Japanese Restaurant Tong Ah in Wijk 01 Overveen

The food was delicious as always, although it was a bit tough in places and we had a small table for two. Service was good, though.

We happened to end up here after a walk, and this was already the third year we've spent Christmas here with friends. Traditionally, we start with four frikadelles, just because we can, and then go full throttle on the other dishes, because time is of the essence. Fujong Hai! (hai) satay (also Japanese), noodles, nasi, babi pangang, sushi... too much to mention in small portions with a big smile. It's a shame they don't serve Warsteiner anymore, which is also delicious. It's also tradition to try to be the last to leave so Wing(man) can take a picture right in front of the Christmas tree. Wing(man) loves a joke and then turns the camera towards us too. We love Wing(man) too! Thanks for another fantastic evening!

We ate here with our grandparents and two grandchildren and had a wonderful time. The food was excellent and there was plenty of choice. And everything tasted different than at Tatsu. We'll definitely be back, and the service was super friendly.

Highly recommended – top quality – everything is exquisitely seasoned and prepared with love. The service is outstanding, so friendly and attentive, they took their time with us. We felt very comfortable and would gladly return.

We dined here with two adults and two children. Unfortunately, we were somewhat disappointed overall. The food was often just not quite right: sometimes lacking in flavor, sometimes a bit too greasy, or just too dry. The service was fine, but the atmosphere in the restaurant didn't really appeal to us. We were already a bit disappointed upon entering. We spent a total of €150 for our family, including just one drink each. That felt a bit pricey considering the experience.

Maybe we were unlucky, but I found the male waiters strange and not very friendly, perhaps due to the language barrier. The food was average, certainly not outstanding.

We've been coming here for several years. The staff are incredibly friendly, and you feel right at home. It's charmingly located near Overveen train station. We are. P.S. We bring a service dog, and we always get a nice, quiet spot.

A combination of Japanese and Chinese food, the sushi is delicious, the beef cubes, fried salmon and mushrooms and other dishes are all good. The restaurant is located 15 minutes away from Zandvoort Beach. It is next to Overveen train station.

We were with you for the first time. It was super delicious. And will come back soon.👍

Very tasty food, friendly people always happy.

When we ate here the staff was generally friendly and the food was tasty. The only major downside is that one of the staff members was very annoying. He would butt into our conversations, he would keep talking over us and he would imitate me when I was having a conversation. He also came very close when he wanted to interfere with the tablet. In short, we found it annoying every time he came over, even though he came with food.

Have eaten here several times. Service is always friendly and usually fast. If it is completely full it may take a little longer, but the quality and taste will make up for the wait. We'll have a bite to eat again soon.

Years after my first review, I can only report that it is still a very nice and cozy restaurant. Chinese and Japanese, sushi on an all-you-can-eat basis. The interior has recently been updated and I think the tablets have also been updated and provided with a new OS. Anyway, Tong Ah is very well known in the area. Due to staff shortages they have shortened the menu. Shame. You always get standard noodles or rice with the dishes; We always have a whole container left! Too bad you can't choose this yourself...

We ended up here spontaneously while hiking because we were surprised by rain. The food was super tasty, except for the soups… they had little taste. If I'm here again, I'll come back.

Great food, service and atmosphere. We visited because of my father's 75th birthday and had a great time. The selection of small bites are of very good quality. The Sushi and other bites are made fresh and tasted phenomenal. I will visit again soon.

We were really looking forward to going to Tong Ah tonight! I can call us regular customers here. Yet today we are very disappointed. We went out to eat for “stress relief”. Unfortunately, that didn't work out at all. All the fried things we ordered didn't arrive. So we kept ordering. Ultimately we pointed this out to the server ourselves. Then everything suddenly came onto the table at once. At 9:35 PM (restaurant closes at 10:00 PM). We quickly ate everything so we could order another dessert. When we received the bill we indicated that we were quite disappointed by the above. It was more of a stressful evening than a relaxing evening to enjoy. We ended up getting the drinks on the house. Nice, but we would have preferred to leave the remaining €70 in our pocket and get fries.

I was having a nice dinner with my girlfriend yesterday. The food was great, but the chicken had a strange taste... it was spoiled. So now I have gotten food poisoning which is not nice of course.

Very tasty meal. Easy to order at the table and a wide choice of tasty food. It is a family restaurant, so many children are present. Good service! SO to Wing! Definitely come back here.

Eten was prima, prijzen op de kaart onduidelijk. Werd niet goed op gereageerd toen we er iets van zeiden. Was de oude kaart met oude prijzen. Dat konden wij niet weten.

Het eten was erg lekker en het personeel was erg vriendelijk.

In één woord: SUPER! Dochter was vandaag jarig, 11 jaar geworden. Gevierd met sushi en andere happen bij Tong Ah. Wat een ontzettend aardig personeel, zeer goed eten en extra aandacht voor de verjaardag van onze dochter. Bedankt Tong-Ah!

Het personeel zijn echt schatjes, zo vriendelijk! En het eten is echt super lekker voor de prijs!

All you can eat restaurant at affordable prices. Ordering is easy and done through a tablet. Good sushi, delicious tomato soup, and good ambience. You may have to make a reservation first as it gets pretty full. Best days are weekdays, especially Tuesdays, apparently it offers even more affordable prices than during weekends

The food is REALLY mediocre for what you pay. Not all the staff are that friendly, only one young man who is super nice and friendly, the rest… The menu has lots of variations but unfortunately their food is just not great. You are also forced to buy at least one drink per person. I know all you can eat places would charge extra for unfinished dishes, but other places usually never do, even though Ive offered to pay, they are always really generous about it. This place, I didn’t like a dish and asked if I could just not eat it and they said “you either eat it or pay for it”… I mean it is their rules, and that’s understandable, but still feels a bit bad… Drinks are very overpriced. But their thai shrimp soup is REALLY goodz

Lekker gegeten met super vriendelijke bediening. Het is altijd fijn om hier aan tafel te schuiven.

Heerlijk, wel jammer dat er af en toe gerechten van de kaart verdwijnen.

Vanavond heerlijk gegeten met vrienden , we gaan gauw terug , super goeie bediening en je krijgt vlot je eten , onvergetelijke zaak

Dit restaurant is echt een aanrader. Altijd is t eten goed, wat je ook bestelt!!

Wij hebben best veel ervaring met dit soort type restaurants. Maar dit is de beste tot nu toe, het was allemaal erg goed op smaak. En wat wij erg belangrijk vonden is dat niet alles naar de oude olie smaakte. Zeker een aanrader, en als wij weer in de buurt zijn komen wij zeker nog een keer terug.

Heerlijke gerechten en zeer vriendelijke bediening.

Tong ah. Een familie restaurant in Overveen. All you can eat in 2 uur of traditionele gerechten bestellen. Of bestellen en wachten en thuis eten. De keuze is er. Goede bediening. Wij waren er op een donderdag. De ronde tafels met banken maximaal 6 personen zijn heel leuk om te zitten.
