Spacious location for eating and drinking

Edit: the message from the staff/owner proves my point of how rude and appalling they are. Lying to try and defend themselves then they even called my work place and messaged my employer to get my contact info - harassment I would say. Our drinks were already paid for before we left, since we had to pay soon as we ordered our drinks at the bar before sitting down funny enough. Please don’t make up things as no one was eating - that’s why the question was even asked to begin with and why we left. Your kitchen was closed and so I still don’t understand such a terrible way to act towards your customers that asked a simple question. Strange how this establishment is acting off of my review when their staff acted completely unprofessional and rude. I’ll be happy to see the next business succeed here when this one is gone ✌🏽 Btw it’s funny how after my 1 star review they loaded up more reviews with 5 stars in the same day from fake accounts after weeks at a time of barely any reviews. Clearly this owner/staff really has it in for his reviews and is triggered. Original review: Horrible service, rude staff, definitely never bringing my business here again and will tell everyone else I associate with as well. If a customer asks a question (if we can have food delivered to the bar since they weren’t serving food anymore) you can at least be polite about it instead of being completely standoffish and angry. Learn to treat customers who are actually bringing you business to an otherwise very empty establishment. If you’re in the area I highly recommend going to hotel Casa for any lunch, brunch, dinner, drinks you’ll want. The food and drinks are way better and they actually care about you as a customer and won’t act like they’re too good.

Super nice location, staff welcoming and friendly. Good dinner and drinks menu. You wouldn't expect it in a place like this in Amsterdam, but highly recommended.

Bit overpriced for a bar far out from center. Limited pub snacks, focuses on exotic dishes and full meals. Very trendy type place with benches and large open plan.

Food is just your regular bar food but i think what makes this place great is the large degree of board games that are available at this place. Events like amsterdice and blood on the clock tower (community run) happen every second week and def would recommend showing up for it since u get to play board games with other ppl who similarly enjoy them

Terrible acoustics, you can't hear each other while eating. Everyone's shouting at each other.

Very fun pub quiz event, well organized and executed. We just got drinks so I can't speak on the food. Drinks are very affordable for Amsterdam standards. Can definitely recommend!

We had a very nice drink with about 45 women at House of Watt, everything was taken care of down to the last detail, everyone was warmly welcomed, drinks and snacks were served at a pleasant pace, allowing everyone to catch up and enjoy each other. The location was very easily accessible by public transport, bicycle and car. Hiddem gem!

The place looks nice, but the prices are way too high. 7e for a kaas tosti and 4.5e for a cappuccino... I also felt the waitresses were extremely judgmental and non friendly. If you hate Horeca this much maybe just maybe look for another job.

A discovery near the hotel, you are served by a very pleasant and attentive staff. We really liked the space and enjoyed some beers and wine accompanying the pizza, salad and grilled vegetables. We liked it a lot!!!!!

Huge venue, we go here often to play the pub quizzes, good selection of drinks, and really delicious nachos and small plates.

I ate here and it wasn't great at all. Drinks were expensive. Service was also mediocre. It all takes a very long time and the employees are very aso. The worst part is the loud music until late at night. This business needs to close. Edit after owner's response: Strange that you find an excuse to dismiss my review because I call your employees aso. As if my opinion falls apart because I insult you. And it's not even a bad insult. I can think of some worse words. Besides, if you don't take my response seriously, why are you responding? It seems like you're taking it seriously.

Unfortunately not satisfied. I ordered a chai latte, but during checkout the payment didn't seem to go through their system, even though the amount had been debited from my bank. When I was already on my way home, someone came running after me to say that the payment had not gone through. I had to go back inside, and with everyone watching, I had to explain that I had already paid. In the end I had to pay again. Result: 9 euros for 1 cup of tea. Too bad, because I live nearby, but I think I'll go somewhere else from now on.

Downstairs in the room there is enough space for a private party for someone who turned 60. Space for live music, PowerPoint presentations and dancing.

We went here with a bigger group for an event. We honestly had a great time, especially with the variety of games they had to offer! Unfortunately we were faced with an employee who was continuously asking for us to buy drinks to the people who just had finished their previous drink, and if we would not order anything, she threatened to make us leave the establishment. I think this is a real shame because the place is lovely, but if faced with such an inattentive employee it really ruins the mood.

Very nice place. They have a nice menu and tasty steaks. Also it's suitable for a big company. They have a lot of space and they also have quizzes sometimes. The food was very tasty and they also had tasty mocktails and beer.

The place looks alright and the food is okay. However the staff is very unfriendly towards non-dutch speaking customers. It is very apparent that they have a very different attitude towards you if you don't speak Dutch and they come across much less welcoming in this case.

Overpriced burger of mediocre grade meat. Coffee is OK.

Well. It's great that there's a vegetarian burger. It's good too. But 50+ EURs for a two person lunch with a club sandwich, a vegetarian burger, two juices and a coffee... The food is not THAT good. The staff was kind though.

Siamo capitati in questo locale perché alloggiavamo in un hotel vicino e non sapevamo dove cenare. Il locale è molto carino, sia all'interno che all'esterno. Ci siamo buttati sulla pizza data la nostra curiosità da italiani. Non era per niente male, bravi! I camerieri sono stati gentili e cordiali. Anche il prezzo era accettabile rispetto ad altri locali in cui siamo stati.

Good food at HoW. Really good Beetroot burger ( which can often be so dull) and a great side Salad for €6!) 300g steak was good too. Reasonably priced wine list.

This place is a hidden gem near Amstel station. It is only 5 mins walking. It is a huge place. It is not only served as restaurant but they also have meetings rooms which makes it great place for office team events. Moreover they have separate halls for parties. This place is famous for kids party. Since it is huge place, kids can play inside with each other and it's fun. The staff is super Friendly. They also have tables outside which is great on a sunny day. Highly recommend this place.

Yes; pleasant! Not a small cozy pub, but just an adult place for a snack and a drink. Fast service, no errors on the receipt, WiFi, rooms for rent, etc. A real all-rounder! Nice marketing around events - always a pub quiz, stand up comedy or something else on the agenda. Thanks for the nice addition to the neighborhood!

Nice bar bar with high ceilings giving it a very roomy feel, but unfortunately possibly the worst fish and chips I've ever had in my life. Quite unfortunate as that was a big dampener on a pleasant evening! EDIT 19/6/24: I received excellent customer service after my first review, whereby management addressed my concerns in a very friendly and courteous manner, and have made improvements to address the fish and chips. While I'm not able to sample these improvements (I don't live closeby), I've updated the service and overall score to reflect the excellent attitude towards customer service and to improving their product.

Iam the neighbor. And come here so now and then. I wanted to ask some practical questions about big groups of 30 people since my bday was coming up. So i entered (music was on, not yet 19:00 either,door was not locked) but this waitress came with a passive aggressive angry attitude and started to shout (about the door being closed). This is a second time something like this happend. I think it is rude and also ill not come around anymore. There are much better places around. But maybe check on your staff

4,20€ for a tiny takeaway cappuccino with no lid on, while outside it was raining (so a watered cappuccino) and a very unfriendly stuff. I’m disappointed as I’ve been coming to HoW since it’s opened and I didn’t expect that from them. P.S. I explicitly asked for a lid and the response was “we hebben geen”. I am not fluent in Dutch but I do think this means we don’t have any. And I will come to pay.

This is a cool place. I came here for a comedy show which was great. The staff were lovely and it's got a nice vibe. Expensive drinks! It's not far from the train station.

Nice restaurant with cozy terrace! Fast, friendly service and delicious food! Free water and salt nibbles before eating is a nice detail! Environment is a bit boring, modern between the office buildings, a bit outside the city. This makes it easily accessible from the highway.

You will be warmly welcomed upon entering. What I also liked was that there was a reservation sign on the table with my name on it and welcome. The staff is really friendly and regularly comes to the table to ask if everything is OK or if we would like something to drink. I only have to look around when I need someone and immediately come face to face with an employee, super alert and friendly staff. The food is also very tasty. Not a large menu. Some really excellent food for everyone, it was great. I'll definitely come by again. Oh the atmosphere! It's really fantastic that I felt so at ease. Nicely decorated, clean nice ambiance

Booked dinner here before Comedy Embassy English comedy night. Really great dinner - I had tortellini and partner had chicken and chips. Delicious chips, great cocktails, nice selection of soft drinks. Apple pie for dessert - yum. Nice to have water presented without asking. They have board and card games, and books and magazines on shelves near tables, so we also had a game of De Crew which we're familiar with in English already.

We had a reception, where there was quite a crowd. Unfortunately, access was a little bit blocked by reserved tables.

Nice place for coffee (rum baba), a light snack or a meal. Also great spot to work for a few hours. Nice service in a modern and ample space.

A nice place to play boardgames.

Ordered an oat cappuccino for more than 4 euros. But I got one at 40 degrees Celsius, and with foam that had already weakened quite a bit. As if it had been cooling down on the bar for at least 5 to 10 minutes. I didn't say anything about it, but I won't be drinking coffee there again anytime soon.

On a Friday evening looking for somewhere to go we heard about House of Watt in Amsterdam, We were certainly not disappointed House of Watt ticked all of our boxes. The vibe was great, the food was good and the service excellent. A shout out to Boyd for looking after us, afterwards we went to the Comedy Embassy held in the House of Watt. I can certinly recommed for a Friday evening in Amsterdam. Thank you all for a great evening

Great divers location. Both for a meeting (several size rooms, perfect for break out sessions) as well as regular place for drinks and food. Very friendly staff and really value for money. 10/10 would go again.

Celebrated my birthday for 20+ guests at House of Watt and it was amazing! We had a reserved area only for ourselves, I could play my own music and the staff was great. Furthermore, the food and drinks were very good. I would definitely make more gatherings there and also recommend for all my friends!

How can you not say a word wrong and not make customers feel welcome? Very strange. Service and friendliness are not of paramount importance here. Being interrupted 5 times during 1 meeting. A super warm space. It's freezing outside, but inside you're wearing a shirt without sleeves. Very inconvenient location for coffee and tea. Delicious cookies. I visit a meeting location every week. This location is at the bottom!

Fast service: 5/5 Friendly service: 5/5 Tasty food: 4/5 Value for money: 4/5 Service was exceptionally good, I felt really well taken care of, which, in my experience, is not very common in Amsterdam. Holy ravioli (with mushroom) was delicious, and sweet potato fries were tasty as well, but I could not give 5/5 because of slightly dry red velvet cake. Top tip: The place has meeting rooms on the second floor, and it looks like a cool place for a team get-together.

Ik was wel wat teleurgesteld over de ceasarsalade met zalm, reepjes kaas smaakte naar niks en verder alleen saus en sla, heb zo vaak betere salade gehad. Ik was voornemens er wat van te zeggen tegen de bediening maar die stond ver van mij af, toe er gevraagd werd, was alles naar wens? Nee dus maar ja ik wilde ook verder de sfeer voor de gastheer niet bederven. Dus maar laten zitten. Zelf ga ik hier niet lunchen, heb betere adressen

Really great place to meet and socialize. Or to have a private party with friends or colleagues. Staff is friendly and working hard. Apparently a popular place since on Thursday evening it was busy. Absolutely recommended.

I really like the setup of the location, good atmosphere and spacious. Staff came several times to ask what we want to order which was great. Food was tasty and well presented.

Had a team event here for work. Everything was super well organized, the room was bright and had everything we needed including drinks in the fridge and coffee served by staff. Lunch was a simple soup, sandwich, salad and dessert, all of which was really tasty. I would come here again for a workshop, but also just to eat or for a day of remote working alone. Definitely recommend.

Food (the beef ‘smash’ burger) was decent, but didn’t blow my mind. For 19 euro’s, I’m sure you can come up with a more creative salad, better fries and in general a better burger. Unsure whether you’re smashing your patties at all (not that I care but if you advertise it as a smash burger, smash that thang)

젊음의 분위기와 데코, 인테리어가 맘에 들었으나, 먹을 음식(종류)이 부족했다.

Leuke tent. Mooie plek om kleinschalige bijeenkomsten te houden, hier al meerdere keren trainingen gehad met werk. De lunch was meer dan prima.

Decent Thursday afternoon place

Bij binnenkomst vriendelijk te woord gestaan. Ook de service was vrij vlot en vriendelijk. De opstelling is sfeervol. Sommige stoelen hadden iets comfortabeler mogen zijn voor een langere zit. We bestelden een Brisket Melt. Een lekker broodje en royaal belegd.

The conference hosted their official dinner, although it was more of a set of appetizers. Food was ok, but did not blow my mind. Atmosphere was similar to a typical American sports bar. All was good, but I'm not sure I'd go back on my own. No knock on the place, it's just not my cup of tea, and not something I'd search out if I was a tourist in Amsterdam. It's also kinda hard to find, and need to walk through a creep underpass from the train station.

Perfecte plaats voor borrel maar ook voor vergaderingen. Terras is big plus!

Poco fa, in arrivo dall'aeroporto, ci siamo fermati a cena in questo locale a due passi dal nostro albergo. Siamo arrivati verso le nove quando la cucina era già chiusa. Così ci siamo accontentati di un piatto di antipasti freddi assortiti, con stuzzichini vari, tra cui salumi italiani e formaggi olandesi, peperoni grigliati e olive verdi e nere. Poi dei bocconcini di pollo fritto indonesiani, gustosi, con una salsetta al miele. Da bere abbiamo preso una birra locale che ho trovato buona ma troppo cara anche per Amsterdam. Il locale è grande e spazioso; il servizio è stato ineccepibile, con un simpatico signore che continuava a profondersi in scuse per la repentina chiusura della cucina.

Went there for some drinks with friends. It is a nice place do sit and get a couple beers with friends. Didn’t try the food, but they have quite some variety of beer!

Op zich altijd tevreden behalve laatste keer. Je hebt voor ruim 120 euro gedronken, bitterballen ect en je bent van plan om met 4 man te blijven eten. Bestel je alvast een patatje met truffel en Parmesan ( goed te doen) en je vraagt een klein bakje extra parmesan aangezien het wat weinig was. Er moest aan de keuken gevraagd of het kon ????? He hoezo of het kan en de dame in kwestie komt terug met het antwoord " dat kan maar dat kost dan wel extra". Mijn broek zakte af, direct afgerekend en maar elders gegeten. Men vraagt wat zal het zijn 2 of 3 euro extra en loopt mis een extra 120-150 euro of meer aan omzet. Das goed zaken doen😏 en dat nog exclusief 2 of meerdere flessen wijn ook snel 80 euro of meer. Horeca het is en blijft een vak . De sterren zijn voor het patatje ( zonder de extra parmesan) bitterballen, bediening. Service ach laat maar

Met de familie heerlijk gegeten en gedronken. De ryan burger is echt een aanrader. Goed en vriendelijk personeel. De VENT maakt de tent. Tot de volgende keer.
