Koetshuis de Haar in Wijk 10 Vleuten-De Meern

's Ochtends heb ik wat gedronken op het mooie terras. De bediening was correct en vlot, alleen de madeleines kwamen pas na ruim een kwartier, toen was het drinken al op. Na een bezoek aan het kasteel en het park wilde ik hier wat eten. Zover is het echter niet gekomen. De bediening had geen enkel oog voor de drie verste tafels (ik zat aan de op één na laatste) en ik kreeg geen kans om iets te bestellen. Zelfs toen de tafel naast mij, die veel later plaatsnamen, hadden besteld, liep de jongeman niet twee meter door. In zoveel ongastvrijheid had ik geen zin, dus ben ik vertrokken.

Lovely location, delicious food, friendly staff. We had lunch here on the terrace with our young family on a beautiful spring day. The food was way better than most museum cafés with a range of choices for both adults and children. The staff were super friendly and helpful.

Vanmiddag op het terras gezeten in het zonnetje. Personeel erg vriendelijk en snel. Echt onbezorgd lekker op het terras gezeten. Wij komen zeker terug.

Na bezoek aan t kasteel met de kleinkinderen wat fris en cappuccino met gebak besteld. Vooraf gevraagd of de appeltaart uit de diepvries kwam. Ze gaf geen duidelijk antwoord. Toch hebben we ons er aan gewacht. Het was te koud te waterig en duidelijk bevroren geweest. Bij afrekenen werd t ook erkend. De koffie was niet echt heet. Kortom teleurstellend.

Wij drinken hier een kopje koffie voordat we naar rondleiding gaan. Leuk en vriendelijk personeel. Het was helaas geen terrassen weer vandaag.

There are better options in the surroundings, do not hesitate to go them. Koetshuis has a terrible service by the waiters and the bar tender. A complete disrespect of the customers. They prefer to talk between them that attending the tables. A total disgrace.

Had lunch here after a visit to De Haar. I don't think the service was very well coordinated and also a bit slow. The food was good! Everything was hot and served quickly.

We ate well, but don't expect the classic castle menu, pub menu, or bar menu for breakfast. For what you can order it was good. We did not find the table clean.

A very good option for a tourist site! Struggling to pin point why it isn’t 5 stars for me… Open cheese sandwich was delicious and absolutely filled a hole. Key thing to remember is that this place could (and should!) be overpriced given its location but it simply isn’t. Good option and would recommend it.

Good food, cozy atmosphere and good, friendly service

The restaurant itself very normal. The last straw was that they didn't want to heat our baby's baby food because "the kitchen was very busy." Our request was only to heat it for 1 minute in the microwave but they still said no. It seems like inhumane treatment to me.

I went in after touring the castle. You can enter this coffee shop/restaurant without purchasing an admission ticket to the castle, but if you go by car, you will have to pay a parking fee of 7 euros per day as there is only parking available at the castle. The menu focuses on light meals, and the fries I ordered were delicious. My colleague ordered a plate of two croquettes and bread. It was really just a croquette and two pieces of warm black bread. It's spacious with both inside and terrace seating, and there are plenty of waiters, so you won't have to wait.

It's a shame Google doesn't allow half-star rankings, as this would be a 3.5. It's alright, it's what you would expect from a restaurant inside a venue. The chicken tandoori was fine enough, but definitely not spectacular, and the crust of the bread was too hard. The cake was surprisingly nice, flavourful without overwhelming you with one strong flavour, genuinely a nice quality. The service was fast, especially considering the amount of customers.

I went eating there today and it was an awful experience. The food took a long time to arrive and the tables were not clean.

Had a wonderful afternoon. Sitting outside in the sun, you could see that things were going well and that they were helped quickly. Delicious food and the dietary requirements (Keto) were taken into account down to the last detail. After the tour of the castle we were able to sit outside again for coffee and cake.

Two friends and I went for coffee today and were enjoying ourselves. We asked if we could each pay our own bill as we had done previously at this restaurant. The young lady told us that it cannot be done. I asked her if she could give me change for €20 so that I could pay my friend for my coffee which she was going to pay by card. I stated that I would not be paying the bill as I only wanted some change! When we all got to the till she proceeded with the bill, I told her again that I would not be paying the bill and she told that I already stated that 3 times, but she then took my money and gave me the change from the bill. I could not believe that she was sooo rude and she just left. The manager came to hear what the problem was and told this "child " that she should not have just walked away. I wanted to explain what the issue was but he told me that he wanted to hear from this girl as to what happened. He also did not seem interested in what I had to say and just said, oh but the bill has been paid. It was just a waste of our energy to try and explain to these people what we intended to do. I am 70 yrs old and was absolutely shocked that they would not speak properly to me as the customer. They obviously do not care for people to come back to the restaurant. We usually go there once a week. Just very bad service!

For what it is you couldn’t ask for more. Food is good at reasonable prices and the Atmosphere is amazing due to the castle surroundings.

We were a big family ordering food for lunch and our friends' food was brought to the table after a while and we had to cancel our order after an hour of waiting. The service was very poor and disorganised, we even had to ask three times for the table to be cleaned. I don't recommend it at all.

We waren een grote familie die eten bestelde voor de lunch en het eten van onze vrienden werd na een tijdje op tafel gebracht en we moesten onze bestelling na een uur wachten annuleren. De service was erg slecht en ongeorganiseerd, we moesten zelfs drie keer vragen om de tafel schoon te maken. Ik raad het helemaal niet aan.

We wanted to go to this location with a group of 10 people for coffee and cake, a visit to the castle and lunch. People reported having special group arrangements. During telephone contact to make the final booking, it was stated casually that both the coffee package and the lunch package did NOT apply during the weekends and that table reservations were also not possible. After our comment that they would website should have mentioned it became very quiet.. Very disappointing!

Lovely place to finish your tour of De Haar Castle. The apple pie was amazing!!!!

Disappointing lunch with lukewarm tea. The so-called warm Vega sandwich was absolutely not.

When you ask for water with coffee, don’t expect too much water

Nice atmosphere. Food is alright. There is a wide selection of items, including vegetarian and vegan. Service is average. When the waitress is asked about allergies, she responds with "I don't know," and it took a bit of convincing to ask the kitchen. (If anyone is wondering, the vegan bitterballs apparently don't have soy in it). It also takes a bit of time to get the order taken and the cleanliness could be better.

No competition means mediocre quality.

The food tastes so so. Still, it's not expensive. However, the atmosphere of this place cannot be ignored.

The service was good, the waitress was friendly. The order did not wait long. But the fries were dried out (2 portions), and two portions of bread (4 small pieces) with mustard sauce and butter in two small cups cost 12 euros! The bread seemed to be soaked, but in fact it was dried. Mustard soup, coffee and cappuccino were quite tasty. 44 euros is a little too much for this.

Great place to have a meal. Prices are also fine, not too expensive but not cheap either, so average, with the exception of the hot chocolate, which we thought was quite pricey at 4 euros and whipped cream was also 1 euro.

Wonderful restaurant at the castle grounds. Fresh, local lunch with reasonable prices. Makes a great stop while touring the grounds.

Heerlijk geluncht in het Koetshuis van Kasteel de Haar. Nieuwe vriendelijke uitbaters, een nieuwe kaart met lekkere gerechten die keurig geprijsd zijn. Fijn terras. Heerlijk wandelen in de tuinen van Kasteel de Haar of park de Haar en dan hier eindigen.

Had a delicious lunch in the Koetshuis. New friendly owners, a new menu with tasty dishes, decently priced. Lovely terrace. Nice restaurant near Utrecht in a beautiful location.

Excellent onion soup in a royal location. Beautiful for summer and winter. No entrance fee is required to access the Carriage House

Het restaurant heeft ruime looppaden en je zit dus niet op en in elkaar. Er is genoeg ruimte en de eetkamer heeft een beeldige lichtinval door de hoge ramen. De frisse salade is rijk gevuld met rucola en andere soorten sla. De pompoen, shiitake en pitten smaakten prima. Het enige is dat ik geen fan ben van rood gekleurde sla. In de middag heb ik een koffie verkeerd gedronken en die vond ik perfect… Want deze werd met een ijslepel geserveerd dus ik kijk ernaar uit om weer eens de schaatsen van zolder te pakken. We werden super aardig en attent geholpen.

Deplorable service, we ordered for 9 people / 100th of an order. The service is not even at the table. We had to bring our food and drinks back in the rain. The person didn't even want to give us a tray. The restaurant was closed for no reason. Instead they let us manage to make 3 round trips in the rain. In the end we were soaked. I strongly advise against this place, very touristy with excessive prices. They don't respect their customers, a shame.

Ordered lunch at 3:28 PM, the waiter says the kitchen is closed... According to the menu, lunch closes at 3:30 PM. Very customer friendly! The restaurant in the park is also closed, so there is nothing decent to eat around the castle.

Beautiful location, but that didn't make up for the slow service and very mediocre price-quality food. We arrived at 1 p.m. and were able to sit down around 1:25 p.m. (we didn't have a reservation, so that was fine). Then had to wait more than an hour for orders that were served separately, including incorrectly delivered ones; cup of tea, coke, sandwich and sandwich. There was one waiter who was running wild, the rest were mainly busy looking busy (walking around extremely ineffectively, not looking at guests, talking to each other a lot). Really very sad.

Not that great. The lady at the counter wasn't very responsive to our questions. When we asked what's a particular cake, she didn't even reply and just served us that thing. It was an overly sweet carrot cake..which we didnt enjoy that much. But after a beautiful visit to the castle, its an okay place to catch a few bites. Also they were serving sandwiches which looked ghastly cold. (But then that's common here, so should be fine)

We hadden een mooi plekje op het terras maar toen wij wilden bestellen kregen we te horen dat er geen lunch besteld kon worden. De keuken had het te druk en kon het niet meer aan dus we mochten alleen drankjes en taart bestellen. Slechte bedrijfsvoering. Hier kom ik dus niet meer terug.

Wij zijn recent getrouwd in Kasteel de Haar, en kozen er dan ook voor om ons feest in het Koetshuis te houden. Wij waren hier meer dan tevreden over. Van te voren verliep alle communicatie altijd vlot, ze dachten altijd goed met onze wensen mee, en uiteindelijk was de avond zelf zeer geslaagd! We hoefden ons nergens druk om te maken op de avond zelf, het team verzorgde alles tot in de puntjes, en wij en onze gasten hadden niks dan lof voor alle heerlijke gerechten van de avond!

15 minuten wachten om een koffie te bestellen. Dan nog eens 15 minuten wachten voor de koffie te krijgen. Dan wil ik betalen maar blijkbaar mag de serveerster die de koffie brengt niet afrekenen. 🙄 Na terug 15minuten wachten ben ik zelf gaan vragen of ik mocht betalen. Personeel is heel vriendelijk maar zooooooo traag.

Het "restaurant" koetshuis bij het Kasteel De Haar is geen aanrader. Ik raad aan om in de buurt iets anders zoeken. Het interieur heeft niets van sfeer, Oude, smoezelige troep. Het eten is echt heel slecht en gruwlijk duur. Ik had een burger met friet. Een kok die dat niet kan maken, hoort niet in de keuken te staan. Koude, niet eens gare! patat. Het "vlees" van de burger is een dun plakje diepvries fabrieksvlees. De kok was ook nog te lui om een plakje tomtaal te snijden want zelfs dat zat er niet bij. Mijn vriendin had een broodje ossenworst. Nix bijzonders maar ze vragen er wel € 15,- !!! voor. Een broodje met verder niets erbij. Schandalig. Mijn burger kostte ook € 15,-. Daar verwacht ik geen hoogstandje van maar dit was echt beneden alle verwachtingen. Bij het buffet van de IKEA is het eten stukken beter dan wat ze je hier voor durven te schotelen. Tijdens de wandeling in de tuinen kwamen we langs het Tuynhuis maar dat was helemaal een trieste bedoening.

Het eten en drinken ging wel maar was wel duur voor wat je krijgt. Erg dikke boterhammen voor een tosti met karig beleg. Daarnaast bestelde 1 van de 4 personen wat anders als de andere 3 met als gevolg dat die ene erg lang moest wachten op zowel eten als drinken. Er staat heel wat bediening maar ze lijken allemaal niet te weten wat ze moeten doen. Erg rommelig

Lekker drankje op in een mooie omgeving

We zijn op dinsdag 13 juni hier met een uitje van onze vrijwilligers geweest (Botanische Tuinen Utrecht) en hebben een heerlijke dag gehad. Verrassende zoetigheid bij de koffie, bij de lunch ook broodjes die uitdaagden om eens wat anders te proeven en wat lekkers bij de borrel. Het personeel was ook erg vriendelijk en er kon zelfs op het laatse moment nog een dieetwens geregeld worden. Top!

We kwamen met een groep om 11.15 op het terras. We wilden graag iets eten maar de keuken ging pas open om 12.00. We gingen alleen even iets drinken en tot mijn verbazing kregen mensen achter ons wel een lunch?! Ik vroeg hoe dit kon en daarop antwoorde de beniening dat dit eten per ongeluk was gemaakt en we toch ineens wel konden bestellen over 5 minuten. Erg bijzonder hoe het per ongeluk gemaakt is. Verder was het eten matig, niet heel bijzonder Het is wel een mooie locatie met een leuk terras

We had our wedding ceremony at Kasteel de Haar and our reception at Koetshuis de Haar, and it was amazing! The food, service and overall management of everything at Koetshuis de Haar was perfect, and we couldn't have asked for a better day.

I recently had lunch in this small restaurant in the yard of the Castle De Haar and was impressed with my experience. The food was delicious and the service was very good. The atmosphere was lovely, with a beautiful view. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting the area.

Je kan niet binnen eten want alle tafels zijn gereserveerd. Super koud buiten zonder enkele verwarming. Uur later zie je dat de binnen tafel zijn steeds lege… 50 eur lunch om in de kou te eten, gewoon schandalig en slecht!

We hebben heerlijk in het zonnetje gezeten. Vriendelijke bediening. Eten een beetje prijzig, maar wel lekker.

Leuke spot bij het kasteel. Dit restaurant is vrij toegankelijk zonder entree. Lunch is oke. Uiteraard niet alles kunnen zien en dus reviewen. Broodje krokket prima. Gewoon broodje kroket. Niet bijzonder. Misschien teveel mosterd mijn idee. Tosti kaas mag wel wat meer kaas op dit dikke brood. Tip. Zou de borrelbites eerder reserveren. Zaten er om 13.30 en zag 4 tafels om mij heen die dit wilde bestellen maar het kan pas om 15.00. Deze mensen gingen weg. Snap het idee voor de lunch maar zie dit echt als gemiste kans (omzet). Prijs is niet goedkoop maar prima voor de locatie.

We visited the small restaurant after our castle visit and the food and drinks were really tasty! Would eat there again!

Wat een prijzen voor droge, karig belegde broodjes (€14,00 !). De bediening is vriendelijk, maar bij het eten ontbreekt een juiste prijs- kwaliteit verhouding.

Der Kaffee war lecker. Selfservice. Leider bekommt man die Getränke nur im Pappbecher, daher keine 5 Sterne
