Once I arrived I was told I was too drunk to enter, I was told to wait an hour. After waiting an hour with friends I was given the same answer. When I wanted to say something about this I was firmly reminded that there was no room for discussion. The whole evening was ruined, what a bunch of sour bastards those security guards are.

A nice and cozy party location where I had my first night out experience. The atmosphere is pleasant and it is a nice place to go out for an evening with friends. Definitely worth considering if you are looking for a relaxed and fun nightlife.

I am deeply shocked by my experience at Jantjes Verjaardag. Last Saturday I was refused entry because I had a small bag with me. No clear reason was given, except that apparently men are not allowed to bring a bag inside. This feels like pure discrimination and is completely unacceptable, especially in a city like Amsterdam. A city known worldwide for its openness, tolerance and diversity should never allow practices that exclude people based on personal choices or appearances. It is painful to see that such rules still exist, and it undermines the values ​​that this city should stand for. I sincerely hope that change comes soon and that this location adjusts its policy to truly welcome everyone. This kind of discrimination has no place, neither here nor anywhere else.

Discriminatory tent yuck! NEVER AGAIN. I have been going to Jantje's birthday every now and then for years. I was now in Amsterdam with a friend and asked if he wanted to come. My friend was carrying a small ted baker bag. The security guard from Saturday evening 11/01 with a cube-like head and dark blond shaved hair told my friend that the bag was not allowed inside. They didn't do men's bags and he had to give that bag to me. I then said that we didn't even have to come in anymore and that we would never come here again. A tent where people are excluded is not even worth visiting for me. In short, make sure your security staff is in order and that you read Article 1 of the Constitution carefully.

So many people, so many different experiences... this is evident from the reviews. Yesterday I went out with my wife and another couple for Jantje's birthday. Security did their job professionally and we had a good laugh. Just like with all the staff. Drink prices were very reasonable and the music was great. Paying to go to the toilet every time is quite annoying. Asked if I could pay 5 euros and get a stamp, this was not possible due to policy. The only tip would be to offer this.

On Jantje's birthday you will be thrown out without a valid reason. Apparently they actually don't want you to drink alcohol here, I think.

Just make sure you don’t lose your ticket or you’re screwed. Showing the tickets where you took a picture from won’t work to get your belongings back… Rule that doesn’t make any sense in my opinion.

10 euro entree. Leuke club maar de muziek staat te hard. 5euro voor het toilet voor de hele avond, wat duur is. Veel Nederlandse muziek. Wel goed te bereiken en personeel is prima!

Afgelopen weekend hier uitgegaan, leuke avond gehad. Muziek is leuk & het personeel is vriendelijk & altijd in voor een praatje/grapje. De mensen die er kwamen, waren wel wat jonger (18-20). Prijzen zijn prima.

Al vanaf jongs af aan erg leuk en gezellig om heen te gaan . Veel mensen buiten Amsterdam komen hier heen omdat het zo gezellig is hier,dat wil toch wel wat zeggen. Vriendelijk personeel. Elk jaar de leukste talentenjacht!! Wie wordt dit jaar de huiszanger/huis zangeres 🎊🎉🥳😍

Leuke tent, maar die schoonmaakster echt zo onbeschoft ze valt mij gewoon zomaar aan. Klantvriendelijkheid is ver te zoeken hier.

Was wel gezellig, tino martin trad op. Wel beetje jammer dat iedereen begon te beuken om erlangs te kunnen. En al die jonge chicks waren echt super dronken..

Super leuke uitgaans club. Ook voor rond de 30. Kwa muziek voor ieder wat wils. Beneden een après ski tentje. Super leuke avond gehad!

Heel gezellig, kan wel denk ik net iets minder speakers gebruiken in de niet zo grote ruimte, want je hoort elkaar bijna niet meer. Het is wel heel erg gezellig om uit te gaan, altijd druk.

Zeker een leuke sfeer maat erg overrated. Drankjes zijn abnormaal duur en personeel kan er soms best doorheen zijn... verder wel gezellig en goede muziek.

Leuke tent, prettig en centraal gelegen. De twee barren, en het feit dat eentje rond is maakt dat je makkelijk en snel bier kunt krijgen. Garderobe en wc's zitten beneden, dat is ook wel top, ontsnap ook even de drukte. Ruimte is lekker groot voor een feestcafé, en handig ingedeeld. Ik heb er tot nu toe altijd goeie ervaringen gehad
