Hogon House in Wijk 00 Hilvarenbeek

It's supposedly open until 10 PM. My wife and I came in at 9:30 PM for a cocktail. We were told they wouldn't be providing service because there were no other guests. I hope they don't get paid until 10 PM.

For dinner, we chose the buffet. The Hogon House cocktail was tasteless; after complaining, we were given a measure of rum to top it up. The buffet, however, was limited and sparse, with soup and other dishes lukewarm. The scampi were overcooked, the fruit salad was not fresh and tasteless. The fish stew and pork tenderloin were okay, nothing more, nothing less. We ate quickly and returned, hoping not to be finished. Clearing the table was also slow. The staff only spoke English; one person spoke Dutch and constantly had to translate for their colleagues. They also didn't know what was on the menu (we'll ask a colleague). It was a disgrace. After the meal, you were looked out of the window; they were polite but not very friendly, and they like to close as quickly as possible. We also wanted to go there for breakfast, but unfortunately, it's not worth a second visit, and this time to the Safari Resort hotel!

We had a wonderful experience here! Everything was perfect! It was our son's birthday too, and he received (upon request) a lovely gift at breakfast and a handwritten card. So sweet!

For low season quite some things were solved (buffet not possible, small menu at reception possible). Friendly staff.

Nice restaurant, nice style. A lot of noise. If you opt for the all-in buffet formula, I give everyone one tip: fill yourself up, because if you want to eat/enjoy something quietly, you will be in trouble: everything will be gone. Dessert: finished. Fruit: finished. If you point this out to the staff, they will shrug their shoulders. That's a shame, because you're paying for…not getting anything.

Feeling like you're in Africa without the long flight. Not every cabin room on the park has the same view.. study it in advance or you might be disappointed. Further in the back = quieter = more animals

Excellent buffet breakfast with plenty of variety and choice. Fun for the children and the drinks are also well served. Definitely worth repeating.

Food really not good compared to years ago. Now everything is cheap, cold and salty. Really not worth the money

Breakfast at the safari hotel was good. Point.

What disgusting food. Everything was lukewarm and of poor quality, Little selection, Everything seemed ready-made. The snacks weren't either, the croquettes were wet and the nuggets were hard. but the service was good.

Mooie locatie. Receptie, bar, restaurant & zelfs de toiletten zijn zeer goed afgewerkt. Fijne plek voor o.a. ontbijt & 's avonds een drankje 🍻

Eten was lekker voldoende aanwezig vers bereid. Voldoende keuze en vriendelijk personeel.

In mooie sfeer kindvriendelijk culinaire kunnen genieten bij Nommos, even wat anders dan pizza, patat en snacks als diner in Beekse Bergen.

Wir haben hier gefrühstückt. Es war sehr lecker und der Service sehr freundlich. Nur die Getränke haben uns alle nicht geschmeckt.

Incredible views of the animals. Spent 2 nights here, 1 buffet, 1 was supposed to be fine dining but they will only serve indoors which kind of defeats the object of the restaurant, especially on a warm summer evening. So had 2 buffet and 2 breakfasts. Food is a bit meh. Same dishes both night and lots of processed food. Few okay dishes but lukewarm. Staff very friendly but not attentive and there was always lots of dirty tables not cleaned away. Maybe they were short staffed.

Gezellig om te zitten. Zeer vriendelijk personeel.

Le petit déjeuner de la Hogon House est juste une tuerie! Salade de fruit faite minute devant vous, pareil pour la cuisine des œufs et le jus d'orange! Personne ne vous presse, les lieux sont très propres et le personnel est à l'écoute, souriant! En terrasse, vous avez la vue sur les girafes, zèbres, rhinocéros et autres! Génial

Wow, het ziet er fantastisch uit. Wij hebben een slofje gegeten en een kop cappuccino gedronken. 'S avonds in restaurant gegeten. All Je kijk hier vanuit je hotelkamer naar de 'Big Five' in het park. In een woord: geweldig.

Het ziet er allemaal erg mooi uit. Heb hier tijdens mijn verblijf twee keer iets gegeten. Toen ik langs ging voor een borrel was het allemaal een beetje verwarrend hoe het werkte. Bestelling geplaatst bij de bar en wist daarna niet of ik het zelf moest ophalen of niet. Tweede keer gekomen voor het buffet ontbijt. Dit was boven verwachtingen. Verwachte een beetje matig buffet maar was erg lekker als je de juiste dingen uitkoos. Zou zeker nog een keer terug komen.

Leuk nieuw hotel restaurant met uitzicht op de dieren. We hebben er geluncht. De bestelling via QR code verliep goed en vlot. We hadden thaise soep gekozen, in de veronderstelling iets met kokosmelk en groene curry te krijgen, maar het was tomatensoep. Verder wel lekker en goed gevuld.

Heerlijk eten, goede bediening. Nog even de puntjes op de i zetten qua aanvullen gerechten buffet. Maar na een paar maanden al een dikke 9/10

Ons eerste bezoek was erg aangenaam. Wij zijn erg prettig geholpen bij aankomst. De receptie stond ons fijn te woord en zijn goed geholpen. Persoonlijk contact is altijd prettig.

We hebben hier ontbijtbuffet en dinerbuffet gehad. Hier was niets op aan te merken. Tafels waren beide keren niet goed schoon toen wij gingen zitten.

Great place to have drinks. The breakfast selection is awesome.

Views of the animals while having a good variety buffet for breakfast. Experience is emasculate. Definitely coming back.
