The green ice tea tastes like water and the service was slow.

I am not easily inclined to make a post, but the service was downright arrogant and unhelpful. I ordered a coffee to go at the bar today. There were no customers in front of me, my order was taken, and I paid immediately. A customer came to pay behind me, and someone else was walking around the shop looking. After my order, the girl behind the bar wanted to let the other customers pay. Fine, but with a coffee to go, I expect her to make my order afterwards. But she decided to help that other customer who had picked something out of the shop first as well. I then politely asked if she could make my order first so I could leave with my coffee to go. The staff's reaction was downright a bizarrely unfriendly sneer. She was standing alone and had to switch between customers, and that I therefore had to let another customer go first. Moreover, it was delivered in a tone that I perceived as very arrogant and unfriendly to customers. Next, the customer behind me accused me of cutting in line for some unclear reason, even though that was not the case at all, and the lady behind the counter didn't correct that customer either, resulting in a very strange argument while she sulkily went to make my coffee. What an embarrassing, customer-unfriendly display. I won't be getting coffee here again. The experience does not outweigh the price you have to pay for a coffee. A customer service course is absolutely not an unnecessary luxury.

Nice place and we were lucky with the weather, as we had a lovely lunch outside in the sunshine. Worth a repeat visit.

I hesitated about writing this down, but this display of customer unfriendliness simply cannot go unnoticed. What a refreshing oasis of arrogance. On a Sunday afternoon, we took a seat on the terrace. The start was promising: we were able to order two glasses of wine immediately. There were exactly ten other guests, so the workload seemed manageable. While the tables around us remained empty and absolutely nothing was happening, after sitting still for fifteen minutes I decided to go inside and inquire where the grape harvest was. Inside, I found the full staff: five employees for a handful of guests. The response? "We are busy, you just need to be patient." The definition of 'busy' apparently differs quite a bit, because there was certainly no dynamism radiating from it. When I went back to sit outside on the terrace, the staff's priority list became truly clear. One walked away with a garbage bag, another disappeared and stood further down the street smoking. Well, you have to find a place to rest after not serving two glasses of wine. For us, enough was enough. When announcing our departure, all that was left was an unfriendly sneer. Dear management: will you probably be complaining loudly again shortly about how high costs are and that prices need to go up? Tip of the week: if your employees were to shift their focus from their own breaks to providing actual service and respect for the customer, it would likely yield a lot more in the bottom line. Save yourself the trouble of a standard, pre-programmed excuse in the comments – the arrogance and disinterest spoke for themselves.

Place is cute and products are lovely. The blond server that is working rn is super rude tho, not a smile, not a hello… she made me feel soooo unwelcome and uncomfortable asking for ketchup.. I wont be back.

I popped in for a sandwich Saturday morning but left immediately. The girl behind the counter called out twice, "Yes, I'm busy, I'll be with you in a moment," with a tone that suggested, "Can't you see I'm busy?" There were only two people sitting in the dining area. Never again.

We briefly sat here and drank two homemade hot chocolates and had some lunch, but it just wasn't very exciting or tasty. The homemade hot chocolate wasn't very good, so we left it alone. We weren't asked if it tasted good or why we hadn't finished it. The same was true for the sandwiches: an avocado with crispy bacon, if the avocado wasn't ripe yet, the sandwich was simply disappointing. We also didn't finish the sandwich, and we weren't asked about it either. It's just missing a personal touch, a touch of hospitality that asks how you experience something or how it tastes. The staff is polite, but they don't say anything more than "please" and "thank you."

We spontaneously drove this morning with our daughter and dog Coffee from Schoorl to Zandvoort to see the sea and stopped by this place! Great little café with great products, thank you 🙏

The best coffee and a cozy, super nice atmosphere, a real neighborhood café!

Very kind personnel, however in October the exit door is still open so both cold and cigarette smell comes in which taints the atmosphere. The prices are very high for hot drinks (4.95 or higher), eg compare with nearby Haarlem cafes where cappuccino is around 3.50€. Plus for any plant milk they add 1€ on top, so you can easily spend 6€ on your regular coffee. No decaf coffee. Perhaps the place is more of a sandwich and grabbing a bite type of place. Quieter on weekdays and pretty loud during the weekend. Nice walkways close by.

Beer and sandwich after a bike ride. Choice of beer, limited menu but very nice sandwich. Sat outside watching the world go by.

Nice coffee shop on a corner in Overveen (Haarlem). Friendly staff, good coffee, many organic and vegan options. Several tables inside (about 10) and a small outdoor terrace. Pretty basic for atmosphere, but it’s a nice place to relax, have a coffee/tea/chai, read the paper or a book. Good place to meet with friends and chat. I enjoy coming here. It’s cozy.

Yesterday I was here because the White House opened at 5 pm. Very customer friendly lady. I asked for green tea and asked can I have honey with it. She even gave me 2 bags of honey with the tea. She told me very enthusiastically about a trip she had made and that she had just returned. I also got the quality newspaper of the Netherlands. Then I ordered a filled cookie and it was very fresh. When paying (they deserved a tip) you are politely told thank you instead of no problem which you hear almost everywhere these days. Old times resurrected in a modern business.

Really dumbfounded by the lack of any personal attention or service from the staff. No greeting or service at the table, then stood in front of the bar for 4 minutes looking at the backs of the staff before I was helped. Then ordered 2 drinks, 1 of which was an Iced Tea. The Iced Tea turned out to be a large glass of water with 4 ice cubes and a bag of tea (at €4.95!)........ that is not iced tea I can say with 20 years of catering experience. And as the icing on the cake, the girl asked when paying if everything was to my liking and to my complaint about the Iced Tea I only got the answer; "It's lemonade sir!!, you can pin on the wall there" Bizarre experience.

We only ordered gluten-free cake. We specifically mentioned that it had to be gluten-free. We got two small slices of cake for free. Everything was incredibly delicious. It was probably the cake that was free. A few hours ago, my husband was still celebrating the gluten-free cake. Now he's bedridden with vomiting and diarrhea. What a shame.

Unfortunately a bad experience: ordered the Lebanese special with roasted pumpkin. But the pumpkin came straight from the refrigerator and was ice cold! Za'atar was nowhere to be seen and Labneh was just cream cheese. A tasteless sandwich and the most expensive! The layout was uninteresting, see the photos. When I mentioned this and that I really didn't like it, I only received a pitying look from the head waitress and a 'sorry, yes, that is indeed wrong on the menu'. That's it... no compensation or anything... nothing. Very unprofessional and sad. The kimchi sandwiches were tasty. And the environment is very pleasant. Music was also loud inside. We will come back for the kimchi sandwiches. Hopefully you will do something with the feedback 🙏🏼

Nice location, mediocre service. We had to call the waitress ourselves, even though it was not busy and we had been sitting for some time. When we ordered 2 coffees, she did not give us the option to choose from the different volumes, so the bill was later higher than expected. Indecent way to sell more.

Good food in a relaxed atmosphere and friendly staff. The staff should try to eat the presented food, which in some cases is nearly impossible due to the choice of presentation. 1hr free parking. Loyalty card doesn't work.

Nice place. Coffee is tasty. I ordered the soup of the day (ask the employee about the soup of the day). My approach is to get fresh soup. Then I see her take the soup from a jar in the display case and it went straight into the microwave. I thought it was really mediocre. The soup was also very tasteless. Everything else is good and friendly service

We had lunch here on Sunday with 3 people. What struck us was the following. 1. Wanted to order a sandwich that wasn't there. (I wasn't told.) Ordered another sandwich after which the lady came back to say there was no brown bread. Wait 15 minutes or order white. 2. Ordered drinks and a carafe of water. Water didn't come. Asked again, the carafe of water comes with glasses that just came out of the dishwasher (hot glasses). 3. The boy who made our sandwiches has long and wild hair. He is not wearing a hat or net. Felt very annoying. 3. All staff in private clothing, including the cook, food and drinks behind the bar. All in all not the best experience. So apparently this isn't a lunch thing for me. Just wanted to report it. Sandwich was very tasty.

After a lovely walk in the woods, have a beer at Stach Chill spot, good atmosphere

Ik ben inmiddels vaker naar stach overveen gegaan en bleef terug komen voor de leuke sfeer in het tentje, maar tot nu toe is elke ervaring met verschillende soorten koffie negatief. Ik nam vandaag een kleine pumpkin spice latte to go en kwam er later achter dat het gewoon een bekertje opgewarmde melk was, niet mijn 5 euro waard. Mijn vriendin had een matcha latte van slechte kwaliteit.

Everything was gone, no delivery

Normaal erg gezellig om er te zitten. We komen bijna elke zondag na het hardlopen en soms voor de lunch. Vandaag rond 12:00 een paar tafeltjes. We vroegen waar onze cappuccino bleef. Het duurde wel erg lang. Het zou er echt zo aankomen maar toen nog wel even moeten wachten. Ik nam een hapje van het stukje stroopwafel wat bij de koffie kwam en brak bijna mijn tanden, zo oud en hard was het. Ik heb het dienblad naar de bar gebracht en gezegd dat het niet te eten was. Toen ik ging afrekenen gaf ik aan dat het vandaag wel erg slecht was. Het was niet druk en lang moeten wachten en dan wordt er ook niet iets anders bij de koffie gegeven. De dame gaf als antwoord dat de koffie toch is gekomen, ze ook niets bij de koffie had kunnen en ze wilde met respect behandeld worden. Ik heb mijn stem niet verheft niets onaardigs gezegd, alleen mijn mening. Nou dat kon dus niet. Alleen €9,20 afrekenen. Heel teleurstellend dit en jammer van zo een leuke plek waar we normaal graag komen.

Coffee is always really good and so is the food. We come every sunday morning here and always have a good experience even when its super busy. Attentive and really nice staff too

As parents from the neighborhood, we have been coming to Stach for drinks for years. Unfortunately, we have noticed a significant increase in prices recently, even for children's drinks. For example, during a recent visit with my two children, I was charged EUR 4.50 for a small chocolate milk, without any service. We had to find our own spoons and napkins. We find this price increase, together with the lack of basic service, very disappointing.

Delicious coffee and nice location, friendly service too

The waiting time for a cappuccino was extremely long, but fortunately it was made up for by a delicious coconut macro. Nice and trendy tent and nice service.

Very nice tent, beautifully decorated and fresh products. Staff is very nice, had a spot on the small terrace in the sun. We have already had breakfast once and now we wanted to have a drink, we were a bit late and not everything was available anymore. After consultation, they had made a small platter. We enjoyed it and afterwards it was very affordable 😀 We will definitely come back!!

Zeer slecht , dit is de derde keer dat ze onze broodjes zijn vergeten te maken . Leuk die gratis koffie , maar dit kan niet de bedoeling zijn . Zeer amateuristisch 👎🏻

Nice business, but unfortunately management does not find it necessary to properly guide the well-meaning staff. Coffee prices are absurdly high and the coffee tastes great but is not hot enough. Presentation of dishes very sloppy.

Pricey, but just a great place!

€4.15 for a small cappucino, to take away. What kind of prices are those? The capuccino was lukewarm, which is a shame, but otherwise tasty.

Stach changed the menu to, what looks to me, like a simple sandwich store. The delicious, typical Stach sandwiches, have been replaced with pistolettes served without any decoration on a large deep plate. Although the sandwiches are fresh, I would have liked them to have been warmed for a while. The price-quality ratio of the sandwich is reasonable. The real cost is incurred when you choose a juice from the store's display case, or order coffee. The feeling I got is that Stach has left the kitchen to a tenant who floats on the store's image with products.

Very nice coffee shop and Stach store. I old meter house so very authentic and cozy on the inside. Coffee can sometimes take a while, but it is the best in town. Nice after a walk or after a visit to Haarlem.

Waardeloos. Bediening niet attent, niemand kwam informeren of we wat wilden eten (om 13.00 uur!). Vervolgens moesten we zelf op zoek naar de lunchkaart. Theedoos bevatte 20 smaken kruidenthee, niet één soort zwarte thee. Suiker in de potten keihard. Servetten en lepeltjes afwezig. Broodjes (sneue puntjes) zeer karig belegd, alsof de mozzarella en avocado eigenlijk op waren. Heel jammer.

I love to sit here and do some school work. The only downside is the price but I guess that's the Netherlands as a whole.

Gluten-free options. On the map but not available in practice. Staff who have no knowledge of gluten allergy and do not want to investigate.

We kwamen rond 12:30 binnen en bestelden alle drie de Meatball Truffel burger. Na 3 kwartier wachten hoorden we ineens dat het vlees op was en dat we geen burger kregen. Dit had veel eerder gemeld moeten worden. We hadden hierdoor geen tijd meer om ter plekke te eten en moesten ineens wat anders bestellen. De bestelling kregen we mee en klopte alsnog niet. Verkeerd belegd en verkeerde broodsoort. Slechte service. We hebben echt lang gewacht en kregen alsnog niet wat we wilden. Jammer.

Endroit très agréable et serveuses bien sympathiques. Nous avons déjeuné ici un midi, et nous avons très bien mangé, les burgers étaient plus que bien servis, avec une bonne portion de frites ainsi qu’une salade. Les prix sont raisonnables et surtout en accord avec les quantités. Bon rapport qualité-prix, je recommande !

Disappointing breakfast at Stach. Visited 9:30 on Sunday. Stach no longer offer a big breakfast (they used to have boiled egg, croissant, jam, ham, cheese, juice, coffee in one special.) So we asked for the ‘Smashed avocado w/ eggs’. Unfortunaetly the cook wasn’t yet in (not clear why). And wouldn’t arrive until 10am (an hour after opening time), but we were told he wouldn’t be cooking immediately when arriving. So we took the ‘Koffie + croissant + sapje’. Also disappointing, croissant with no jam or butter, not really fresh juice. Could be so much better. Used to be…

Prachtig plekje. Vaak ook lekkere koffie. Maar vandaag echt vieze koffie. We hebben het zelfs niet opgedronken. Ik hoop dat dat eenmalig was.

De locatie is prima, de boom voor de deur zorgt voor veel schaduw. Het personeel is behoorlijk ongeïnteresseerd. En heeft vooral lol met elkaar, wat ook belangrijk is 🤭. Het schijnt dat ze hier bestellingen aan tafel opnemen. Dat bleek niet uit onze ervaring.

Altijd al groot fan van Stach, goed eten en vriendelijke bediening!

I like this place but the service need to be improved. The last time I ate at this place, the staff was not friendly.

Mooie locatie met een geweldige ligging, we komen hier al jaren, helaas is de bediening nooit echt goed en de kwaliteit van de koffie fluctueert sterk.

Eten is goed maar service is niet goed

Relaxe sfeer. Lekkere havermelk koffie. Eten nog redelijk betaalbaar en uiteraard lekker. Redelijk wat vega en vegan op de kaart. De tomatensoep van laatst was super!

Server Philip is professional and highly skilled. Quick and kind service, he knew exactly what I should order, his recommendations were on point. Usually I don’t tip more than 5% but his work could not go unrewarded. Go to Stach!

Even met een vriend een lekker broodje eten met een heerlijke kop koffie. Bij Stach moest ik zijn, hoorde ik van kennissen. Na een lekkere wandeling waren we daar wel aan toe. Het was 15.58 en wilden beide wat lekkers bestellen. Helaas, de keuken ging om 16.00 dicht. Geen enkele mogelijkheid meer tot een broodje, twee minuten voor 4. Dit is nu wat je zegt, op en top Nederlands! 4 uur is 4 uur. Wat een slechte service. Gelijk opgestapt! Maar hè, 30 meter verderop het fantastische Borski. Wat een verrassing en verademing. Met open armen werden ontvangen, dat is nog eens service! Stach, ik moet jullie eigenlijk bedanken, wij zij overSTACH gegaan. Wat zijn jullie een ballentent!

Fijne plek om te eten. Goede sfeer. Het geluid mocht voor mij wel iets minder. Misschien de muziek uitzetten als aan alle tafels mensen in gesprek zijn.

Eten was lekker. Aardige bediening. Sfeer ook leuk. Maar het duurde erg lang totdat we konden bestellen en ons eten kregen. Lunchen duurde 2 uur. Onze kindjes waren op een gegeven moment wel klaar mee. Er gingen ook dingen mis. Ik kreeg 2 x mn drinken niet en toen Ik m'n hamburger op had kreeg ik na 10 min m'n friet.

Super leuk, was daar voor de eerste keer om een bakkie toen met een heerlijke plak carrotcake. Kom er zeker terug.

Deze is best goed en vrij service gericht naar de Bloemendaalse clientele.. charming lokatie..

Ein interessantes, alternatives, aber gemütliches kleines Bistro, in dem man auch Lebensmittel kaufen kann, was besonders toll ist. Sowohl VegetarierInnen, VeganerInnen, aber auch alle anderen kommen hier auf ihre Kosten🌱😊 Wie sind hier durch Zufall gelandet, während einer Fahrradtour nach Zandvoort und haben den Zwischenstopp sehr genossen.

Very nice little place with excellent service

Leuke opzet, maar voor de rest niet veel bijzonders. Het duurde best lang voordat je je bestelling krijgt. Service is in orde, maar er mag wel vaker schoongemaakt worden.

Heerlijk gegeten en vriendelijke bediening

Zondagmiddag, niet zo heel druk, terrasje zat vol, binnen was leeg op ons na. Het zal wel door gebrek aan bekwaam personeel komen dus heel kwalijk kun je het ze dan ook niet nemen. We waren met 5 personen, 4 bestelden koffie/thee met appeltaart/slagroom, 1 bestelde clubsandwich, jus en water. Club was er niet meer dus het werd een broodje carpaccio. Na 45 minuten kwam de appeltaart, 10 min later de koffie/thee. Het water en de jus moest extra gevraagd worden. Kwartier later werd gevraagd of alles naar wens was.....nou, dat broodje carpaccio was er nog niet...vergeten, sorry. Nou laat maar, ik hoef hem niet meer

Koffie is lekker, maar heel stevig aan de prijs. Afrekenen duurde erg lang, w.s. door gebrek aan personeel.

Alleen koffie gedronken. Die was wel aardig. Maar €3,60 voor een americano? Die ook nog op de verkeerde manier gemaakt is nl op basis van een lungo ipv op basis van een espresso. Kom op zeg. Een grote bak was het wel maar toch. Eigenlijk zijn alle prijzen op de kaart erg hoog. En dat voor zo'n toch wel petiterig oubollig buurtcafeetje met kleine houten tafeltjes en stoeltjes. Ik zal hier niet snel weer komen. Bediening wel prima en vriendelijk.
