De Toverbal in Indische Buurt West

Great little spot with lots of locals. Bitterballen & fries were fresh and highly recommend the St. Germaine Spritz (called Hugo in US) was delicious . Wait staff was super friendly, found us a seat amongst the crowd. Even answered a few cultural questions we had!

One of the best pubs in Amsterdam. I've passed the bar one day, but couldn't stay, but told bartender Mo that I would be back. I came back one week later and he remembered me! The place has an excellent atmosphere, the bartenders make it feel like home, you can easily talk to them or other clients. I'm truly grateful to Mo for the visit and I am sure to come back:)

Very unfriendly, arrogant, and dismissive service. It's best to walk 5 minutes further and visit another café.

The man managing the seating was shockingly rude to the woman sitting next to us. He wanted the table cleared for the next couple and aggressively told her she needed to leave immediately. The woman calmly explained that they had already paid and finished their meal, and she was simply waiting for her husband to return from the restroom. There was absolutely no reason for him to speak to her in such a disrespectful and humiliating manner. His behavior showed a complete lack of professionalism, courtesy, and basic human decency. Watching the interaction was uncomfortable and upsetting, and I genuinely felt sorry for the woman. Extremely disappointing.
