Dear readers, I don't often write a review and certainly not a 5 star review. But what I experienced yesterday is worth writing serranades for weeks. The experience started upon arrival, the staff greets you with a smile and a firm hand. Then me and my boyfriend were escorted to our place. The atmosphere was something to write home about, I've only had this vibe before during my dinner at the white house. For a reasonable price we then started with the 5 course dinner provided by Michellin Belschman. As a starter we had a shrimp cocktail with scampies covered with gold leaf. "It's as if an angel is peeing on my tongue," I heard a table next to me shout. “Totally agree!” The entire restaurant echoed. The sound echoed through the pleasant interior, reminding me of the interior of a Victorian mansion. To finish we had fřiķķąņdelêŋ, highly recommended! After this wonderful dinner, which was really worth 5 stars, we were surprised with a coffee on the house. In summary: you can't find better staff, better atmosphere, cozier decor than this! So if you are interested in an evening out, you will talk about it for decades and tell your grandchildren about it later. Then look no further! Have fun eating, have a tasty continuation and have a good evening in Little Jerusalem. A heaven on earth.

I've been here a few times with my husband and it's highly recommended! Delicious food and a great atmosphere. You can really taste in the food that the chosen people are now living justly in Jerusalem. That combined with the hatred for Muslims that you taste in the kugel is truly excellent. My husband also noticed that the owner also works at Mitta's massage. He said you could really taste the chef massaging his meat tenderly. Maybe it's because of those big hands of his, but I was very satisfied. Best of all, I think the chef will eat your leftovers on the spot if you can't eat anymore. This way, not a single bite goes to waste!

One of the best restaurants I visited during my stay in Amsterdam! I came all the way from the USA to explore Amsterdam culture and didn’t really know what to expect. One of my best mates is from Israël (the good part) and recommend to go to Klein Jeruzalem because of the amazing food. I must admit I usually don’t eat something that I never ate before. And fortunately this time I didn’t either. They had a burger option!!!1!! I was so happy! And also the desserts are among the best I ever had! Would definitely recommend if you like good food.

Cozy tent in the heart of the Jordaan. I have often enjoyed a delicious meal here with a dessert afterwards. The microwave bapao sandwiches are like no other here!

Al met al een van de beste restaurants van de afgelopen 5 jaar in mijn opinie, De kip Gordon blue staat ver boven de rest en de bierkaart is ronduit formidabel. Koshere kost is in Amsterdam moeilijk te vinden maar hier ronduit geweldig en toegankelijk. Het personeel gaf mij het idee dat ik ze al jaren kende al met al zeker een aanrader voor de echte fijnproevers.

Kwam hier om takeaway kip te halen erg telergesteld kip was lauw en niet goed gekrid wel lekkeren toetje daarom twee sterren. Aandrader als je toetjens lekker vind 👍🏻

Gezellige huiskamer-achtige sfeer vriendelijk personeel en lekker eten. De chef en eigenaar van het restaurant weet me iedere keer weer te verassen met zijn fantastische Midden-Oosterse gerechten. Als je al het fantastische besluit maakt om te gaan, kan ik je zeker aanraden het dagmenu te nemen. Iedere keer sta ik versteld van de smaakexplosies die Zohan hier in elkaar knutselt. Kortom 5/5 sterren, ik zou het een hoger cijfer geven als het kon

Het eten en de service is super! De 10L bak humus is echt een aanrader! All had ik wel het vermoeden dat de kok en over teering stoned waren. Pluspunt dus want je kan binnen roken.

Ik sta keer op keer versteld van de service en het eten. Genoeg koshere opties op het menu. Dit Israëlisch/Palestijns fusion restaurant is de plek als je je smaakpapillen wil laten trillen van geluk. Het wekt nostalgische gevoelens van mijn tijd in Jeruzalem op en de medewerkers maken er echt een show van! Een werkelijk toprestaurant.

Review of Rijks – Vegetarian Tasting Menu (Tuin | Garden) Walking into Rijks, you immediately sense that this isn’t a “typical museum restaurant.” It’s refined without being intimidating, and the service sets the tone for what turns out to be a remarkable dining journey. For my first-ever vegetarian tasting menu — and at a Michelin-starred restaurant — I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Courses & Impressions... Tomaat (Tomato, Strawberry, Honey, Basil) A surprising opener that danced between savory and sweet. The brightness of tomato lifted by basil, with strawberry and honey adding both freshness and depth, instantly set the stage for how imaginative this menu would be. Fruits de Terre (Amazake, Shio Koji, Poppy Seed Tahini) Earthy, nutty, and umami all at once. The amazake and shio koji provided a subtle fermentation complexity, while the tahini grounded the dish. A fascinating “soil-meets-ferment” plate that showed just how far vegetables can go in flavor expression. Tuinboon (Broad Bean, Sea Lavender, Pistachio, Lemon Verbena) This plate was a revelation in texture — the creaminess of the beans, the gentle crunch of pistachio, and an herbal lift from lemon verbena. It tasted like a garden in peak summer, delicate but assertive. Pom Pom Blanc (Lion’s Mane, Celeriac Bordelaise, Hollandaise, Curry Leaf Oil) Lion’s mane mushrooms are often praised for their “meaty” bite, and here they were elevated with a Bordelaise richness and the silkiness of hollandaise. The curry leaf oil gave it a subtle aromatic twist. A dish that blurs the line between plant-based and classic French fine dining. Millefeuille of Beetroot... The star of the menu! Even though it was an add-on, this was a piece of edible art. Beetroot layered like pastry, bringing both visual drama and earthy sweetness. Worth the indulgence. Glazed BBQ Tempeh (Oatmeal, Zucchini, Ajipanca) Smoky, hearty, and comforting, this was perhaps the most surprising course. Tempeh, often dismissed as “hippie food,” was transformed into something gourmet. The Peruvian ajipanca pepper added depth without overpowering. Bijenwas (Beeswax, Honey, Elderflower, Black Fruits) A poetic finish — floral, fruity, and lightly sweet. The beeswax brought an almost ethereal texture, while elderflower and black fruits tied it together like the closing note of a symphony. Overall Experience... This menu was one of the best gastronomic journeys of my life. Every dish was layered, thoughtful, and elegant... not once did it feel like a compromise for being a vegetarian meal. Instead, it showcased the creativity and depth that vegetables can offer when handled with care. Rijks isn’t just a place to eat; it’s an education in flavour, a conversation with Dutch soil, and a reminder that vegetables can stand proudly at the center of haute cuisine. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Unforgettable, and worth returning to Amsterdam for!!!
