Best place to dine in at amstelveen

Visited Amstelveen restaurant multiple times, the food taste is awesome and consistent. Recently they catered food for an event in our family, all the guests enjoyed the food.

A descent in Indian restaurant the pani puri and pav bhaji is good.we tried chicken 65 and few others too. Not too pricey .

What a delicious meal you can have here, special dishes, something different, nice and spicy, staff is very friendly, highly recommended

Great variety of dishes, and everything we ordered was very good. Watch out for the spicy food. We chose dishes with a maximum level of 2, and we were on the limited menu. It's a shame about the beer in the random glass. The price was good, about 35 per person. Overall, a nice discovery.

Good food, a recommended place

Having heard a lot abt this restaurant, I wanted to try some of their varieties. Unfortunately, I felt this is overrated. Here is the review on 2 of my pickup orders recently: 1. Hyd Chicken Dum Biryani: Somehow, it does not taste Hyd style, the chicken was a little raw & hence could not enjoy much. 2. Prawns Sukka: Excellent in taste. 3. Chicken Kothu Parotta: While the taste is good, chicken is tad raw similar to my previous pickup. TMD & Atchaya are way better at least in Kothu dishes. Dont plan to order any chicken items going forward.

Edit- Received a call and they've taken feedback. Food quality is back to good Quite drastic and genuine decline in food quality. It began as a really great place for South Indian food. However, past 3 times I've ordered food, it's been a downhill story. Dosa ordered in restaurant was limp, soggy and just not good. Briyani quality is down the drain. Guess their demand has gone to their head. Will stop ordering now. Very dissatisfied!

Used to be my favorite, but not anymore I’ve been a loyal customer of Tummy Treat in Amstelveen for quite some time — their food used to be absolutely amazing, full of flavor and freshly prepared. It was one of those places you could always count on for a delicious meal. Unfortunately, ever since they opened their new branch in Hoofddorp, something has really changed. The food quality has gone downhill — the dishes taste bland and even the presentation feels careless now. It’s disappointing to see such a drastic change from what used to be one of the best spots around. I genuinely hope they get back to their original quality because Amstelveen deserves the old Tummy Treat back.

Must try the perfectly spiced seekh kebabs served hot with perfect green chutney. Also crispy flavourful dosa and idli sambhar. Great food and good quality!

One of the best Indian restaurant in Amstelveen

We were there with another family. It has an Indian Ambience to it. The food was good. We ordered “Diwani Handi”, and “Shahi Paneer”. Diwani Handi was tasty but the Shahi Paneer was filled with too much of salt. I wouldn’t recommend it the Shahi Paneer. The mango lassi was good. The service was also very good. Overall a good Indian restaurant to spend an evening.

The taste is really good. The rates are also very nominal and quality of food is very good. I have tasted many items in their menu multiple times and all were good. Strongly recommended.

This is not the same tummy treat as it used to be , the taste with all rich gravy , it’s not linger here . Really disappointed Also the quality of paneer tikka masala, it was not grilled it was baked in oven then given to you I don’t recommend this place

An Average India restaurant in this region. We ordered Chicken biryani which was not up to the mark and rice had to be cooked for some more time. It was conveyed to the restaurant person and I hope the taste will improve.

Visited during lunchtime on a weekday. Once a long time ago I got a masala dosa and pani puri and now that we happened to be in the area, I looked at the reviews and decided to drop by. But this was not a success. Indicated in advance whether they could adjust the spiciness due to stomach complaints and medication and that was no problem according to the waiter. I noticed that the menu was different and almost everything was spicy, 3 chillies. The waiter indicated that the dishes with 1 Chili were not spicy at all, 2 medium and 3 very spicy. My mother can eat quite spicy food. The staff indicated that the dosa is not spicy, only the sambar and red chutney. But they would make the dosa less spicy so that I could eat it too. This was not the case a few years ago, but I think there are other chefs working there. My mother took 1 bite of the dosa and almost choked on the amount of chili in it. She had not touched the chutneys and sambar. The waiter immediately tried to offer all kinds of desserts, so we immediately had the dosa taken away and only ate the curry. This was a shrimp curry. This one had hardly any flavor, including none of the herbs. The naan was full of oil that was leaking from it. The jeera rice was okay. So it's very strange that the difference between 1 chillie is that you go from no taste to extremely spicy. So a no go for us. Very annoying that people do not pay attention and indicate that dishes do not contain something while they do. Then also sick for a few days from the food.

Fantastic food, best place to have both north and south indian food.

We have been ordering from Tummy Treats for at least two years. The last order made both my husband and my stomach sick for a week. Either they changed their chef or they started procuring low-quality products, but we’ll never order from them again. It's a huge disappointment.

Ordered Ambur Lamb Biriyani recently, it used to be one of my favourite in this restaurant in the past. Not sure what went wrong, it is not the same dish it used to be here. Better to remove it from the menu.

Overpriced, only one person serving more than 50 people - overworking, rude and inefficient.. the quality and quantity has reduced manifold and Tummy treats isn't the same as it used to be...with expansion in their restaurants they are not up keeping their food quality. Starters were non crispy, bland and v small in portion size.. soups were tasting stale and oily!! We ordered 4 gravies - and had no difference in taste - the kofta was super dry n stiff and full of chillies.. the rice was stale with a weird smell.. Its our go to place but for important dates or holiday time - the restaurant is complete NoGo!! Hope they read this and improve!

Had a great experience at Tummy Treats! We ordered Pani Puri, lamb, rice, bread, vegetables, and a variety of Indian dishes (some of which I forgot the names of), but everything was absolutely delicious. The flavors were rich and authentic. The service was excellent, and the staff was very friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend!

We’ve recently been there and loved it! Such a heartwarming welcome and great service. They explained every meal and pointed out different vegan option's to us. The food was very good. All in all a great place to be!

Starters were ok but the main course was disappointing. They also charge for tap water.

I felt disappointed with the food served at this hotel. It didn’t seem fresh, and the quality was not up to standard.

Hidden in shopping mall Westwijk the restaurant does not look amazing from the outside, but from the moment we set down all our worries were put to rest. We were met with a warm welcome, accomodated in our special needs (wheelchair) and were offered well thought out suggestions for the appetizers when one of our party was late. The menu is rich and varried and offered something for all members of our group. Coming here for the second day of Christmas was a good choice. They know how to mix their spices and create amazing flavours with comforting dishes and Indian Cuisine. Highly recommend visiting this restaurant.

What a great Indian restaurant it is a nice place to enjoy a Indian food. I really loved the Chicken Lollipop if this your first time here and you are non-veg then this is one of the their best menu items. Service is really bad. They just want to mint money from customer. They charge u even for breathing! Ask them for a glass of tap water, they say they dnt have it. Apparently they ll give a bottle which in turn is filled manually with tap water n charge u 4-5 € n also dnt let to take the bottle!

We really liked going to Tummy Treats as their food really taste like authentic Indian. But during a recent visit we had an unpleasant experience. The waiter mistakenly served someone else’s order to our table, and we without realising ended up eating a few pieces of mutton from the wrong plate. We realised the mistake a few moments later and at the same time the waiter came to us saying it was a wrong dish served to us.We mentioned we did take a few peices out of it, but we would like to have the dish that we ordered. He did take the dish away, but to our surprise, the waiter then took the same plate and served it to the original customer who had ordered it. This raises serious concerns about hygiene and service quality. I hope the management takes appropriate action to prevent such incidents in the future.

I love „Dal makhani“. It‘s smooth and well balanced. I could eat it all day, every day.

Best Indian food I ever had outside India. Staffs were really nice and we tired poori, halwa and roti. We couldn’t eat there so went with take away. Wish they had sakkarapongal as well. Got lots of good recommendations from friends and they exceed my expectations. Must try.

Celebrated my 40 years in service with a lunch at Tummy Treats. We placed the meal order two days before the big day. My guests and I really enjoyed the service and the food. Communication regarding the organisation was good. We really had a hassle free, jummy good time together which added to the day. Also without something to celebrate I will definetely return.

Very poor experience. The dosa chatney was rotten! We complained to the manager but they denied it! We asked for tap water, and they said no tap water is available!! They don't use tap water at all!! What a lie! Very unpleasant behaviour of the waiters!!

I recently ordered Veg. Tandoor Platter & Tandoori Paneer Tikka, the taste was awful and most importantly both the dishes were colorful - which is not something to boast or to be proud, they were full of food color - worst than a poison. Imagine what will this do to your body ? The body has to work hard to get rid of this toxin and if we keep eating this, it will cause nothing more than cancer. In the end I felt(my whole family including kids) like we ate poison. With no other choice we literally threw them in the bin after few bites. I definitely don't recommend this such an unhealthy restaurant.

Unfortunately the quality has become bad! Second time my biriyani order was not good and felt eating some spicy rice! I have been a customer since they ve opened this restaurant, recent experience is not good!

This place was great! We had some dosas that were delicious and filling. The service was okay and so were the prices. Would recommend if you want (South) Indian food and are in the area.

Went to this place yesterday. Starting with the drinks, their quality of it is not good. Never seen a place where they name an item as Lemon soda and it comes without lemons squeezed in it. The food made everyone who joined me for dinner with IBS. It's better they close down this place or hire someone who knows how to cook food. Update: To respond to your false claim, what was inappropriate in what we were talking? Professionalism is nt met when your employee evesdropped into customers conversation. Also, we never said the food was nice 🙂. Try to add in response with only the Truth.

Had dinner today. Went with lot of expectations but food we're average. Price were higher compared to quality and taste. Glasses were not cleaned.

Such a treat! We have had south indian specials, kothu parotta, mutton Kari chukka, chicken 65, chicken Salna with parotta and ambur briyani. The spice, flavors and taste were topnotch in all the dishes except briyani. Highly recommend!

Nice indian food. Liked the dosa and biriyani. Recently the quality of food has fallen down than what it used to be before. Tried kadai chicken and it was very bad.

The food was okayish: not bad but also not super good, have had tastier versions. However, given the relatively high prices the overall food score ends up low. Only thing I want to say is be aware that somehow they are able to serve dishes with the meat still raw/undercooked and somehow the English terms raw and undercooked were alien to the waiter we had so at some point I rephrased while showing him the pink slippery chicken to whether it is supposed to be that way and he answered with some illogical answer that the cooking method was tandoori. Well cooking method does not change the biological process that heating should always lead to denaturation of proteins and thus changing structure and color of meat...so cooked meat can never look that way besides the fact that the meat was close to uncuttable due to yes it being undercooked. But again discussions like this tire me since yes-no discussions always lead to nowhere unless someone acknowledges facts and the waiter was nice regarding all other service and such so I let it go for (mental) peace. But again if you are living on the edge or willing to verify the state of your dish and find the restaurant that good to take the risk to eat there it's fine. But for me it was the first and last time since I didn't find the dishes that good for it to be my last meal (ever) figuratively speaking. On the bright side I didn't die by food poisoning eventhough the chicken was raw.

Went here because of the reviews but it's just not good. All ended up with stomach aches after this meal. Very expensive, small bowls of rice, they charge 50 cents per bowl to pick up and then separately for the rice bowls. Had 5 dishes all very greasy and with a lot of fat in them. There was a mountain of oil on the dish. Chicken was almost impossible to find in the dish.

Oh my God ..an actual amazing, authentic Indian restaurant in the Netherlands!! They are true to their taste ..the food is so so good.. We had kozikhadu mutton curry..so juicy and right on point!! Paneer jalfreezi was also good!! Had Malabar Chicken biryani (wasnt very spicy) Can try Mung Dal ka Halwa..it has the perfect sweetness and nuttiness..but they can go easy on the excess ghee...but love it! No useless, expensive fusion food..just downright original Indian taste!! Highly recommended!!

A delicious Indian restaurant hidden in the back of a small mall. Service was fast and the food was affordable. They have spicy garlic naan which Is a variation I have not seen before, the Rogan Josh was said to be boneless but did contain bones, although this was not a big issue. Next to this the mango lassi and shahi tukda showed that they also got delicious sweet treats. Can highly recommend this place!

Nice ambience, very friendly and helpful staff. The service was really good and fast even with such huge crowd. Quantity and quality of the food was good. Such tasty and delicious food and it was worth the money. Reservations are definitely required, especially during weekends. Totally recommend this place for some authentic Indian food.

The best restaurant for Indian food. I have tried almost all the vegetarian options and enjoyed all of them. The new Host there is really friendly. She has suggested great new dishes and combinations. Definitely been my go to place.

We had a delicious Dal makhni and butter chicken with amazing garlic naans. Great service, they thought of everything for left overs. The only point of improvement is to have a smile salad on the menu. I will definitely come back

I had order food via online app. Delicious food with great quantity. Authentic indian food. For vegetarians highly recommend panner tikka masala. For non vegetarians hyd biryani was delicious and very spicy.

The quality and taste of food is very good, it's like having Indian food in India only but the customer service is pathetic. One of your staff ( a lady - don't know her name) is basically from India only and being from the country of culture and hospitality, she was extremely rude to us whenever we visit. It's hard to digest the fact that she knew what excatly serving your customer means. It always seems like she is doing a favour on us to give a seat or do a reservation for us. I would suggest to bring more Indian culture to your INDIAN restaurant ( the basic thing/ culture of Indian restaurant - "Atithi devo bhavah ") , atleast make sure that your staff follows this.

I enjoy eating Indian here. If anyone is looking for an authentic Indian restaurant, this restaurant, located in Westwijk Amstelveen, is definitely recommended. They excel on all fronts. The service is very friendly (especially Mrs. Meet) and the food is always consistent.

We were not expecting that a fairly remote area in Amstelveen would have such an excellent Indian restaurant hidden inside a mall, offering a big variety of both north and south Indian dishes! Everything we got was very very tasty. Generous portions for very reasonable prices, and friendly accommodating staff.

We love tummy treats. Me and my wife have been here many times and we consistently get good food every time. It’s rarely you get who serves north Indian and south Indian food equally good. Chole Bhature, Dosa, Uttapams, veg curries like Nizami handi are specially good.

By far my favorite Indian restaurant in Amstelveen. Amazing Dosa, Parotha and Naan bread. Vibrant curries and a great amount of vegetarian dishes. They absolutely deserve a prettier location than inside the Westwijk mall.

We have ordered non veg starter and veg curry and garlic naan and smoothies... everything was so good and authentic taste. They have so many options to explore. Never had anything like this in Amsterdam or surrounding areas. Must try!! Will definitely visit again soon

Food was so delicious.They have a huge menu to select from .If you have not been to this place you are missing one of the best Indian restaurants in Netherlands.We tried chicken Kottu Paratha and Malabar biriyani .The taste was heavenly.
