Get the €1 oyster deal on sunday, these oysters were delicious. The truffle fries were mid. They were a little greedy with the parmesan.

The service last night was beyond disappointing. We were completely ignored for the first 25 minutes. The fish for two people was one portion; it came on one plate and was priced at €46. The bread appetizer arrived at the same time as the main course. My daughter's cocktail 🍸 was good, though.

Nice little spot by the water where you can eat oysters for €1 each on Sunday. As a single person, I noticed that there were fewer checks than groups or couples. It's a shame. I had to wait a long time to order or pay.

Awful service. Waited for several minutes to even get a menu. We decided to leave before we got any service and no one from the staff cared about it in the slightest.

We had to wait a long time for the appetizer, and then another very long wait for the main course. The service was very friendly, which made up for it.

Very disappointing service! Even though the restaurant was almost empty, after a while, they asked from a distance if we wanted to order something! Then the waitress came without a menu and without any motivation. The cake was delicious but very small!!!! Given the location and the prices, you definitely expect more!

Spoke to a gentleman at the restaurant about a table for five. He constantly pretended not to understand me even though I repeatedly asked in Dutch if there was a table. If not, I'm leaving, simple as that. No need to argue about it. Very rude man. (The whole story is too long to type.) The other staff were very friendly, though. Eventually, they found us a table, which was very nice. We had a few snacks and drinks. Nice decor and a beautiful view, but personally, I wouldn't go back for the food and, of course, the gentleman who treated us rudely. Not inviting. Such a shame for the prime location!

The arrogance of the so called manager was off the charts. The cocktails are basically 2/3 ice but instead of taking any feedback he decided to educate me on the wonderful world of mixology…seriously?! Never again….

Last night we wanted to have a drink at Restaurant Next. Unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing. After waiting for 45 minutes, we were finally helped and could place our order. Then it took another 45 minutes for the drinks to arrive. As if that wasn't enough, the waiter came back 15 minutes later to tell us we had to pay and finish our drinks quickly. All in all, a terrible experience.

Highly recommended. This is a restaurant as it should be. Clear explanation. The hostess even came to check if everything was to our liking. All four of us found the soup to be delicious. The snitzel was also very good.

We received a very pleasant welcome at the restaurant and, after a morning full of bad luck, were given the table we so desperately wanted. Amazing place ! Great cocktails, one of the best in the city, made by bartender Jack! You can Watch and taste the passion in it! We love to come back there everytime we go to NDSM. Higly recommended 🍸🍹

We had the special menu during Sail. It was supposed to take two hours, but it ended up taking four. We had to wait a very long time for the food. The service was mediocre. We were unwelcoming and asked to wait until 8:30, which wasn't a welcome or a nice surprise. It was 8:25 PM... The price-quality ratio is subpar. I wouldn't recommend watching the fireworks at Sail.

This restaurant is a complete disgrace. The staff has no idea what they're doing and is extremely rude and unfriendly. Unfortunately, this applies not only to the young, disinterested, and incompetent staff, but also to the manager himself. The manager's arrogant attitude was cringeworthy. The "5-course luxury surprise experience" resulted in a series of annoyances and surprises. This is, unfortunately, the worst restaurant experience I've ever had as a forty-something. I gave the food one star, but despite waiting an hour and a half, I didn't even get a bite to eat. Completely worthless, and thanks for ruining our evening.

The whole experience was scandalously bad. We had booked the special Sail menu, which was supposed to start at 8:30 and end around 10:30 with dessert during the fireworks display. At 11:30, we left hungry, having barely finished the four-course dinner. They repeatedly stated that they would definitely accommodate the nut and gluten allergies of some of us, but even with the one and a half courses we did receive, they failed to do so. The binoculars provided for watching the fireworks only made it all the more disappointing.

Due to the SAIL evening cruise, we were short on time. Our waitress, Joyce, was excellent at anticipating this. The halibut and veal tenderloin were fantastic, with excellent sauces. We will definitely return when we have more time.

The Sail menu was beautifully advertised, but it was a huge disappointment. We waited almost an hour for our first drink, a bottle of wine and a bottle of tap water. After asking three times, we finally got our drinks. Then the food arrived, which took a long time, was bland, and cold. Then came the fireworks display, far away and difficult to see. Therefore, binoculars were placed on each table so we could still see the show. We had to ask several times if the food and drinks were okay. Then we were offered a cocktail, but when we finally got the chance to order, it turned out the cocktail bar was already closed. It's a beautiful restaurant in a lovely location, but unfortunately, it ends there.

My heavily pregnant (36 weeks) friend wasn't allowed to use the restroom during Sail and was referred to the neighbors. Terrible!

Eating out with my girlfriend, I first waited an hour and 15 minutes for our food. Then the wrong cheeseburger was brought, even though I was told, "That's the last one." I explained that it wasn't a big deal, but we had other plans so we couldn't wait all evening. Then they said they'd get the burger from somewhere else because they didn't have any left, and then that took another 30 minutes, 30 minutes. How does it take so long? A total of 1 hour and 45 minutes for the wrong burger and €70 worth of ribeye that you'd put in your tooth. Never again. Bad experience. 2/10, wouldn't recommend. Poorly organized.

Didn’t get a proper place despite reservation. Asked us to wait 1-2hrs for dinner. Ruined our date night.

Despite making a reservation and having paid a deposit for the same, the staff informed me on arrival that the food could take 1.5-2 hrs and that though the reservation was there, we weren’t allowed to sit inside because I had selected “à la carte” option - however, nowhere while making the reservation was it written that we would only be provided a table outside, beside the entrance where there was absolutely no calmness in sitting!! Horrible experience!

We had a reservation for dinner at 17.15. We were informed that dinner service starts at 17.30, so we ordered bites and drinks first (btw couliflower bites are really delicious). We've got ginger orange tea instead of ginger orange juice we ordered, but its was ok, cause we wanted order that pater again to the dinner. At 17.30 we recevied menu and ... Then nobody showed up for next 40 minutes at our table to take any order or at least ask about the drinks. It was very disappointing experience, especially that was our second time in this restaurant and we really enjoyed the food before. This time we left without the dinner. I'm not sure our waitress event noticed, because we paid at the counter.

We were greeted by incredibly nice staff who made the evening special. We had a delicious tasting menu with drink pairing, both with wine and very good cocktails. The area is up-and-coming so there aren't that many people here, but something the restaurant definitely deserves. All in all a perfect evening✨

10 out of 10 place. Me and my boyfriend came last Sunday for the oyster deal of 1€ for oyster and we ended up buying 33 oysters, french fries and three drinks. Spending 60 euro. Oyster were fresh and nicely garnished and served. The service was great and efficient, the staff was very nice as the environment, elegant and bright. There was a live dj and the bar attenders were very expert and made as great cocktails. We thank you for the experience and we’ll be back very soon to try more form the menu!

Great atmosphere and delicious cocktails. If you’re looking for a bar, this is a great spot - 5 stars. Hooowever, we had made dinner reservations in the restaurant area and felt a bit scammed. The food took a very long time. Tiny portions of mid-quality food for way too much money. Skip the restaurant side and stick to drinks.

Came here for a birthday lunch, and the 5 course tasting menu was impressive! Each dish used seasonal and local ingredients, and really highlighted the taste of each ingredient but also with unexpected combinations. We started with a fried cauliflower bite, then a mackerel and melon ceviche, grilled asparagus with hollandaise sauce, halibut, slow cooked lamb neck with chickpeas, and finally dessert was a strawberries with hibiscus ice cream and meringue. The service was also above and beyond! They were friendly and attentive, checking in and adjusting the pacing of the dishes if needed.

The cocktails here are super good, other drinks and bites (including pies) are also delicious. Never had dinner here, so can't say anything about that. Service is on point (sometimes a bit slower when it is crowded, but that is to be expected). I highly recommend this place.

I had a dinner yesterday at NEXT. Food is okay-ish. The ambient is nice. Service is a bit off but tolerable. I ordered one drink which was informed unavailable later on when all other drinks arrived to the table, thus I re-order something else, and at the end the drink that never came was charged. I came to realize that quite late as I wasn't the one who took the check when we were there. I have emailed the team but have not heard back from them so far. Update: I have received the refund within 8 hours since the email.

Unfortunately, nothing special. I did the tasting of 5 dishes plus pairing, what can I say, a tasting in that location didn't excite me, given that at a certain point it becomes so dark that you can't see what's on your plate. I expected something more refined and instead I had a place that seems like a tourist trap. The food is good but nothing exceptional, the pairing is better not to do it, just try the bartender's secret drink.

My money was stolen, basically because they gave me a menu with "previous day" prices. I had to pay double the price because those prices were a promotion for the city's anniversary.

Location is good, easy to reach by ferry from Adam CS. Every Sunday oysters for 1 euro, super tasty oysters. Even tastier without garnish. Main courses are tasty, but small portions. Desserts are expensive for what you get. Service is a bit slow if you are inside.

We were spoiled by the friendly and knowledgeable staff with delicious dishes with sometimes surprising combinations of ingredients, fantastic matching wines in a cozy setting with a beautiful view of the IJ.

You're sitting on top of each other. The couch is really dirty. We both got our cava in a broken glass. We only had the taco and it had so little taste that we left.

Had a great meal from the new menu. The tacos are delicious and the dry aged Ribeye was high quality. The 5 course menu on the table next to us looked very festive too!

Delicious food! 5 course tasting menu with wine pairing is highly recommended. We were helped very friendly and everyone was very hospitable. And not unimportant: the music they play is nice and you have an amazing view of the IJ 😊

Recently had a farewell dinner at Next, the Next team is super nice and personal. The host of the evening was very approachable and always around to do something for you. In addition, the bartender who came to tell about the matching drinks was very enthusiastic and fun to listen to. Food also fantastic, the surprise menu is really recommended, delicious food. 10/10

They advertise everywhere with a happy hour deal of 1 euro oysters. We had made a reservation for this, but they no longer do this deal!! While they do communicate it on their website and social media. In addition, we had to wait a long time for our drinks and the drinks were not made properly. Very bad!

I have been to NEXT maybe 10-20 times so far as I live very close. My experience so far has been good except today. Today I was charged EUR6 for tap water. They literally brought unsealed glass bottle filled with tap water and charged me for that. Very disappointed…

Definitely recommended! We had delicious snacks in the sun. Friendly staff and have good knowledge about their food and drinks. A bit on the pricey side, but certainly doable for Amsterdam.

Six months ago my youngest daughter was visiting from the US, in part because it was a round birthday of mine. For the event I made reservations at a restaurant. When we arrived there, all dressed up it turned out that the restaurant closed down that same day, and the notification ended up in my junk folder. I have been to Next before, and thought to try our luck without a reservation. The hostess was kind enough to seat, with the caveat that we will have to move in 90 minutes. The delicious food followed on beautiful and awesome cocktails, which included an alcohol-free one for my daughter. The staff taking our order was patient and guided us through the options, making recommendations where appropriate. The hostess showed up a little later, with the news that following some reorganization we could stay where we are for as long as we liked. Next comes highly recommended for its drinks, its food, and the wonderful staff that were crucial in making a memory out of the evening. Now, six months later my granddaughter has arrived, and I was wondering if I would be able to take her to Next, for her second visit.

Today we have been at the restaurant Next. I saw that for about a year it was part of the NDSM area and I was always curious to try it, but I never found the right occasion. So today we finally went there for lunch, me and my family. We sat outside on the terrace because it was a beautiful sunny day. It was really nice to sit there, enjoying the view on the water and the ferries passing by. Being right in the middle of the NDSM square gave a special vibe that I really liked. I also took a look inside the restaurant: it's very nicely decorated, stylish and modern. Even the toilet was beautiful. Honestly, one of the nicest I’ve seen in a restaurant. I even took a video because I thought it deserved to be shown, really lovely design. Aesthetically, the place is very well curated and I appreciated that a lot. About the food: we asked if they had a kid’s menu, but they didn't. The waitress suggested French fries or typical Dutch snacks like bitterballen, which honestly is not really what you expect when you ask for a kids’ option. It would have been nice to see a bit more creativity and propose something a little healthier or more proper for a lunch. However, speaking with another waitress, I managed to find a solution: I asked if we could switch the pata negra in one of the egg benedicts with salmon instead, and they accepted. At the end, the kids ate something decent and tasty, not just snacks and fries. For the adults, we ordered egg benedict with mushrooms and with pata negra. The one with mushrooms was really delicious. For the pata negra, I was a bit surprised because the ham was machine-cut, not hand-cut. A premium ham like that, is normally served hand-sliced. I’m not Spanish, but I’ve had enough Iberico in my life to know it. So honestly, I’m not sure if it was truly Pata negra or maybe just a good quality ham. The bread for the eggs benedict was brioche bread, super tasty, but the portion was a bit small. I think it would be perfect if they served two slices of bread instead of one under the two eggs. The eggs and sauces were plenty, just missing that extra bit of bread. Overall, we really enjoyed our lunch. The place is lovely, the terrace is great, and the food was very tasty. I’ll definitely come back, especially because I noticed they have a big cocktail menu, and I would love to try their cocktails next time. Price-wise, it’s a bit on the expensive side: we spent €150 for four adults and two kids (who shared a plate). So yes, it’s not a cheap breakfast or lunch. Service was not the fastest, but to be fair, there was only one waitress handling the whole terrace, so it’s understandable. She did her best, and we weren’t really disappointed, just something to keep in mind. In general, we had a very nice time at Next and we will definitely come back!
