Lousy KFC, lousy staff. If you don't like your job, you should have learned a trade.

Because the ice cream machine at McDonald's was broken, we ordered a Dubai Sundae De Luxe from KFC. Very poor, tasteless soft serve. Expensive considering the quality. No outdoor seating or bench to sit and enjoy your ice cream. No atmosphere inside. This was our first and last time.

Today I went to KFC Purmerend again after a long time. Almost no chicken inside. Waited 20 minutes for my order. They started making the milkshake, which sat on the counter for 12 minutes, then another 12 minutes. The food was finally ready. I asked for a new milkshake because it had been sitting there for 12 minutes, and my wife got a new one. The burgers and chicken were lukewarm, so we just ate them. You won't see us again. What a mess.

After mixed reviews, I decided to check out this KFC. Upon entering, I found a completely empty KFC; neither customers nor staff were to be seen. After placing my order, someone came in from behind the kitchen (very helpful). After four minutes, I had my menu—now that's fast food! Unfortunately, I had to go back because the sauces had been forgotten, which was a shame because my fries had cooled down considerably. The burger was fine, but nothing to write home about. I think the cheese sauce that came with the burger came from the refrigerator and ruined the immersion of eating a nice, warm burger. Perhaps this is typical of KFC, but other fast-food chains offer it warm. Despite that, I didn't experience any horror stories like those others have mentioned. It's a decent place (although expensive), but don't expect too much.

There's no one in that shop, and we have to wait fifteen minutes. 18 euros for five pieces of chicken, two small fries, and a drink. They're just ripping you off.

I can't say much about the ambiance since we only ordered and took our food to go, but what I can say is that the restrooms were very well-maintained and clean. The staff were also very friendly and didn't seem annoyed...so it was great 👍

I'm really not the most difficult person to order food, but this?! Let's recap: - Ordered an original burger; the only thing missing was the chicken?! - Ordered a "I want cheese" menu; a hair in my fries?! - Ordered a "Share Bucket"; cold and tough... The first time, we received undercooked chicken. We returned it. After fifteen minutes, we received undercooked chicken again. After complaining, we were given a voucher. A few weeks later, we returned, and guess what? Partially raw again. They have no idea what that can do? Hoping they had mended their ways, we returned after about a year. "Do you have a zinger box?" They looked at us as if they'd never heard of it... It had been on the menu for years. And, "Oh yeah, there's no chicken left, could you please wait half an hour?" We left and will never return, even if we could eat here for free for the rest of our lives. With all that raw chicken, that wouldn't be a long life, though... Note: other KFCs, like the one in Asd Noord, do serve a good product. Advice: close the store, or spruce up the interior, fire all the staff, then hire well-trained and motivated people (preferably over 17...) and experienced management who are there every day. And, a special offer or a little promotion every now and then would also help. Especially with that successful McDonald's next door! P.S. Don't you notice that the company's "apologies" are always the same? The complaint isn't even read. One click and it's done. This is really transparent, KFC!

It was fine today, quick and hot food.

What a filthy, disgusting restaurant. Get a wrap too. Some kind of junk folded in half three times with just whatever thrown on it. It's like a two-year-old is making and wrapping food there. A real disgrace.

We received spoiled corn, and the staff's careless response and attitude made it worse. The wrap was terrible too, sadly, not surprising. KFC Purmerend completely ruined the evening. Wouldn’t recommend this place. Avoid.

After a long time, I finally went back to the KFC in Purmerend. After not being there for years, my girlfriend and I decided to give it another try. First impressions weren't great; it was Friday evening and we were the only ones in the drive-thru, a grumpy woman at the window who barely spoke Dutch (not a big deal, but a smile wouldn't hurt), and a bag of food was thrust into my hands by the same woman in no time. Anyway, once we got home, we were shocked by the quality of the food and drinks we received. Two lukewarm Cokes without ice, two cold "crunchy" cheeseburgers that made you wonder if it was a day or two ago when it was still crunchy. Besides, how can you call it a burger when you put a chicken tender between two stale buns? Finally, the fries were also cold, limp, and stale. Ugh. Look, we didn't have high expectations for this KFC to begin with, but after giving it another chance, we were truly shocked by the further decline this branch has undergone. Our first impressions were indeed a precursor: while the KFC was practically empty, the McDonald's next door was completely packed. Now I understand why.

Ordered through Uber Eats. Two menus cost €40. It arrived after 50 minutes. Everything was cold, the chicken was tough and dried out. I can't even call the milkshake a milkshake. Watery garbage. I came here with my family for a 'nice' meal after a day out. No counter where you can order, employees show no interest at all. We couldn't figure out how to order via 'the order screen'. None of the employees even bothered to show us the way. Even though I had already indicated at the counter that we had no idea what to do. (not everyone visits a fast food restaurant every week). We left (without ordering) and walked to McDonald's where we were helped properly.

Had a bucket original chicken but it is no longer the quality I knew from the past. The batter around it was not crispy at all. I think it had been in the warming display case for a while. Too bad the quality has deteriorated so much.

Slowest fast food in the world, severely understaffed. 20 minutes and 3 orders handed to customers. Only 23 to go to get mine. Not sure I'll get back home today. I just got food from KFC Purmerend, and it was downright scandalous. The Zinger Burger was without tomato, which should be standard. The fries were nothing more than leftovers: all small, hard pieces. As if I got the bottom of an old fry basket. To make matters worse, there was a large hair in one of the chicken pieces. That is downright unhygienic and absolutely unacceptable. I tried to contact them by phone, but the phone doesn't work. Just like the screen at the drive-in. It seems that the entire establishment is poorly maintained, both in terms of service and hygiene. KFC should stand for quality and reliability. What I received today was nothing less than junk. I hope this is taken seriously, because this is not how you treat customers.

KFC Purmerend. My last order was 73,48 euros. I ordered 2 original buckets, 2 fries, and two PEPSI. What they sent me? 4 PEPSI. A lot of times they make this kind of mistakes, the good thing is that UBER recognises these mistakes and they return the money. But this KFC in Purmerend are totally useless. I wonder after all these complaints how they still keep this store. And this is not happening only with delivery. Also when I was at the store they gave me one bucket less. Ofcourse I saw it and they fixed it. Too many mistakes for this store. And the most important, before I call Uber, I tried to call them. Guess what? The number they give for communication does not work. I like KFC but never again from this store.

In 2025: went a few times for dinning in. There's only 2-3 employees on shift. Took almost 30 miniues to prepare a simple order. They need to hire more people. The tables and chairs were not very clean. No table service available. In 2024: Missing items in order. The entire box of chicken wings is missing in delivery. And the other box had less than wings stated in the menu. Phone numbers don't work and cannot cantact.

Was in Purmerend with my buddy to pick up some stuff and made a pit stop at this KFC branch. Man what a drama. There was literally 1 man standing behind the counter, making food, filling drinks and doing the drive through. No colleague, nowhere to be seen. Normally, in my opinion, you should run with at least 2 people and not on your own. 20 minutes later the other two arrived. Even on the information board there were 5 numbers ready to pick up, but there was nothing at all on the collection counter. Others also came to ask where their orders were. My buddy's was finally done. Chicken strips were not hot and not crispy as we know them. Crunch was nowhere to be seen and lukewarm and old. My original chicken pieces of 5 pieces were really inedible. For the first time in my life I threw away food. Meat not marinated, very dry that it stuck in my throat. Crispy/crunchy nowhere to be found. Just wash 1 piece of batter on it. Burger colonel was okay but so poorly packaged, lettuce fell out before I even opened it. Drink half of Lipton Ice tea. I was really disappointed how something so simple could screw up so badly. You're also missing a manager there. In short, 24 euros wasted Toilet is also poorly maintained. My buddy immediately said: it really stinks of piss and I could still smell it outside. I would really advise against it to everyone. This has never happened to me at a fast food restaurant. How can this KFC have been here for so long? The staff here is so not okay, make it a nice young mixed team. 1 speaks bad Dutch, 1 doesn't speak Dutch but is from India with a terrible accent, I didn't understand a word! What a mockery this has become. Table service orders must still be collected at the counter. Incomplete order. Cold food. Filthy toilets where the ammonia smell hits you until they have been cleaned for so long. Staff who hardly speak Dutch and don't care about their own mistakes. And the worst part is that there is no distinction between Veggie and normal product and normal and diet soft drinks. Consciously chosen for dietary reasons. Just shameful. Update March 2025: Just wanted to get a soft ice cream at 8:00 PM. Once again you are told that the ice machine is broken. This excuse has certainly been heard for the past 4 years. It seems more like they don't want to use the machine in the evenings. If it is always defective, then go to the competitor next door. Really consistently disappointing. 2023: Always a disappointment when we get something there. It's either cold fries, missing products or the products cannot be delivered... it's not cheap either. So I always regret it.

Went to this KFC today (Feb 24, 2025) with my husband. The food was cold, the trash cans smelled and the employees had an attitude. Hey, it was pretty nice eating from this kfc. The food was really fresh and I saw them making it. They're packaging is also clean and fast I paid like 15€ for a meal and I was fully full that I couldn't Finnish it haha, but it was good I recommend the zinger mega meal because it's cheap and also enough to make u full. The service was okay it took too long to get my order done but I get it everything there is done freshly so it's understandable.

I have adjusted my review. While I was initially positive about this KFC, things have become much worse in the last six months. It's dirty and cold inside (you really have to keep your coat on). The hot wings seem to completely lack the spice mix, it's not even salty. Everything is much greasy than normal, but in a really rancid way. And the crispy coating of the products is limp and soft. The last time we were there it was soaking wet everywhere on the floor. No idea what's going on. The staff doesn't say anything about it either. In any case, there was no cleaning. The toilets are also always rancid and there is never any soap. It simply can't get much worse than this.

Even though I was alone and only ordered for one person, it took an absurdly long time for someone to take my order. All ordering kiosks were broken, leaving no option but to wait a long time at the counter. The staff didn't seem to care and spoke in an unfriendly and disrespectful manner. The hygiene in the business was downright bad; it seemed like a threat to public health. The floors were dirty, the entire restaurant was messy and unsanitary, and the toilets were a complete pigsty. This is a place I will never return to. What's also noticeable is that KFC often responds to other negative reviews and states that they will work on the issues, but so far I don't see any progress. They promise a lot, but nothing changes. It seems like in the end they don't do anything about it. Considering the poor service, dirty environment and the almost empty place, I now understand why hardly anyone comes.
