Cozy ambiance, service-oriented, delicious food with a good wine and a beautiful view. We will definitely do this more often.

Honestly, we can't quite understand the many negative reviews here. We ate here four times during our six-day stay and had consistently positive experiences. We never once had to wait an hour for our food, and we can't confirm the criticisms about the quality at all – quite the opposite, in fact. The food was absolutely delicious on each of our four visits! Compared to last year, you can clearly see that things have changed. The kitchen puts in a lot of effort, the dishes are wonderfully prepared, and we thoroughly enjoyed every single one. The service is also very pleasant and friendly, so we felt comfortable every time. Yes, sometimes you have to wait a little longer for the food. But with children, this is easily resolved: We simply ordered the children's meals at the same time as our drinks order. This way, they arrived relatively quickly, and the little ones didn't have to sit at the table hungry. It wasn't a problem for us at all. All in all, we were completely satisfied and thoroughly enjoyed our visits. Five stars from us – we'll definitely be back!

We were here a few years ago. It was much better then. Now we wouldn't recommend it. It's better to walk 5 minutes towards the beach; there are better shops there. Besides, the mini-golf course is rather mediocre. The course is poorly maintained, causing the ball to bounce erratically. There's also sand, leaves, pine needles, and cones on the fairways...

Unfortunately, I had the same experience as the previous reviewer. The menu is unsuitable and offers too little choice. The wait was far too long for two small items. We just wanted a quick lunch and were there for an hour and a half! The two people in the kitchen were cleaning up and seemingly taking a break during that time. Our food sat around forever. The sandwich wasn't a sandwich at all, but a baguette with a little bit of topping, and it was overpriced. When the probably untrained waitress noticed our displeasure, she rudely remarked that it would take longer because they had a large group of eight people. Oh dear. That really made us feel cheated, and she could have told us that beforehand. She also should have mentioned that they were serving dinner at lunchtime. She even gave me dirty looks! That place needs to close down and be replaced with something more suitable!

A very inflexible "restaurant." Pizza only for takeout?! Lots of excuses for lots of strange situations. They seem to distrust their customers. (They split the bill.) The young man who served us, however, was very friendly and tried to mask the restaurant's shortcomings with charm and humor.

The portions were like something a toddler would eat. They weren't even close to filling. The server finally arrived after 40 minutes and took our order, meaning we didn't get our food until two hours later. If the restaurant had been full, maybe we could have overlooked it, but the finished food sat at the front for ages and wasn't brought to the tables because the servers were doing everything but serving. Everyone else who arrived after us had already received their food an hour earlier. For the price, the portion was outrageous; I don't even want to know how big a child's portion is – probably just a crumb. We were told that the food doesn't usually take two hours to reach our table, but I've read about this problem in 99% of the reviews here. As compensation, we received a 20% discount on our two 0.2-liter drinks, saving a whopping €1.50, but it didn't give us back our two hours of wasted time.

Better to avoid it. We sat in the restaurant for ages but weren't served. Around 8:10 pm, we went over to the attached takeaway. Despite the kitchen being open until 9 pm, they didn't have any pizza left for takeaway. They were only serving fried food. A real pain with hungry kids. The restaurant was practically empty, and so was the takeaway... what a shame.

I went out for dinner here with my friends and it was a truly amazing experience. The quality of the food was very good! I live in a busy city myself, so it was lovely to escape the hustle and bustle for a while, enjoy the beautiful surroundings, and savor the delicious dishes. The staff was very friendly, the menu is extensive, and the location is top-notch. I will definitely be back here again!

What a lovely spot in the dunes at the campsite. The linens and food were really tasty to share, and the kids entertained themselves in the big sand hill/playground.

We had to wait over an hour for two pizzas. Yes, it was busy, but still far from sufficient, and our order was wrong twice. Since the children were very hungry, we also ordered a single meatball. This was supposed to be ready in two minutes, but it took 30 minutes. The pizzas are good, but the wait isn't worth it.

We thought, "Let's go out for a nice meal." The restaurant apparently thought, "Let's see how long we can ignore our customers." Arrival: 7:15 p.m. We immediately ordered food for our son—after all, children aren't known for their patience. The food actually arrived… at 8:30 p.m. A full 75 minutes for a children's meal. Our food took even longer and didn't arrive until 9:00 p.m. The culinary highlight? The mini-burgers. Although "highlight" is a bit of an understatement. The burger buns were so hard they could have been used as paving stones. The meat had about as much in common with a smash burger as frozen pizza has with Italian haute cuisine. Taste-wise, the whole thing was simply a disaster. And then the prices: For these tiny portions and this quality, they are an absolute outrage. The concept seems to be: wait a long time, get little, and eat badly. If that was the idea—congratulations, it was executed perfectly. Especially if families are supposed to be welcome, this is a disgrace. To the owner: Perhaps invest less time in trendy concepts and instead learn how to serve good, honest food. Down-to-earth cuisine of reasonable quality would be a huge improvement. Currently, the restaurant seems to be living more off marketing than the food. For me personally, this was by far one of the worst restaurant experiences ever. I can only advise against eating here – unless you have three hours to spare, like dry bread, and are willing to pay a hefty price for disappointment.

Good restaurant for a campsite. The takeaway pizza was very tasty.

We've been coming to this campsite for years and have always been satisfied with the restaurant. Yesterday: Poor service, bad food, dirty. It took over two hours for our food to arrive, even though the menu was significantly reduced. The food was awful; the pasta was missing sauce, the "smoked beetroot" was simply sliced ​​up from a supermarket package, the drinks took over an hour, and the glasses were dirty. The entire restaurant was filthy. There was sauce splattered on the counter that wasn't cleaned up all evening, etc. This completely ruins the overall impression of what is otherwise a great campsite. Dear De Lakens Management: Please change this!

Good place to stay with the children.

Despite having a reservation, there wasn't a single clean table available. Tables were smeared with food scraps, and the floor was in the same state. The cutlery was already laid out on the table, and you could watch people coming and going, touching everything, and leaving again. The cutlery reflected this. The service was very friendly, but it wasn't what one would call service. The food itself was fresh, hot, and tasty. So, it's more like a dingy chip shop in the dunes, not suitable for a pleasant evening, but rather a last resort if you want something hot. Perhaps takeout is a better option. Trying takeout four days later, the wait for two pizzas was abysmal. It really wasn't busy, yet it still took over 40 minutes. The ordering area is also where the food is prepared and packaged. There's no separation between the two areas. This naturally leads to children (who simply don't know any better) and some adults feeling the need to get their hands on things. The hygiene standards are therefore just as questionable as in a restaurant.

Perhaps we had overly high expectations, especially since this place is marketed as the campsite's hotspot. The decor looks nice and the staff were friendly in themselves, but genuine hospitality was lacking. Despite it being high season and the weather being very nice, the terrace was closed. The food in the restaurant was fine, but in our opinion, far too expensive for the quality and portion sizes. The next day, we played Dunegolf. It is a fun concept, but 3 of the 16 holes were broken or barely playable. For €30 for two adults and a young child, you would expect everything to be well-maintained. When we pointed this out, the response was unfortunately very unprofessional. We were told that she "didn't come to the course every day either" and that we "should be glad that 13 holes were working." No solution was offered. Eventually, we asked ourselves if our son could at least get a soft ice cream. This was done reluctantly, and the reaction felt as if she wanted to say: "Are you happy now?" Instead of understanding or customer friendliness, we were actually given the feeling that we were being a nuisance. That was perhaps the most disappointing part of all. Later, I ran into the same employee again at the takeaway. There, too, any form of hospitality was lacking; a simple greeting or "please" was barely forthcoming. In itself, perhaps a small detail, but combined with the previous experience, it confirmed the lack of customer friendliness for us. The takeaway pizzas were a major disappointment. They were undercooked, had a very simple tomato sauce, and were not worth the price. Additionally, the pickup method is old-fashioned; you are given a pager and then have to wait for about twenty minutes. That could be done much more easily these days. All in all, we felt the price-quality ratio was completely out of proportion. It is a real shame, because in terms of appearance, this place has tremendous potential. With a bit more attention to maintenance, service, and hospitality, it could really be an asset to the campsite. Unfortunately, we do not recommend it.

Nice restaurant with ample space for kids play.

We're staying at the campsite for a week. We arrived on Tuesday. The website states that during the week, the regular snack service is available every day from 12 pm to 8 pm. On weekends (Fri-Sun), the restaurant is supposed to operate normally. On Thursday, we wanted to get pizza for the first time. We were told there was only a limited menu and no snacks because they were cleaning. So we ordered à la carte. As we were leaving, we asked again about pizza. We were told that normal service would resume the following day. On Friday, there was no pizza again. On Saturday, I asked around 5 pm. I was told they had pizza. We left an hour later. At the register, we were again told that there was no pizza. We won't be going there again because the service is simply poor. Even with the à la carte option, we had to wait a long time for our food. It was still very tasty, but it's a shame that they don't adhere to their stated opening hours.

Takeaway snack at: A disappointment year after year; it takes hours, the quality is mediocre, and the pizzas fall short of store-brand frozen. No toppings on it, even though they are on the menu. No basil, no arugula, no oregano. It takes more than 1.5 hours to pick up a pizza. Poor management and cut a chance for such a beautiful location! I would love to take it over for a week to show how it can be done right. A bit of love, a bit of quality, good management, speed, and hospitality! Sorry guys, I love you, but really below par (again). See you next year, new round, new opportunities

I always try to write my reviews as realistically as possible and focus on the positives, but what I experienced today was unlike anything I've ever encountered in the Netherlands. It's worth mentioning that I'm among the top 10% of Google reviewers for restaurants. The ambiance is nice, no doubt, but even the complimentary carafe of water at the beginning couldn't compensate for the abysmal service and the abysmal quality of the food. And how could it? We were there with our almost two-year-old daughter, so before ordering, I asked how long it would take for our food to arrive. I was told 20-30 minutes. An hour later, the food finally arrived. I ordered a double smash burger for €16.50 and an extra order of fries with mayo and corn on the cob (€6.50). The extra fries for my daughter were simply forgotten, which I can only rate positively in retrospect, as the other fries were still raw inside. The burger was an absolute disgrace, about the size of a McDonald's hamburger. The taste was bland in every way, from the meat and sauce to the industrially produced, cardboard-like bun. The corn on the cob was okay, but nothing special. Just a fried, quartered ear of corn. The only thing that was actually tasty was the dip. When I paid, I voiced my displeasure, and at least the restaurant kindly waived the €11 charge for two 0.25l shandies. As nice as the campsite is, the restaurant 'Gestrand' is just as bad.

Incredibly poor "service"! We've been waiting an hour for a salad and had to search for staff beforehand. I don't normally write reviews, but perhaps management will react to the 100 one-star reviews and change something.

We booked the breakfast buffet today and were pleasantly surprised. Based on previous reviews, we didn't have high expectations, but we can rate everything as excellent. A wide selection (especially if you don't like sausage anyway), everything was replenished, and the service was very friendly. The bread was fresh and crusty, the cinnamon rolls were delicious, and there was fresh scrambled eggs, pancakes, various muesli options, fresh fruit and vegetables including avocado, and much more. We found the price-performance ratio to be absolutely fair, especially since drinks were included. We'll definitely be back!

I ordered and paid for food, but then the wrong thing was delivered. When I inquired, they offered no compensation or refund. The online menu was outdated, and they only offered frozen dough, not fresh. This wasn't justified by the price. The taste was okay.

Offering 5 pizzas online, then only offering 4 when ordering, is already bad enough. Then, to be told that the online prices don't match the prices in the restaurant suggests laziness in maintaining the website. But then not mentioning that buffalo mozzarella pizzas were no longer available when ordering 11 is outrageous. Only when we picked up the pizza did we receive the vegetarian option, and when we complained, we were simply told it was because they were out of them. Nevertheless, we were charged the full €18 per pizza, even though the vegetarian one only costs €15. It's simply a joke. I strongly advise against using their service. We were a party of 24 (adults plus children).

I had a burger with fries, which was very tasty. The service was friendly. Everything was freshly prepared.

Incredibly bad and ridiculously overpriced food. Even the fries were dry and tasted like cardboard. You have to admire the awfulness to achieve that. The goat cheese with beetroot (€10.50) was also tasteless. I couldn't finish any of it. A truly expensive experience! 😬

Usual Dutch service. I asked if I could have a coffee and was told that the service was closed until 12h and that only (crappy) machine coffee was available, while serving at the same time at the table other Dutch custumers. I was with a baby and a pram, getting the (crappy) coffee in one hand and holding the pram with the other. When I saw the other custumers, I asked for a proper coffee after that and they gave me one, but did not explain why I was treated differently.

We came as visitors for an afternoon and evening at the playground and the restaurant. I do not recognize the first reviews written about the service and portions at all! It was top-notch; everyone on the staff was friendly, came by the table often to clear the table and check if everything was to our liking. The shared dining menu is full of delicious dishes. Kudos to Sepp from the service staff; he was very attentive.

In 2025, the restaurant had four vegan options. This year it’s just a starter and the possibly to turn some side dishes into vegan ones. I always find it disappointing when restaurants develop their philosophy backwards.

Opening hours are wrong. Everything is only open until 8 pm. Great for late arrivals. Drink prices are outrageous! €7.50 for a 0.5-liter beer at a campsite!! As already mentioned, this can't be called a restaurant, but more like a snack bar with seating.

The restaurant is only open until 8 pm during the off-season and offers a limited menu. Despite only two tables being occupied, the service was poor: cutlery was brought after the meal and simply placed in the middle of the table without a napkin. Wine was poured from the bottle into our still-full glasses at the table, with the amount being estimated rather haphazardly. The prices are very high for what you get. The pizza was like a child's pizza, but it was tasty! The smashburger was a cheeseburger in a slightly burnt, but cold, bun. It tasted good nonetheless! The fries were, in my opinion, too cold. In conclusion: opening hours, service, and value for money all need improvement.

I really wanted to grab a quick bite to eat for an hour, but I had to buy a day pass for €13 right away, so I just drove away. So, I can't tell you anything about the food.

The food was fantastic!! The atmosphere was great. When you walk in, it's quite noisy. But the acoustics in the restaurant are completely different, much more relaxed and peaceful. I ordered my salami pizza at 6:59 p.m. and finally picked it up at 7:53 p.m. (!). For one pizza. Almost an hour. And it wasn't that busy. When I asked at 6:41 p.m., they explained that there were a lot of orders, which meant everything was taking longer. But my pizza was in the oven right now. True, there were a lot of orders – but many of them AFTER ME! I think my order got lost. That can happen, but then they admit it and don't try to fool the already annoyed customer. The ambiance is quite nice. Unfortunately, because of the open-kitchen concept, the whole place stinks strongly of frying oil. Similar to a chip shop. But you probably wouldn't want to sit there for long and eat comfortably. By the way, the salami pizza costs €14.50 and is about the size of a children's pizza. You can tell by the pizza box. I certainly won't be coming back.

I can't recommend it to anyone. I had a salami pizza (since there weren't enough tables for one person in the à la carte area in the back). I would have liked a wine with it, but since the wine is served in small bottles and I don't drink red wine from a bottle (since my request for a glass was denied), I opted for an iced tea from a can. The pizza is served in a pizza box; I asked for plates and cutlery. I was given cutlery, although it was disposable and made of wood and not suitable for a pizza, but I was given some. They refused to give me a plate. I actually wanted to have a leisurely evening meal and a glass of wine to end the day. If you also want to end the day with a leisurely meal, I recommend you go somewhere else. As for the pizza itself, it really wasn't good; I would give it a 4/10.

A beautiful location, ideal for families. The concept is well-conceived. Large playground and an indoor play area. I personally found most of the equipment, such as the long slide, dangerous for children, especially those under 8; it almost flies off the track. There are some fun water features, though. We sat outside on the terrace to keep a close eye on the kids, but ordering food and drinks was very unclear. I checked the website beforehand and got the impression that you could also enjoy food at the playground terrace. However, this isn't the case if you sit on the outdoor playground terrace; you have to order upstairs at the takeaway kiosk, and the menu is limited. So, if you sit inside the restaurant, you do have a wide variety of food to order. I think €28 for a pastry, two coffees, and three kids' drinks is still quite expensive if I have to order and serve myself. It would be helpful if there were a QR code on the tables somewhere that you could order directly, or if it was indicated somewhere that you have to order inside. Parking at €12.50 is still quite a lot, in my opinion. After an hour we also went to a beach bar on Zandvoort.

A nice beer here, wild land. A bit of honey and other things... highly recommended! Lovely terrace right on the beach and far away from busy Zandvoort. Wonderful.

The breakfast is vegetarian, so there are no meat products in the sense of cold cuts or anything similar, but there are no real alternatives offered either. There were two types of semi-hard cheese, several types of jam, sticky cornflakes and pancakes, and small, hard mini rolls. A small selection of bread and crispbread. The highlight was the mediocre scrambled eggs, fruit salad, and a smoothie. A real disappointment. When I took several slices of cheese, I received a warning look. There is hot water for tea and coffee from the jug. The staff was otherwise very friendly and helpful. In terms of taste and selection, it was one of the worst breakfast experiences I've ever had, especially considering the price of just under €20. The only thing we really liked here was the room and the fantastic view of the dunes. At most, grab a drink and enjoy the view. We absolutely don't recommend the breakfast buffet.

I had a wonderfully relaxing time enjoying dirty chai and gyoza! The snack and lunch menu is excellent! It's a great place to relax with kids (who can play in the playground) or alone after a morning at the beach or before! They have generous kitchen hours, for example, with the snack menu starting at noon and the lunch menu until 3:30 PM. The attentive, young staff were fantastic.

A lovely, relaxed, and atmospheric restaurant. A new, excellent menu and excellent service; a varied selection for all ages. Single courses or small dishes. We experienced prompt and good service from the, in my opinion, well-meaning students :-) We were completely surprised and thoroughly enjoyed our first day camping at De Lakens!

Horrible: a pack of four croquettes! They could have just gone in one small bag. bad for a nature campsite that says they care about the environment. and mega expensive! 14 euros for 4 small snacks. Stop the ridiculous packaging. You'll not only save the environment but also money. Then prices can come down, which will be good for the environment.

Nice restaurant at Camping De Lakens. We had table 84, which had the longest sunlight on the outdoor terrace. The service was efficient and attentive. The music is a bit weaker, but understand that around 6 p.m. it's "kids' time" 😉. Lounge music would also be great, as it has that atmosphere, especially on sunny days.

Nice place, but service could be better. We had a nice, efficient lady who understood what service means. But that wasn't the case with some of our colleagues. We were given beer (not ice cold) when we asked for non-alcoholic beer. Later, my husband got non-alcoholic beer when he actually wanted beer! And his espresso didn't arrive at all. The food was okay, but the hamburger buns are bigger than the hamburger itself.

We had a delicious meal today at this beautifully situated restaurant. The staff is well-maintained and friendly, and it's definitely worth a try!

Very well cared for, also for the children

Restaurant stranded, I understand why they called it that. There's nothing else... But, all in all, I managed to enjoy a delicious gluten-free croquette. Other friends had a burger, which was quite pricey and, I quote, "like cat food on a bun." The fries were a mix of hot and cold, but I live in the Netherlands and I'm used to that by now. Fickle, just like the weather here. P.S. The mayo was excellent.

Have you tried to come with kids and eat something ? Pizza can be ordered in one part of the Restorent, and drinks for adults and normal meal - only in another side. So, if you come with kids, you can’t eat normally. You need to eat pizza with kids on a son and then move to the ‘luxury’ part of the restaurant. Please think about visitors!

We tried the gyoza, tomato soup, the burger and the apple pie. Everything was so tasty and delicious! The presentation is also really nice. And the whole staff was so friendly :) We'll definitively come again!

Unfortunately, I didn't have a good experience at the Gestrand restaurant at De Lakens campsite. On the weekend, the pizza selection was extremely limited – there simply wasn't enough for everyone. Waiting times were very long, sometimes over an hour, despite the limited selection. The cleanliness also leaves a lot to be desired – I would rate it 3-4 (out of 10). The prices are completely exorbitant and completely unjustified. It's a shame, because the location and ambiance actually have a lot of potential.

We went to the breakfast buffet in the restaurant, and for €19.50 per person, we were hoping for something better than what we got. 1. There were only two types of cheese and no sausage or spread. 2. The rolls were more like party rolls. 3. The coffee was only lukewarm from a thermos. 4. The waiter was walking around in sweatpants, which didn't make a good impression. 5. The juices weren't labeled, and you had to ask specifically what was in each carafe. 6. Service was almost nonexistent in the morning; plates weren't picked up until after you left. 7. The ambiance itself was very nice with the dune landscape, but the atmosphere inside was very cold. It was so quiet that there wasn't even quiet music playing in the background. Overall, it was just very, very stripped down. There wasn't a good selection, and for the money, I'm used to more than that.

The food was very bad I had: Flemish stew: this came from a can and was really not tasty, I also shared a burger with someone was also really not tasty the meat was tough and the burger sauce was just a kind of bbq sauce from a squeeze bottle and then they charge €21,- for a burger. We also ate here a few years ago and then the menu was more extensive and the food much better. I would not eat here again!!!!

Had our breakfast at the restaurant this morning. Super nice location overlooking nature. Breakfast was only very limited. There was no meat, no boiled egg and there were mainly 'fatty' products. Full-fat spreadable cheese, full-fat butter, scrabble egg, cheese and full-fat yogurt. In addition, sweet toppings. But really missed some lean products and a savoury topping choice in general. This was only full-fat spreadable cheese, cheese or scrabble egg.

Yes, this is really fun with children. Of course, it is also possible without children, but you might get some strange looks on the slide. Then you might be better off eating something and then going for a walk.

Nice location, but what poor service. Unfriendly, inattentive, inconsistent. Inside, 1 of our tables will be given away. 1 says you can sit outside if something becomes available, the other says we are not allowed to take a table. Finally we go outside, we grab the table and we get a sneer. We have just ordered a drink, 1 second later we are asked to leave the terrace within 15 minutes because of dinner, this had not been said before. Carpaccio was frozen, bread was old. Not a little bit of decoration on the plates. Service kept bringing food/drinks from other tables.

Very nice location with large panoramic windows that allow a view of the dune landscape. Delicious food and really nice and attentive staff. We can recommend the fish & chips! We felt very comfortable!

Dramatic food. Salad is a mountain of lettuce from a bag. Club sandwich made from cheap ingredients. Below all standards. Regardless of the services and the waiting time. As if they were open for the first day. By the way, this is now the 3rd time. This was the last time.

Ate at the counter.... Got a raw burger, margarita pizza was just a cheese pizza that tastes like paper. Fries were not bad but go somewhere else!!!

Actually those 5 stars go to the two amazing people that serve the breakfast buffet in the mornings. I stayed in a backpackshack for 3 nights and especially those 2 (Spanish?) people, the woman with the long brown hair and the man with the ponytail, made my mornings! They are so friendly, loving and thoughtful! I felt a very warm and present energy, they really like their jobs. Thanks again for those lovely mornings from the girl with the fresh mint tea (he’ll know) ;)

Been waiting for my food for 40 minutes, first waited 20 minutes for the drink and after waiting 40 minutes they come and tell me that the food is not there👎🏻

Just had a horrible experience. I came to the restaurant and ordered food. The young waitresses stopped my ordered and asked to eat at the bar. They were extremely rude. They did not talk to me before cancelling the order! Just ordered their cashier to cancel my order. Walking away I heard them calling me bad names. Me and my kids have been enjoying this place for years. Its first time I confronted this sort of rudeness! Somebody should really pay attention what kind people they employ into the customer service!

The restaurant is very conveniently located on the campsite. Furnishings are functional and harmonious. The service was quick, drinks and food were taken and served quickly. BUT: we ordered the burger twice. Unfortunately, one of these burgers was still almost raw. When asked about this, the only response was that this was normal and not another suggestion or withdrawal. When paying, I was asked again if everything was OK. When asked about the burger again, the reply was “But otherwise everything was fine”. Here too, neither a small apology nor any other accommodation. On the second day we decided to go out for something to eat in Haarlem. So I can't recommend the restaurant. Too bad

The portions were good and you were full. Something for everyone. Also vegan and vegetarian. Closes relatively early in the evening.

Nice location at a campsite. Food was limited. The map was wrong. What we ate was good. Friendly and good service. It is fantastic for small children.

Cozy atmosphere. Ordered breakfast. For €19.50 this was reasonable. But what is incomprehensible is the disgusting coffee that is served with it! Coffee from a thermos. And all this while they have an extensive coffee machine! But that's not part of breakfast!

I didn't order a la carte but there is also a kind of chip shop in the front area with typical Dutch dishes such as Dutch meatballs, fries and pizza. The ambience is awesome! You can also take food with you.

Nice location but we waited 2.5 hours for food. No one came to the terrace and kept making promises that the food was coming but it never came. Staff also became irritated when we asked what time the food came. Understand it was busy but the restaurant was half empty and no one ever walked by. Too bad, because it is a beautiful place, but we will not be back here anytime soon.

Beautiful location, hence 1 star. Furthermore, 1 major disaster. It took almost 20 minutes and a bursitis to attract the attention of the staff, who were there enough, but were mainly busy with each other. We were finally helped with the order at 2 o'clock. The drinks took more than 15 minutes to arrive, the 2 carpacio sandwiches (ordered at the same time as the tonic) took an hour to arrive. After an hour we asked if everything went well with our order, ehh yes, the sandwiches are now coming out of the oven. 25 minutes later still no sandwiches. We have now decided to cancel our order. This was explained to the staff, who were mainly concerned with asking us to understand their situation, too busy, misjudged again, too few staff, too little purchased, etc. When I said I had no understanding for that, because they If we could have made this known in advance and given us the choice of whether or not to eat there, the tone became extremely unfriendly. We were also asked to wish them a nice day. And even shouted: I said have a nice day! Very unprofessional. If I had read the reviews on both Google and Tripadisor, I would have chosen a different restaurant. Complaints have been known to management for a long time, but nothing is done about them!

Had a great experience! Fast service, lovely staff, great food and nice atmosphere. It’s amazing how quick service was especially with the storm outside and people coming in quickly. Thank you!!! ♥️

We arrived at the restaurant and found ourself in a chaos of service stuff. We were waiting because we didn't know if we had to be seated or if we could just seat ourselves. No one even tried to communicate with us or greet us to help us through. When we finally were able to get through to one of the service stuff members, we were told we could sit wherever. Fine. That's no problem, we found a nice table but for the first 30 minutes no one came to even give us the menus or ask for drinks. So first of all I had to find menus myself, second of all we were missing two chairs and after asking the service if they could get us some more they said that they didn't have any more (so two of us were standing the whole time and no one even cared to ask). So second of all I had to go and find us more chairs, which I achieved by simply asking some of the guests if they're using all of their chairs. Then another 30 minutes passed and still no one asking us if we wanted to drink or eat something. So I had to get up again and find someone to take our orders. The service girl was obviously overwhelmed by our questions and wishes. She couldn't even answer the question if it was allowed to smoke here or if she could tell us if there is a smoking area somewhere. She didn't know. Then we waited another 30 minutes for our drinks to arrive and another hour for the food. As the food arrived one of our burgers were missing cheese so the service took it back in - whatever, mistakes happen but it was just one thing after the other. Then the food was absolutely terrible. The meat on all of our burgers was so raw that it wasn't even warm. We ordered one pizza for our 6 year old child and it was so spicy that even myself was struggling to eat it. How can you sell spicy pizza on the kids menu? The glasses of our drinks were dirty. The service didn't seem to care about us even though there were enough people working. Saldy a very bad experience which is a pity because this could've been a paradise for kids and for their parents if the service and food would improve. We won't come again.

Although there was actually nothing left available, we were still able to get a small table for two. Drinks came very quickly (contrary to all the negative reviews here). The food didn't take long to arrive either. Staff was very friendly, despite the hectic pace (Formula 1 weekend). However, I deducted one star for the food. On the one hand because the burger menu can't cost 20 euros and the burger is too much of a show than a burger. There was no sauce, the bullet was lumpy in the middle, and the rösti irritated me a bit. Visually definitely great, but in terms of eating behavior it's too much of a show. Overall, however, it must be said that this is my feeling and everyone has to decide for themselves. But I can and must just leave a recommendation to eat there! Gladly again

Had to wait 30 minutes for 2 fries and 2 frikadellen. Free parking for 1 hour, otherwise 12.50 for the whole day. Very nice playground with water and sand. The food is tasty. But as far as I'm concerned, not recommended

A beautiful place with a cool playground. Especially for children who are slightly older and direct supervision is no longer necessary. Unfortunately, due to terribly unfriendly service, we ordered the food and left. It would have been an inexperienced and young holiday worker.

You can't even speak of service. Extremely long waiting times for drinks and food. The food we ordered was brought to 3 wrong tables and then back to the kitchen. It wasn't until we pointed out that it was actually intended for us (luckily we saw that) that we eventually received it. It really tasted good. But that couldn't make up for the overall poor overall impression. So clearly not a recommendation, it's a shame.

Top tent at the campsite. Relaxed atmosphere and delicious food and drinks. Bitterballen were delicious ☺️
