Café Old Wembley in Burgwallen-Oude Zijde

One of the best pubs in Amsterdam. I've passed the bar one day, but couldn't stay, but told bartender Mo that I would be back. I came back one week later and he remembered me! The place has an excellent atmosphere, the bartenders make it feel like home, you can easily talk to them or other clients. I'm truly grateful to Mo for the visit and I am sure to come back:)

A decent spot to watch sports in the evening and enjoy a few beers. The food is mainly pub food, nothing special. Furthermore, it is quite busy almost every day, especially on evenings when there is an important match of one kind or another. Service is fine, but not outstanding. Mostly rushed, and sometimes even a bit rude among themselves (two employees were openly arguing). There aren't very many seats.

Amazing bar, good vibes, good music. Super cozy space. The bar mates are great, super talkative and helpful. Anna gave me great tips of Amsterdam. Definitely coming back soon!

Prices are high compared to Spain; a pint of Heineken or Amstel is €6.95 according to the computer, but then it costs €7.20 if you pay by card. They honor the price for cash. But for Amsterdam, it's a good price. To watch the Spain-Argentina match, there were three screens: two TVs, one small and one large, and a projector on the back wall. So, it was good. The bar owner reads the reviews immediately, and if he doesn't like them because of something I noticed, he doesn't hesitate to tell you, even if he's rather rude. The thing is, he eventually sorted it out for me, explaining it. That's why I changed my review from 3 to 4 stars. The bar is right in the heart of Amsterdam's Red Light District, which makes it highly recommended for having beers and watching football.

Absolutely loved our experience at Café Ole Wembley in Amsterdam thanks to Ana! After visiting multiple bars around the city where a lot of people were honestly pretty rude to foreign Americans, Ana completely changed the vibe for us. She was hilarious, welcoming, energetic, and made us feel right at home from the second we walked in. The drinks, atmosphere, and service were already great, but Ana’s personality took the whole experience to another level. Me and my buddies had such a good time that we’re already planning another trip back — and this bar will definitely be one of our first stops because of her. If you’re in Amsterdam, do yourself a favor and stop by Café Ole Wembley!

The beer is okay, but that's about the only positive thing. The music is too loud to communicate with the staff, and the TV games are barely audible. It seems like they don't know if they want to be a sports bar or a club. Unfortunately, the impression is further spoiled by the unapproachable attitude of the girl behind the bar, we felt like we weren't really welcome because we were foreigners. All in all, a pretty bad pub and I wouldn't go back.

I've found a local bar in Amsterdam. The entire staff is exceptionally friendly! You can chat with them about anything. The prices, even though it's right in the Red Light District, are cheaper than any other bar. I promise: I'll definitely come back next time I'm in the area! In November, that is! 😁

Was here last weekend owner put on Everton West Ham for us. Very reasonable price for beers a good experience

An Amsterdam Gem. Very friendly to Americans and very fair with price. The owner and staff treat you like family. Lots a of TVs to watch sports. Large drink selections and very clean. If you come to Amsterdam be sure to stop by.

It's a nice place, the beers are delicious. Also, unlike some places, you are not treated based on your skin color. Both bartenders are very polite.

Typical Dutch bar with friendly staff located at Nieuwmarkt area. Especially that blond Bulgarian girl is loads of fun. All the big matches are played on different screens.

Bartenders are nice and good cool people. As a tourist I'll never know this place from the guide book. There's also a cool kitty cat wonders around if you're lucky 😁

This is one of the best places is the city center. Its a must visit bar, its really warm place. The staff are soo friendly. Its near to all the attractions in red light. Highly recommended
