Terrible, what a disaster. I was invited here to celebrate a birthday. Initially, we were seated at a high table. We said we wouldn't sit there. Then we were seated at a low table, right above which there was a speaker, making it impossible to have a conversation. The table was peeling, and it took an incredibly long time for a drink to arrive. Next, a menu that was impossible to make head or tail of; you get an explanation with it. Then you choose something, and it is decided for you in what order you receive it. Fine, not my thing, but okay. Next, I received the food, which was cold, with a mountain of dried-out spring onions on top. Yes, it was warm that day, but I think these spring onions were cut 5 days ago. Then the dessert; which is supposed to be amazing, a transparent Ikea cube full of dirty fingerprints and dry ice appeared on the table, from which a cardboard container emerged that you were allowed to scoop your own ice cream from. What a farce. Worthless value for money. Not to mention the amount of trash on the side terrace that you had to walk over to get to the main terrace. In addition, photos of the food and the terrace were also taken by 2 ladies, one of whom literally wore only a black headband around her chest.

Last Friday, we had a wonderful meal at Ron Gastrobar Bloemendaal. We had made a reservation for 7:00 PM, and upon arrival, the terrace was already pleasantly full due to the beautiful weather. While waiting for our table, my wife and I immediately spotted a favorite spot along the balustrade by the forest. Fortunately, we were assigned exactly that table, so our evening was already off to a great start. As a starter, I had the Roti Udang (a shrimp bun with chili mayonnaise), and honestly, this was a true taste sensation. For the main course, we chose the Rijsttafel Agus, which was beautifully presented and excellent in terms of taste as well. And then the dessert… the Nanas is absolutely highly recommended! Creative in terms of presentation and taste, with pineapple in the starring role. Furthermore, the staff certainly deserves a compliment. Even though the terrace was completely full, everyone remained enthusiastic, friendly, and attentive. In fact, at the end of the evening, some of the staff even took the time for short chats with the guests. It was nice to see how motivated and engaged they are. In short: a fantastic evening and definitely worth repeating.

I used to eat regularly at Ron's in Ouderkerk. The quality hasn't improved. The starter (chicken in a taco) used to be tasty with plenty of chicken, but now there's more lettuce than chicken. The taste of the chicken was fine, but less so due to the lettuce. The rijsttafel (Indonesian rice table) was as delicious as ever. Dessert – literally a tub of ice cream with some fruit and a cookie – is not worthy of Ron. That used to be something to look forward to. The service was friendly and fine.

Maybe we were unlucky regarding the special evening with SEMAJA, but the food really wasn't good. The service was very dismissive with shy teenagers, but it wasn't service-oriented. We had to ask if we could get something to drink, and empty glasses sat around for a long time. We both love Indonesian food, but this didn't resemble real Indonesian food; the rice was watery, and there were no Indonesian flavors. As for the atmosphere, the music was so loud that we couldn't understand the explanation of the dish. Positive: Beautiful decor, it was funny that there was a Balinese dance performance, and lovely hand soap in the restroom. That much is true. But for the price of €200 for 2 people, you can get something better.

If you contact Ron by phone about something serious like a food allergy (no info on the site), you get the brother of the digital NS announcer on the line. He gives you even less useful information than at the railways and then starts spamming you unsolicited via the app. Impersonal, customer-unfriendly, stupid, and bad. You never lose your first impression, and kicking over the head can also be done without stopping.....

Rijsttafel Agus was nice, but a bit heavy on the trassie. Udang peteh without peteh and no coconut sauce but heavily loaded with onions? Satay was great with a nice BBQ grill flavour. Rendang kroket were great and the djeruk perut mayo was a killer! Service was friendly but a lot of youngsters who didn't really know what the dishes were so they tried to quickly mumble through it. Beautiful location, but the acoustics were terrible (had to shout to my companions to make myself heard) and there was no mobile network there (the latter not being part of the rating but stil bothersome).

Had a good meal here on January 28th; it's a shame that Bloemendaal has now gone the Indonesian route. On February 19th, the experience was less good; the service took a very long time. This was despite guests who arrived much later being served immediately. The food: the rendang croquettes were dark brown and burnt, making them tasteless. The noodles were swimming in soy sauce and were way too spicy. So much so that it gave me instant palpitations. This was certainly not the case on January 28th. What a pity!!

Here is a slightly longer and friendlier version with a polite tone: The three of us had a wonderful meal at Ron Gastrobar. The oysters as a starter were very tasty, and the rijsttafel (Indonesian rice table) was flavorful and more than sufficient. The atmosphere in the restaurant and the friendliness of the staff were also pleasant. Unfortunately, the service did not run entirely smoothly. We had to wait about 15 minutes before we could order a drink and then wait again for the menu. The crab cakes as a starter were forgotten and were only served at the same time as the main course. Things also went wrong with the dessert: one person did not receive a chocolate. That was a shame, especially since it wasn't busy. Nevertheless, we enjoyed the food and the evening. With a little more attention to the service, the experience would be completely perfect.

"You can hang your coat there," we were shown to a table, didn't follow, then waited 15 minutes before being asked what we'd like to drink, ordered a rijsttafel (rice table) and three separate dishes to share as a starter. The response was idiotic: "Nobody does that and it's not the intention...". Okay, the food is tasty, but far too little for an average eater. Then another long wait. Basically, ignored... Okay, after initiating a conversation about it, a bottle of wine was offered, which the employee appreciated. But never again; it's incomprehensible that Ron Blaauw's name is associated with this. It pretends to have something, but to put it bluntly, it's more like, excuse the word, a "feeding shed"... :-(

Yesterday, February 28th, my wife and I went to Ron's Gastrobar Bloemendaal for lunch because I thought it would be a special experience. It wasn't. Upon arrival, we received a friendly welcome after a short wait, which wasn't a problem because the reception area was busy with someone else. I found a seat, my wife sat down by the window, and I went back outside to take a short walk with the dog. When I returned, my wife was still waiting for service. After about 15 minutes, the waitress finally arrived after I asked if we could still be served. We ordered a flat white, which was very tasty, and then a soto, fried noodles, and satay. It took a very long time before we received anything. The soto was delicious, and when it was finished, we had to wait again for the fried noodles and satay. Finally, the noodles and satay arrived. It looked delicious, but the result was different. The fried bami was more like drowned noodles; it was swimming in sauce, and when it was on the plate, there was still a third of the sauce in the bowl. The satay tasted very bland and really lacked any spice. My wife had told me that Indonesian food is never very spicy, something I didn't know. While clearing the table, I asked if the fried bami was always this wet because we wanted to order fried nasi first, and that would require a sieve, otherwise you have to drink it. The waitress replied that this was absolutely not the case. She went to discuss it with the chef, but I didn't receive any feedback from her about the details. What a shame! Finally, 2.5 hours later and €85.00 poorer, I was back outside. I finally realized that this was quite a lot of money for 2 soto, drowned noodles, 4 small chicken satay sticks, 3 flat whites, and a ginger tea, and then a very long wait. Luckily, we weren't hungry. We're used to better, and for less money too. No, they won't see us again, which is a shame because we actually wanted to celebrate my wife's birthday there with our daughters. We didn't expect this from Ron's Gastrobar. Doesn't he have a reputation to uphold in the Netherlands? Yet another negative experience for Bert and Nelleke.

The ambience is nicely done. Unfortunately, signs are missing (or not visible from the everywhere regarding toilets). Staff is friendly and professional but they were a bit overwhelmed by the amount of guests and took quite a while to get served. Rijatafels tasted nice, but for amount of food vs price pr person it was a bit overpriced. Nice experience once in a while but then you should be aware that you won't be full with the rijatafel dishes.

Never again! How uncomfortable can you feel in a place like that?! The three of us arrived. And we're "different" from the other guests who apparently come there. Namely, of foreign descent. Born and raised in the Netherlands, but oh well. We were allowed to sit down. Our first drinks finally arrived, but unfortunately, the waitress dropped the glass on the table, so we asked if it was possible to sit somewhere else because of the shards. She was. We then waited and waited and waited until we could finally order. Then we waited an hour and a half for our food. The reason was: "You requested some adjustments for the rijsttafel, that's why it took a bit longer." The food arrived, without the adjustments for which we had had to wait so long. Fortunately, this was corrected immediately. Our wine glasses were taken away immediately upon arrival. Why? I asked for the wine list and we were then given a round of drinks on the house due to the long wait, which I thought was polite. But this was not okay. We felt very uncomfortable, unseen, and unwelcome. The food was delicious, but I will never visit this location again.

The food was tasty but lukewarm. But most importantly: the amount of food at the rijsttafel (rice table) for €40 per person is simply unacceptable. Because there's so little in the containers, you automatically end up taking very little. The containers could have been a bit more. The staff tries their best but is too busy. Even asking for extra drinks when the food was served and asking for the bill proved quite a challenge. It took 10 minutes to get the staff's attention. In short, a nice place, the staff tries their best, the food is good but really overpriced for what you get.

Last Friday, I had a wonderful meal with a group at Ron Gastrobar Indonesia in Bloemendaal. We ordered several tasty appetizers for our starters, including rendang croquettes. For the main course, I had a delicious satay menu with lontong and wagyu beef with cabbage. For dessert, I had a delightful chocolate egg with pandan. In between, we had a refreshing apple mocktail, and to finish, green tea. The staff was very attentive, and the atmosphere was great. Indonesian singers performed Javanese and Balinese songs.

We unexpectedly popped in for a bite to eat. We were shown to a table but weren't given a menu or a drink order. After a few minutes, we were asked if we wanted water. "No, thank you," they said. Then the waiter walked away, leaving us sitting there without a menu or a drink. Plenty of waiters were around. We were simply ignored. We weren't given a menu, and no one came to ask what we wanted to drink. We finally left with empty stomachs and dry mouths.

Delicious, and what wonderful hospitality! We had a wonderful dinner. The oysters were fantastic, especially the Asian-style ones! My wife's rendang croquettes as a starter were also delicious. The main course, steak tartare, was excellent (perhaps we missed some toast with it). The terrine of the following was truly brilliant. The recommended wine, white for my wife and red for me, was also perfect. The service was also superb; we were able to cancel an extra side dish after the starter because it was so delicious that we felt an extra one was unnecessary. We were hesitant about choosing dessert. My wife was very happy with the coconut ice cream (if I remember correctly) – nice and refreshing on a hot day. And the choice of cheeses (following the host's recommendation) was a lovely way to end the dinner. Especially the Utrecht cheese and a light blue cheese – again, if we remember correctly. We will definitely be back! Thank you for the wonderful evening and perfect service.

Delicious food in the dunes. Not just any dishes, but always something with a twist. The spareribs with sambal are highly recommended, but all the other dishes you can share are also special and delicious. The extensive wine list completes the experience. The service is excellent; everyone pays attention to almost every table and is very knowledgeable about the dishes and the wine pairings. Reservations are often required, but that's understandable. We'll definitely be back next time we're in the area.

Not welcomed. Not seen. Almost everything had to be asked for more than once. Staff that walks by and does not look around. Ice cream cone that is apparently presented with the bill, when you leave the restaurant you get the comment "oh this was part of the bill, forgot". I have a very bad feeling about it. Food that was just good does not make that right.

Nice location and food too, but we had a terrible experience in terms of service. We didn’t get orders, when we reminded them about a forgotten order being accused that we didn’t order (while we really did), and quite a sour vibe. Maybe the team was understaffed or had a bad day, but you can’t put that on your guests like this.

What a disappointment, our host is a disgrace... you don't expect this in a restaurant (openly blaming your colleagues, too friendly if not antisocial), staff (not all) has no product knowledge and acts as if we were their best friends, furthermore the price-quality level is so far apart. You really need to adjust here. Food is reasonable but a lot but then also much too expensive. Cutlery from cleared tables is thrown in a bin because it causes a nuisance, furthermore found that drinking the leftovers from a wine bottle up to 2x (in a glass) was the height of it. Step up management!

Everything was good. 3 of us had a bite each paling, rendang kroket and crevettes. As main we had two portions of spare ribs and one lambs neck with one spinach salad and 2 fries on the side. Finally sorbet ice cream and one eclaire. Thia was more then enough and very delicious.

Let's start positively: the food was mostly delicious, favorite of the evening was the onion martini, rightly a chef's favorite. The location is nice, a beautiful terrace in the middle of the dunes. We had a Social Deal for a four-course dinner, for which Bij de C has a separate menu, which was well arranged. We communicated the choices for all courses in advance to ensure a smooth passage. The first two courses arrived quickly, although it was noticeable that other tables (including the SD) were treated to a snack from the restaurant that we did not receive. The fact that the main course took a little longer was not a problem in itself, but the dessert took a very long time... In the end, there was 1 hour and 10 minutes between the main course and dessert being served. When serving the dessert, the waiter counters the comment that it took a very long time with a laconic 'Yes, we think so too.' (FYI: it was a cheese board and bread-and-butter, not the most complicated dishes). During the waiting time, it is noticeable that the adjacent tables are cleared and covered, but nothing is done about the stains and crumbs from the previous guests. Also, in the 45 minutes between clearing the table and serving dessert, the service never comes by to ask if another drink is needed, if they can help, or to give an update on the dessert. When serving dessert, no one asks about the need for something to drink, even though the glasses are now empty. When it gets dark under the parasol on the terrace, we turn on the table light ourselves, which we see more people doing. When paying, I was asked again about the long waiting time, which, according to this person, was due to the new menu, which the kitchen staff has not yet fully mastered. But can it be made good with a coffee from the company? Which is then served with sugar but without a spoon. Also no cookies or other sweets, so just plain coffee and tea. Then it turns out that a glass of wine and beer are not on the bill. Not noted or deducted as a gesture? We don't know because nothing is communicated. The total duration of this dinner from arrival to departure was three and a half hours. Slow dining indeed. It's great that there is Stella Maris hand soap in the toilet room, but this was not a perfect dinner experience. It's not the food, but there is still a lot of room for improvement.

Sinds kort serveren ze ontbijt vanaf 10 uur. Wij hadden een brunch plateau met o.a. een sapje, croissantjes, ei, heerlijke yoghurt. Het was heerlijk weer dus we zaten buiten op het terras. Wat een fijne plek om wakker te worden met een heerlijk uitzicht. Bediening was super, kortom één groot feest!

We hosted a business event for 30 people at Ron Gastrobar Bij de C and the experience was outstanding. Communication with the team was top-notch from start to finish they were incredibly responsive and proactive. The coordination and overall organisation of the event were seamless. A special thank you to Jet, who did a fantastic job managing the team and making sure everything ran smoothly. I would highly recommend this place not only for professional events but also for personal celebrations. I’d be happy to return and visit again!

Visited Restaurant bij C last weekend and had a terrible experience. It was beautiful weather so we took a seat outside on the terrace. Then we were told that eating outside was not possible which we found strange since it was such beautiful weather, sun was shining and it was around 15 degrees. Since we couldn’t order anything from the regular menu outside we received the “snack” menu which was available outside, that we found particularly strange. When we were ready to order we waited around 10 minutes but still no server arrived, I myself stepped inside to make an order and was than told by, I think, the restaurant manager, this gentleman was wearing a suit, that he would be outside in a minute to take our order. 10 minutes passed and still no server arrived. I eventually stepped inside again to order. Food was decent. The eel was really good and tasteful but it says it comes with Brioche bread, which are just 2 really thin slices of toast. I found it quite expensive for €17. We also ordered the squid which came in a small cone, it had a small slice of lemon with it but everything was just covered in sauce, so it was real messy to eat. The baguette and the dried charcuterie were very good, and the coffee as well. Overall we didn’t have a good experience here at all and I was also a bit ashamed since I brought a long time friend here to have a nice and decent lunch, which it was not. At the end my friend went to pay and at no point at all were we asked about our experience so we couldn’t give the feedback directly to the staff, so therefore I will leave it here. Overall not the best experience, the food was decent but really overpriced. The biggest disappointment was the service of the staff.

Have a drink there. We had been sitting for 20 minutes before she came to answer the call. Then another 10 minutes before the coffee was ready. It was nice coffee. Then Bill asked before she saw us again, another 15 minutes further. Bill was 14 euros, I gave 20 euros and said make it 18. Had to wait another 10 minutes for those two euros. Got them back without saying thank you. Not very nice service and certainly not customer friendly. Sorry we stopped by. From now on we will just drive a little further.

Made a reservation for later in the evening because we had a wedding beforehand. We got home sooner than expected and when I called to see if we could come earlier, it was no problem! We had made a reservation for the Gastro bar at the C experience. It was all very tasty and more than enough! My gluten intolerance was taken into account everywhere. The only dish we did not like was the pointed cabbage. But other than that we really had nothing to complain about! To finish, a large bucket of ice cream with all kinds of tasty toppings. Really delicious! We will definitely come back again.

It looks a little different than when we got married there in 2018 (when it was still called De Uitkijk) but still a beautiful place to have a quiet meal. The food is delicious and the price-quality ratio is reasonable. Not much choice due to my pregnancy, but I was taken into account and when in doubt, the chef was also asked for advice. Friendly staff and good service.

De smaak was heerlijk. De hoeveelheid was 0. De gerechten zouden qua grootte tussen een voorgerecht en hoofdgerecht inzitten. Ik kreeg een halve avocado (wel heerlijk aangekleed) en een kleine tonijntartaar (zonder verdere aankleding op het bord). Wat mij betreft véél te karig. Toen ik dat aangaf, gaf de ober aan dat ik wel nog een gerechtje mocht bijbestellen (á 20,-€) ….. Achteraf langs de winkel geweest om mijn maag goed te vullen. Goede smaken, maar geen aanrader dus.

Een (vegetarische) lunch voor 2 personen met Social Deal kost bij Ron Gastrobar 60 euro, daar kregen we voor: 1 gefrituurde ui als voorgerecht, 2de gang 1 gevuld ei en als hoofdgerecht een halve aubergine. Daar dronken we ieder bij: 1 thee, 1 water en 1 wijn. Bijkomende kosten 25 euro per persoon. Samen hebben we totaal dus 110 euro uitgegeven voor een minimale lunch met maximale wachtijden.

We often eat here with the family; the staff is always friendly and attentive, the service is fast, and the pizzas are delicious. And my daughter loves the lemon ice cream scoop.

We visited the restaurant today with great anticipation... unfortunately it went wrong. We waited over an hour for our food. I could understand if it had been busy but it wasn't. The waiting staff were all wandering around confused. The people at the tables next to us didn't even take our orders. The food that we got after over an hour was good. Thank goodness that was a consolation. We would have liked to have another cocktail but we've lost the desire. I can't write down everything that I saw as a restaurateur myself... we won't be coming back. We left disappointed, what a shame!!!!!
