Hele uitgebreide en super lekkere high tea gehad in een leuke omgeving . Alles was van hele goede kwaliteit en er werd ook heel goed rekening gehouden met allergieën! Echt één aanrader

Lovely food and good coffee. Great if you are with kids, perhaps not so great if you don’t like kids. Very friendly service, with a lot of patience…

The breakfast was delicious, and the staff were friendly and attentive. The atmosphere was lively, though a bit noisy with kids playing inside. If you don’t mind a bustling, family-friendly vibe, it’s a nice spot to start your day.

Delicious breakfasts for a nice price

The service was extremely disinterested and unfriendly and in my opinion unworthy of Zanten (especially if you are used to Hillegersberg and West). Unfriendly staff who, upon entering, gave us the feeling that we were not the kind of people who normally come into the business. Whether this happened consciously or unconsciously is irrelevant, this is how we unfortunately experienced it. Now I am normally not that sensitive to this and I also think it is a nasty card to draw, but it was really the case here, especially because the surrounding tables simply received a friendly approach and smile. The sandwich and the pancakes were tasty and fortunately WELL what I am used to at Juffrouw van Zanten, but I will never see the branch in Kralingen again. We regret that we did not sit 2 doors further from Van Maanen, because they are happy no matter who comes in. Unfortunately Kralingen gets 2/10

Super friendly and really take people with brain injuries into account by turning off the music on request!

Miss van Zanten on the Lusthofstraat has a cozy atmosphere. Fortunately, my second visit has no negative connotations. The breakfast (yogurt with fresh fruit) was delicious. The service was very nice and the price was not too bad. It is a child-friendly location. A must go to for fathers, mothers and grandparents!

What a nice place this is! Our 3-year-old toddler really enjoyed the play corner downstairs. And we were surprised with the menu. Not very standard, which we see as positive! There is also plenty of choice for the toddler, so he enjoyed a banana pancake. All in all a great experience and certainly one we will return to!

Fun for the kids, but often with the kitchen closed during lunch breaks, which I find a bit awkward. Staff sometimes less sympathetic. In 2 different situations I came with my husband (tan man) and in both situations there were no available tables according to staff and that everything was reserved. I thought that was quite bizarre!

The food was tasty, but a simple piece of bread with some lettuce and mackerel for €10.25 is way too expensive.

Heerlijk gegeten bij Juffrouw van Zanten op lokatie Hilligersberg. Fijne sfeer in het restaurant en heel aardige bediening. Is zeker een aanrader gezien de kwaliteit prijs verhouding.

Very mediocre experience, especially by the staff. There was not a smile or a kind word, and even came across as slightly irritated. And it took a long time before the order was taken even though it was very quiet. Food was okay but not excellent, especially for this price. There is tastier bread in the Rotterdam catering industry. I won't be coming back here again. Too bad, because JvZ Kralingen has a nice appearance, until you come into contact with the service.

Gnome Smulpaap came cycling by with Kwebbel🚲 and decided to go out and have coffee☕ with Miss van Zanten. There wasn't one, but the nicest staff gave us a lunch menu. We sat down on the couch. Ordered coffee, cappucino and a goat cheese sandwich. Parasols well placed and provided enough shade. Most tables were occupied and there was a group of young and not so young people happily working, chatting and eating. Coffee☕👌was good. Fragrantly dark and served in nice, fine, good mugs. Better than small cups.👍👌 According to Kwebbel, the goat🐐 cheese🧀 sandwich🥪 was a bit too brown, hard and too greasy🤷‍♂️ anyway, try another dish next time. Other guests might like something like that. About taste...... Next time stop for coffee. Kabouter likes to drink Irish coffee but didn't see it on the menu. Next time take a closer look🙏👀🤣

Expensive and uncomfortable seats

Nice high tea for a baby shower. Various options and dietary wishes can be discussed in advance. Quantity was more than enough and we got the remainder to take home.

Good coffee shop, but service leaves much to be desired. I come here every week for the delicious coffee, cakes and lunch. It is also nice that there are many newspapers and magazines to read and the play corner is also very pleasant for people with children. Even though I come there every week, the staff cannot handle more than what is strictly necessary. A chat with the staff is not an option and even you are usually only wished a nice day if you first expressly do so yourself. The thing is that this tent is in a convenient location for me, but otherwise I wouldn't be a regular customer. But if you do not value service and are only looking for good coffee, it is a good place to go.

De keuken van juffrouw van Zanten is uitstekend. Na een eerste minder prettige ervaring zijn we terug gegaan en waren verrast door een prettige bediening, uitstekende keuken en de gezellige ambiance. We zijn terug gekomen omdat de bedrijfsleiding belde waarom onze eerste ontmoeting minder goed verlopen was. Dit is zeer op prijs te stellen. Good place and very politely personal, definitely recommended!

It's a disappointment every time we go to Juffrouw van Zanten on the Lusthofstraat. The kitchen was 'closed' at 3 p.m. because apparently they could not handle 2 high teas for +/- 4 people. Several guests have gotten up and left as they advertise they are open until 5:30 PM. The staff hangs around too much behind the coffee counter. Want to make a coffee with 2 people? Doesn't seem efficient to me, especially when the place is full. Once before we had to wait 35 minutes until our bitterballen finally went into the deep fryer. Staff were once again chatting with each other behind the counter. And ordered on the terrace on Saturday morning (!!), but no coffee after 20 minutes. No one asked in the meantime if we had gotten all our drinks. Then I got up and left. Every time we give you a chance, only to be disappointed again. Take an example from other catering establishments in Kralingen where, despite the staff shortage, they still provide the best service.

Mint tea with a sugar-free pastry taken for €8.50, super expensive and you get little in return. Sugar-free pastries are bought from Sue for €3 and resold for €4.5 and your food and tea are all made by hand without gloves. unsanitary last time I come here very disappointed

Nice place, ideal with children.

We had a brunch in this restaurant during our stay in Rotterdam. We genuinely enjoyed it: the food is absolutely delicious, the ingredients so fresh, and the staff is kind & nice! Moreover, there is an area for children where they cab stay and play, that's really great for families!

De was erg druk dus het duurde even, maar het personeel werkte erg hard en vriendelijk, en het eten was het wachten waard. Ik ben ook erg onder de indruk hoe vriendelijk een arrogante buurtgenoot heel vriendelijk geholpen wordt ik zou dat geduld niet hebben

Matige bediening, club sandwich zalm zonder zalm???? Moet je volgende keer melden aldus bediening... jullie moeten er zalm in doen en ik kom geen volgende keer beste mensen!

One of my favorite places in Rotterdam. Nice place, friendly staff, nice neighborhood :)

Wir haben landestypisch gefrühstückt. Es gab Adokavo Toast mit Ei und eine Art Zimt Puffer. Es war sehr lecker. Kleines Restaurant mit Caffee Charakter.

Always a warm welcome and we leave with a satisfied, full belly. See you again soon.

Celebrated our son's birthday here, everything was arranged down to the last detail and the service was great!!!

We made a reservation here because we wanted to have breakfast. Was spoken to so rudely, left immediately. A coffee please. “Yes, what kind of coffee” Uhhhh, just normal coffee. “Yes, what is normal” Finished. Directly. Ajuus. Next time, please indicate your choice, or provide a menu. But don't be so passive aggressive and rude!

It was tight, and they also didn't have enough toys for all the children.

We waren met een grote groep, de plek was fijn, rustig, weinig andere mensen, een speelhoek voor kindjes tm 4 jaar. Maar omdat we met een grote groep waren mochten we maar uit 3 dingen van de kaart kiezen. Tieners die niet van vis/groente en biefstuk houden kregen geen andere optie. Voorgerecht was geen keuze, en was allemaal vis. We zaten er bijna 3 uur, toen we net ons hoofdgerecht ophadden. Duurde allemaal veelste lang. De steak was wisselend gebakken, ene deel was rare, andere deel medium. De smaak was wel heel lekker. De kleine kindjes kregen ook 3 opties, waarvan de pancakes volkoren?veggie? Achtig waren...niet lekker. En de andere optie was gebakken visje. Dat was dus geen vistick maar een echt visje, had er wel bij vermeld mogen worden. Personeel was vrij nors, hield ons niet op de hoogte waarom het allemaal zo lang duurde. Al met al, geen fijne ervaring en een beetje zonde van het geld.

Good food and a nice place to sit. But we waited more than an hour for lunch (ordered 1:20 PM, received food at 2:30 PM). The service also responded poorly to our complaint. The staff did not communicate well. There were only 2 people in the kitchen so I think they need another cook. If this is not possible, they must warn people in advance that it may take a long time before you receive food.

Nice place, but it is always too noisy here for us... we tried to have breakfast here again today, but after 5 minutes my 9-year-old daughter asked if we could please leave because she too became very irritated by Playing and screaming children combined with the noise from the kitchen was too much for us...

Nice place, service sometimes slow but overall good food and nice vibe

Bastante decepcionante. Pedí un extra de bacon en el sándwich especial de aguacate y literalmente me pusieron UNA loncha de bacon por un extra de 3€. Yo trabajo en un Brunch y ya me parece caro cobrar 2,75€ extra por bacon, pero ponemos 4-5 lonchas. Lo de aquí fue de broma. El chai latte muy aguado. Seguramente el tipo de leche que usan es muy aguado o tienen que batir bien. La comida encima tardo 42minutis contados a reloj, y a pesar de estar llena la terraza no justifica tardar tanto. Una vez que recibimos la comida, no teníamos aún cubiertos para poder comer. Igualmente pedí agua embotellada y me la trajeron sin un vaso. Detalles pequeños pero en conjunto hay que analizar para poder mejorar. Tuvieron un bonito detalle de dejar chocolates Tony al pedir la cuenta. Eso me gustó mucho.

Nice place for a Sunday brunch!

Koffie was prima, bananenbrood en chocolate chip cookie waren heel droog. Niet veel kinderstoelen beschikbaar en de kinderspeelplek beneden was niet bepaald uitnodigend. Verder een gezellige locatie, lekker om buiten op het terras te zitten met mooi weer.

Hier een club sandwich Kip gegeten. Brood was matig en karig belegd voor de prijs.

Gezellige goede high tea gehad. Alleen bediening wat chaotisch waardoor wij soms wat langer moesten wachten op onze drankjes of opnieuw moesten vragen omdat de bestelling vergeten was. Wij zaten op het terrasje. Super gezellig. Binnen is het wel erg druk ivm kinderen. Is eigenlijk binnen meer een mamma en pappa cafe. Desalniettemin toch een aanrader het knus is en het eten en drinken goed is.

Great place for a coffee or lunch, their card ain't big but they were already sold out in some dishes (everything with salmon) even though it was just past noon, besides that great place and good food.

Fijne plek in een gezellige winkelstraat. De gerechten waren goed op smaak, maar de portie was niet heel groot. Lekkere koffie.

Leuke locatie. Leuke bediening. Voldoende ruimte om te zitten. Zo wel binnen als buiten.

Helaas niet meer wat het is geweest. In de periode van april/mei meerdere keren gehad dat de keuken al vroeg dicht was, zaken er niet zijn, een high limonade afnemen was erg lastig en personeel heel wisselend. Jammer.

Too slow, no napkins, no plates but the food is good

Wij, zussen, hebben een dagje gefietst door onze geboortewijk Kralingen. Wat is dat nog steeds een fantastische wijk. Bij Juffrouw van Zanten neergestreken op het buiten terras. Schitterend voorjaarszonnetje. Bediening heel lief en geduldig, ondanks de drukte en de thee en banaanbrood was heerlijk. We komen zeker terug!

Mega vriendelijk personeel, altijd ruime hoeveelheden en fijne locatie.

De brunch voor twee personen is een aanrader

Echt een geweldig en leuk ingericht restaurant met een kaart die heeft rekening gehouden met verschillende personen. Het eten zelf was ook echt super lekker en heel erg goed bereid. Bediening was ook super snel en heel erg aardig en begripvol. We hebben nog wat extra's gekregen, wat onze ervaring hier nog specialer en leuker maakt. Dit restaurant is echt een aanrader als je opzoek bent naar een knus en gezellig plekje voor een ontbijt, lunch of een high tea!

Lekker broodje gegeten heel vriendelijk ontvangen

Geweldige locatie met uiterst vriendelijk personeel. De sfeer was ontzettend gezellig en warm met een mooi terras gelegen in Kralingen. De jongen achter de bar samen met de kokkin hadden een geweldige uitstraling bij binnenkomst. De bediening zelf zijn twee top vrouwen met een hele attente werkhouding. De Suus Favorite met alles erop en eraan is een aanrader, mede door de lekkere honing mosterd dressing en het zachte gepocheerd eitje.

Gezellig druk en vriendelijk bediend.

The food was pretty good, but the service was unfortunately quite poor. We were not greeted upon arrival, the waiters paid little attention to us and were unfriendly whenever we requested anything such as ordering a drink or asking for the bill.

Ideaal om met kleine kinderen een feestje te vieren. Want van de weg en het restaurant afgesloten ruimte met speelgoed, etc. Goed voor lunch, high tea, etc. Bediening houdt het bij drukte soms niet bij. Zijn aardig, maar niet praktisch; tussendoor wel eten brengen (prima), maar niets afruimen en opruimen.

Bananenbrood niet warm, fruit bleek één versneden aardbei te zijn. Sfeer was goed maar die maak je zelf.
