Beautiful location, atmospheric business. It's a shame that the friendly, young staff pay more attention to each other and therefore don't do much. When they are there, they are friendly. A few professional people would make a world of difference.

After waiting an hour and a half for our food, we left... Despite our reservation, we were placed in a cramped spot between two tables. The tables were dirty and there was no menu. It took a long time for someone to take our order, and finally, after an hour of waiting, the food hadn't even been delivered. Our order was rushed to the kitchen, but after half an hour, nothing had arrived, and the table still hadn't been cleaned. We left to eat elsewhere. Drinks were on the house, but unfortunately, it wasn't a pleasant experience.

What a difference from the past. The playground is fun for the little ones. The organization and staffing could be better.

Delicious food and good atmosphere!

The QR codes on the tables (outside) didn't work. It happens, but the waitstaff clearly didn't feel like working or thinking. You ordered a latte macchiato with sugar, forgot the sugar, asked for it, and then they had to go inside to get it, and then didn't think you also wanted a spoon, which ended up being too small.

The atmosphere is great. The service is perfect.

The place remains beautiful, but it's a bit run down. It's a bit of a mess. The playground is great for playing around, but please put the tables and chairs back in order, tidy up as soon as people leave, put a cloth over the table, and don't leave menus and other trash on the floor. The food also deserves a little more attention, as does the coffee. Bacon and cheese pancakes were undercooked, salty, and the cheese was nowhere to be found. The flat white oatmeal was just strong coffee with a 2mm layer of foam. So come on, Kraantje Lek. It's not rocket science.

The three-course winter menu was a great success with our guests. Thank you for the friendly service!

Last Sunday I celebrated my birthday at the Tuighuis with lunch. The atmosphere is fantastic. The fire was burning nicely, and two helpful guys were helping out at the bar. It's highly recommended.

A very pleasant place to eat overall. The location of the various dining rooms makes the service a bit challenging. But when they're there, the service is good.

A wonderful place to go with small children. Nice terrace and delicious cappuccino.

The food is pricey, small portions, and unfortunately, the quality is highly variable. The soup wasn't warm anymore, with skin on it, the lettuce was brown, the pancakes were tasty but expensive, the syrup was gone, the service was really poor, unfriendly and inattentive, and the drinks arrived long after the food arrived.

Sat for half an hour without any staff taking orders. Staff who were late were running around like headless chickens. But I went to a different terrace.

The meeting at the Tuighuis was perfectly organized by Kraantje Lek. Everyone was happy with the lunch, and the communication was quick and clear. Highly recommended.

Friendly and helpful staff, charming, small restaurant in a wooded setting. We had a delicious lunch for 23 people. The dishes were freshly prepared and generous portions. We had slices with bread and salad. The starter was tomato soup. Even the wines and beers were delicious. The playground for the kids was really great!

Celebrated my birthday here at the Tuighuis (private area). Delicious food! Friendly and attentive service. We had a wonderful time. The children had a great time playing in the playground and enjoying pancakes, while the adults enjoyed drinks and a delicious BBQ!

The food was excellent, and the staff were very friendly. Prices were reasonable.

We celebrated our wedding at Tuighuis. We had a fantastic evening! Kraantje Lek prepared everything perfectly, and the waitstaff was fantastic throughout the evening! Tuighuis is perfect for a party of around 70 people. It's a very atmospheric space. The snacks were also delicious. In short, we're so glad we celebrated our wedding at Kraantje Lek!

We went for lunch on a Saturday afternoon. There were many families with little children as was to be expected. Menu card is pretty good, meal delivery time is reasonable and so are prices. Food was good. All in all good value. We would return but instead of using the car we'll bike to it.

The food and atmosphere were perfect. We were given a cheese fondue for four people, including bread and vegetables, so we had to ask for service several times. They didn't even come back to ask if we wanted more drinks or if everything was okay. Let's just say it was busy. The food was really excellent (schnitzel, pork stew, cheese fondue).

What a lovely place to celebrate! The preparations and the discussions were pleasant; they were very helpful. The party was well-organized, and we had a wonderful time. Kudos to the friendly staff!

Delicious pancakes in a traditional setting and fun for the kids to enjoy themselves on the climbing dune.

The food is excellent, the location is beautiful, and the atmosphere is very pleasant. However, the service is extremely poor. A 20-minute wait for a drink is the rule rather than the exception. And having to pay an extra €4.50 on your Social Deal 3-course dinner of your choice for a bacon and cheese pancake is ridiculous. It's not mentioned anywhere, so it's pure fraud. No tip. Not deserved.

Dutch bar food with limited options wouldn't have me coming back but the location, seating and play area are absolutely wonderful.

A lovely location in Overveen, traditionally known for its high dune, hollow tree, and playground. Drinks are required if you use the playground.

As always, a nice playground and a friendly atmosphere. The price/quality of the food was very poor. Unfortunately, I didn't take a picture of the children's pancake; it was just apple slices covered in pancake batter, and it cost 9 euros!! (The menu said 6 euros, but apparently that was for a plain pancake). This unfortunately means my last lunch here.

We spent part of the morning at the Tuighuis with our team for a retreat. The space was very atmospheric and the perfect location for an inspiring session surrounded by nature. The communication beforehand and the service on the day itself were excellent, and everything was arranged for us. Highly recommended!

The atmosphere was great; we were able to have lunch outside. The lunch was delicious. Unfortunately, there were too many guests for the staff. They did their best, but it was too crowded.

Cool place were kids can play and the adults can have a drink and chill. Comfortable seating and close to the dunes for a walk.

The quality of the Hamburg was mediocre, and for €18.50 it was ridiculous, and you had to pay extra for fries as well. I won't be coming here again.

Our grandson thoroughly enjoyed playing. He had hours of fun, and we enjoyed him because he was having so much fun. We could also enjoy a snack and a drink without losing sight of him...very relaxing!

Ambivalent feelings about our Kraantje Lek experience. The decision to dine here was purely nostalgic, and Kraantje Lek is also fantastic fun with children. The playground has been renovated and is very nice, the rest of the outdoor area has also been updated with cozy seating areas all around, extra restrooms, and the seating area by the sand dune has also been renovated and offers many more seats. The food is great for children, with delicious pancakes and, of course, fries. In short, a great place to visit with children. If you don't—like us—do not, the menu is very limited and extremely pricey. The sirloin steak with fries was 26 euros. For this price, you had to order and pay for a salad separately. Furthermore, the shabby interior was filthy all around, with dirty tables that weren't cleared for next customers or when you sat down. There was a complete graveyard of dead flies and other corpses on the windowsill, which we eventually covered by covering the drinks menu with ours and the extremely dirty, grimy windows. The indoor restrooms were downright filthy, and I had to ask for toilet paper, which was absent from both restrooms, and was rewarded with a paper towel. The server was friendly enough, but after about 20 minutes, I decided to look for someone to at least order a drink from. Clearing tables was out of the question. This may be due to a lack of staff; I saw four people serving. However, in my opinion, there's no reason or need for the filth and the lack of cleanliness and basic hygiene. In short, definitely do it with children. Definitely don't do it with adults.

The server brought drinks and forgot to come back to ask for our food order. When re-ordering drinks another server just never came back with them and had to ask another staff member. Food and drinks overall were okay, but their salad dressing is overly salty and ruined the whole salad. I do recommend their sandwiches, very tasty.

The food was fine. Plates were delivered a bit bare (without salad or anything else). The staff was friendly and checked in regularly. Please note that parking is limited if you arrive by car.

Lovely spot, with a terrace on the left, where grandparents are babysitting and lots of children. On the right, there's a terrace for those who want to eat or drink in peace. Our neighbors enjoyed a delicious pancake, and we enjoyed an excellent hamburger and mackerel salad. Excellent service and the food arrived quickly.

A lovely restaurant to relax in. There's a fun playground for the kids on one side, and you can sit quietly on the other side of the restaurant. The service is friendly, and the food, or lunch, is delicious. The prices are reasonable.

Bad staff. Not customer-friendly. Wine glasses were poorly filled. Asked a dark-skinned man for an explanation, but he didn't respond. He might not speak Dutch well enough. Several people were very dissatisfied. We'll never come here again.

A nice place for the (grand)children and grandma and grandpa to stay

Upon arrival, the staff had to finish their own conversation before we were helped. Then it took them over 40 minutes to serve a lukewarm cheese fondue while there were only two other tables. They didn't ask us if we'd like a drink or if it was to our liking, and to top it all off, just as we were about to order dessert, they told us the kitchen was closed. It was only 7:20 PM. The food would surely taste better once the staff actually started working instead of just chatting.

Great! Lovely location, super friendly service, great for parents/grandparents who want to relax on a patio or eat, and children can enjoy the playground. The toilet is a bit of a drawback, but it could be better maintained.

Food: Apple pie with way too much cinnamon. Service: They returned several times with dishes they hadn't ordered. Ambience: Unfortunately, due to the bad weather, we were placed in a dark corner outside.

We enjoyed the lunch tasting. It was pleasant on the terrace. Unfortunately, we were bothered by a lot of wasps and sometimes smelled a strange odor, probably due to a drain and the heat? Luckily, we were able to continue eating inside; the staff was helpful in moving us.

The restaurant is right next door, with a very large playground and sandy beach. Very cozy. We had apple strudel and pancakes. The pancake was huge. Both were delicious and highly recommended.

We've been coming here for years, but since the takeover, things have gone downhill rapidly. The staff couldn't handle the number of guests, nor could the kitchen, and the bill was wrong. In short, a huge disappointment, even though we had a reservation! With the Tuighuis packed, several birthday parties, and beautiful weather, there weren't enough staff, and they were just using the only two restrooms (which were filthy). We didn't even eat, but the bill was over 200 euros!

Service was terrible. We waited for 15 min until we finally got the cards. Food was ok but the menu was quite small and also pricey compared to portion sizes.

Friendly staff, went for the nachos. For €13.50, not recommended. Pico de gallo that's not really pico de gallo and guacamole from a jar, not fresh. The wasps were unbearable. An average of three per table. It looked like there was a wasp nest. Every table was bothered by them this afternoon, as were the staff. For me, that's a reason not to sit on the patio here anymore. My child loves it, because of the fun playground.

The playground is great for kids, and there's a nice atmosphere among the visitors (mostly parents with children). Online ordering via QR code wasn't working, but the staff wasn't walking around either, and the tables were covered with empty glasses and plates, which attracted wasps. After half an hour inside, I spoke to someone and was able to order. She said they had turned off online ordering. The service could definitely be better... We finally managed to have some great pancakes and a soft drink.

I've been coming here since I was three. Now 77. And today, as always, it was a wonderful place to be. Friendly staff and delicious food.

The place is one of a kind in many ways. The service is great, the kids have lots to do and it's been maintained properly. I love that the kitchen is open until 20:00. The food is nice, full of flavour, can b spicy... It has a nice forest for walks next to it and free parking. I wish they would fix the water pamp already. The kids are very sad that it's not working properly...

Cozy location for small children and their parents and grandparents

Was always great but since new owner (unexpected!) a lot worse. Dirty terrace with cigarette butts everywhere, service that has completely out of control, wrong orders, bad coffee, mediocre quality food (how hard is it to clean strawberries properly?!), too high bill (about which discussion), etc. Nice playground for kids but otherwise……..

Parking is a bit of a challenge here. Especially on the weekends or a holiday. But it's a great spot to let kids run around and grab a bite.

Extremely bad service. If you hire young people, at least explain to them the basics of serving. Including removing dirty plates, glasses and cutlery. Literally every table outside is full of them and they don't look up or around. Making people wait fifteen minutes for an ice cream, orders incomplete or wrong, it was really bad. And if you make an irritated remark because you are asked 5 times in 30 seconds which ice cream you wanted, you get a smart-alecky 16-year-old who thinks she can put you in your place. However, the sand dune next door has even more talent.

The service was terrible. Only when we called did someone come to take our food order. The same thing happened after the meal. When we asked for the bill, we didn't see anyone for 25 minutes. We were the only ones sitting outside, and it started to drizzle. At some point, we put a fifty-pound coin under our glass, even though she didn't deserve the tip. The burger wasn't bad, but it wasn't great either. The pancakes were good.

After driving for half an hour there is no place to park. Too bad we could not park our car anywhere and unfortunately had to go back home. Real downer.

Unfortunately a big disappointment. The starter was still fine, but after that it only got worse: fries way too salty, steak tough, fatty and heavily over-seasoned. The strawberry sundae consisted of one chopped strawberry, and the coffee was so bitter that four sugar packets didn't help. The restaurant itself didn't look clean either, and to make matters worse there was a mouse running around the place. Not exactly the evening we were hoping for.
