Expensive and little food. Both coffee machines are being rinsed at 5 p.m., right in the middle of visiting hours. Very expensive for a hospital.

Often very poor food for outrageously high prices. (Filet américaine sandwiches (6.75), pizza with a rock-hard crust (returned), disinterested service, toiletries almost twice as expensive. Not a good advertisement for the IJsselland hospital.

Very expensive, even for a hospital, with little choice because it has to be healthy... a bit of a shame, there used to be more choice in food and drinks. A real shame.

Of course, catering establishments in a hospital are different than outside them, but as it happens in the IJsselland Hospital, it is really different from most other comparable establishments.... .... Born out of necessity, I have been very regularly a guest at or with my wife in this hospital.... the IJsselland restaurant really has a formidable location in the middle of the central hall and is and looks well maintained.... there is also a gift shop that looks very inviting.... my problem lies with the staff and the quality of the food....to start with the last one....with many products that you purchase it seems as if the expiration date has been exceeded....to clarify....really with a lot of products....so....the winner in this competition was a sandwich that I suspect came from the year 1830....but I immediately admit that it is certainly not easy to offer a lot of fresh products and keep them in order.... ....My real concern is with the staff....no they are not rude and no, they are not disrespectful to the customer either... I think the best way to describe it is that it seems as if one is suffering from chronic depression... in my many visits I have not seen one smile... not one pleasant conversation, either among each other or with a customer... in other words... what is going on...?...are they at war with each other...do they think the workload is too high....?....I don't know about it all, but I do know that I would like it if they took a mirror and looked at it and then wondered whether that is what they wanted the customer to see....
