Nice little place, delicious cake and friendly service! Recommended for those who want to eat a nice pastry.

Sweets were great. The coffee could be better. But the atmosphere, staff and cleanliness still make it five stars.

Highly recommend. Lovely cafe behind the DOM church. Default option is vegan, and all treats taste great. Staff is friendly, toilet was clean. Seating area is a bit small, but can make do. Beautiful scenery around and easy to reach. Also love that they try to reduce food waste.

Such a lovely little vegan café (but u won't notice) in the heart of Utrecht! The cakes are absolutely delicious — moist, flavorful, and so yummy! :). The staff are friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. Plus, the location is super central, perfect for a cozy stop while exploring the city. Highly recommend!

If you fancy a nice coffee near the cathedral, this is the place to be. We also had pistachio cake, which was delicious. The service was nice and the coffee bar was very clean. Next time we will try other cakes.

This is one of my to-go cafe in Utrecht. Location is in the city center and they offer variety of cakes and pastries (all vegan!). Cafe is nice and cozy, and the staffs are super friendly as well.

This vegan bakery offers delicious basic and fancy cakes and other baked goods such as cookies 🍪 The cakes are always delicious and vary from time to time. There’s always a basic selection of banana bread, pumpkin loaf, lemon poppy seed loaf, a cookie and more. Then there are changing special cakes. They have oat milk as a standard milk but also offer almond milk! Their chai is nice, the coffee as well. Staff is quick and friendly! Update October 2024: can’t get enough of their cakes still!

Located in a beautiful location behind the Cathedral. A pleasant atmosphere and very friendly staff who are very helpful. Service was very smooth and neat. Most drinks were delicious, but only the oat milk broke the camel's back. The food offering, on the other hand, is completely vegan, which cannot cater for everyone and meet their wishes. All in all, a representative occasion of the Woke culture.

Spectacular Delicious coffee and cakes, I recommend. I also loved that when ordering coffee to go you can order a returnable glass, for an extra euro. Then when you return the glass you get the euro back. It's great if you forget your glass to avoid waste.

Nice little cute coffee shop. Coffee was delicious and the iced coffee was also nice and strong! Sweets and cake were also finger licking good. Placed outside in the sun, at first I thought you wouldn't be able to sit very much inside, but if you walk a bit they also have a room at the back.

City trip Utrecht, last time when it was still Karla's. Delicious vegan tiramisu cake, nice and creamy, nice full cake/coffee/choco flavor, extremely filling. Perhaps it could have added an extra creamy layer (I say as an avid cake baker) The coffee with oat milk was also very popular with non-vegans. We were lucky with nice weather, there was still a spot inside...

Coffee was good but expensive. Service was not great. Tried to move inside after a table became free and was told that the customer who had just walked in saw it first and should have the seat. Not impressed with how this was handled and left a bitter taste. Would not recommend this place unfortunately. Edit: It was not particularly busy.

Nice atmosphere, at the back there is a kind of living room with children's books and games where there are only 4 places. Here I ordered an oat milk cappucino. This was just a little above my drinking temperature, so I could enjoy it almost immediately. The oat milk and coffee tasted soft and not too bitter. The coffee did not have a free cookie and did not arrive at the same time as the pastry (1 or 2 minutes difference). The coffee was in a good standard cappuccino mug and the pastries were on different decorated plates. I liked the pastry, I had a cinnamon roll. It was not too dry not too sweet and a decent size. The staff was friendly and patient. It was also nice that they only asked if we wanted more when they came to pick up the previous one. I expected the price to be more expensive due to the location and quality, but it is not too bad, especially because other coffee shops charge extra for oat milk. All in all, I would say KLUTS is highly recommended.

As someone who bakes a lot, is very picky about her cakes and often a bit sceptical about vegan desserts, I can say that this place is great. We tried 2 cakes and a cookie/tart thing, all were just wonderful and left you trying to guess what the cream is made of. I definitely recommend this place, will return here myself, as I want to try other things too.

Cute little tent. So small that you often can't get a seat inside. I had the chocolate praline mousse cake yesterday, which I wouldn't have again. Tasted a lot like hazelnut, but if you like it, I think it's recommended.

My favorite cafe in Utrecht. It is rare to find such a large and high-quality selection of vegan cakes. The café is relatively small, but there is a cozy back room with more seats and even a few games and books to browse. The pieces of cake are relatively large and a little cheaper than in surrounding cafes. Drinks and service are great too.

One of my favorite cafes in Utrecht! The staff was very friendly and the coffee was great and a good size as well. All drinks are served with oat milk which I appreciated but do keep that in mind if this isn’t something you like. We also had the carrot cake which was delicious. The place is really cute, however it is quite small and often full but would definitely recommend going if you are in Utrecht :)

Was recommended this place but after giving it three tries I rather not go here again. For table service you wait a lot. Service is not fast and not necessarily friendly. Cakes are below average or average. Some nearby franchises are better, even if their products are not so great.
