Had to wait a long time for my latte. It was lukewarm and the stirrer was far too short. As a result, my fingers ended up in the coffee. The glass was also only 3/4 full. All that for €5.50! I didn't find it cozy either, so it's not my kind of place. Too tame.

Had a delicious meal, beautiful spot with a sea view, large windows, modern interior, comfortable chairs, friendly staff—what more could you ask for? Oh yes, and an acoustic ceiling too, so the volume of the lounge music stays well within limits.

The carpaccio was brown. Naturally, I asked if this was okay. The 'chef' indicated that it was fine. Fortunately, there are many alternatives nearby.

Special days at Bloemendaal at Bloomingdale! We come here regularly, all the way from Breda in Brabant, because 35 degrees is definitely a lot nicer by the sea! At Bloomingdale, we find everything we need. A lovely lounge bed with a view of the sea (you just imagine the trash cans are gone ✏️). You do need to reserve in advance and be there before 10:00 AM. A bottle of water is included, and you get friendly service with it. And well, everyone has to start somewhere, so we forgive the youngsters. Tip: put on those hats, because your eyes and skin are already suffering too. Oh yes, there are also beds *on* the beach, located lower down. We did that last month and brought our own cooler. That makes a significant difference, of course. We know the breakfast menu by heart by now and enjoyed the eggs benedict this time. Lunch was a hearty toasted sandwich with a difficult name, but very tasty. The portion sizes here are always great anyway! And handy if you like things a bit spicy; The chili peppers 🌶️ are sprinkled over many dishes. And the avocado sauce is clearly *the* base. But it is tasty. In the evening, this time we chose the tuna, rare medium, and the sea bass. A glass of cava and Verdejo (Verdecchio). Top 💪. Early this morning, after a wonderful night's sleep at Blendin—also highly recommended—a long walk on the beach, which is still desolate for now. To finish off with coffee and juice. Masha danki, keep up the good work! PS: the dune grasses on the terrace are begging for a little water. Check the ladies' restroom a bit more often because ladies are sloppy.

We ended up here completely by chance. Fantastically beautiful. We are considering making this our permanent home.

By far the most beautiful and best beach club in all of Bloemendaal and Zandvoort… food top-notch, service top-notch, and the host of the beach beds (I believe his name is Maarten) was the nicest surprise of the day… what service!!!

Bloomingdale is no longer Bloomingdale; what started years ago as a free beach club has now turned into a strictly regulated regime. After being directed at the entrance to just pick a spot, and after finding one, we were asked by the staff member on site to go back to the entrance first. I politely declined and will never return here.

Everything was well taken care of. Just had a drink and a sandwich.

Finally, a place where everything was perfect for us! Beautiful furnishings, beachy outside, and cozy and stylish inside for the evening. Top-notch service!!! All the staff were incredibly friendly and clearly enjoyed themselves. And a very good, well-chosen menu with delicious dishes. Great prices. Best dessert we've had in ages :o) Thank you for the perfect evening!

The location and the restaurant/terrace are beautiful, but that is really all there is to say. The wine is way too expensive and there is very little choice if you want a glass instead of a bottle. The food is way too expensive for what you get. It was as if the pasta had been reheated, sauce and all. Flavorless, dry, bland, and meager portions.

Lovely service and tasty food, but also check in the front left by those lounge beds to see if you can still serve. We had to ask a lot of questions, or ordering via QR code was fine too, but less personal. If you want to earn more on drinks, come by more often. This is a tip, not a criticism. And when you take drink orders, don't forget to bring the second one. Otherwise, absolutely great!

The staff is very friendly! Service is reasonably fast. The music isn't too loud. I visited twice and reserved the daybeds both times. All in all, a very nice beach club.

Bloomingdale has been renovated beautifully: sleek, modern, and so fresh! Everything looks well-cared for and well thought out, the beds are wonderful, and the service ran smoothly and quickly throughout the day. Additionally, I had a remarkably pleasant conversation with someone from the team, whom I understood is sometimes called "the Adonis" internally. In any case, someone with quite a bit of charisma and those blond locks that have apparently totally adapted to beach life. He certainly didn't go unnoticed and added just that little extra atmosphere to the day. The food was also simply good: tasty, well-presented, and perfectly suited for a long day at the seaside. In short, a very successful upgrade of a place that was already good, but now feels truly complete.

We had made a reservation, but it turned out not to be necessary because it wasn't busy. We were allowed to choose our own spot and opted for a bench, without knowing that you had to pay extra for that specific place. That is why we were asked to move to another seat. Eventually, we found a nice spot after all. I only ordered oysters and fries. The oysters were delicious, but unfortunately, the fries were very greasy. As a result, I only ate a few of them. Furthermore, there was only one waiter who provided really fast and friendly service. Personally, I would definitely come back for a drink, but not so quickly for dinner. However, for the oysters, I would be willing to come back there every day!

The price/quality ratio is a bit off. The staff were walking around haphazardly, meaning you weren't helped efficiently. They are friendly, though, and the sunbeds on the beach are fine.

Unfortunately, our experience wasn't any better this year. The wine arrived without glasses, which came 20 minutes later. The food was okay. Because of my lactose intolerance, I ordered the fish without purée, but with fries. I received the fish plain, and the fries were charged extra. We will definitely consider other restaurants in the future.

Upon arrival, we were assigned a seat that we were not allowed to choose. Next, we waited 45 minutes for a portion of bitterballen (Dutch meatballs) that you could throw through double-glazed windows, with a wilted, soggy filling inside. We asked the server twice where our portion was. The second time we asked, he too was surprised by the poor service. That was clearly visible from the indignation on his face. With seven crew members on deck, you would expect them to communicate with each other. Very disappointing.

We had the pleasure of enjoying two days at Bloomingdale last weekend. We hadn't made a reservation for Saturday, but were welcomed in a super friendly manner by an enthusiastic and cheerful man. (We heard later that his name is Maarten.) We were a bit hungover from the night before and hadn't made a reservation, but Maarten had a lovely daybed for us where we could work off our hangover while enjoying delicious food and drinks. We were also able to reserve a daybed for Sunday right away; that day was absolutely fantastic again! The atmosphere and experience, combined with super friendly staff, made it amazing. The place is beautiful but overpriced and you need to get up and go look for a server every time you want to order (or even pay, could walk away easily!) and we were sitting on the terrace right next to the door, how more visible could we be?! 35euro pp to pay for a beachbed JUST for the bed (and a bottle of water) so 70euro for water and a bed where do they think we are? Monaco? Even if the service and food were better it would not be worth it. It used to be a minimum spend, like other beachclubs which is fine you will spend anyway ordering all day but on top of your spending 35euro just for the bed is ridiculous!

It looks slick on the outside. That is about all there is to say. Our experience with the staff was anything but good. And that overshadowed our experience. -Waited fifteen minutes, no one came to the table to ask if we wanted to order anything. Even though there was plenty of staff walking around and it certainly wasn't full. -Asked 3 different people if we could order something. -3 times the answer was no (!) It wasn't until the 4th person who finally succeeded, who answered yes with an irritated look and went to do something else first. -Who in heaven's name trains these young people and manages them on the work floor? We won't be coming back. You feel more welcome at the Yellow M.

The beach club looks good. It is a shame that the lack of hospitality stands in such stark contrast to that. On a warm afternoon, we ordered our drinks on the outdoor terrace around 3:00 PM and looked at the menu to see what to eat. Because it was very hot, we asked if a wheeled parasol could be moved to create some shade. A lady in a coordinating role indicated that this was possible until 5:00 PM, as there would be a reservation for the table from which the parasol came by then. As far as we were concerned, this was a fine solution. Half an hour later, an employee wanted to remove the parasol ‘because it had been agreed internally that the parasols would not be moved’. When we protested against this, he left the parasol standing. A little later, a manager came to remove the parasol ‘because this had been agreed internally’. This was despite the lady's earlier promise that the parasol could stay for a while. When the manager removed the parasol, we indicated that we would then leave and did not wish to pay for the four drinks that had been served. The manager responded by quickly clearing away the remaining drinks. What remained for us was great surprise that, at such a company and its management, a pleasant customer experience is so rarely the starting point for the sake of internal processes. We had a lovely afternoon at San Blas a few steps away, who, as far as we are concerned, has a much better grasp of the concept of hospitality. So, everything turned out well in the end.

Here is one of the worst reviews I have ever written. One afternoon a few days ago, I celebrated my birthday with my girlfriend. We ordered two dinner meals, one of which was a steak. It arrived within 3 minutes, with one sprig of lettuce on top and a kilo of sauce underneath... without the second meal. "Oh," said the person taking both orders, "sorry, but that isn't listed!" We asked. "Huh? You definitely noted down two meals..." Anyway, I looked at my steak; it was a rubbery, red, soaked little piece of steak. "Out of the oven," said the staff. "I ordered medium, not rare!" So, back to the kitchen the plate went. Well, eventually I cancelled my entire steak order. The second meal arrived after 30 minutes... the fun was over. No sorry or anything. Excuses from the floor manager, who almost, not rudely, threw the second meal on our table... I travel the world, I have never experienced anything like this. Beautiful location and a super hip and lovely beach bar. My compliments. The weather was lovely today and we had something to eat and drink here. But everything depends on good (trained) staff. The staff were wandering around aimlessly and had absolutely no idea what they were doing. I missed coaching from a supervisor. With a little coaching and guidance, you can get a solid pass with this staff. I attribute this to poor policy, because you can't really blame the young staff. If you want to make a success of this, give your staff thorough training and coach them on the floor. You will see that it will pay off. I wish you success with this beautiful beach bar. What shocked me most about Beachclub Bloomingdale was the racist behavior we witnessed. The manager (a tall Dutch man with long blond hair) made a remark to two Dutch guests along the lines of: “When the weather is nice, a certain bunch of people comes to sit here again.” Shortly before that, he had refused entry to a Moroccan boy. Subsequently, we saw that several other Moroccan visitors were also refused entry. This gave a very unpleasant and discriminatory impression. Additionally, both the food and the service were far below par. The steak was served cold. When we pointed this out to a staff member, he shamelessly stuck his finger into the steak to check if it was actually cold. I found that particularly unhygienic and unprofessional. When we subsequently asked for a new steak, we did not receive a brand-new steak as requested; instead, the same steak was returned, by then overcooked, after it had already been touched by the staff member's fingers. This is totally unacceptable for a restaurant that takes itself seriously. The combination of the alleged discriminatory behavior, poor service, inadequate hygiene, and mediocre food means that we will never return here and absolutely do not recommend this establishment.

Despite having a reservation, we were left waiting at the entrance and the organization seemed very unprofessional, with no clear system in place. The service was extremely slow, we waited 30–45 minutes just to place our order (each time) even after repeatedly asking staff for assistance. The waiters were inattentive, unwelcoming, and at times rude, which made us feel undervalued as guests. Unfortunately, from start to finish, the entire experience felt disorganized and unprofessional. The beautiful location could not make up for the poor service.

Ordered coffee, tea, and apple pie with whipped cream. The coffee and tea were brought, but something was wrong with the tea, so it was taken away again without explanation. No apple pie. After a long wait, we managed to get the waiter's attention with difficulty. Asked where the tea and the apple pie with whipped cream were; according to the waiter, we had only waited 2 minutes, so it was our fault. Said that the coffee was getting cold. It was perfectly normal for the coffee to come first and the apple pie only later. If you go out for dinner, you also get your drinks first and only then your food, was the reaction. It made no sense. Subsequently, the apple pie and the tea were brought, but the whipped cream was missing. We mentioned it but said, "Just leave that for now." The coffee was weak and by then cold, and we paid immediately. A little later, that same person brought a small saucer of complimentary whipped cream. No apologies for the whole hassle. During a long weekend in Bloemendaal aan Zee, I had breakfast at Bloomingdale every morning. Highly recommended! Beautiful beach club, relaxed atmosphere, lovely view. We visited this beach club on a Sunday afternoon for drinks to celebrate the birthday of one of our friends. The first thing that stands out is that the location is very beautiful. Situated directly on the beach, with fresh, modern decor and a well-maintained appearance. Upon entering, we were greeted by a staff member who was polite in herself, but had a somewhat strange demeanor. That was actually the beginning of an experience that left us with mixed feelings. Good service is worth its weight in gold these days and largely determines how you experience a place. There are frequent complaints about staff shortages, but investing in training and hospitality remains at least as important. We ordered various appetizers. They were fine and tasted good, but did not make a particularly strong impression. What also stood out was that no one in our group received their own plate. This made eating some of the snacks quite awkward. For example, tomatoes fell off the bread with almost every attempt to pick up a bite, while there was no plate to temporarily place anything on. The biggest problem, however, was the serving of the drinks. On a hot day, we had to wait about 45 minutes for our drink order. The food was already on the table, while the drinks just wouldn't arrive. We asked about this several times (3). Actually, one notification should be sufficient. Eventually, we did get our drinks, but we were forced to eat a large portion of the snacks without anything to drink. At such a moment, a simple "sorry" is really no longer enough. Another downside was the toilets (I really should have taken a photo of those). From the start of our visit, both soap dispensers were empty and were not refilled throughout our entire stay. Additionally, the paper towel bins were overflowing, causing used towels to be lying on the floor. Even when it is busy, you would expect a member of staff to check regularly. In addition, it turned out that not everything on the menu was still available, even though it was only afternoon. I wanted to order a matcha, but was told that it was sold out. I heard from other friends who were also there that day that there were even more products unavailable. All in all, we are left with mixed feelings about this visit. On the one hand, it is a beautiful location in a great spot, with an atmospheric ambiance. On the other hand, the organization falls short on several points. Because we regularly visit similar beach clubs, this one does not belong at the top of our list for the time being.

We really wanted to go here last weekend. You can only reserve sunbeds via the website if you are on the beach before 10:00 AM. We therefore didn't make a reservation because we didn't think we would make it. Arriving at 11:00 AM, we saw a lot of empty beds and wanted to rent one. That wasn't possible, because everything was reserved. Why put on your site that reservations are only possible until 10:00 AM then? Having a drink on the terrace was also no longer possible by 11:00 AM because all the tables were reserved. There were tables everywhere at that moment. A peculiar system and very disappointing. Fortunately, there are other nice beach clubs where you could just have a drink on the terrace and rent a sunbed.

You arrive at all empty tables and they say we are full, so I say yes, I see. And totally unfriendly and rude staff who are very rude. Never again (you aren't missing anything by not going there).

The entire terrace was half empty. After a 30-minute wait, they said: People who haven't reserved can leave. Meanwhile, the receptionist called the manager? "Yes, I want to give your sister a lounge bed…." Anyway, I filed a complaint. The argument was: "No, even if the terrace is half empty, you cannot drink a single cappuccino." We want to give our customers an experience. Failed. I am from Wassenaar. Bloomingdale has really become lousy.

It really took an eternity before we were helped. Clearly no direction, no system; it has potential, but it's a shame that no attention is being paid to training the staff and setting up a proper system. Nice new building, though.

Nice place, a bit over the top, and don't order ‘complicated, good-looking sangrias with prosecco’..... Lots of ice, lots of water, and no flavor, but nice and expensive.....

Very rude staff. Was told we could only reserve lounge bed till 10am after which you would lose your reservation, so we didn’t. When we arrived at 10:25am we were told all lounge beds were reserved, there were at least 15 empty. When I asked when they would release them they said they would keep them reserved until people showed up. When I asked why they told me different he said he didn’t care.

Terrible service. The staff do not come across as hospitable at all, rather rude. We had to wait an incredibly long time for our food. When I got home, I also saw dishes on the bill that we hadn't ordered at all. To be honest, that feels like pure rip-off.

Just before Zandvoort and the DTM race, and to escape a shower, we stopped at the beach club. We're now enthusiastic customers. Clearly, they still value their customers here, because this beach club surpasses everything we've visited so far in Germany, the Netherlands, or Belgium. The guests are pleasant people. The staff are exemplary. Both cakes were beautifully presented... but the crumble lacked that special something for five stars. Nevertheless, I recommend the apple cake.

We went to Beachclub Bloemendale. The restaurant itself is very richly and tastefully decorated, with a beautiful and harmonious color palette. The staff was very friendly. The starter was served quickly. It looked nice, but I cannot say that the taste was refined. The bread and aioli were very tasty, with a crispy crust, but the Pan con Tomate was soft instead of crispy, and the tomatoes tasted like bland greenhouse vegetables. The main course, the Garlic Noodles, consisted of thin vermicelli with few vegetables that was completely drenched in soy sauce. Without the shrimp, it would have been pure deception. They would have been better off making regular Italian spaghetti. The entire tuna dish was almost cold and not served on hot plates. You could say: it may be a beach restaurant, but for such a chic place with such prices, they really should have polished up the menu a bit.

Bloomingdale is a nice beach club with a well-maintained appearance and a pleasant, relaxed atmosphere. It is a neat location where you can easily spend an entire day at the beach. The food is fine, but not particularly special — more functional than culinarily distinctive. All in all, primarily a cozy place to relax by the beach and enjoy the setting.

It's a real shame, it has become a really nice place in terms of ambiance. We were also warmly welcomed, and the staff were super friendly. But the food is bizarrely bad. The (gluten-free) carpaccio sandwich for €15 was nothing more than 2 slices of white bread with 2 slices of carpaccio thrown on top. The Chicken Katsu also lacked any love. A waste, because it has a lot of potential.
