Horeca Exploitatiemaatschappij Rojahar in Keizer Karelpark

I ordered a flat white and they gave me a cafe au lait, when I mentioned it the old woman behind the counter said this is a flat white and if I wanted it stronger I had to order an extra shot of espresso. Not very customer friendly if you ask me.

They close at 16.30 while the department store it is located in closes at 7. I see customers being turned away the whole time. Unfriendly staff and poor service. They changed their coffee from quality Illy beans to meh Nespresso cups. If I wanted to drink that I could've just stayed home. Good pastries though. I think I'll skip this place for a while in favour of all the other options nearby.

This morning I had "Christmas coffee" with about 35 fellow athletes, and we were given delicious Christmas bread by the café owner, Edgar. Fantastic! What great service.

A very lovely café inside the library — a perfect spot for a break while walking around Stadshart. The food is generally enjoyable, and I especially love their scones and the caprese sandwich on focaccia. The coffee, however, could be improved. The milk texture in the latte is often not quite right, and combined with a rather dark-roasted espresso, it results in a drink that lacks balance. I hope to see some improvements in the future, so we won’t have to travel far for a truly good cup of coffee.
