One of the worst restaurants in Zwolle. I ordered for the third time, and when I got there, it was completely closed!

Can't comment on the food or service. Unfortunately, this location closed at 9:45 PM on New Year's Day, even though your website and maps indicate it's open until 11:00 PM on New Year's Day.

Rude staff, it's like they hired people from FC KIP. The staff is so unprofessional and looks like they've literally come off the street. The cup was covered in coke, and they didn't care.

The food is decent. The staff... well, they almost say they don't want to be there... Which really kills the atmosphere.

Exceptionally poor, unfriendly service. Orders are never complete. Often, they simply say "no chicken" is available. No chicken at KFC? Things are really bad here.

First KFC that makes food on time. And it tastes great too. Normally, I have to wait a long time in our neighborhood (Hengelo, Enschede). Here it was 5 minutes.

The worst fast food restaurant I have ever been to. The staff did not respond to questions, they did nothing and everything was chaotic.

A really long wait! The staff was shuffling back and forth and chatting with each other, even though it was busy. You'd expect them to be a bit more efficient at peak times. But apparently, they don't have that mentality here. We waited half an hour (!) for our order. Very dissatisfied with our visit. Edit: The next time, it wasn't much better. They were out of chicken. No kidding! We couldn't order burgers or wraps. It was ridiculous.

The food was good, but we stood in line for 35 minutes and there was no delivery service so you could just stand and wait.

Last time we've been here. Poor service, the pushy guys at the cash register. When you call out your number, they give you the last two, and when you ask if it's 230 or 30, they give you a rude mouth. A disgusting mess, the food is lukewarm, and the staff clearly don't want to be here. We've been here before, but it's getting worse every month. Plenty of opportunities to improve, perhaps by management? KFC Zwolle Noord is going downhill.

We've been waiting for food for 25 minutes. A team of friends is behind the counter, just like they're drunk behind the bar. This is terrible, unfriendly. They're making fun of the customers, laughing at everyone. What's this? Their colleagues arrived 15 minutes later and they've already received their food. When I asked where my order was, the manager laughed at me and said it had disappeared. I asked for a refund. It's a shame I read the reviews before coming here. NEVER AGAIN! AND I DON'T RECOMMEND ANYONE COMING HERE!!

Dirty toilets, no toilet paper, soap empty everywhere. Dust bins full. Extreme waiting times, all tables dirty. Terrible experience, but the chicken itself was tasty.

The food was delicious, I recommend the spicy chicken burger. The service was good, about a 10-15 minute wait. The atmosphere wasn't as good, but it was fine.

Only decent when it's not incredibly busy. When it is, they constantly forget orders and you have to wait forever. Plus, the fries are awful. That's also why this is the worst KFC around. It's cheap, though.

I waited over 35 minutes for an incomplete order that was also cold (and there was a hair in the fries). I asked the staff about the missing items, and then we were given food that had been sitting there for a while (it was an order that had gone wrong). I also asked for a refund without receiving any (new) food, but that wasn't possible.

Today, October 23, 2025, I ordered two 4-piece crispy tenders in Zwolle. At checkout, the nice, dark-skinned lady told me a bucket was a bit more expensive, but "cheaper" for me because you get more chicken for almost the same price. Because the order could take a little longer—about 5 minutes (it was only 11:00 AM)—she offered me a drink. For her service, 5 stars!! Excellent! For her manager, minus 1 star! He didn't approve... What a grumpy, arrogant jerk to yell at your staff like that! Sometimes, unfortunately, people are in the wrong position.

With all due respect, why does it always take so incredibly long for the food to be ready? Yesterday I was there around 8 PM. The drive-thru was closed, so I had to order inside. After placing my order for a "Meal Deal for Two," it took 18 minutes to get my food. The restaurant with the capital "M" might be more expensive, but the speed with which they serve the food after ordering is truly astonishing compared to KFC.

Delicious chicken. Let's face it, you don't go to KFC for the atmosphere. You go there simply because it's delicious.

Tables not clean, Coke on the table, floor and chairs...nothing was done, and it wasn't even rush hour.

I always love the food here, and the people who work there are really nice. However, yesterday when I went, I waited 45 minutes for my food. I was on my way home from a very busy weekend, tired, and just wanted to grab something quick so I could spend time at home with my loved ones before I had to be up early for work the next morning. It wasn't a pleasant experience; I've never waited so long for food at a fast food restaurant.

A bit unprofessional. We wanted to try KFC, having never been before. There was a piece of paper on the door saying "due to circumstances, only the drive-through is open," and there was a sign there. I thought this was a multi-million dollar company...

I was at the door (today, September 4th) at 9:30 PM on Thursday, and people were inside, but they'd already closed the door and driveway?! Even according to the hours on their door, they're supposed to be open until 11 PM. I understand from another customer who just arrived that this happens quite often.

The elevator is not working, which meant that people with a walker could not go to the toilet and we had to carry the stroller upstairs.

Dear KFC, Please pay attention to this. We thought we'd have a nice meal at the KFC in Zwolle, but things turned out differently. We had to wait almost 35 minutes for our order. If it had been busy, we would have understood, but there were hardly any people inside and there were only two cars at the drive-through. Finally, our order was ready, so we went to our table. I walk into KFC full of anticipation... And am disappointed again. Apparently, they don't learn from the suggestions for improvement they receive. It starts with a 20-minute wait for your food (hello, fast food?), even though it's not busy. Then you sit down to eat, and you have a cold burger, lukewarm fries, and unfortunately, cold hot wings as well. The staff walks around as if they don't care and don't make an effort. But considering the other KFCs I've visited, it's probably a job requirement. The floor and stairs look like they haven't seen a mop in months. Too bad... I won't be coming back!

Worst KFC I've ever experienced. Your burgers have been cooling for 10 minutes while you wait for a milkshake. The kitchen is disorganized and the staff has no idea how to keep up the pace.

Terribly bad. We were here two years ago, and had to wait almost an hour for our food because it was so busy. They seem to be completely inefficient, unable to handle the crowds. We then had to eat at a dirty table. My wife and I were both sick that evening. We finally gave it another try last week. It wasn't even very busy then, but we still had to wait 25 minutes. The restaurant was filthy, and people were throwing all sorts of things in the kitchen, the staff were yelling at each other, and the chicken was very dry. This was definitely the last time.

I think it's a shame that it's so dirty inside. And that's not from one day. The food was okay. It's been tastier. I think I'll skip it for now, unfortunately.

I love chicken. I ordered 4 chicken tenders (I received 5 😋), fries, and 500ml ice tea from a menu with sauce. It was ready fairly quickly, everything that needed to be hot was warm, and there were ice cubes in the ice tea. I did have to come back to ask for my sauce, but they helped me quickly and helpfully. The service seemed friendly. It wasn't busy around 3:30 PM. The music is atmospheric, pleasant, and plays nicely in the background.

This is absolutely the last time we'll be back. It was so bad! The food was almost cold. The wait was incredibly long, and tons of mistakes had to be made, which also took time. It was a real disappointment, and then we ended up spending over €60 for the four of us.

NEVER COME HERE!!! I went in and ordered a mini burger and had to wait 15 minutes while the employees were on their phones. When I got my burger, it had a tiny piece of chicken in it (see photo). Then I saw someone next to me with three pieces of chicken. I told the employee, and she reacted extremely antisocially. She told me I was lying and that I had to eat it or not. Extremely antisocial behavior! And they were constantly cursing.

It's ridiculous to have the door closed in your face at 10pm on Monday, while they are open until 11pm. People were already waiting for over an hour.

First and last time at KFC. The place was completely packed, and we waited an hour for a small order. We finally got it, but the order was also wrong. The burger was cold and not tasty. Awful place.

I had to wait a long time for my order. Not a single table was clean. Even the bench was covered in grime. The floor had wet spots and food was everywhere. Not exactly a hygienic environment. The restroom was filthy. I wiped down my own table with toilet paper before I could sit down. The food wasn't hot, and the sauce I ordered wasn't there. I'll never come here again. It's way too expensive for a few pieces of chicken and cold fries.

IT'S NOT CLEAN! It looks like they haven't cleaned anything; everything looks dirty and sticky. The wait for your order takes a very long time. Two milkshakes took 15 minutes, even though it wasn't busy. The food is served lukewarm.

I don't understand why a chain like KFC has such poor staff, quality, and speed. I visit several KFCs because I drive all over the country, and every time I think it can't be that bad. The food is often fine, but the wait times are long, and the staff speak such poor Dutch that you can't even place your order properly without repeating it three times.

How awful. First, we waited 5-10 minutes at the drive-thru, then waited an incredibly long time for our order, about 30 minutes. The loaded fries were fine. When you're open till 23:00, it is not ok to close at 22.40... there were still customers. Knocking didn't help, they just ignored us. Great job! Lost another customer.

Rude staff. It felt like a community center or meeting place. There were a few people there who thought they were being funny. Absolutely no respect for customers. I think the manager really needs to do something about this! August 3, 2025, 7:25 PM, back to KFC. The food was cold, and I waited 30 minutes for it. The staff kept chatting behind the counter. The so-called manager was enjoying his Red Bull. The tables were filthy, as always. THIS IS NOT WORKING. The excuse was "TOO FATTY STAFF." MAN, THAT'S YOUR OWN Fault. Visited KFC Zwolle at Oude Meppelerweg 1 and the experience was very disappointing. We ordered three Boneless Buckets and two Zinger Burger meals. It took 32 minutes for our order to be prepared. Staff refused to bring the food to our table, explaining that they don’t have table number stands, which felt unusual compared to other KFC locations. The cleanliness of the restaurant was poor. What stood out most was the food handling by staff, which raised serious hygiene concerns. Staff were not wearing gloves while handling food. Hair nets were worn incorrectly, and one staff member with long hair wore only a cap. Several staff were visibly sweaty, wiping foreheads with the backs of their hands and then using the same hands to handle food. A staff member heating the buns was picking them up with bare hands. The service area looked extremely poorly managed, and the order screens were not being used. Overall, this branch needs major improvements in hygiene and organisation. Despite KFC usually being a reliable quick‑service choice, this visit was uncomfortable and not up to standard.

Went to KFC Zwolle today, the service is absolutely terrible. The staff simply won't help you at the counter; they see you standing there and just walk on by. They look very unkempt and smell absolutely awful. The food looks just as disgusting as the staff; it was inedible.

Food is as expected, but they are heavily understaffed. So it takes extremely long to get your order.

The food was delicious. We come here often, and the staff is also friendly. The atmosphere was nice, and there are two floors of seating. There's also a play area for children. There's also outdoor seating. They have a wide selection of menu items. There's plenty of space inside the KFC and it's easily accessible by car.

Second time this year visiting a KFC and again a disappointment. I used to be a big KFC fan, however it seems the chicken is becoming insanely greasy and I am pretty confident it wasn't the case in the pay. I've ordered food from the drive-through five times, and every time they've forgotten something or I've received something completely different. Even if I ordered one item, it was still wrong. Absolutely terrible service. How hard is it to get this right? Every time I ordered when there was no one in line, so it can't be due to busy times.

KFC Zwolle Review ⭐☆☆☆☆ What a disgrace. The sandwiches were half-filled, as if they were skimping on ingredients. The chicken? Lukewarm and tasteless, as if it had been sitting out for hours. For these prices, you expect at least hot food and decent portions. This was my first and last visit to KFC Zwolle. Absolute disappointment.

Yesterday, July 8, 2025, I wanted to pick up KFC with my daughter around 5:30 PM after work. The drive-through was already strange, so we had to park the car. We walked to the door to order inside; without a word, the front door was suddenly locked. I waited for a bit and then drove off to McDonald's across the street. KFC is truly great! Not so. (I had to click everything to post this, but the stars I gave and everything else are just typed in, otherwise this post wouldn't have worked.)

Food is very tasty, only you have to take into account that you wait 40 minutes for a small meal. Also you come an hour before closing time, everything is gone and they only have "original". When you ask how long it will take they get short circuit very disrespectful.

We don't have high expectations for a fast food restaurant because "fast food". The only thing you should expect is that when you sit down, your table is clean. Or that 1 table is clean at all.. And of course I got heartburn watching one of the employees grabbing a 'to go' bag, getting a few fries out of it and eating them himself. And then sticking the bag out the window to give it to a drive customer. You don't see that when you're in the drive... 🤢

If you like waiting for a really long time, then you should go to KFC Zwolle, otherwise go to the neighbours where they also have delicious food. What an amateurish place this is, such a big name, but such a lousy work pace. You suddenly lose your appetite, because the waiting makes your appetite disappear! I now speak enough Arabic, Papiamento and Eritrean, so that the employees can now understand me and do not make mistakes when delivering my order! I went to KFC again this week, it remains super super super bad! There is a manager there who acts like he is the prime minister, this "great" man has more airs and graces than the prime minister! Customer contact = eye contact and talking! What disrespectful staff is walking around there! It looks like the Hague market, one person shouts there, the other shouts something there, then you hear someone all the way in the back of the kitchen shout "noemer tweyhundredneigen!". This can't be the intention KFC NEDERLAND?! This is how you ruin your own fast food restaurant and help ruin your name and quality, if it still exists! If this is due to staff problems, then you can better close this place instead of how it is now. That the NVWA allows this in the Netherlands! Unacceptable!

Ok. I know fast food and KFC aren't related. But we had to wait for 31 minutes. Standing... For a bucket of chicken wings and a burger. And the wings were cold. The drinks had been on the counter for 20 minutes. So they were not cold, including the milkshake. Let's hope I don't get food poisoning. If so I will report to the officials. And for this lack of service and speed. You expect to have a nice price but no. It was unseasonably expensive. I'll never come back!

Today 11pm so no food at KFC Zwolle, it says it's open until midnight no, so very disappointed.

Table not cleaned up. Floor both inside and outside strewn with napkins, food remains and empty cups etc. Lukewarm limp fries, had ordered extra cheese and beacon, but did not receive this. Soft drink that I thought would be a smoothie was sweet lemonade with a flavour. So never go here again.

What a disappointment. Never had such a bad KFC. We will definitely never come back here. Everything was cold and dry. The cheddar could not even melt on the bun. It also took a very long time to get our order, while the restaurant was almost empty. Tables and floor, inside as well as outside were very dirty.

Last Sunday, I had to wait 1 hour and 20 minutes for our food at the KFC in Zwolle with 3 friends. We were not the only ones who stood there for more than an hour. We were told that this is the case every Sunday. The funny thing is that quite a lot of burgers and fries from all orders were already ready, but instead of finishing the order, they continued with other orders and that caused all the food to get cold. After a friend took the initiative to step forward and ask where our food was, we did not get an apology for the long wait. In the end, we got cold fries, had forgotten our sauce, very hard and dry chicken burger buns, with half-melted cheese. So not a success.

Friendly staff and good service. Delicious food.
