They make really delicious pancakes. The service is excellent. I definitely recommend it.

We really enjoyed our dinner at Kesar Restaurant tonight! The Indian food was delicious and the portions generous. The price was very reasonable as well. The three of us ordered a different dish, and these were all very tasty. The staff made us feel very welcome and was eager to tell us about the food. The place has a nice terrace with a view on the canal and some comfortable seats inside. Thanks a lot!

Delicious food. Very tasty, large portions, nice price and a very friendly and pleasant owner. We couldn't find the restaurant at first. As it turns out, in the evening there is also a delicious Indian menu with something for everyone. Highly recommended.

We booked in advance online and when we arrived we were told they could not serve food as there was a problem in the kitchen but they could do pancakes? A bit annoying we were not emailed to say there were issues and nothing online saying closed. Can’t say I recommend booking but may be fine if you are just walking by.

We were travelling and were missing Indian food so we came across this place! This restaurant does not disappoint. The owner was very sweet. My brothers and I enjoyed his company. The food was also very tasty, felt like I was eating ghar ka khanna. Overall loved the service, food and the restaurant! Next time I am in Amsterdam, I will be going here.

The best indian restaurant in Amsterdam, it's really good. The portions were large and it was very tasty. The service was very friendly. They are available in the evenings and have vegetarian options. I would enjoy the experience more if they had their own restaurant but I recommend this restaurant!

Once again we spontaneously stopped here while walking. It is very inconspicuous as it is integrated into a pancakes restaurant. The food was the best Indian food we've had in a very long time. We sat right by the water and were treated to great food. The important thing is to come early enough around 6:30 p.m. so you're sure to get something to eat. There were enough guests who came at 8 p.m. and were put off. It's a real insider tip

I could have given 1 star as it was the minimum rating, but the extra star is for the owner who received and spoke to us very well. But the food was not at all good. I am pretty sure that the chef doesn’t know how Indian food looks or tastes like. Never visiting this place ever again.

Being Indian vegetarian, were looking for indian vegetarian food. Tried this restaurant for first time. We really liked it. Nice cosy restaurant with a beautiful view at the center of amsterdam.Samosa was so yummy we felt same taste back in India. Paneer tikka masala so authentic with all required flavours. Felt like ghar ka khana. Friendly and kind staffs. Best Indian food I ever ate in Netherlands. Must recommend this place.

We ordered chicken tiki masala. Nothing about the dish was traditional, there was a fruit salad on the side of the dish, the rice was more like Spanish rice, and the spices did not in any way remind me of tiki masala. I was highly disappointed and would not recommend to anyone. Nice view by the water though.

Kesar is the best place restaurant I have ever feasted in Amsterdam, I highly recommend it!

Helaas konden we het eten door een kapotte oven niet ervaren maar het personeel was heel vriendelijk en gaf ons tips voor andere plekken waar je lekker Indisch kan eten.

Voor de duidelijkheid, als je op zoek bent naar het restaurant: Het is niet 1-2-3 duidelijk waar het restaurant is. Op het zonnescherm staat namelijk Pancakes and sandwiches (wat ze overdag ook serveren trouwens). Rond het avonduur bieden ze ook een Indisch menu aan. Wij hebben hier lekker gegeten,het eten is zeer smaakvol en er is een uitgebreid menu. Het personeel is vriendelijk en doet er alles aan om het de gasten naar wens te maken. Het restaurant is wat aan de kleine en krappe kant,maar dat was voor ons geen probleem.Wij waren content en hebben genoten.

Very Delicious Indian Food. Started with Indian Samosa ( Indian favourite item always).Then after we had Saag and Daal Makhni with Butter Naan and Rice. It was very very Tasty. I highly recommend this place. We tried Ice Tea with Fresh Mint in this hot weather. It was very good in taste. Very friendly people, good service, very helpful.

Our waiter was very proud that he had the BEST Indian food in the city and for a good price. We waited a while for the food and it was just alright. The flavors were not as strong as typical Indian but had was more bland. I would not go there again.

Erg goed en lekker eten! De Indiase kaart is een echte aanrader. Laat je niet in de war brengen door het feit dat ze ook pannenkoeken serveren.

Home food away from home! Authentic Indian food made with fresh ingredients (Paneer was so soft!). Owner and his team were so hospitable and accommodated so many of our requests.

Enter the Kesar restaurant was our exelent choise.. We find it by accident. The food was really great and i was very surprised by the warm and kind service of owners. The waiters recomendation was really good, and we got even extra food for free :)
