A great find on our first visit to the region, and we don't regret it at all. The food was delicious, and one of the waiters was kind enough to speak a little French, which was a nice touch 🙂

We had a really good meal here. The burgers were delicious and the fries were great too. Despite the allergies, everything worked out well.

I can recommend the tarte flambée with burrata, although there are hardly any other vegetarian options here. The salad was smothered in a sugary dressing, and the strawberry topping on our smoothies was more like strawberry syrup at the bottom of the glass. Too sweet for my taste, especially when you're hoping for a healthy, fruity drink.

Lovely atmosphere, friendly service This restaurant and café is located right at the start of Domburg's lively town center. While it's a great place to grab a drink, coffee, or waffles during the day, it transforms into a delightful restaurant in the evening. The staff was attentive and friendly, which made the wait for drinks a little more bearable. This was hardly surprising, given the packed terrace. A visit is definitely recommended, either as the start or end to your trip to Domburg.

I was served by an incredibly rude waiter. I couldn't understand him and was laughed at by him and the other guests. I left; anyone else wouldn't have tolerated that kind of behavior.

We were here with the Ring Riding competition. We had a wonderful time sitting, eating, and drinking. Top-notch staff: friendly, hospitable, and helpful.

As long as we have been coming here, it has always been okay. The price-quality ratio is still good, the service is fast and friendly, and there is almost always a table available, although reserving is certainly not an unnecessary luxury, especially for dinner.

We spontaneously decided to eat here during our vacation and were pleasantly surprised. The conservatory is very comfortable. The menu offers a nice selection. We were all very satisfied with our meals. We would especially recommend the gnocchi with burrata, the tuna poké bowl, or the burgers. The service was friendly and attentive. The interior is also very nice.

Went out for dinner here with the family. Ordered the platter for 2 people as a starter; it was a large portion where everything tasted good. The spare ribs that came with it were absolutely fantastic. Main courses were generous portions and tasted delicious. Nice and friendly service.

We tried to have dinner on the terrace Monday evening. When we arrived, a young waiter initially mocked us because we were French, even though we spoke English. We sat down at a table, and after 20 minutes of him walking past us, ignoring us while he attended to all the other tables, we signaled to him. He finally came to take our order, and we asked him the difference between two beers. He replied, sounding irritated, that if we didn't know them, he couldn't explain. Then, WHILE we were giving him our order, he suddenly turned to take another table (bumping my partner with his tray) and escorted other people to the other side of the terrace, abandoning us without an apology. We left, completely baffled by this level of disrespect.

Beautiful service, lovely restaurant, the best steak I've ever eaten, best restaurant experience of my life, would gladly return.

The tornado steak was the best steak I've ever eaten. Tender, perfectly seasoned, simply cooked to perfection. But everything else blew me away too – the drinks, the other dishes, every single detail was spot on. One course topped the next; in the end, everything was just superb. Anyone looking for a great meal in Domburg should definitely come here. We'll definitely be back.

We took our grandson to Walcherschen Dolphijn on Friday evening and were delighted. Everything was perfect, from the superb service and excellent food to the lovely interior ambiance. We can wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant. Tip: Make a reservation on weekends if you want to sit outside or in the conservatory.

We wanted to have lunch at this restaurant. The frozen schnitzel arrived, but the accompanying fries didn't come to our table until 15 minutes later. We explained this to the waitress, and she responded in the most rude manner. She immediately became aggressive in her tone and body language. Such behavior towards customers is completely unacceptable. To top it all off, she even tried to take the fries away from us, claiming they were free, even though they were part of the schnitzel.

The food was excellent, the value for money was top-notch, and the young man who served us at the table was particularly friendly, polite, and professional. Unfortunately, that positive experience was somewhat overshadowed upon entering when the hostess reprimanded us for including our toddler (who eats with us) in the number of guests during the reservation, but not our three-month-old baby. Perhaps it is just me, but I have never experienced a place making a fuss about that. Apart from that, what bothered me most was that we were addressed as customers in a rather condescending manner, when it was at most a trivial and well-intentioned mistake.

Hello, we sat outside on Sunday and enjoyed a wonderful salad. Later, we also had a coffee. The service was good and very nice and friendly. The outdoor seating area is somewhat questionable, as it's located directly on the pedestrian zone's main walking route. Add to that the bicycles and cars that also drive through.

A great restaurant with a very cozy conservatory. The staff are very friendly and attentive. We only waited 20 minutes for our food, which was delicious. The value for money was also excellent.

Yesterday on the terrace, I ordered 2 non-alcoholic drinks: 1x Pornstar for €0.10 and Erdinger 50cc for €8.20, total €18.20. I gave the waiter a tip; he said it was €21.20, rounded up to €22.50. But much later I found out that we paid too much!! Stupid that I didn't pay attention right away, but surely this couldn't have been intentional. He probably charged for the Pornstar with alcohol!! Stupid mistake.

It's a lovely place to sit and watch the colorful hustle and bustle. The service was friendly and the selection of drinks was very large.

Actually nice to sit and enjoy on the terrace, if you aren't unfortunately being filled with the smoke from all sides. Even today, there is still no smoke-free terrace here.

For the past six years, we've regularly driven here for coffee. Unfortunately, today's coffee was bitter and no longer enjoyable. It seems they changed suppliers in 2026. The staff is friendly but not particularly attentive. Other places handle this better. We won't be making the trip again.

Ordered fish and chips. Cod fried skin-on. It was still half raw. After mentioning it, the response was, "That's how we always fry it! I'll take the drinks off the bill?" As if that makes the fish tastier or more cooked???? Ate the fries and the most cooked pieces of the fish and just left the rest. I'm definitely never eating there again.

Highly recommended! We’ve eaten there very regularly, and it never disappoints. Anything is possible! Recently, we even had a special dessert prepared to announce our pregnancy.

Unfortunately, I didn't take a photo… the schnitzel with mushroom cream sauce was fantastic. Honestly, it was the best schnitzel I've ever had as a German… and that was in the Netherlands. That speaks for itself. The service was good. One waitress was very stressed, though. Since it was extremely busy (Pentecost weekend), we were able to overlook that. We visited the restaurant with a group of seven. The fries were a hit with six of us.

Dear friends, we've been coming here for many years. The place is great, a lovely little town. Everything is getting more expensive, but the Aperol Spritz and Limoncello Spritz were served half-full, with half of that filled with ice cubes – without any care. That really shouldn't be the case. What a shame.

It has a lovely atmosphere; we actually liked it so much and enjoyed the food so much that we went back again. So it is highly recommended🩷 - Fleur, 10 years old. Delicious fresh waffles with strawberries, very friendly staff, and I recommend the iced coffee to everyone! You can sit here wonderfully in the sunshine, even in the conservatory when it is still a bit chilly. The prices are high, but as expected in a tourist village on the coast.

We ate here twice during our stay, and that pretty much says it all. The food impressed us every time. Whether fish, shellfish, or meat, everything was perfectly balanced and bursting with flavor. What I particularly remember is the service. Very attentive, uncomplicated, and relaxed. They even made me a Whisky Sour, even though it wasn't on the menu. It's precisely these little touches that make all the difference for me, because they show that you're truly valued as a guest.

Super sweet people. They are considerate of your allergy, and even the cookie with the coffee was replaced with another small treat. The play area for the little one was also nice and spacious.

We had lunch at De Dolphijn on Christmas Day: the Christmas menu. The preparation and presentation were rather basic. It was rather sparse, actually; we had to ask for rolls with our shrimp cocktail. The bisque was served in a tiny bowl without cream or any frills. It was all just fine, but you expect something different on such a day. What was completely missing: Christmas spirit and also: a welcoming feeling. It was not festive or special at all. A real shame.

Fantastic! Amazing food and a totally relaxed atmosphere. I've rarely been to a restaurant where these two aspects harmonized so perfectly! I would come here much more often if the journey were shorter... Almost six hours is a bit much 😔

We have eaten here many times in the past and enjoyed the experience- however the last visit was disappointing- we wanted to have the day soup - which came after 40 mins with an excuse that the bread rolls would be another 5 mins 10 mins later sent soup away and had fresh rolls. Poor quality and little acknowledgment that this was not acceptable. There are better places in the town.

Unfortunately, I can only give it one star. I wanted to have something to eat and drink there. The staff also gave us a menu...but that was it. It wasn't very busy, so that couldn't have been the problem. After 20 minutes, we went to the other side...the food was delicious there, and the staff were very accommodating.

This location is directly on the Main Street. The restaurant is ok but not the best. For my taste the food lacked and seasoning. The prices are very high for the quality of food and drinks. For 5 people our bill was over 200€ and we had to constantly get the attention of the staff. Tired of doing this we had to ask our server 3 times for the bill. This place is not a return.

After more than fifteen minutes, after our own insistence, we were helped by a waitress who seemed very busy and didn't really have time for us. She was very unfriendly and snapped at us because we'd beckoned her to finally help us. She quickly took our coffee order and then wanted to move on, without giving us time to place another order. She threw a menu on the table and walked away, saying she would come back for the next order. Then she'd have more time, she said. Whoever came, she didn't. After insisting, another waitress came to take the next order. She did so in a childish manner, and she treated us accordingly. When it came to the checkout, which also took a long time, we paid a fortune. In short: we will never go back here and give it a wide berth. A little respect for the customer is welcome, but that's sorely lacking in this establishment!

A young waiter was very unfriendly and rude. He told us he was glad we were leaving because our dog had barked once. We were sitting outside. We received our food without cutlery, so we had to get it ourselves. Never again.

We've been to this restaurant many times, but this time we weren't satisfied at all. The food was a disaster. The fries are better at any beach shack, the fish was soggy, and the burgers with, for example, pressed chicken weren't tasty. A shame.

I ordered a Limoncello Spritz, and since it didn't taste like Limoncello, I complained. The waitress completely ignored my request, and I ordered a different cocktail, and despite my complaint, I was charged for the Limoncello. I expected my complaint to be addressed. We will definitely not be going here again. That's not how you treat guests.
