A truly beautiful, peaceful, and relaxing place, ideal for a pleasant stay. The lobster bisque was divine, and the Caesar salad was delicious and very generous. The music was very pleasant. A wonderful place to remember. Well done to the whole team!

Received very good service today. And the host was also very busy. This tasty green tea and cola in a glass full of ice cubes was excellent. Delicious honey. I also ate there recently and I thought that was top-notch too! They also have good reading material. The other day, Aad sent me away without a valid reason. €6.50 for an alcohol-free beer. Rip-offs. A lad said: "It is quite busy." Didn't want to earn any money.

Beautiful place and delicious food. Also, plenty of choice for everyone. The staff could be a bit more welcoming; you get forgotten quickly. Even though it wasn't super busy, people who came to the terrace after us were served the same food we had ordered earlier.

I have eaten at this restaurant a few times with my good friend. It varies in terms of busyness, but there is always a spot for us! The staff is very friendly and helpful. This creates a very pleasant atmosphere. The food is tasty. The menu isn't very extensive, but on the other hand, you can enjoy a delicious meal and drinks here. They also cater to the children; there is a kids' menu available. Later in the evening, the music does get a bit louder. For me, that is a very minor downside, as I have to talk a little louder with my friend. I would definitely recommend people come and eat here! See you soon

I come here regularly with someone in a wheelchair. At the entrance, they immediately put down a ramp to make it easier to enter with the wheelchair. Delicious coffee and fresh apple pie.

My husband and I had dinner today. Unfortunately, we were disappointed. The bread was okay. The onion soup was good, but there was a hair in the bisque. They apologized, but nothing more. We ordered a cola, which was forgotten. Then the main course was satay ayam, which was fine, but not a particularly tasty marinade for our taste, but well, tastes differ. The burger was downright dry. We only ate a quarter of it. The bill was high: €88. If there's a hair in the food and the burger is barely eaten, I would at least offer a tea or coffee on the house. Anyway, we won't be back anytime soon.

We went for a delicious lunch for the second time. We made a reservation for six people, which was definitely necessary for this Sunday. The restaurant was well-attended, but the service was a bit slow, perhaps due to the well-known staffing issue. As a result, the customer service was a bit less than usual. One of them was rather snooty and exuded arrogance. It was a shame that the music was sometimes loud or soft, making it impossible to hear what was playing. It was very busy, making it difficult to hear each other at the table during a normal conversation.

Lunch at Locael in Bloemendaal. The ambiance is fantastic. The service is good, friendly, and attentive. My companion had two Holtkamp croquettes on bread, and I had a club sandwich with chicken, a fried egg, and curry mayonnaise. The croquettes were delicious and piping hot. The club sandwich was a bit bland. The chicken on the sandwich, however, was just a few slices of cold, limp chicken fillet. It still had some flavor. You'd expect thicker slices of warm, spiced roast beef. The price-quality ratio leaves a lot to be desired.

I've been there several times now, but the service is very mediocre—disinterested, unfriendly, and inattentive. It's almost amazing that you can find such a group. The food, however, is very average.

What a wonderful place! We enjoyed the food, which was meticulously prepared. The chicken with the onions was delicious. And the onion soup...hats off! We thoroughly enjoyed the excellent service and would love to return.

Last Friday, I had a private dinner at Locael's tea house to celebrate my partner's anniversary and retirement. What a fantastic location, and everything was so well organized. The food and drinks were delicious. A huge thank you to Locael for a fantastic evening, and especially to Aad for arranging everything so well. It was fantastic!

The service is generally friendly, but not very service-oriented. Apparently, you can't order coffee after 9 p.m. The terrace is nice, but it's located on a very busy road.

The food is good. The service is very mixed — some staff members are very friendly and attentive, while others are outright arrogant and lazy. I was refused lunch service after 3 PM, even though lunch is served until 4 PM. The blonde lady simply couldn't be bothered.

Great atmosphere. Quite a price, especially because fries can be ordered separately. Bread in advance is really tasty (but few spreads). Beef tataki is absolutely delicious. Rib eye is too fatty, this is a shame. All in all, a bit variable.

Locael heeft een gezellige sfeer met de open haard en warme inrichting. Een grote lees?borreltafel voordat je aan tafel gaat. De allerbeste confit de canard sinds tijden gegeten! Ik heb zoooo gesmuld. Het werd geserveerd op een bedje van luchtige aardappelpuree ( mousseline) en gekarameliseerde lof. Zalig in éen woord. OOk de jus wat heerlijk erbij. Ik kom snel terug om de andere gerechten te proeven. De prijs is ook normaal ! Erg leuk personeel maakte de avond compleet.

Had lunch with 12 people. Certain things agreed in advance that were fulfilled perfectly! Fantastic service, all dishes were superbly prepared a la carte (and at the same time, for 12 people!), and to top it all off, a delicious amuse-bouche on the house! In short, top service, top chefs and simply delicious food.

Na de huwelijksvoltrekking hebben we hier met een groep van 12 van een ontbijt/ brunch genoten. De communicatie vooraf was prettig, snel en duidelijk waardoor onze wensen ingewilligd werden. ( bruidstaartje was fantastisch verzorgd en we kregen de mogelijkheid om de tafel feestelijk te maken) Het eten en drinken was erg lekker. Niet overdreven opgemaakt. De bediening was zeer vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Enig puntje was, dat niet alles er meer was. ( geen croissant meer en later was er nog iets op.) Voordeel, er is geen voedselverspilling) Al met al een dikke vette 8 voor alles.

Super gastvrij en vriendelijk personeel! De cocktails waren heerlijk en de to share “snackje” waren top! Het brood was super vers met dips 10/10!

Many guests all talking at the same time causes my hearing aid to fail. Locael can't do anything about that. ????

Met vriendengroep van 8 personen geluncht! Zes namen een clubsandwich. Nog nooit zo’n slechte sandwich gehad. Droog en weinig beleg, ja, wel groffe blaadjes sla. Eens, maar nooit meer naar Locael. En dat op een prachtige locatie in Bloemendaal Centrum.

Lekker lokaal restaurant in Bloemendaal met constante kwaliteit eten en goede bediening. Prima kaart en dito gerechten. Voor lunch ook prima trouwens.

Delicious food, quick service and a nice atmosphere

When entering, service does not respond. Got the menu myself. After insisting, our order was taken. The heater is not on in the restaurant. It's cold. Pumpkin soup was more of a pumpkin puree. Way too thick and too sharp. Not edible. The couscous salad was very cold. Came straight from the refrigerator. The food is loveless and the staff considers themselves much more important and interesting than the guests.

Ate sandwhich salmon. No butter or mayo on white bread (wasn't asked if I wanted brown bread and I forgot to ask). Although there was lettuce and egg, it was a dry snack. Too bad.

Had a mediocre evening. Overly friendly waiter. Food was okay (tuna) but overdone.

Friendly service. In terms of food: 2 minimal starters (tataki and sashimi) for a total of €30. Pasta (outside the menu) very greasy with hard pieces in it. Hamburger factory quality, not medium but 'nicely' cooked through. Desserts (caramelized peach) very ordinary. Too bad Locael. It's not what we were used to anymore

Two cowardly tasteless dishes, Beef tenderloin (most expensive dish) apart from the dreary piece (or maybe I was too hungry), it was supermarket quality. I even wonder if it was tenderloin. A really substandard plate with some vegetable remains and a sauce that they dare to put on the table... Nah, then the Beef burger, should be medium but was thoroughly dry... Even the cheddar cheese had become crispy (I didn't even know that was possible)... Had fries for 6 euros with the tenderloin... Well, it was included, but for 6 euros. You just expect top fries... That certainly wasn't it... Staff is very nice and friendly, it was nice to relax on the terrace.. We were looking forward to a delicious dessert..... But we didn't feel like another disappointment so we left it at that... In summary, it's a nice and cozy place to keep you thirsty... Continue searching for your taste buds!!

We first visited when we were in the area two years ago and had a great experience. When we returned to visit the Haarlem area we made it a point to return and we are happy that we did! The service was prompt and friendly and the food and drink were outstanding. We had the Couscous salad, fires and the Angus Burger and all were amazing. A great expereince!

Super SLOW. Waitress could literally pass by you 10 times with no intention to give you menu or offer another drink. At some point it even became interesting: how long could she NOT do her job)) Wanna have a fast bite, like fries? It will take them 40 min, restaurant not even 1/3 full.

During our Saturday lunch outing, we experienced some disappointments. The oysters for the starter arrived 40 minutes after we ordered, and our main entrees appeared before the starter. Additionally, the meat we ordered medium-rare arrived raw. Although our waitress was pleasant, these issues affected our experience.

Unfortunately, our experience in the restaurant was very disappointing, mainly due to the poor timing of the main course and dessert, which caused us to arrive late to the theater. We had specially chosen the Caprera menu and made a reservation at 5 p.m. so that we could leave at 7 p.m. at the latest. The appetizer board we ordered was tasty and came to the table quickly. However, when we decided to order the main course, it took significantly longer to be served. Dessert took even longer, a whopping 45 minutes, despite repeated requests to hurry. The staff seemed unresponsive to our requests to speed up the pace, resulting in an arrival at the theater that was much later than planned. As a result, we were unable to obtain the desired seats in time. It is frustrating that a three-course meal took more than 2 1/2 hours, especially because we had hoped to be ready in time for our evening program. All in all this was a disappointing experience. The long wait for dessert was unnecessary and could have been avoided, especially since we had clearly indicated that we had to leave on time. Hopefully in the future the restaurant can better anticipate time and ensure that guests can enjoy their meal within a reasonable time, especially on special menus such as the Caprera menu where timing is crucial. There were also sufficient staff present that evening.

We were 2, arriving around 2 o'clock, served more than 25 minutes apart. The plates were ok, but scarce. The owner apologized with difficulty. The waitress blamed the business of the empty restaurant, the chef blamed the waitress. In the end they offer us generously the bottle of water. What a shame. The burger was not good.

Wij hebben afgelopen zaterdagavond met vrienden heerlijk gegeten. Wat ons opviel is dat het heel vriendelijk en attent personeel was. Het was druk en toch persoonlijk aandacht. Helaas doet de link het niet die we per mail hebben ontvangen.

We thought the prices for the plate of food were far too expensive. A snack of bitterballen is fine, but not dinner. We advise everyone against that. The threshold of the front door is too high and not easy for wheelchair users.

Het restaurant is mooi ingericht en de bediening is zeer vriendelijk. Het eten was niet verkeerd maar ook niet bijzonder en voor die prijzen mag je echt (veel) meer verwachten.

Had a nice meeting with some friends for lunch at Loacael Bloemendaal because Locael Haarlem did not serve lunch or would not be open yet. What ever! Great location and the various sandwiches that were ordered tasted and looked great. A variety of white wines but there was only one choice of rose. Had a wonderful afternoon and was able to enjoy a little bit of the sun on the terrace. Atmosphere inside okay, terrace a bit shabby. But everything looks better when the sun shines and the temperature cooperates. Recommended.

Had a delicious meal with O89 entrepreneurs club Haarlem

Ligt op een mooi centraal punt in Bloemendaal. Er is een redelijk grote menukaart met toffe gerechten. Bediening is zeer vriendelijk, maar niet echt snel.

Located in a beautiful central point in Bloemendaal. There is a fairly large menu with nice dishes. Service is very friendly, but not really fast.

Food was OK, but no more than that. Price is too high. By calling a very simple satay a “skewer of marinated chicken thighs” you pay 5 euros more than you should. It is also a nice place with good staff.

We lived above the Locael and were there almost every day because we felt so comfortable :) All the employees are super nice, the food and beer were also tasty :)

Yesterday we had dinner with 10 friends in the centuries-old Tea House opposite Locael. What a great experience, beautifully decorated with all the delicious dishes you expect from Locael in an intimate atmosphere.

For a club sandwich of €14.50, you expect a filled sandwich! It was 1 slice of chicken breast, half an omelet, little to no curry mayo. And no bacon...I only found that out at home, so that's a shame and a reason not to go there for lunch anymore.

Beautiful location, known as 'Wildhoek', where all sorts of things flow in and out. Popular workplace - the library is around the corner - and consultation location. Quickly very noisy, and why hold receptions in the large room? Now it is not possible for other guests.

Mooi terras in Bloemendaal. Bediening oké. Niet gegeten ivm niet gereserveerd.

Locael Bloemendaal: dit kan echt beter voor een concurrerende prijs. Bisque voor 14 euro, zonder een stukje kreeft.... entrecote was niet mals, hard werken om het weg te krijgen. Bediening kon het wel goed aan horen en gaf aan dat ik het eerder aan had moeten geven, dan had ik een ander stuk entrecote gekregen. Rekening was 112 euro. Toch serieus bedrag.

Stopped in for a couple beer, but no food. Our server was great, he was present almost immediately as our glasses were empty. The food we saw at others’ tables looked good.
