The people who work there are lovely, but the Perkedel Jagung was absolutely inedible. There was barely any corn in it and it was just a lump of dough.

They have a great variety of dishes from where you can choose from. I had Soto Ayam with rice and it was really good - it tasted just like my mom's. Also, it was nice to see products from Indonesia, from teas to spices and many more! The staff was very friendly and I will definitely come back whenever I'll be in Amsterdam!

Fantastic discovery in East! I have been to quite a few toko’s and know how good Indonesian food should taste. I recently moved to East and was looking for a new favourite toko — and I found it: Toko Badung! What a great place! The staff is incredibly friendly and hospitable, you immediately feel welcome. The portions are generous, and every bite is full of authentic flavours. You can taste that the food is cooked with love and attention. An absolute must if you are looking for really good Indonesian food. I will definitely come back here often!

Historical place, we have been coming here since the 70s. Been there a few times in the past few years. The food tastes very different than before, not at all Indian, very bland, sweet and fatty, (lots of dough in e.g. risolles). Martabak was downright bad, instead of leek there were blobs of frozen spinach in it, not tasty. Too bad...

I had a full Indonesian meal of noodles, veggie and shrimp that I remember after weeks. They work mainly as a takeaway but there are some tables where you can stop. The lady is very kind and smiley, which is rare in this world.

For the hobby chef, there are well-stocked freezers with ingredients that you will not find in the supermarket. I couldn't find everything right away, but when they noticed we were kindly helped. I immediately brought something to eat for tonight. Very tasty.

Always a go-to when I don’t feel like cooking myself. The people working there are amazing and the Terong Blado is mesmerizing.

What a pity. We have been coming to Toko Bandung since the 1970s and for the first time we have been severely disappointed. The nasi rames was not nasi rames, the satay ajam tasted of nothing and the sauce was not a sauce but a kind of thin gravy. The vegetables were overcooked and the other dishes were of much lower quality than we were used to. There is another owner? Get another chef! This is way below your level

On someone's previous post, they said they are not friendly. That is indeed correct. If you stand at the counter you are simply ignored while she is at the counter doing the dishes. The food was disappointing, like the risoles that I normally love, but at this store the risoles are really not tasty and also look very pale as if they still need to be baked. The lemper also has little taste. Unfortunately never again for me. I'll go to my trusted store where it's tasty.

I just came back from a holiday and wanted some delicious Indian food. I bought moldy nasi. I went back and told the saleswoman very discreetly. I was surprised and took the nasi out of the display case. All I got is something else of my choice. Since then I don't trust the food there anymore!

Food is delicious. But the service always grumpy in the store.

Unbelievably tasty. As an Indo without a grandmother, it is often a loss that I can no longer have a nice meal on Sundays. This makes up for it a bit. The food is amazing (only the lemper is not recommended in my opinion). The prices are very reasonable and I would happily drive from Utrecht to Amsterdam for this food.

I don't want to spoil it for these people, but I recently went here for the first time to pick up food and my husband and I both got sick from it. The food is not fresh and the meat is tough. Perhaps hygiene also leaves something to be desired because our stomachs are really used to something, but this was not OK!

I have been coming to Toko Bandung for the tastiest Indo kitchen in the West for 60 years - since I was a child. It used to be more of a supermarket... Toko... and now it's more 'takeaway'. But the food is delicious! Delicious makan makan

Lekker origineel Indonesisch gegeten. Heel vriendelijk personeel die meedenkt wat je wilt eten. Heel kindvriendelijk.

Leuke afhaal zaak met keuzes uit de Indonesische keuken.

Voldoend keus aan heerlijke gerechten.

Kip sate en pindasaus horen anders te smaken!

Fijne Toko voor al je Indonesische producten. Ook een maaltijd meegenomen maar ik vond de smoor en het aubergine gerecht niet zo geweldig.

Okt 2022 Still a good place to get some good Indonesian food. They limited the food section but still have a good assortment. Not the cheapest though. Old Nice place for all your Eatern food. They are remodelling I think. Empty shelves and part of assortment not available. My place for fresh Curcuma and Miso (not always on stock)

Lekker wat snacks gehaald, maar doe wat aan die chagrijnige man met oorbel achter de toonbank... Saus bij loempiaas vergeten en 50 cent voor een tasje...jammer!

They have all kinds of "exotic" products. Try the buldak chicken instantnoodles or buy a warm meal.

Uitgebreid eten meegenomen. Veel keus. Vriendelijk personeel. Alles wat we meenamen was lekker. We komen zeker vaker wat ophalen 👍

Hadden catering voor 25 personen besteld. Kwamen op tijd. Zette alle neer. Dekten alles mooi op. Legde goed uit wat t was. Kwamen op afgesproken tijd alles weer ophalen. In 1 woord alles perfect. Deze toko is van harte aan te bevelen ook voor catering.

Very recommended. Rasa masakannya seperti di Indonesia, bisa mengobati sedikit rindu pada kampung halaman. Porsi banyak, pilihan menu buanyaaak sekali, jajanannya komplit, harga bersaing, pelayanannya ramah, letaknya strategis. Kalau ke Amsterdam pasti mau ke Toko Bandung lagi. Wir sind enttäuscht. Es hat bestimmt ein Eigentümer wechsel gegeben. Das Essen schmeckt nicht mehr wie ich es von meiner Mutter und meinen Tanten kenne. Es ist viel zu scharf und sogar meine Enkelin von anderthalb hat die Lemper nicht gegessen, weil es ihr nicht geschmeckt hat. Sie liebt Lemper und verputzt sie immer. Hilfsbereit und freundlich war die Bedienung. Ich werde leider nicht mehr dahin gehen.

Super indische maaltijd Ik vond het heerlijk, voor mijn man was het wat te scherp. En ik had voor hem nog wel de milde variant genomen.

Menu 3 (keuze 3 groenten en 3 vleesgerechten) besteld via een thuisbezorg site. Bij ontvangst was het slechts een bak bami, nasi, rendang en wat groenten. Gebeld met toko. Toko verklaarde menu 3 niet langer in assortiment te hebben. Hoe kan ik het dan bestellen ? Toko was niet bereid tot nalevering waar ik voor betaald heb. Zeer slechte service voor gemiddeld tot matig kwaliteit eten.

Goede traiteur, eten is vers en zeer goed . Voor 8.95 heb je een maaltijd , maar je kunt ook enorm veel los kopen. Ook snacks en koude frisdrank en natuurlijk spekkoek.

Helaas is de smaak te veel aangepast aan die van Nederlanders. Het eten heeft weinig te maken met het echte Indonesisch eten, jammer!

Zo jammer dat deze toko niet meer die kwaliteit en diversiteit levert die ze vroeger leverde.

Eren was lekker. Maar te hoog qua prijs. En sorry, dat is t oke, niets meer niets minder..Mis de vrolijkheid van de dames van vroeger..

This place used to be the go to spot for the Indonesian community in Amsterdam for all the necessary shopping. Nowadays its more a take-out place. The stuff that they still have is heavily overpriced compared to other toko's. I was the 4th generation of my family who did shopping there. But not anymore!! New management really ruined the place. Beware and always check your receipt. Had a couple bad experiences. I wrote a review on another site and they had de nerve to dig in mutual friends and ask about me. Major privacy no no. My advice go to toko makkasar or go to oriental!! I

De gerechten vanuit Toko Bandung zijn voortreffelijk van smaak en worden klantgericht vriendelijk aangeboden tegen de gewenste prijs-kwaliteitverhouding.

Gak hanya toko yang menjual bahan-bahan makanan khas Indonesia, tapi ada juga restoranya dengan menu khas Indonesia nya, seperti nasi goreng, bakso, pempek, siomay, rendang, tahu tempe sampai gorengan. Yang punya asli orang Indonesia jadi rasanya Indonesia banget deh, pegawainya juga orang Indonesia. Yang kangen sama rumah dan masakan Indonesia bisa melipir kesini.

Een kleine winkel waar je Indonesische kruiden en rijst kan kopen. En hebben ook lekkere hapjes om mee te nemen naar huis om daar op te warmen. Maar er is ook een hoekje waar je kan eten, ongeveer 12 zitplaatsen. Het eten en de prijzen zijn goed, voor +/- €12,- heb je een bord eten met een drankje.
