Doesn't make me happy, but my wife does. This year at Hip in Dokkum. Now I love Dokkum so the location is well known to me. The atmosphere in the boat was friendly, cozy and quiet. The service was great and the chef fantastic. Those nice people who give you a lot of credit. The food was fantastic. So many fun flavors and textures. Great. I even really liked the sushi, and that's saying something. The dessert (the tasting) was also a real treat. In summary, great. We come here often.

Iedere keer is het hier een feestje om te eten. In de zomer is het genieten op het dakterras. In de winter is het heerlijk vertoeven in het warme en gezellige restaurant. De gerechten zijn stuk voor stuk verrukkelijk. En de kok en gastvrouw zijn geweldig gepassioneerd.

Our boat was literally opposite this restaurant boat. We placed a pick-up order via the internet. This was very easy. A big plus is that you can continue to monitor the status of your order. But the most important thing is that the sushi was really delicious. People will definitely see us here again on their next visit to Dokkum!

Delicious sushi and friendly service. I find the decor a bit bare and lacking in atmosphere. Although beautifully situated with a view of the mill, I do not associate sushi with a houseboat. It gives more pancake vibes.

I ordered two 4-piece portions of sushi (6.95E/portion). The food was very good, no complaints at all. My issue was the portion size. The pieces were about half the size of those served at Minato (Leeuwarden) for which they charge 4.95E. I thought the packet only had one serving rather than the two I had (pre)paid. Nice setting, very pleasant staff.

High quality freshly rolled sushi with a nice terrace on the boat with a view of the water and the mill. The service is very friendly. The sushi was of good quality, but the portions were not very large. You can also sit inside the boat and blankets are also available for the terrace. You can also pay here with American Express credit card.

What a wonderful evening we had here last night! You will receive a very friendly welcome. You immediately feel that you are welcome. The service is top notch, including the chef. What nice people. The food was super tasty. Tip: take the surprise menu. So highly recommended and we will definitely come back to sit on the deck when the weather improves.

As a sushi lover I can say that the sushi here in Dokkum is absolutely fantastic! But also the super tender meat, delicious prawns, everything is equally tasty. The chef's passion can be tasted.

During the wine and food walk with the four of us, we ended up here for a dish and dessert. Delicious food, really fresh and especially the dessert, the coffee mochi, which is simply a star-worthy dish. It's a shame that we have to drive 2 hours to get there, otherwise we would come often. Our friends have already booked for April, they live not far from here. Super food and very hospitable people, who cook and serve with a lot of love and who made us very happy. A really great restaurant 👍😊

An absolute taste experience with a great ambience on a boat. With great attention to detail, the boat was converted into a restaurant. The young chef is super nice and accommodating. He conjured up a frikandel with fries especially for our son, who among the four children didn't want to eat sushi. The sushi was some of the best sushi I have ever eaten. The individual components of the sushi rolls are fantastically coordinated and are beautifully arranged on slate plates. Absolutely okay in terms of price. I've eaten worse for more money. When we are back in Dokkum or on vacation in Landalpark Esonstad, we will definitely take a trip to the HIP boat. An absolute recommendation.

Nog nooit zo heerlijk gegeten, het was een feestje voor onze smaakpapillen, een echte aanrader, top Pascal en Ilse, jullie krijgen van ons 5 Michelin sterren, wij komen zeker nog een keer langs, tis een stukkie rijden maar dat hebben wij er dik voorover, groetjes Nel en Bert Koster uit Sint Pancras ( holland )

We kwamen hier per toeval en helemaal geen spijt van! Leuke bediening, goeie verhalen, warm welkom en echt overheerlijk eten!
