Just went by to order some food for the kids and I was specifically asked not to have spicy food because my kids can't handle that, the choices were given to me 36.50 and yes, 2 bowls full of food super tasty but inedible for my children, I don't normally do reviews but I had to get rid of my frustration

Dirty, soggy old croquettes, rissoles, and meat pies! Absolutely disgusting! I didn't feel like arguing, but it's outrageous that they sell this!

Food does not taste authentic Indonesian and way too expensive. This is really a place that tries to earn as much money as possible in as short a time as possible. When picking up, they asked without batting an eyelid 0.25 for a bag that you get for free at Dirk's to put your vegetables or fruit in. For me once and never again, everyone can and should earn money but you should not regard people as idiots..

I had a truly delicious soto ayam recently. The staff was incredibly friendly, and it really felt like I was in Indonesia. Best Asian shop in the area!

I had a disappointing experience with a takeout order. The food quality was very poor - upon the first bite, I could tell the meat wasn't fresh and had to discard the entire meal. Additionally, the staff considers all Visa/Mastercard cards as credit cards, and the vast majority of those in Europe are not.

Ordered a 500g container of "nasi rames" to go, with an egg, a scoop of vegetables, a scoop of meat, and some vegetables. €21,- quality is okay but WAY too expensive. The atmosphere inside isn't exactly modern.

I will never eat here again, it's disgusting. They charge money for everything but the quality is second to none. I'm sick to death of it.

Best place i have ever eaten at in Amsterdam!

I can't stress enough how amazing the food is here. Like it's some of the best food I've ever had. Went in thinking we'd just try something new, went out completely hooked! We just had to come back the next day. It scratched an itch I didn't even know existed. This is the first time I've ever left a google review because I feel like I have a responsibility to share this with my fellow man. Also they are very friendly :)

Unfortunately not tasty at all. The rendang meat was not tender and the food was quite bland for Indonesian cuisine. Not going back.

Nice Indonesian takeaway store with everything you need. Had a bapao and took some spekuk home, both were great. The people working here are friendly and the prices are good too!

Absolutely delicious home-style Indonesian food, family-run and the service couldn’t be more friendly and helpful. We had the €46 menu for 2 people that we split between 3. Just to note they don’t accept credit cards, only debit cards or cash

Food also seems to have deteriorated. Hygiene has deteriorated, I haven't been there since. Staff doesn't say much either.

Always nice, an Indonesian takeaway shop. I tend to judge these types of stores on the availability of lemper - where other stores often run out of lemper, it is readily available here. Sometimes the lemper is a bit dry, and I think the portions of the bami-rames are a bit on the small side for that price. You would think that these containers have a standard size, but I have the feeling that we get less here than at other stores for a slightly higher price. Friendly staff, and the noodles are really tasty.

Too bad they hardly speak Dutch/English. I was also advised a bowl of spicy fish (cod) but there were still far too many bones in it!

Never get a rice table here!!! We paid €92 for 2 rice tables and compared to what you get, this is absolutely not worth it. If you go back to ask how it is possible that it is so little, they just say that this is it and you have to make do with it. We should have taken separate containers, they said. Nice customer-friendly attitude instead of looking for a solution to accommodate the customer to some extent. Never again Java Kuliner for us.

I don't understand the bad reviews. Delicious food for a good price, and friendly staff. Large portions. I always order the vegetarian meal, very tasty! Some dishes are quite spicy.

I have to give full credit for the taste and the quality of materials. A family run restaurant, with ladies that could be your neighbors and they would invite you for dinner. On the other hand, I believe that the quantity offered at a 14 euro platter is moderate. Looks like they pile up a platter with rice, less noodles, some vegetables and 2 spoonfuls of 2 meats. If they double the quantity of meat to 4+4 spoonfuls I would gladly pay 14 euros. Hope they understand and read the comments here, that they pretty much say what I say.

Weer eens sinds lange tijd geweest, maar het is er veel te duur allemaal. Bakje rijst voor 8 euro en niet eens echt vers. Andere producten beetje dezelfde smaak niet speciaal genoeg en te duur voor wat je krijgt. Jammer want ik was wel fan.

Lekker Indonesische afhaal gerechten. Zeer smakelijk.

2023: het valt op dat er steeds minder in een rames gegeven wordt. Minder vlees, groenten en rijst. Dacht eerst eenmalig maar het gebeurd nu steeds weer opnieuw. Ik begrijp dat dingen duurder worden, maar betaal liever iets meer dan thuis komen met karige bakjes met eten. Letterlijk 5 kleine stukjes rendang in mijn rames. Was voorheen gewoon goede lepel vol. 2022: Ben er bijna elke week wel te vinden, heerlijk eten en vriendelijk personeel.

Op zich prima en lekker eten. Je krijgt echter, afhankelijk van door wie je wordt geholpen, heel erg weinig vlees/groenten. Om die reden kom ik er niet meer en ga ik naar een concurrent waar je meer waar voor je geld krijgt.

テイクアウトのセットを注文。ミーゴレンに4品くらいおかずを付けて10ユーロちょっと。味付けはインドネシアに比べるとおとなしめだけど、クセがなく、丁度いい感じ。

Happy to order here once in a while, food taste good and there are many options to choose from :).

The food was really delicious, especially the Sweet&Sour chicken. And for a good price if u compare it to the other indonesian restaurant nearby... there its like €15 for a rames if im not wrong and here its €11 and its delicious haha. the service was very nice and respectful... I would definitely recommend eating here, they upgraded a lot since the first time i came there and that was a year ago. I hope You will get a warm service.

Most delicious Indonesian takeaway in Amsterdam. (I've tried almost all of them)

Smaak is goed, maar bij een Rames koop je voornamelijk een grote bak rijst. De porties vlees en groente zijn erg minimaal.

Dishes look good and got a nice taste and well served. The white rice out of the micro wave is still not my favorite.
