Every day, you're served a fixed and very affordable menu, with all the specialties cheerfully presented on a single plate. Each dish boasts that typical Indonesian flavor. A cozy little restaurant with only a daily special (meat/fish or vegetarian). The staff is friendly, and the owner always seems to smile. The food is "Dutch" in terms of spiciness, but has a typically Javanese flavor (a bit sweet and quite a lot of coconut). Reservations are recommended. There's a €2.50 fee per person, which is understandable considering the concept and how busy it is. This fee will be deducted from your bill.

You should head straight to this Indonesian eatery from Schiphol if you've just been to Indonesia. Wow! The atmosphere and the food are exquisite. Every dish is of exceptional quality. Your taste buds will be pampered by Kokkie Londo's refined culinary skills in a homely setting. Ipul and Raymond and their dedicated team will ensure you have a wonderful evening with a homely feel. The price-quality ratio of this Indonesian eatery is perfectly balanced. Generous portions. Reservations are highly recommended: it's always full. Next to Lachende Javaan, although in a different format, probably THE go-to Indonesian restaurant in Haarlem. Simple menu (two options only! And different every day), which helps a lot avoiding headaches, super friendly and talkative chef in extraordinary traditional clothing that will explain all you get on the plate. I was seated outside, hence looking forward to coming back during the colder months to enjoy the cozy interiors. Recommended!

We had 2 birthdays to celebrate 🥳, never been here before. We all loved it so much that we all want to come back . Food was amazing , staff really nice . The owner , priceless. The food is tasty and delicious. But the food could be a bit warmer, it arrives lukewarm on your plate and I think that's a shame.

We had a nice evening, the only disappointment was the host's reaction when it was indicated that the food was tasty but almost cold. The grumpy answer was: They are not potatoes. And that to someone who has been in the same business for over fifty years. Too bad!

Very bad accessibility for disabled people. After entering you had to go down a flight of stairs (2 high steps) without any possibility to hold on to anything. We just left. After this the owner came out to say that he could help, but my wife did not feel safe.

Yesterday, it was our second time at Kokkie Londo. We love their concept - they have a menu that changes daily with a vegetarian option and a meat option. The portion is huge and the food is extremely delicious, you can tell that everything is made with a lot of care and love. 🧡 The owners are wonderful people who clearly put so much joy into what they do, and it really shows. The place feels warm and welcoming because of them and you can appreciate the details highlighting the vibrant Indonesian culture It’s also very affordable for the quality of food you get - they offer a nice selection of desserts(my favourite is the spekkoek), beers, and a variety of exotic teas. If you’re in Haarlem, I highly recommend trying this. It’s definitely worth a visit.

How nice is this? Delicious Javanese food at Kokkie Londo. A different menu every day; you can choose between vegetarian or non-vegetarian (fish on Friday) and you will receive a plate full of delicious dishes. Not only the price is very friendly, but the entire atmosphere in the restaurant, pleasant buzz and nice decor. Management pays close attention to you. We have been there a few times now, but you can also pick up. Reservations can be made via the website and are recommended; I haven't seen any empty seats yet (and I understand that).

Indonesian restaurant with flavors closer to what I remember from the archipelago. Loved the buffet option they offered us for our corporate dinner, with lots of great food and sambals. Their dessert was sweet and memorable too. Owner is joyful and welcoming which made for an overall great experience!

Finally a place that very close to Javanese spirit. This restaurant offers you the colourful dish of Indonesian foods. Indonesian dish is more than rendang and smoor (semur) and Kokkie Londo definitely delivers it. Portion is huge, every single thing is very thoughtfully prepared and freshly cooked. Went to Kokkie Londo for the first time by invitation. Very pleasantly surprised by the delicious food, but also by the pleasant atmosphere and nice service. Highly recommended.

We had the fish menu on Friday; the food was tasty, well-portioned, and felt like a home-cooked meal. The menu changes daily, but you only have two choices: either meat or vegetarian, which makes it easier to decide. The menu and flavors are also unlike typical Dutch-Indonesian restaurants, which I appreciate. The chef was friendly and can speak Indonesian, which is a plus for me. It's better to reserve in advance to dine in. One suggestion would be to put the cendol in the drinks menu rather than as a dessert, I personally enjoy it with my meal instead of after. I would love to come back some other time to try the other menu.

I have experienced Kokkie Londo as the ideal place to enjoy Eastern or Indonesian cuisine. Each specialized chef gives his or her own 'twist' to the composition, aroma and balance of the countless varied Indian dishes. In my opinion, Kokkie Londo has provided a lasting memory of their beautiful dishes. With my partly Indian roots, I can consider myself a connoisseur. Surprisingly good! I expected an over the top experience looking at pictures and walking in. Instead, we sat down to have a culinary experience based on home cooked flavours your mom would make (were you Javanese of course). No menu, means no choice besides vegetarian or meat. It's very freeing to just sit down and let yourself be treated to aN amazing meal. We almost decided not to go. Now, we will 100% come back multiple times. Thanks for a great evening!

Some places have this: a spot that you can't find anywhere else. This is where you want to be. The accessible meals are tasty and surprising. Add to this that you are in a nice setting and for a friendly price. I would like to join you again on my next visit to Haarlem.

A colorful place with equally colorful owners. The food is a choice between meat or vegetarian and then everyone gets the same plate of dishes. They are all equally tasty and fortunately not too spicy. It is a refreshing concept that has caught on well and rightly so. And importantly: not terribly expensive either!

Kokkie Londo guarantees a unique gastronomic experience. The changing daily menu and the ingenuity of the host or chef mean that you can be surprised with confidence. The choice of vegetarian or meat is clear, but that does not mean that table companions do not enjoy the same experience together. The food is full of complementary flavors and dishes. In addition, attention is paid to suitable alternatives in both menus without detracting from the 'dish of the day'. The explanation at the table and the chef's enthusiasm are contagious. All in all an experience and at a very reasonable price. 10/10!

Fabulous Indonesian restaurant. We had the daily vegetarian platter. Full of flavours. Characterful staff, the chef came to the table and talked us through each dish, he had the most infectious laugh ever. Would highly recommend.

Ok, actually I would like to give a 7, but with this star system that is of course not possible, so unfortunately 3 stars instead of 4. Here's why: we had the daily meat special. This came with beef stew, a beef satay and a chicken mixture prepared in pandan leaf and a small cup of stock. The other dishes were the side dishes such as coconut with beans, rice, candied coconut and eggplant. Unfortunately, we didn't think the food was fantastic, which is what we expected with this high score, to be honest. All dishes were quite sweet, especially the side dishes with coconut were really sweet, but the stew was also quite on the sweet side. There was relatively little vegetable present, so I only had 1 piece of stewed eggplant. The ratio of side dishes was also a bit out of balance. There was actually little meat compared to the (too sweet) side dishes. In addition, the plate of food was served lukewarm. Of course we could have sent it back, so I won't complain about that, but it is of course strange that something is served lukewarm. Now for the positive note: the owners are really very friendly and hospitable. So spontaneous and fun, great fun! You will also be helped quickly. So there is nothing to complain about. In short, we had a nice evening, but we personally thought that there was still a lot of room for improvement in terms of the quality of the food before we would come back again.

Family atmosphere, special service & exceptional food. Already visited several Indonesian restaurants in the Netherlands. In terms of taste, smells and colors, this one stands out far above the rest.

The food was amazing! It was our first time here after we randomly found the restaurant on Google Maps. The menu changes daily I believe and we went on a Thursday. We got ayam kicap and some beef dishes, which were all really tasty. There is also an equivalent version of the dish if you are vegetarian. We had someone in our group that didn’t eat beef, so they kindly kept the chicken and replaced the other dishes with vegetarian options :) We also reserved in advance for a group of 5 and I would recommend to do so if you’re coming with a large group as they can get quite crowded. We’ll definitely come back again to try other dishes!

It's fish day on Friday! Everyday has a different menu. The chef is friendly, good service from the waiter, the food was delicious and reasonably priced. It’s my first visit to the restaurant, but I will definitely return to try the other menu. Success Kokkie Londo!

Net buiten het centrum ligt dit ontzettend leuk en speels eetcafe Keus is simpel: vegetarisch of niet? (Op vrijdag vlgs mij vis of vegetarisch) Daarna krijg je een bord vol lekkere javaanse lekkernijen die uitgelegd worden door een zeer vriendelijk, prachtig geklede Javaanse man. De rekening? €16,50 exl drankjes. Zeer de moeite waard!!

Leuke sfeer, heerlijk eten, en dat allemaal voor een zeer schappelijke prijs! Vriendelijk personeel, parkeergarage maar ook bushalte vlakbij. Een absolute aanrader. Wij komen zeker nog een keer terug.

Ate the most delicious fresh Indonesian dishes twice in 3 days, and how nice that you don't have to choose! You simply get all the goodies of that day on your plate. Very authentic taste. For me I can add kerupuk kampung as an extra.

Wat afwijkende formule. Telkens een ander menu dat je als een uitgebreide nasi rames geserveerd krijgt. Twee varianten: vegetarisch en niet vegetarisch. Dat maakt het beoordelen lastiger omdat ik alleen iets kan zeggen over wat ik kreeg. De kok komt in elk geval uit Indonesië, Surabaya. Dat is oost Java; ik had daarom wat pittiger gerechten verwacht. Maar met 4 bakjes extra sambal kwam het toch nog goed. Het eten was lekker en de presentatie goed. Ambiance was sfeervol. De prijs was prettig. Afhalen kan ook.

Wij hebben gisteren (3 vegetariërs en 1 vleeseters) daar gegeten. Het eten (1-bord-principe) was ongelofelijk lekker en gevarieerd; de hoeveelheid is uitstekend. Door hun concept geen menukeuzestress en geen verspilling. Je ontspant meteen als je aan tafel gaat zitten. Een heerlijk dessert erna (keuze uit 3) en ter afsluiting een kop koffie maakten ons gezellig samenzijn helemaal af. De sfeer is heel prettig, mede door de beide gastheren en de niet te overdadige maar wel van-deze-tijd-inrichting van dit Indonesisch-Javaans eetcafé. Kortom: een (laagdrempelige) huiskamersfeer met gelijkgestemde prettige gasten waar je heel lekker én betaalbaar eet. Vele Haarlemmers hebben eetcafé Kokkie Londo al ontdekt want reserveren is nodig (shifts van 2 uur). Haarlem is eindelijk een bijzondere eetgelegenheid rijker!

Met vrienden gegeten. De helft de vegetarische maaltijd, de andere helft vlees. Je krijgt een mini rijsttafel voor een schappelijke prijs, met zo'n acht verschillende gerechten. We waren allemaal aangenaam verrast. Dat samen met de sfeervolle inrichting en de zeer gastvrije bediening maakt dat we zeker nog terug gaan komen.

Bennebroek is helaas een toko armer, maar Haarlem daardoor een geweldig Indonesisch restaurant rijker. Het concept alleen al is tof: eten wat de pot schaft. Dat klinkt gewoner dan het is, want Kokkie Londo serveert niet zomaar uit de pot. Je krijgt een bord vol Indonesisch genot; fijn gekruid, gevarieerd en overduidelijk vers bereid. Mooi opgemaakt ook, maar de smaak ... ongelooflijk ENAK!

Great new addition to Haarlems culinary scene. Delicious food, a passionate chef, good service and great atmosphere. The fixed menu,both vegetarian and meat, was very diverse and we felt it satisfied all our needs. The staff was passionate and friendly and the place itself felt very welcoming, despite a full house it felt like we were eating in a small setting.
