A good selection of exceptional whiskeys. Quite pricey, but the advice was excellent, perfectly tailored to our tastes. It's worth the price.

Weird place. There was nobody there at peak hours, which should have been a sign. The wait staff came across like they had something to prove and were so loud I could hardly hear the person next to me. Not a relaxing vibe, more cringe than anything else. Hope this place is replaced by something better soon.

Bartender was very familiar with scotches, and worked with me on what I liked. The quantity for a flight is enough that you get to enjoy it, but not ao much that you feel stuck with a particular bottle. They even gave me extra from a bottle that was almost empty. Would highly recommend to any whiskey fans visiting Amsterdam!

Very nice whiskey bar. The whiskey selection is great and the waiter very knowledgeable. The tasting is based on the waiter knowledge and not on set menus which adds to the experience and makes it interesting to repeat.

A bar with a cozy atmosphere. The cocktails are excellent and the staff friendly. A relaxing moment in an inviting setting.

Our own personal favorite spot in Amsterdam. For a whiskey bar, the highlight is actually the food and the service. All of the food options are fantastic with both vegetarian and meat options. Service has always been absolutely amazing and their whiskey tours always surprises. Highly recommend.

A superb bar, with a very talented bartender who masters every gesture for each cocktail. He lined up the glasses perfectly on the tray before serving them. I took a Bobby Burns, which I didn't like but as I tasted it I came to appreciate it for its subtle notes. I highly recommend this place

Quite average... The bar is relatively nice and if you choose something standard you will get a good cocktail. The atmosphere is mediocre, prices are unreasonably high and the music played, did not fit with what you would expect from a whisky bar.

I arrived as they were closing down, but the bartender was kind to take me. I had a sore throat and needed a soothing hot tottie or whiskey. Since they didn't have hot drinks available before close, he selected a nice whiskey. Great service!

What truly delicious food. Sweet potato fries like never before. The crispy chicken and the filled nachos. Everything is freshly made and you can taste it! Definitely worth repeating!

What's not to like? I stopped in for a quick drink so I can't comment on the food. But the menu looked like what you'd want at a whisky bar. And sooooo many whisky. Like 7 different ryes. I'll be back!

What a wonderful bar. We wanted a taste of home so we sought out the whiskey bar and ordered a few american whiskeys we actually haven't tried. Not only were they great but the food was also good! Def get the fried chicken. And the service was wonderful. If we lived here we'd frequent this spot often and make it our go to. We truly enjoyed it!

Came here for an event where bar snacks were served. The nachos were particularly tasty! I had a couple of whiskey sours and they certainly hit the spot!

Ask for the Mexican behind the bar, pay 60, get 4 whisky. Your welcome.

Eine sehr nette Whiskybar! Die Auswahl ist gut und vielseitig. Leider stehen an den Whiskys keine Preise, so war dieser Abend leider sehr teuer für uns, da die Whiskys zwischen 11 und 25€ pro Dram gekostet haben. Es war natürlich unsere eigene Schuld, dass wir die Preise nicht erfragt haben, aber in anderen Bars haben Drams ähnlicher Qualität zwischen 5 und 10€ gekostet.

Great place for whiskey lovers! The have an excellent selection of whiskey cocktails, we tried the Dark n smoky and a sour cocktail (think it was called Amsterdam sour). Both of them were really great! You don’t need a reservation, it’s usually not too crowded. The bartender was really friendly and had a lot of knowledge of the cocktails and their whiskey.

Great whisky selection and really good cocktails. Worth a visit if you’re looking for something different, but some of the prices seem a little steep - a glass of good single malt Scotch works out to roughly a third of the cost an entire bottle. Still, the staff are friendly and knowledgeable.

One of the best whiskey bars I've been to globally. The have a good selection of Japanese, scotch, Canadian, Irish and American whiskies (and Burgoyne bourbons), but better still- they have staff who take pride in their work! My friends and I took the tasting menu, Japanese, Irish and American (bourbon). In the tasting menu, you get 3 different types of whiskies and the option of a 4th. Our server took time to explain where our whisky came from, the key notes and undertones of flavours and how it's made. Of course you'll need to get some food to absorb all the alcohol you'll be drinking so we ordered some food which was really good too. The atmosphere is excellent, they have different types of seating based on your group size and mood. Overall 10/10, would highly recommend.

Stopped here for a couple, great selection of whiskeys and cocktails. Bar man was very knowledgeable and helpful. Definitely worth popping in.

OMG that whisky sour! Top tier whisky cocktails crafted by very friendly staff in a cool, laidback atmosphere. We had to go back a second time after having one of the best whisky sours we've ever had.

My party of four got the whisky tasting with dinner option. Two of us like bourbon and two like Scotch. The whisky server started us all on the same journey, but then had us diverge along different paths, which I really appreciated. The selections were interesting and delicious. The Asian-fusion food was good and for the most part melded well with the whisky journey. The ambiance was exactly what I want out of a whisky bar, relaxed and comfortable. This is an excellent place and I recommend a visit for any whisky lover! Note: this review has been altered after a second visit. The text of the first review remains below. Our server did an excellent job of choosing whisky for us - American for me and Scotch for my girlfriend. However, the bar itself was loud and crowded, not really what I was looking for. Four-and-a-half stars for the service, one-and-a-half for the ambiance.

This place is amazing. Super food and service with the best selections of bourbon and whisky. The cocktails are well priced and extremely well made. Great atmosphere. Highly recommend!!

Shout out to the lovely Buena for making our visits so enjoyable. The vegan, gluten free food was absolutely delicious and the dirty chai martini was scrumptious.

Tolles Ambiente, sehr freundliches Personal, mega Auswahl, super Essen. Absolute Empfehlung. Achtung die Treppe zur Toilette hoch und wieder herunter wird bei zunehmender Stunde anstrengender.

Great recommendations, high quality whiskey, and nice atmosphere. Steep stairs to get to restroom. Large portion size for drinks. No cocktails. Super kind bartenders, and they poured me (free) water upon request. No food served here as far as I know.

After living in Amsterdam for one year, we discovered JS William's Whisky Bar and LOVE IT! First off, this is a real whisky bar and has an amazing selection of whisky. The staff is great. They are knowledgeable and friendly. Joao and Matt are great! Now what we did not expect was how good the food is here! WOW! The kitchen team really knows how to make great, tasty and unique dishes. We love the Korean/Japanese spin on the menu items. I highly recommend going there!

Amazing bar with a great atmosphere, really interesting and original cocktails and incredibly friendly staff! We loved it so much we went twice during our weekend in Amsterdam. The staff was really happy to see us again, made a real effort, gave us great recommendations etc Would highly recommend!

We were looking for a small bar with food and character and we found it. The house 'chilled' red wine is superb. The bar snacks are a decent size and delicious. Friendly welcome. Great value.
