Poor cocktail selection (maybe 10 at most) , only two alcohol free options. Asked for a coffee, but they won't make it for you (although they use espresso in one of their cocktails). Cocktail is 30% liquid 70% ice block, for 20 eur a glass is a theft honestly. Would not suggest.

The service is great. The signature cocktails, which are apparently in partnership with a "fragrance house" from the US (so much so that you can not ask for changes to them) are hit and miss. The two people I was with had decent coktails but my two sognature cocktails felt both very very underpowered. They both tasted like mocktails, the spirits in them were not detectable at all. I was hoping for more at a price of around 20 euro per cocktail. In the end what both me and my company enjoyed more was the bar's interpretation of classic cokctails (not on the menu) rather than their signature ones. I had a great old fashioned and a friend a very good negroni, both tasting different and better then the what we were used to.

We were so glad the Concierge was able to accomodate our two tables of 4 reservation and place us at a larger table. The drink menu and their particular take on cocktails was ideal. Always a good problem when there are four or five cocktails you juat cant decide on which.

Beautiful space. Excellent team running the place. Posh, elegant atmosphere. Great music. Highly recommended. I did not enjoy the Italian red wine by the glass. The nose and taste were both odd. The other wines by the glass were great.

Lovely place! we popped by for a quick drink before dinner for my girlfriend’s birthday. The waiter immediately brought us 2 glasses of prosecco on the house, although I specified we came just for a quick drink in the reservation. The cocktails were really tasty! All in all nice experience! The prices are on par with other upper priced cocktail bars of Amsterdam.

Two weeks ago, my partner and I visited your bar with high expectations, hoping for a refined cocktail experience in what we had heard was one of Amsterdam’s top-rated spots. We were initially pleased to be seated at a lovely table by the window — unfortunately, everything positive ended there. We found the cocktail menu disappointingly limited, with a noticeable lack of variety. The majority of the drinks featured Bacardi-based spirits, which felt more like a branding push than a curated selection for discerning guests. At €20 per cocktail, we expected a sophisticated and balanced drink — instead, they were underwhelming and noticeably lacking in alcohol content. To make matters worse, the attitude of the staff left much to be desired. The bartenders and servers came across as cocky and self-satisfied, seemingly more interested in projecting an image than delivering genuine hospitality. For a bar that markets itself as high-end, the service felt amateur and inattentive, far from the five-star experience one would expect. All in all, it was a disappointing evening that did not justify the price or the reputation. I hope you take this feedback seriously, as it reflects a gap between your brand image and the actual guest experience.

Amazing cocktails in a super relaxing, luxurious, speakeasy style setting. Don't expect food, and if you order the caviar expect a bit of a wait (I guess they don't get the order super often) but the cocktails are second to none. This is the equivalent (cocktail wise) of PDT in new York or tier in Berlin. Great ambiance.

Honestly came here because we seen it on a Netflix show ! & I was not disappointed. The espresso martini was the best i’ve ever tasted & the old fashioned was top notch ! The bartenders were very informative and fun to watch work. highly recommend

Everything absolutely 5-star. It started out with us trying to find the entrance from the street. We were just looking at the map, when we were asked if we need help by a stranger. Apparently the person worked at the Pulitzer hotel and even not being at work, he wanted to help us. Amazing! And the service at the bar was really attentive and top notch as well, not to mention their drinks. So it was a perfect ending to our weekend in Amsterdam. Thank you for making it special 🙏

A bar with great atmosphere, very kind and professional stuff . I had an amazing experience enjoying my drink. We were served by Stavros which had amazing knowledge about the drinks and he helped us choose what to drink depends on our taste . He made us feel very welcoming!!!

A few years ago, we popped in the dark, swanky and cozy Pulitzer Bar during a light rain. Which is saying a lot considering all of Amsterdam is cozy. It became one of those memorable travel spots you never forget. The low lighting and luxurious club chairs make you feel like you were granted access to a speakeasy. Now, we live down the street and I always look at the faces of couples, friends and families who are making their own new memories.

Thanks to Philip for the great service. So we had an unforgettable evening.

Vastly overpriced, wildly uninteresting. Walking into Pulitzer Bar, the decor is striking. It has a very distinct vibe and the atmosphere is great. The staff is kind. The menus, with interesting illustrations of each cocktail, make you excited about what’s to come. But what comes, is far from exciting. The cocktails, at around €20 per piece, are TINY. Which would be fine, if they were incredible and interesting… which they aren’t. They’re all very sweet and very uninspired when it comes to presentation. But the worst part is most definitely the bar bites. The blinis with caviar are “kwartje”-sized and contain a couple granules of caviar… for 27 EUROS FOR 3. The wagyu yakitori? 32 euros. PER SKEWER. We left with a bill that was 280 euros, not even the slightest buzz after 4 cocktails, and an empty stomach. If you’re going to do expensive cocktails and bar bites, do them right.

A really nice and beautiful place. The bar is part of the hotel, so I recommend making a reservation because it can be a little crowded. The staff is very attentive and friendly. The drinks are delicious. I highly recommend visiting it.

We had a lovely pre-dinner drinks on New Year’s Eve at Pulitzer’s! My husband and I are on our first visit to Amsterdam. He had the Deja Vu (their spin on an old fashioned) and I had the Mirrie Dancers (their spin on a margarita), two rounds because we liked the drinks so much. The vibe was so cozy and it was dark but you could still see the canal. We loved our time and would highly recommend.

El bar está en una zona tranquila de la ciudad, pero a un paseo del centro. Entramos en el bar e inmediatamente nos sorprendió el aspecto del bar. Esta fue la única vez que nos cautivaron durante nuestra visita. Tuvimos una pequeña espera y luego nos recibieron. Sorprendentemente nadie se ofreció a tomar nuestros abrigos que me pareció muy extraño. Nos sentamos en nuestros asientos asignados que eran cómodos. Eventualmente alguien nos compró el menú de bebidas. Pedimos una bebida cada uno y extrañamente el menú fue quitado de nosotros. ¡Muy raro! ¡Debería haber tomado la pista en este momento! Nuestras bebidas llegaron y fueron muy agradables. Sin embargo, ninguna persona vino a vernos o ver si queríamos otra bebida. Por cierto, ya que teníamos dos horas y media hasta que nuestra mesa estaba reservada para una cena. Lo que estaba pasando en el bar era claramente mucho más interesante que ofrecernos cualquier tipo de servicio. Así que después de una hora, veinte minutos de los cuales teníamos vasos vacíos, pagamos y nos fuimos. El dinero que ahorramos haciendo esto pagó nuestra comida y bebidas esa noche. Mi consejo sería evitar este lugar hay mejores y puedo decir sin dudarlo que es el peor servicio que he recibido en un bar de cócteles de 'alta gama'.

PROCEED WITH CAUTION 1 small beer and a small glass of white wine 40 Euros. Crazy money. No brake down on the bill as to what each item cost. I should have questioned the bill but when your under pressure from the staff you don't have time to think.

Thanks to Daan, for his perfectly made cocktails and his company throughout the evening. This place is perfect for having a drink with friends or as a couple. I advise you to go and sit at the bar directly if you are alone or accompanied. You will not be disappointed

El entorno es precioso en el Pulitzer Hotel. El bar está hacia la parte trasera del hotel, y está muy bien decorado. El personal no era demasiado amable, pero está bien. Pensé que el menú de bebidas era tan interesante y me encantó todo el esfuerzo que pusieron en él. Las bebidas eran de alrededor de 20 €, que es casi el doble de lo que pagaría en otros lugares. No me importó pagar 20€ por mi bebida, pero sí que el bloque de hielo rectangular de la clase era casi del tamaño de la copa, lo que significa que apenas había líquido. ¡Lo entendería si estuviera tomando licores en las rocas pero no un cóctel! La experiencia estuvo bien, no fue brillante.

Swanky and comfortable hotel bar, cocktails were a bit pricey however worth it considering the good service and creativity.

As a guest of the hotel, I visited this bar with a client upon landing in the afternoon. My client and I inquired with the extremely rude bartender as to whether they served light bites, given the lobby bar was full. He aggressively replied to us "Ma'am, this is a cocktail bar. Why would we serve food?" I was mortified at this response, considering I was with a client, and also a paying hotel guest. Based on this terrible interaction, I would not recommend this bar to anyone, as there are far superior bar options in the area, especially in other actual five-star hotels.

Como huésped del hotel, visité este bar con un cliente al aterrizar por la tarde. Mi cliente y yo preguntamos con el camarero extremadamente grosero si servían bocados ligeros, dado que el bar del vestíbulo estaba lleno. Él nos respondió agresivamente "Señora, esto es un bar de cócteles. ¿Por qué serviríamos comida? " Me mortificó esta respuesta, considerando que estaba con un cliente, y también un huésped de pago del hotel. Basado en esta terrible interacción, no recomendaría este bar a nadie, ya que hay opciones de hotel de cinco estrellas reales muy superiores en la zona.

Self-proclaimed on their social media the Pulitzer's Bar boast 'The glamour of long lost times enters the modern day at this timeless classic hotel bar' which unfortunately was not the case. Our experience on Friday 4th of October at approx 6:45pm was more along the lines of rude service with a 40 minute wait on two cocktails and maître d' indifference leading to a complaint and departure without any experience of 'timeless classic hotel bar'. We had to leave before the cocktails arrived or anyone provided an update / apology on the delay as we had a dinner reservation [thankfully, elsewhere] When we politely tried to engage with the waiter, we were abruptly reminded that it was "Friday, so very busy". Undoubtedly true and we were fully aware as it was a special occasion we were celebrating. I appreciate that these 'trendy' establishments are a far cry away from the genuine luxury hotel industry in Amsterdam [The Dylan, Pillows Hotels, Waldorf Astoria] but please don't pretend to be 'glamourous' or 'timeless'. Indeed what seems to be truly long lost at Pulizer's Bar is a quality experience of genuine hospitality. A comment like this is bound to get lost in the ether of influencers oblivious to the service in sacrifice of the photo, so keep raking in the money due to your location.

The worst service I’ve seen in Amsterdam. Rude rude host and bartenders Deposit for reservation, but if you come 10 min before your reservation they just close the door in front of you and say to wait. Cocktail are not great and very expensive for what it is If you want to have a really good time go to The Dylan!!

Las reglas no tienen ningún sentido, no se supone que seas más de 4 en una mesa. Si hablas con la mesa de al lado, el camarero vendrá y te dirá que se supone que debes quedarte a tu mesa.

My recent visit to Pulitzer's Bar was nothing short of a disaster. From the moment we walked in, the service was extremely slow and inattentive. It took far too long for anyone to acknowledge us, let alone take our orders. The cocktails we eventually tried were mediocre at best, with a very limited selection that left much to be desired. However, the most shocking aspect of our experience was the fraudulent behavior I encountered. I made a reservation for a table on September 7th at 18:30. However, due to unforeseen circumstances—specifically, heavy rain that delayed our taxi—I called a manager at 18:02 to inform them that my friend and I would be late. Furthermore, my friend called from her phone while we were in the taxi to confirm that our reservation under my name was still valid and that we were simply delayed. We were assured over the phone that everything was fine and that we need not worry. We arrived at the bar around 19:10 and paid our bill of €118 at 23:04. To my shock, on the following day, I discovered that a penalty of €25 was deducted from my account at 19:18 on September 7th—while we were already inside the bar and reviewing the menu. The waiter did not inform us of this penalty at any time during our visit. Upon reviewing bar’s booking policy on the website, it explicitly states that "For no-shows or late cancellations, you will be subject to a fee of €25 per reservation." However, we did not cancel our reservation, and we arrived at the bar, having notified the bar twice of our delayed arrival. For the past three days, I have attempted to resolve this issue through email correspondence with bar’s establishment. Initially, I was promised that the situation would be looked into, but now my emails are being completely ignored. Overall, I cannot recommend Pulitzer's Bar. The combination of slow service, subpar cocktails, and this outrageous fraud leaves a lot to be desired. I would advise anyone considering a visit to think twice and choose a place that values their customers.

Needed to wait more than 20 minutes for a menu, then didn’t receive waters. And struggled the rest of the night to get any attention from the waiters. Another 20 minute wait for the check after asking 3 times. The bartenders were kind, but it was clear that they’re very understaffed

Fui a este bar durante unos días de estancia por trabajo. Fui antes de cenar, a tomar un cóctel de aperitivos. Me fui más tarde de lo esperado, después de beber no uno sino dos cócteles. Excelentemente preparado y servido. El personal (también italiano aquí) era muy atento, servicial y amable. Una agradable sorpresa a su llegada a Holanda. Ya vuelvo.

They still make really good cocktails in the Pullitzer's Bar. Top quality and as a visitor I would definitely recommend the garden. A pearl in the heart of Amsterdam. You will love to come back here for more fine cocktails, snacks and a relaxed atmosphere. Pullitzer's Bar is a pleasure.

Constantly overlooked by staff with attitude

Music was good, venue is pretty. The staff is inattentive and the service is nonexistent. Bartender sent us out of the lounge to check for reservations, when the place was near empty. They did not make eye contact whilst getting drink orders, serving drinks or while getting the check. If you don’t look rich, they will treat you badly.

Outstanding service, the cocktails are definitely worth the money. 100 % recommendation

Very nice! Literally just stumbled upon this bar while walking the city. Only came in for a single cocktail, but it was excellent! Had their Deja Vu old fashioned. Great flavor. Staff were all friendly and attentive. Price was more than reasonable for the quality. Would definitely recommend!

This place takes a 25€ no show fee and then charges you a few days after you go. I went and had a drink and they charged me anyway. Now they refuse to answer my phone calls or email. Stay away!! Shady establishment and money grab.

A place with an outstanding atmosphere with cocktails that has been carefully thought through!!

We visited the bar for some drinks after a family reunion and having got drunk left an important bag in the Pullitzer bar. Thankfully very kind ladies by the names of Jeanne and Melanie immediately realized what was wrong and stored the bag for safekeeping. We collected the bag some moments later and even got the chance to thank her in person as they were just leaving. The bag contained important items so we are forever in their debt and will never forget this kindness. This bar and its staff more than deserves 5 stars. The drinks were stellar, but the bar staff are golden.

Abbiamo ordinato praticamente tutti i cocktail del menu per provarli,e onestamente per 18€,non accetto che sia acquoso, per non parlare della totale mancanza di texture e personalita'.Insomma manca proprio la sostanza,e pure di solito gli italiani sono super bravi ma qui mi sa che hanno assunto quelli sbagliati. A mai piu' !!

Not so long ago it was one of the nicest hotel bars in Amsterdam. Came there often with friends. Went again today. Arrogant bar staff, who wanted to hide us in a corner. Three quarters of the bar was empty. No option to sit anywhere else. Haughty, extremely unpleasant. Is this hospitality?? We just left.

Being French, I can only be seduced by the complete availability, kindness, and helpfulness of Jeanne, who knew how to be super professional during the evening! We were there unfortunately for a sad event, and she was able to make us all smile again! That’s what I call very good recruitment! Keep on going!!!

Lovely place to chill with a drink after a long day sightseeing. Little bit more expensive than others but worth it for the quality of the venue and a bit of extra pampering from the staff.

Coctails are small, like a shot, but very delicious Service was perfect, we sat for around 2 hours, some of us didnt want to drink more than 1 coctail, but they never insisted or asked for another drinks to us, we felt very comfortable. Cocktails 10/10 Honestly one of my top three favorite bars in Amsterdam. The drinks are superior and made with quality ingredients. No hangovers here. My favorite drink was the Avantgarde Caipirinha. Also the espresso martini. Service 10/10 The staff is extremely professional and polite. They even write down some restaurant recommendations for us! Atmosphere 10/10 Beautiful cozy spot with dark dreamy lighting. Clean bathrooms. And a sophisticated feel. I would like to say that this place is on the higher end. So be prepared to spend more money for a cocktail here. But the cocktails are extremely satisfactory and you get what you pay for here.

A cozy place to take a drink with an interior that reminds you of the 1930s/40s. Friendly staff. Fairly small, so busy hours could prevent you from getting a table if you’re a larger party.

One of the best bars in Amsterdam in the welcoming and well-appointed Pulitzer Hotel. The drinks were excellent, but I would review something in the service: the (Sardinian) boy who served us recommended the drinks to take, distinguishing male and female tastes, arguing that "women should take sweet and fruity drinks and men should have stronger alcohol ”. In addition to being an unprofessional and tacky attitude, it is also very unsuitable for the environment, which should be discreet and elegant.

By far the best cocktail bar in Amsterdam! Phenomenal atmosphere and a classy decor paired with great cocktails, both classical and signatures. A perfect place to spend hours in conversation or deep within a book, just make sure to book a table because it gets very busy!

Become a weak tourist destination. This bar was supposedly also 'very bad' for the people of Amsterdam. Experience shows that you can never just get a spot (even if there are several tables available) if you are not staying at the hotel.

Very luxury, on the edge of the quays, the people are pleasant, some plan a little ^^ but overall a good time to relax, very beautiful city in general, the staff are pleasant and helpful, smiling. The cocktails are of choice, it's a bit luxurious, barrock, cosi. Paid street parking access, but on foot it's better, especially when you're having a few drinks ^^
