Honestly amazing! Everything was ready when I arrived and the food was just perfect. This was the best Indian I’ve had in Amstelveen.

The first starter came after 45 mins of placing the order and the main course after 15 to 20 more mins. Staff was not acknowledging the delays at all. Not recommended if you value time.

We’ve visited several times over the past year, and the food has been consistently excellent each time. We usually stick to our favorite menu items, and they never disappoint. When we bring guests, we like to try a few new dishes, which are always enjoyable and tasty. The food quality and service are both top-notch, and I highly recommend this place. Personal favorites include the chilly chicken, Chicken Karara, Mutton Karara, Garlic Naan, Rasamalai etc.

The food was varied. The Mixed Non-Veg Platter as a starter was very disappointing: it lacked flavor and everything tasted too similar. The papadums, on the other hand, were very good, and the tandoori chicken was also excellent – ​​highly recommended. The separate naan I ordered with it was unfortunately a disappointment: far too greasy, with extra oil on top. I definitely want to come back here again, but it's important to know what to order. Choosing something blindly can be disappointing.

Unwelcoming Experience I stopped by Kasturi Indian Restaurant urgently needing to use the toilet. I kindly asked the staff if they had one, and I even offered to buy a coffee just to use it. At first, the person at the counter said "okay," but then changed his mind and told me it was “only for other people.” It was disappointing and felt very unfriendly, especially since I was being polite and willing to make a purchase. A bit of kindness and understanding would have gone a long way. This experience made me feel very unwelcome, and unfortunately, I won’t be coming back.

It's a strange environment to eat Indian cuisine in the Netherlands etc. But it's not a cuisine for us Turks. It's very good while eating but the spices spoil the day afterwards :()

The food is authentic, all the dishes are cooked to perfection. My personal favorite are Aloo tikkie chat, paneer jhalfarazi, garlic naan and paneer tikka tandoori. It is a cozy place so make sure you make reservations to avoid disappointment.

Booking in advance isn't essential. When we were there on a Sunday evening, it was quite quiet. We ordered the aloo chaat and onion bhaji as appetizers. Both dishes were well-balanced in flavor and texture. For our main course, we shared the mattar paneer and naan. I found the curry quite oily; the oil soaked into the curry. The flavors were good, though. The naan was excellent: light yet crispy.

It was soooo good!! I took the Jackfruit with the whole wheat spicy Naan, both their speciality’s and would definitely recommend! Big portions too, can eat it tomorrow again and won’t complain. And they are very friendly too!

An amazing spot for Indian food! We've tried most Indian restaurants across Amsterdam, Amstelveen, and Utrecht, but this one truly stands out for its authentic flavors. Living in Utrecht but this has become our forever go-to for Indian cuisine. Simply the best!

Love their North Indian cuisine and service. Recently, they introduced Kathal masala (Jackfruit). Do try - one of the few places in Amsterdam where you can experience this sabzi.

We travelled from Norway to throw a surprise birthday party for our daughter. Excellent food, service. They allowed us to bring a cake. They even gave a gulabjamun and whipped cream dessert, with sparklers and birthday song. Made it very special. Drinks and food were great. Highly recommended if in Amsterdam.

Delicious food from the street food menu. Ordered 8 dishes with 4 people. That was more than enough. Everything was fresh and deliciously prepared. Service very friendly as well as the price. With 2 drinks, less than 30 euros. Definitely recommended.

Good food, I do have some comments that I would like to discuss on location. These do not detract from the delicious food and friendly service.

Disappointing food. Paneer roll - only cabbage(raw), no paneer, no taste, very very disappointing. Veg fried rice were sweet :-( again RAW cabbage, disappointing Veg noodles, again inedible Vada Pao - disaster Chicken momo - filling was pathetic Veg biryani - vegetables missing, only rice even those were not even close to biryani rice Chicken tandoori - fair but again no spices, absolutely bland I really doubt genuiness of the reviews.

Excellent dishes, taken away, which are so good and plentiful that we have had several meals with them. The plain Naans, on the other hand, were average in our opinion, but a naan is best eaten straight out of the oven! Very warm and friendly welcome. The restaurant is very welcoming, I would have liked to go there. Quite spicy (perfect for me, more so than in France)

Recently, i came for europe trip of 15 days. Visited a lot of places and tries lots of food. But spices here is no where near Indian spicy. Recently i visited to Kasturi Restaurant and was really surprised to find such authentic Indian food. It was such a relief to find such a good Indian food specially pav bhaji and vada pav. I didn’t found such good Mumbai street food even in north India. Such good taste. I will surely go there again when i visit Netherland. Staff was also very nice and ambience was also very good. I really enjoyed the food, ambience. There is a choice of seating outdoor as well as indoors. I forgot to click photo of food but clicked photo of restaurant for reference 😉

The very best place for Indian food. They say the food tastes like home, and even though I've never been to India, I understand that. Delicious fresh food, authentic flavors, from classics to street food. You can't choose wrong. The people are incredibly friendly. You can pick up, but the restaurant is also a nice place. Later in the evening you will see a lot of Indian people (always a good sign). I prefer this restaurant to all the hip places in Amsterdam! Highly recommended.

I recently visited Kasturi Indian Restaurant and ordered the mixed grill from the Tandoor section. Unfortunately, my experience was quite disappointing. The dish was missing the lamb chops, even though they were clearly listed on the menu. This oversight was a letdown, as I was looking forward to enjoying the complete meal as described. Additionally, the vegetarian manchurian dish was quite bland and not authentic. Overall, my visit left much to be desired in terms of food accuracy and flavor.

Food taste is awesome. Dish quantity is more than usually get in Europe. I liked the complementary salad plate i.e. onions, lemon and chilly. We visited with family and all licked their fingers. If you are near by must visit it.

Went here pretty late (21:45), thinking that if I cannot sit and eat, I'll just get a takeaway as I was starving. They were incredibly welcoming - told me I could sit and take my time. The food was absolutely delicious, service amazing. I think I just found my favourite restaurant in Amstelveen. You should try cheese and garlic naans - will be thinking about these for a long time!

If you’re looking for good North Indian food, Kasturi is a must visit then. Proper authentic punjabi taste. Loved the Dal makhani here topped up by amazing service by Mr Bharat…five stars!!!

The food is really fantastic, you get fresh, delicious naan. Made in front of you, not one from a frozen package with the perforated points already in it. For the rest we had the dish with okra, the one with roasted eggplant and paneer makhandi. Delicious dishes. 5 out of 5 stars. I don't get my Indian food anywhere else anymore. What a gem of a restaurant!

Today we had a dinner at Kasturi just before attending a concert in Amstelveen. First of all, we were warmly welcomed by the staff and when we mentioned that we were in a hurry and needed to leave in 45 minutes, everything was organized impeccably swift. We ordered saag paneer, tikka masala and cheese naan, and were pleasantly surprised by the richness of taste and size of portions (honestly, one curry would have been enough to feed 2 hungry people). This is very much a hidden gem, and from now on I’d be looking for an opportunity to return to Kasturi again.
