Itami in Feijenoord

I didn't like the chicken and ebi sushi very much, it was very dry and the crunch was hard to find. The California roll was very tasty. On the other hand, the fries were cold. That's not why I come to Itami. I'm not coming back. Expected it a lot better. The music was also way too loud

We came on busy evening during weekend without reservation, but were still offered a table for a limited time. We went for it as Asian food is usually our top choice in new cities. I’m really glad we could dine in. The food was delicious, the staff very friendly and accommodating, all that wrapped up with perfect ambience, absolutely worth the money we’ve paid. Well deserved 5 stars.

Excellent food! The presentation is also very nice! Nice atmosphere, well themed dishes...etc. Most of the employees seem to be of Japanese nationality and they treat you very well. Very good service time! The dishes follow one another without long waits.

“Well, the cheapest all-you-can-eat restaurants are even better than this. The menu is very poor: you don't know what you are ordering, there are no photos and it is completely unclear. I ordered a carpaccio, but got roast duck breast. When I said something about it, I was told that that is what it is called in Japan.” Never again!

Today I went to Itami restaurant, and although the food was excellent, I noticed something about the service that I found very inappropriate. The staff selectively offered to take coats – some guests were given this service, while others were completely skipped. This not only felt unprofessional, but also unfair and uncomfortable. Equal treatment of all guests should be self-evident in a catering establishment. Little things like this make a big difference in the overall experience. Hopefully more attention will be paid to this in the future, otherwise it will leave a negative impression.

I don't understand the hype at all. Truly one of the bad sushi I've ever eaten. The side dishes were also really not tasty. We ordered fries with parmesan cheese 4x as an extra, which I could also eat at the chip shop and it wouldn't have cost me 300 euros. Sadly very disappointed.

First experience in this Japanese restaurant. The dishes are really excellent, you can feel the freshness of the products, and the service is quite fast. The subdued atmosphere and the location are very pleasant and perfect for a dinner. However, the customer service clearly leaves something to be desired... The waitresses seem in a hurry, with a smile and a sympathy that seems forced. This gives an unpleasant impression for the customer, especially in a setting that is intended to be welcoming! In summary, a promising place for the quality of the dishes and the atmosphere, but the service clearly deserves to be improved.

We wish we went elsewhere. We had sushi (California Rolls and Ebi Tempura) and did not like it at all. Definitely not worth it. I agree with other reviewers, that there is also a strange vibe and mediocre customer service at this place. Do not get blindsided by the interior design.

This is not a place with the highest quality sushi but the staff is very friendly.

Food was tasty. I expected more from the sushi and the options, but sides and snacks made up for that completely. Especially the mushrooms and the mix of scallop with fried rice. Recommended.

Fantastic Sushi! But the best were the scallops, served in a shell with a creamy sauce. Service was attenuative and friendly, we had a really nice evening there. We will definitely come back!

The restaurant is cozy with delicious food. The service is good. Wi-fi available. I visited the ITAMI around 18:00 and it was almost without guests.

Insane prices. 25 euros for a roll of sushi in a mediocre 90s restaurant? Just act normal. For that money I can cook my own food.

Thumping music, restless ambiance, food a travesty. Absurdly expensive. To be avoided. Nice desserts.

Food was delicious and fresh. Service upon arrival could have been slightly better. Upon entering, I greeted the bartender twice, but he completely ignored us. Our order was also not taken properly, resulting in orders being missed or orders that were ordered but not delivered. For the price you pay you expect more.

Very bad sushi, prices are enormous but the same as an all you can eat restaurant. For such prices you expect much better. By the way, me and my husband were not sure if a shrimp head had fallen on our plate or if it was decoration. I almost wanted to speak to the waiter and point out that the shrimp waste was on our plate. You may want to use that as a decoration, but then more work will have to be done on it, not in the middle of the board between the rollers as if it has been dropped on it. Furthermore, we only received our drinks after the food had been served... very overrated!

I find the previous reviews really misleading. Tastes differ, but the dishes are simply not fresh and very tasteless. I can hardly imagine that others have had a completely different experience unless the restaurant consciously divides between who gets "fresh" and who just gets "frozen imitation" dishes. Sushi is really bland in taste, also applies to the rice and other side dishes. The sushi was very chilled, as if it had just been thawed. Sushi was also super dry. I would also rather seat all guests as much as possible in the larger section and only couples or for the little ones in the smaller section. Now we come in and see a specific type of subculture on the right and a mix on the other side. I didn't feel like this was done consciously; but I find such a coincidental division unrepresentative and inappropriate for the beautiful appearance of the restaurant. Because we felt more comfortable with the “subculture”, we decided to sit there. This felt a bit strange.

Excellent sushis with well prepared fish. Delicious. 4 star because it is quite expansive.

the scallops are very tasty and the beef too. but the salmon grill and the sushi tasted very blend without flavour. The portions are extremely small and not worth for how much you pay. the dessert where also not special way to expensive for what you get,.

When we want to eat out, Itami is one of our top choices. Our children love it, and so do we. When we're there, we leave everything to the chef, and the food is always excellent.

A nice and quiet place with an amazing wagyu steak roll option (worth the price!) The service is really nice and accommodating, the food was fresh and delicious.

Unfortunately, they could not demonstrate a halal certificate for the meat. This keeps it on fish and vegetarian dishes. Also tasty, but a piece of meat would also have been tastier. Atmosphere is good, chill. Service is smooth. It can be pricey for big eaters, but you usually know that in advance

Absolutely not recommended. The food is certainly tasty, but if you have a meal with 2 people for 120 euros with 2 drinks and then you have to go get fries because you are still hungry, that says enough. Way too little food. Yesterday we ate at Itami again after a few years. Previously I was always very satisfied here, the price was always a bit higher than average, but the quality of the food more than made up for it. But now I'm considerably less enthusiastic. Both I and my table companions had the impression that the portions are smaller and the layout/presentation is less than in the past. We saw this both with the special sushi rolls, which we like to order as a starter, and with the main dishes. The main course of shrimp, which consisted of five pieces (halved), was a particular disappointment. When the waiter was approached about this, they said that this is the usual amount, “for a main course?”, “Yes”. In the past I would recommend this restaurant without hesitation, but that has now changed. The price-quality ratio is completely out of balance. I cherish my memories from the past, but I won't come back here again.

Ate with family for the first time and enjoyed it! Everything is super fresh and you can taste it… Staff very friendly and even explained how to use the chopsticks. Come record without pen/paper and do everything by heart. Even our coat was taken and she knew which one was whose 😵 Service is really great! Nicely decorated and seated at a nice table(place). Super customer friendly, food arrived in no time and it was super tasty

The evening started well until the manager came to tell us why we didn't like a certain dish. Guest indicated that the dessert had a stale steel taste and the “manager” came to have a discussion about it. Indicated that what he is doing is not okay. He then puts the plate back and walks away. When paying, my girlfriend once again pointed out that she did not like how they handled the situation, which caused the employees to laugh. Extremely sad. Never again for me.

Unfortunately, an Itami employee had to ruin our evening atmosphere yesterday! It's your birthday and then an employee raises his voice at you next to all the guests because you thought the dessert was frozen and didn't taste fresh! You pay a bill of €400+. The gentleman couldn't stand the fact that the birthday boy didn't like the mochi and threw the plate on our table and left! When I brought this up at the end of the evening I was laughed at! Such a shame while this was my favorite restaurant. Older employees in particular need a customer experience course

The atmosphere was good . Food was good . It's a shame that in a restaurant where you pay top price there are screaming children running around. The service was also not optimal, often the wrong things at the table and several waitresses at 1 table (normally you have 1 permanent one) very chaotic. Food came quickly.

Went here for the third time last Sunday and again had a very good experience. We took the 3-course menu, the food is really delicious and the service is great! I will definitely come back again!

Wonderful. The best Sushi I have ever eaten. The Jasmine Tea was very fragrant. Beautiful presentation. Delicious! Staff were great! Very clean. Very fresh. I will eat here again before I go home.

4-stars. Food okay, service okay, price less so okay. Our diner (we ordered several separate dishes and roles) and wine and sake were quite okay. As others have mentioned, the pricing is bit too high for quality. The interior is quite neat and clean, feels luxerious. I also believe that due to the success, speed is of essence to some of the staff: they are very quick to remove empty dishes, refill your drinks or take your order. Delivery of your order was quick. It felt kind of forced to the point of getting the table empty. Some other staff were very kind and engaging, so that makes up for a lot. Also staff were very accommodating and flexible when I gave late notice that I would want to pay part of diner with a restaurant cheque (which they normally don’t do on a Saturday). If the owner would allow for things to 'slow down’ and allow guest and tables more time to enjoy their meal, it would elevate the feel and rating to a much higher standard.

We eat here regularly and it is always a taste sensation. Nice, cozy place with friendly, good service. A nice bottle of plum wine should not be missed. I must say that we do not go for the standard sushi, but try the tasty specials.

What incredibly bad service!!!!!! Had to wait a terribly long time after our reservation was not recorded, even showing my call log, which shows that I had a conversation with the restaurant. The woman indicates that we will get a table, but says that we have to leave at 7:00 PM. They blame the customer for the mistake they make in their planning. The lady hurriedly comes to take the orders, while we have just been sitting for 2 minutes. I'm just in shock that this is supposed to be a “fancy” restaurant.

A very nice restaurant with ditto atmosphere and good service. However, I thought the food was only slightly better than the AYCE food joints in the city. Not high quality Japanese unfortunately. We had an ok meal and had a nice evening, but I thought the price-quality ratio was a bit skewed

Ik kom hier al jaren. Het eten was altijd voortreffelijk en de service redelijk. Dat mag ook wel, je betaalt er aardig voor. Het is een mooie zaak binnen, het terras buiten is helaas echt niet om aan te zien. Dus op een mooie dag toch maar binnen zitten. Maar ik heb nu een aantal keer achter elkaar zo’n teleurstellende ervaring gehad, dat ik heb besloten hier niet meer te eten. Het eten en de service zijn het geld niet meer waard. Het personeel is chagrijnig, vluchtig en niet scherp. Ze schrijven niks op als je bestelt maar “onthouden” het. Tjah, dan gaat er weleens wat mis he. Ging men met mij een nutteloze discussie aan over een door hen gemaakte fout. Het was bijna bekvechten. Is toch bizar!? En het eten is ook allang niet meer wat het was.

Tis restaurant has a very relaxed atmosphere. I had gunkan maki , yakitori, gyoza and miso soup with Heineken. Both were delicious.

Fab and fresh sushi. Great service. A bit pricey, but worth for the good quality.

Altijd heerlijk eten en super vriendelijke bediening

Mooie plek, ging alleen afhalen dus verder niet geprobeerd en het was midden op de dag. Volgend bezoek zal in de zaak zelf zijn. Verder was het afhaalmenu heerlijk en mooi bereid. We hadden de combinatiebox van 59 euro.

Very fresh ….very fresh….excellent taste

Klantvriendelijkheid mag wel beter. De kip pikant was niet lekker, te zout en koud. Dit hebben wij aangegeven en vervolgens pakte de vrouw het heel snel van onze tafel af (zonder het te vragen) en toen we vroegen of we nieuwe mochten zei ze “ nee ik ga geen nieuwe maken”. Wij hebben daar vaker de kip pikant gegeten en dit keer was het heel anders. De sushi was ok maar de topping was veelste hard (wat niet hoort) de rijst vond ik ook te zoutig. Voor een plek als dit mag dit echt wel beter. Mensen betalen goed geld om hier te eten.

Sushi was superb ,add miso soep as well . Staff was busy but still they were so generous and kind , so the service was quite slow because of the crowd . Ambience was nice .

Extremely overpriced for the mediocre sushi

Heerlijk gegeten, zeer vriendelijk en behulpzaam personeel. Wederom heerlijk genoten.

De sushi was heerlijk. We hebben ook een hoofdgerecht genomen. Klantvriendelijk van personeel kan echt veel beter. We werden eerst geplaatst op een groene bankje achterin maar 5 min later moesten we verplaatsen naar een ander tafeltje omdat ons plek na 2 uurtjes weer bezet zou zijn. Leuke inrichting binnen.

Het eten is top. Lekker warm geserveerd, lekkere cocktails. Het personeel mag wel wat vriendelijker, daarom 4 sterren.

Super service, personeel is erg attent en je voelt je echt gehoord. Zeker een aanrader als je echt lekker wilt eten.

Onlangs hun mega tekort aan personeel blijft het vaste team altijd super vriendelijk en doen ze er alles aan om een goeie service en gastvrijheid te leveren. Het eten blijft al met al goed!

Beste restaurant in Rotterdam en omstreken. Zo vers, zo goed en zulke kwaliteit zul je nergens vinden bij andere sushi tenten in de buurt.

Favoriete sushi restaurant in Rotterdam. Wij hebben vele, al dan niet alle, sushi restaurants in Rotterdam e.o. geprobeerd, maar dit is en blijft onze favoriet. Heerlijke smaken, goede service en een fijne ambiance. Aanrader!

Hier kun je altijd heen als je heerlijk Japans wil eten. Restaurant is sfeervol ingericht en goede service. Wel erg prijzig.

Heerlijk Japans eten met super vriendelijke bediening. Topgerecht is jacobsschelp met kimchi saus, sterrengerecht......pas op..wel aan de prijs.

Eten en bediening was weer erg goed. Wat opviel was dat de drank best heel duur was geworden. Een klein glaasje Cava was nu € 7,50. Dat is uit verhouding geraakt.
