The cappuccino was more warm milk than coffee and way too expensive, the sandwich. Healthy 8.75 way too expensive, never again, you're better off getting the free vending machine coffee in the department.

Expensive and little to eat. They are going to rinse both coffee machines at 5 p.m. Right in the middle of visiting hours. Very expensive for a hospital.

Often very poor food for outrageously high prices. (Filet américaine sandwiches (6.75), pizza with a rock-hard crust (returned), disinterested service, toiletries almost twice as expensive. Not a good advertisement for the IJsselland hospital.

Very expensive, even for a hospital, with little choice because it has to be healthy... a bit of a shame, there used to be more choice in food and drinks. A real shame.

Of course, catering facilities in a hospital are different from those outside, but as is the case at IJsselland Hospital, it's truly different from most other comparable establishments.... ....Born out of necessity, I've been a guest at this hospital very regularly, either with my wife or at the restaurant.... The IJsselland restaurant has a truly fantastic location in the middle of the central hall and is and looks well-maintained.... There's also a gift shop that looks very inviting.... My problem lies with the staff and the quality of the food.... to start with the latter.... with many products you buy, it seems as if their expiration date has passed.... to clarify... with many products, really.... so.... the winner of this competition was a toasted sandwich that I suspect dates back to 1830.... but I'll admit that it's certainly not easy to offer a lot of fresh produce and keep it well-stocked.... ....My real concern is with the staff.... no, they're not rude, and no, they're not Disdainful of the customer...I think the best way to describe it is that it seems like they're suffering from chronic depression...In my many visits, I haven't seen a single smile...not a single pleasant chat, either among themselves or with a customer...In other words, what's going on...?...Are they at war with each other...Do they think the workload is too high...?...I don't know, but I do know that I would appreciate it if they took a mirror, looked in it, and then asked themselves if that's what they want the customer to see.
