Super delicious, great service!

A restaurant right on the harbor – such a charming place! We were particularly impressed by the friendly and attentive service. The food was also delicious, and they were very accommodating to our requests. The vegan mushroom sticks with salad and a slice of whole-wheat bread were beautifully prepared. We also really enjoyed the atmosphere, and everything was very clean and well-maintained. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal here and had a great start to our tour of Harlingen.

A small restaurant facing the harbor, offering mainly seafood dishes and a bar. The kibbeling was excellent. The Italian woman who served us was very friendly and nice.

It isn't that difficult to serve good kibbeling or fish and chips, but why is it done so rarely? Jonas Harlingen is a delightful exception to that. Sparkling fresh fish with fine fries, fresh garnish, and a salad—voilà! I gladly drive from Leeuwarden to this place, especially since it's in a prime location. Right, it probably all sounds like the owner is writing his own reviews, but I mean it sincerely. Just simple, tasty, well-fried fish and fries!

Good food, perfect location, but too expensive for what is offered. A portion of battered fish with a small bowl of fries and a side of vegetables costs almost 20 euros. Lower the prices by 25% and you will get at least 50% more customers.

Nice spot to sit, but be aware that there are chairs so low to the ground that while it is comfortable, you almost can't get out of them... the food was simple but perfectly edible.

I absolutely loved my fish and chips here. The best I have ever had! Friendly and helpful staff. The appeltaart was also very delicious, erg lekker. I will certainly be returning here when I am next in this gorgeous part of the Netherlands.

We had a really large and fresh portion of fish and chips. Very tasty, and the service at the kibbeling food truck was polite and friendly. The only downside was the neglected seating, which was a shame.

Nice place, but unfortunately we were not at all impressed with the kibbeling: unfortunately very bland and fried for far too long. Too bad, that's why we came to the harbor.

A nice cup of coffee on a sunny day

The location is nice and the staff does their job well. Unfortunately, we all left hungry. The burger consists of a single patty and the kibbeling is just a few pieces for €20. Given the location, that is somewhat understandable, but the portions are really disappointing. Even a side dish like fries has to be shared by three people, and that is just a small bowl. In short: the location and atmosphere are fine, but the portion size was a major letdown for us.

This really goes too far. These people let you order, you lit a nice cigarette outside after your meal, and the gentleman sends us away because smoking isn't allowed outside? Excuse me? We naturally walked up without paying, thanks for that. But this is discrimination, and we will therefore file a police report!

Definitely worth a visit. Delicious food at fair prices, a lovely atmosphere, and very friendly staff.

Unfortunately, there was no bread roll with the fish sandwich, yet we still paid full price. The kibbeling (battered fish pieces) were undercooked. To top it all off, the owner gave us a hard time because we parked our bike trailer with the dog next to our table (corner seat outside). Of course, only after we had paid and left a tip. Never again!

First time in Friesland and this is delicious, highly recommended.

I got a container of kibbeling; at first, she had already forgotten about me. Well, it wasn't busy. When I got home, I saw that 8.50 had been debited for a mini container of fish. With a small paper pot of ravigot sauce that was already yellow and rancid around the edges. So, a huge disappointment. A one-time thing for me.

We enjoyed a lovely meal outside, out of the wind. The way the kibbeling was served to us was unlike anything we've ever had before. Superb presentation! Tastes differ, and our kibbeling could have been a bit more seasoned; we found it bland. Otherwise, excellent, with friendly and service-oriented staff.

Nice service, nice atmosphere, but my meal wasn't good. The fish was twice-cooked in my opinion, and you had to hunt for the advertised salad. They simply charged too much for it. The beer was delicious.

We had a fantastic wedding there. The staff and hostess were very friendly and made everything possible. The food was excellent (walking dinner). The atmosphere was cozy and beautifully decorated by Jonas. (He provided it himself.) A BIG 10.

We ended up here on a Sunday afternoon around 5 p.m. There was a large sign advertising "delicious pulled chicken tacos," but it was no longer available. 7up and casis were also sold out. So we ordered kibbeling with fries. We had to wait 30 minutes for it. Sorry, but this could and should be better.

We ended up here today. First for a drink. There was nothing wrong with it. Since the food looked good, we came back later. Unfortunately, they were out of casis and 7-Up. I ordered a coke. We both ordered food as well. After 10 minutes, they came to tell us the dish couldn't be prepared anymore because it was gone. So we quickly ordered another one. The fries were expensive for the amount we got. The kinbelings were tasty, but the salad turned out to be a piece of tomato, two slices of cucumber, and a lettuce leaf. Unfortunately, we both left hungry. When we paid, we also charged for the dish, which wasn't there. So, it wasn't adjusted.

Located on the outer harbor, it features a great awning and windbreak for the outdoor area. Views of the ships in the harbor.

Tucked slightly away from the main path, this restaurant is well worth the detour. It offers a pleasant terrace with both sunny and shaded seating, and the staff are welcoming. The menu is straightforward, featuring well-prepared fish and meat dishes and some local beers. Service was somewhat slow due to the busy atmosphere, but the staff acknowledged this and offered their apologies.

Ate with a somewhat larger group, and can only say that it was very tasty. And everything came neatly at the same time !!! And not unimportant what a top location !!! We will definitely come back here 😋

Yesterday celebrated birthday at Jonas with a High Tea upstairs. Extensive mail about the High Tea. Perfect service and extremely friendly and knowledgeable staff. Excellent consideration for gluten- and lactose-free. Great entourage......to come back soon.

Food was delicious but that's where the positives end unfortunately! Service no eye for an empty glass on the table, I have to ask for it myself. Unfortunately witnessed a literally understandable telephone conversation between the owner and someone else, a lot of shouting and screaming, why do we have to hear that?? Table was not clean and there was still an empty bottle and a used napkin on our table! I also didn't know that a smoked eel sandwich consisted of 1 slice of bread with 4 pieces of eel, was still hungry and that for almost 15 euros!

...we received a very friendly welcome and immediately felt at home! The food was excellent! We'll be back!

Anyone traveling anywhere in Harlingen must stop by here and eat kibbeling. The chef clearly prepares the dishes with a lot of love, otherwise the dishes wouldn't be so delicious and imaginatively presented. 100% recommended!

Yesterday we ate a delicious kibbeling in the cozy tent. It looked beautiful and it tasted very good. Beautiful atmospheric place and friendly cheerful staff with a fantastic view of the harbor. Highly recommended.

Harlingen, Yeah! And then Jonas is a wonderful place to stay, to be warmly welcomed after a walk with the dog and to enjoy a delicious latte or coffee verkeerd. Or at the end of the afternoon bitterballen, delicious sandwich, kibbeling with beer or wine (the sauvignon blanc / catch and release is great by the way). We feel at home immediately. Whether you are sitting inside or on the terrace with a beautiful cool view. !!!! Ooh and new and immediately recommended: Fish and chips with dab, delicious flatfish!!! Gr Han and Karin

We had a delicious kibbeling and fish here. Yes, if you have just had a nice walk in the area and are completely cold and fresh, what could be better than eating a delicious fish. Very friendly service, great atmosphere too. Definitely recommended to experience it yourself.

15.50 euros for a modest portion of fries and kibbeling. Kibbeling without taste and greasy. Disappointing and overpriced. A nice location and we understood that we had to wait a while for service and food + drinks. But not recommended.

Beautiful place, nice service, but we had to ask if we could order something after waiting 15 minutes... when it was finally brought, they did not say what it was... that my daughter's pastry came later because it had to be prepared in the kitchen, it was also not said... after 10 minutes I asked again where it was. The prices are too high for what you get, 8.50 for a skere Irish Coffee... unfortunately it was not real whipped cream but from a spray can. Pastries were tasty but too expensive for what we got. Too bad you responded that you were at our table and indicated that the pastry came from the kitchen? You weren't at our table!?? After everyone had finished their cake after about 10 minutes, I walked over to you. You were then standing behind the bar and only then did you tell us that the pastry had come from the kitchen... it's a pity that you turn the story around and pretend that it is due to our patience...
