We were walking and stopped here for a quick drink and appetizer. My boyfriend got the bitterballen and said it was really good. I got the ginger spritz which was very refreshing and good. It’s a really cute bar and all staff were really friendly too.

Tried the cocktail, sweet fried potatoes, and mulled wine. The mulled wine was served in a very small glass, both the cocktail and fries were quite tasteless. The atmosphere was okay, but we won’t come back again.

Definitely a "must visit" place!!! Chai latte with oat milk is exceptional. The sandwich with chicken and avocado is tasteful. Great atmosphere, reasonable prices. A place I will return 💯

My husband and I, as neighbors, come here regularly. For espresso (sometimes with apple pie) and/or a drink, such as Spa, wine, Amaretto, or something similar. Sometimes fries with the drink. We sometimes sit on benches outside, but the ones attached to the wall are not comfortable! They sit too slanted, and you almost slide off. In nice weather (not too hot), sit on the terrace at the front. The front inside can be cozy, but it can get cold in autumn/winter, even if one door is closed. The open, narrow section still creates a cold wind (especially if the heating is off). Service is always good! Fast and attentive! One drawback: sugar and a cookie used to be served with espresso. Recently, this is no longer the case. Personally, I prefer espresso from a cup (the sugar and cookie could be placed nicely on a saucer). So, as for food, we did have pastries, fries, and appetizers, but we only had lunch once. We will keep coming back, because it is very convenient since we live 'around the corner' (2nd street on the left when we leave your place...).

I very rarely add cafés to my personal “must-visit” list — but this one truly deserves it. The place is wonderful. The staff are very polite and friendly, and the service is fast. The coffee was absolutely delicious, which shows that real professionals are part of the team. I ordered a chicken and avocado sandwich and was pleasantly surprised that it didn’t include mayonnaise or any store-bought sauces. It allowed me to fully enjoy the harmonious combination of the ingredients. Thank you very much to all the staff for creating such an atmospheric place. Food we ordered was awful. Chicken satay was a pre-made/defrosted with a watery sauce on it. First portion was undercooked and cold on the inside. We asked the waitress to see what she could do and she was apologetic and polite. Second attempt was better temperature wise but the quality of it was not good. Sushi was deep fried (also prefab I think) Tacos were filled with mushrooms in a spicy sauce but not very tasty. The atmosphere was good and the girls are working hard but I would only recommend the drinks

We went to this place on the recommendation of our guide, German (Guru Walk). We had a typical toasted sandwich for lunch, accompanied by fries with truffle mayonnaise. We ate super well and at a good price. I've passed by this area several times, and there are quite a few people having drinks and snacks. I recommend this place.

Great place for a drink. Extensive menu. The terrace is pleasant and attracts plenty of visitors. The only minor complaint is that the outdoor bench is wobbly. A cushion would make it even more comfortable.

Big highlight of the establishment: the pleasant terrace in full sun in the afternoon. The cocktails are good, the prices are high but like everywhere in Amsterdam. On the other hand, the service is a big downside. A waiter was very nice but a rather obnoxious waitress (young and dark-haired), not a smile, very snobbish especially with tourists. She passed our table countless times without deigning to take our order. It was finally the male waiter who took care of us after a long wait. The atmosphere is quite stuffy and have-you-seen me, where customers judge each other a lot by staring at each other.

I arrived at 11:30pm because google maps said you were open until 1:30 but the staff said they were closed and counted all the tables. It's a shame your bar closes when the staff wants it to and not at the stated time.

The staff were very nice to everyone, unfortunately i got wasted and puked on the bar counter, they handled it very well.

I had a wonderful time at this cafe! The food was absolutely delicious, and the service was friendly. The only little hiccup was that the chairs on the terrace were a bit wobbly, which was a tiny distraction.

Had the same salad as 2 years ago, but what a difference in quality and taste. So much less, it was now a regular instead of a very tasty salad and somewhat on the small side. Atmosphere is very good, very friendly staff.

Found this little place near the Heineken Experience and it's a gem! We had breakfast and it was lovely! Great Service and atmosphere! Defo recommend- especially if you're thinking of eating somewhere before doing the Heineken Experience!

Great atmosphere, drinks and service!

The worst service you can get from the waitresses. They throw things at you, the food comes out burnt, simple products like two loaves of bread are brought to you in 30 minutes and they tell you it will take 5 minutes when you make the complaint. Please, change the waitresses or educate them, IT'S NOT FREE WE ARE PAYING FOR A PRODUCT

The service is really a disaster. The attention was in very bad taste. The two waitresses who served us threw the food on the table and threw the bill on top of the butter. They brought the coffee and twenty minutes later the croissant. I don't recommend the place to anyone. Bad experience. We had never been treated that way even though they were very respectful and kind.

Perfect place to have a risky breakfast, from fighting with the waitresses to bring a packet of sugar, burnt croissants, and all this with a 30-minute wait. To finish, the waitress threw us the bill on top of the remains of the food (which we couldn't eat since we didn't want to lose our teeth) Quite an adventure

Delicious cocktails in a nice area with great atmosphere

Nice and cozy bar. Most people only come there for the cocktails and tasty wines, but the food, especially the extensive choice of small snacks that are easy to share, are highly recommended! Staff is friendly and alert to possible allergies.

Delicious food here! I can definitely recommend the tataki duck, tempura chicken and gyoza, although I had the feeling that the duck was not completely tataki fried. Furthermore, a very pleasant atmosphere, both inside and outside. The pulled pork pasta was also excellent. I would definitely recommend Bar Dó :)

Very nice cafe with a beautiful sunny terrace. Lots of choice of tasty lunch dishes, but also many types of drinks. It is striking how adequate and friendly the staff is. That alone makes it highly recommended.

It does seem a little touristy and I think most of the other customers were American, but the location was perfect for our needs and the food really impressed us. Everything was delicious and we had probably the best service I’ve ever received in Amsterdam. The theming is on point too.

Excellent place for a drink in the sun. A hot-spot for locals and a nice atmosphere for anyone passing by. My wife says it's the best aperol spritz in Amsterdam.

Local bar food places. I was there with my family to grab a quick and simple lunch. The heated up pre-packaged meatball was so so and the thin cut beet Broojee is expected as it should be. We are the only Asian like customers so the waiter make a really interesting/ and waited facially expression when I placed the order. I was going to order more but her disrespectful facially expression kind of turned it down. the other waiter is more friendly to help us check out the bill. But they were super rush to give us the bill not sure if this is the tradition in Holland or this is something special for this restaurant. All in all I wouldn’t recommend you visit if you have other choices

We had best time spending the afternoon at BarDo!!! Our waitress Kiki offered the best service we could have imagined. She got us the table even tho it was busy and made our night in Amsterdam. We can’t wait to comeback to BarDo. Kiki we miss you already, see you next time, get the martinis ready for us ! Best wishes from Germany :)

Nice place if you want to take public transport to the Rijksmuseum and want to eat and drink something nearby. Friendly service that just wants to please you.

Love this place for cocktails. They are extremely good here, especially the espresso martinis and p*rnstar martini. You don’t necessarily need to make reservations, but would recommend it because it’s usually busy, very much so if it’s sunny (they have a terrace that has afternoon sun). The staff are also nice and friendly.

I had come here before and I used to like it However, this time I was waiting 40 min for my food before they realized "it had gone to the trash bin" and it wouldn't be ready. I got my beer for free but I wanted food...

I have cycled past here several times but never been inside. Don't be put off by the people drinking outside at the top, you can have a nice and quiet meal. Great service and atmosphere, I will definitely come back here.

Good cocktails and super friendly staff!

I frequently take visitors from abroad to lunch and dinner at Bar do, I have historically liked it a lot. but at my latest visit the service and food quality was incredibly low. The tartare tasted questionable, we waited almost an hour for our main pizza, and the salad was simply inedible. When we mentioned this to the waitress we were argued with which made for a very uncomfortable rest of the meal. Will not be returning
