Creative delicious food. Finally NOT a burger with fries or avocado tosty. Also. A perfect cosy location as well.

I was here today for a wedding. The location is beautiful, but that's about it. Staff gossips about customers in front of them. My husband is disabled, and even then, you're not welcome. There's no accessible toilet. You have to go down a steep, narrow staircase without a handrail through a low, narrow hallway. Completely impassable, incomprehensible.

Best wedding location, thank you staff for the best day ever!

The service could have been 5 stars, except that the first order hadn't been shipped, so after fifteen minutes we asked for the cappuccino and apple pie again. The cappuccino was on the house; that's true. Then we had a delicious lunch in the atmospheric, sunny setting on the terrace at the back.

Quiet restaurant in Frankendael Park The food was excellent

There was a large wedding luncheon next door. The staff couldn't handle it: We had to wait an hour for the main course. Then we got the wrong one. So everything was returned, and nothing came for a long time. We had to ask for it ourselves. Then the wrong one again. No apology whatsoever. The third time around, it was fine. The main course consisted of a very greasy cream, lots of gravy, 4 bimi, and 5 bites of rice. Heartburn. Unfortunately. Such a beautiful location 😥

A very pleasant surprise, the dishes are refined. The setting is idyllic. We wanted to escape the crowds of the city center. It was perfect for our day in Amsterdam!

I found it very chaotic, but that might also be due to the wedding planner's less-than-ideal planning and communication. It's also strange that there were high chairs but no changing table for babies and toddlers.

We went there for lunch and service took soo long even though it was not busy. Took the three course meal and we were still hungry afterwards. The goat cheese dessert was really bad, should be removed from the menu.

I was there for a party. Personally, I don't think this is the Huize Frankendael it used to be. The exterior looked poorly maintained.

The best vegetarian restaurant in Amsterdam. Comfortable and cozy atmosphere. Food with technique and flavor, if you enjoy good food this is the place. The chef has years of experience and his creativity and discipline are reflected in the quality of the dishes. Walk through the park near the restaurant and enjoy tasty cuisine.

The most beautiful location of our lives 🥰 We got married at Huize Frankendael. The venue, the dinner, the tasting, the ceremony, the party in the carriage stable, and the entire day couldn't have been better. In short, everything was perfect!

I love this place. Posh from the outside, cosy and modern from the inside. It is located beautifully in the park and has a wonderful edible garden.

Excellent food, professional staff. Creative combinations of seasonal ingredients. It's not cheap but you get what you pay for. Wine selected for the different courses can be bought by the glass, or even the half glass. During warm days it's wonderful having lunch in the beautiful garden. They also serve coffee in the mornings and afternoons. They have only a small selection of cakes but they are very good. It's one of my favourite restaurants in Amsterdam. I wrote the above 8 years ago. I'm still a fan!

Nice location. However, the service is very inattentive. We waited 20 minutes, the service had no overview of the tables and the order of entry. Direct debit card payments were not allowed, only at the end. The coffee and pastries are priced very Amsterdam-style, so pricey.

Absolutely amazing, chose the place for the location, stayed for the food. The cauliflower soup was too die for and the rosti was delicious

The wedding was awesome, location beautiful and intimate. Service was pretty good and the staff was kind and available. Had a great time. Beautiful dutch spot.

We had a delicious meal. I didn't know vegetarian could be so tasty. Cheerful and friendly service in a beautiful garden. I'll definitely be back.

Nice garden. The cannelloni were delicious! And also great for lunch: filling but not too heavy for a summer day.

This restaurant deserves 5 stars. The (vegetarian) food was prepared with care, beautifully served and delicious. Very friendly staff and lunch in the garden here is divine. Living like a god in France, that's the feeling you get in this garden.

Super friendly team, I had humus with kinoa and it was really great in company with a nice white wine on a hot summer afternoon. The garden is amazing, fresh and relaxing. Totally recommend. Will be back whenever I am at Oost:) thanks!

The food is delicious! I think all the items on the menu were vegetarian. The staff was attentive and the service was good. It is possible to sit outside in the garden

Ordered 2 different fish dishes which came with the same sauce. This is taking shortcuts and not ok for dishes of 20+ euro each. Other than that: food is delicious and the service is ok. The garden in the back makes the place well worth the visit.

A colleague retired and we said goodbye here with drinks and snacks. No experience with food yet. What beautiful surroundings, I could definitely return here.

Fantastic food in a perfect setting.

Amazing restaurant! I’m not a fan of vegan food but this place proved me wrong. I ordered grilled polenta dish and it was absolutely delicious! They also have a nice wine selection, I had Grüner, that is not so easy to find in restaurants. Also the outside tables overlooking the park we’re just perfect.

Het personeel doet er alles aan om het je hier naar de zin te maken, maar zelfs zonder die prima service is dit al een heerlijke plek om wat dan ook te vieren,doen of consumeren.

Duurde allemaal wel erg lang voor een kop koffie en een gebakje. Die waren overigens prima.

Delicious vegetarian restaurant! The food was very good, different than the average vegetarian dishes in Amsterdam cafés. Cozy, cute, quiet, relaxed, great daytime restaurant to have food at a "restaurant" pace. We felt relaxed having our 2.5 course lunch (too full for dessert). Service was super friendly, and knew the menu well. Good wine selection and a lovely cat (Tom) that visits from a neighbor's. Dog friendly as well. They change the menu sort of quarterly I think, will go back soon to try more of current menu as well. 4 starts as didn't try wine pairing

Dit restaurant bevindt zich in een klassiek statig huis in Park Frankendael in de wijk Watergraafsmeer te Amsterdam. Het huis was ooit een buitenverblijf van een welgestelde familie. Tegenwoordig kunt u er o.a. iets gebruiken in de in Franse stijl aangelegde tuin. Voordat u besluit hier naartoe te gaan, raad ik u aan om eerst op de website de openingstijden te bekijken. In de winter is de tuin bijvoorbeeld niet open. Daarnaast wordt deze locatie vaak gebruikt voor bijvoorbeeld recepties, trouwerijen e.a besloten bijeenkomsten, wat betekent dat het café dan gesloten is voor publiek. Het nuttigen van een hapje of drankje kan gecombineerd worden met een wandeling in het park en het terrein van het nabijgelegen volkstuinpark 'Klein Dantzig'.

The greatest Chardonnay available in the east of Amsterdam! A great location too, so very esthetic. Unfortunately open until not very late (~6pm) and therefore it's unfortunately usually too early to enjoy this amazing wine.

Geen aandacht van bedrijfsleiding. Personeel doen hun best. Niets behoorlijk ,,BIJ,, de koffie , !!

Mooie wat kille plaats in de winter. Wel mooi oud kasteelachtig gebouw met bijzondere architectuur en zomers een mooie tuin ( Frankendael)

Teleurstellende kwaliteit van lunch, geen oplossing.

Bediening doet de zaak geen goed. Duurt lang voordat ze komen en zijn niet erg alert, helft van bestelling vergeten (appeltaart op tafel duurde bijna 20 min, en die wordt niet on-site gemaakt). Koffie en taart prima.

Beautiful outdoor patio with views of a large garden. Service is always professional and friendly and the staff goes out of their way to make sure your experience is a positive one. menu changes regularly so be prepared to try new things which wont leave you disappointed. The panzanella is fantastic and hopefully brought back in spring 2023 :)

Heel erg lekker gegeten ,echt hele speciale gerechten. Prijs zeer redelijk volgens mij. Zeker een aanrader.

What a fantastic spot for lunch! The location -- in an old 18th century house, in one of Amsterdam's most beautiful parks -- cannot be beat. We sat outside, and loved our view of the garden area (see photo). The cuisine is innovative and delicious, the servers are friendly and professional, and the setting is sublime, truly an oasis of peace and beauty. We live on the other side of the city, otherwise we would come more often. Wonderful and highly recommended!

Ik begin positief. Wij aten lunch hier. De smaken waren heerlijk. Echt heel erg lekker. Verwacht hier geen portie waar je vol van zit, want dan kom je bedrogen uit! Ik zie het als Nouvelle Cuisine! Toen we binnen kwamen werden we begroet en daar bleef het bij. Uiteindelijk zelf maar ergens gaan zitten! Bediening is vriendelijk maar duidelijk onervaren.

This garden terrace is MAGIC. I love the new menu and the team is friendly and fast. Hidden gem!

Lekkere ravioli gegeten. Gezellige ambiance, mooie locatie. Bediening is wel erg traag.

Hooguit 3 sterren. Beperkte kaart, rommelige bediening en stevig aan de prijs. Locatie is wel top.
