I think I paid 17.50 for a doner sandwich menu. The sandwich was fully filled; they weren't stingy with the meat. The service could have been better though; we couldn't order at the table (we were with a large group).

I often order from Konya; the food is usually always good, but today it was very disappointing. The meat was dry and cold, and the fries were almost burnt. They didn't even put a lid on the kapsalon, just aluminum foil, and the whole bag was leaking. Today we were very disappointed. There goes your money! (We ate our food 5 minutes after picking it up (as much as we ate it).)

I come here often to eat döner. I grew up in Germany around döner restaurants, and this place genuinely reminds me of German (real meat)döner,especially the bread, which I believe is homemade and tastes amazing. The portions are big and generous, and the prices are very fair. What I also really appreciate is the free self service Turkish tea, which is a beautiful touch. The service and overall hospitality are on point,I come from a hospitality background myself, so I know what good service looks like, and they really get it right here. I saw this place on TikTok and thought it would be another TikTok spot with bad service and terrible food, but I was surprised when it turned out to be completely different. The sandwiches were huge, and so were the portions of fries—you never see that anymore in Amsterdam. We sat inside and felt completely at ease. Highly recommended.

I don't normally write reviews, but I wanted to share this experience. Yesterday, I went here for dinner after seeing the restaurant featured heavily on TikTok for a while, where it was mainly promoted by influencers. My expectations were therefore quite high. Unfortunately, the food was very disappointing. I ordered the Chef Ali sandwich and the loaded fries with tenders. The sandwich literally fell apart after one bite because it was completely soaked in oil. The fries in the sandwich hadn't been drained, there was far too much cheddar on it, and as a result, I barely tasted the yaprak döner. Furthermore, the dish was far too salty. The loaded fries were also disappointing: they were soft, hadn't been drained, were too salty, and the spring onions were forgotten. We ate in the restaurant; the service was friendly, but it turned out that we should have been served bread with the mezzes because we were eating there. We did get mezzes, but no bread. All in all, it was not at all what it was presented as online. In the comments below the videos, you'll see that many regular guests (not influencers) share the same experience. For us, this meant a 30-minute drive for wasted time and money. A shame, because based on the online hype, we expected much more.

What a filthy, dirty place! We were sitting there eating some ekmek and suddenly noticed a clump of hair on our food. My wife threw it all up. I also got the wrong orders. They do everything so quickly they don't even look at your order! I expected more from them, I'm really annoyed.

We ate here yesterday. We ordered the loaded fries with tenders and the kofte sandwich with cheddar. Our order was ready super fast; you could literally see through the glass that everything was super fresh. They're definitely not stingy with the portions; we were actually quite full. They were also very attentive; you get free meze and bread, which you rarely see in many places these days. The tea is also on the house, which is delicious after dinner. The staff is also super friendly. During the half hour we were there, one of them was constantly checking on everyone, checking if anything needed to be cleaned or taken away. If you asked for something, it was brought to you right away. They treat their customers really well. The food was absolutely delicious; I will definitely be back.

Pide and chicken sandwich were tasty, kapsalon lamb was less so, too greasy for my taste.

I've eaten there before. The kofte sandwich was fine then. This time we ordered it, and it was absolutely inedible. The bread was burnt, making everything taste burnt, and the kofte sandwich had a nasty aftertaste. To be honest, the seasoning on the chicken and kofte was also just very poor and minimal.

People complain about the prices on social media. I went there today but when you see how big the bread and meat is that you get I think it is really worth it. And it was also super tasty

This place was a total surprise. I was expecting a decent meal, but what I got was one of the best dining experiences in recent memory. The staff here are incredibly passionate about what they do — you can see it in how they explain each dish and how carefully everything is presented. I had the lamb shank and it was fall-off-the-bone tender, served over creamy mashed potatoes with a rich reduction. The portion was generous and beautifully plated. My only regret is not saving room for dessert. I’ll be back to fix that. This is one of those restaurants that’s worth going out of your way for.

I think they mix stale meat with spices to prevent it from smelling. When the children asked for drinks, the waiter said go and get them yourself 🫨

Unfortunately, a place that looks great on social media, but in reality it doesn't. We've been here a few times with family. The focus seems to be very much on what they turn over per table. If you come with children, they already seem to be annoyed. Simple questions seem to be too much. When new guests arrive, they are already told that we are almost leaving while we are still eating. Last Ramadan we wanted to make a reservation for iftar and we indicated that there are children with us. The tone immediately changed from friendly to unfriendly. Suddenly it was not easy to make a reservation, because the intention is that the children also order an iftar menu. 2 adults and 4 children. I indicate that the children will share 1 iftar menu with two. The tone becomes sharp and the person literally says that I have to understand that they also want to earn something and that if we only take 2 iftar menus with 6 people, it would be a waste of the table that we would then occupy. I have never felt so disrespectfully treated by a restaurant owner/employee. The fact that you allow your guests in this way is one thing, but that you have also communicated it in this way is far from decency. The first few times we came here with great joy, unfortunately the last few times not until the experience on the phone. This makes this restaurant not an option for us. Radiate hospitality, respect and warmth via social media and in real life especially the other way around.

I've eaten here before and I was actually quite satisfied, so I thought this is a place where I can order again with confidence. Unfortunately, that was really not the case this time. I had ordered a köfte sandwich, but it was completely out of balance. The cheddar was so dominant that you could hardly taste the rest. The bread itself seemed barely baked, it was still almost raw and very white in color. The lettuce on it was soggy and wilted, as if it had been there for a while. I was even five minutes earlier than the indicated pick-up time, hoping to get everything as fresh as possible. To my surprise, my order was already completely packed and ready. When I asked if they could cut the sandwich for me, I saw an employee hesitate, after which the owner came over and immediately said: "No, it's already packed." The chicken tenders sandwich was also very disappointing. The tenders were not crispy as you would expect, but rather soggy and limp. And then the loaded fries… I don’t even want to start on that. The fries were pale, limp and soggy, and the extra chicken fillet we ordered was cold and bone dry. A real shame, because my previous experience gave me hope that this could become a new regular spot. But after today I know for sure that I won’t be coming back here again. Too bad.

Actually I never really take the time to write an extensive review but I thought it was worth it now so here we go: A few days ago I went to Konya for the first time, and I can tell you that you will find the best döner sandwich of your life here! The sandwich is apparently freshly made and the meat, soooo much and soooo tasty, a friend only wanted döner and feta cheese with garlic on his döner and this was arranged for free, great. By the way, the order of 3 döner sandwiches was ready super fast (less than 5 minutes) They have a super large menu, the choice is huge. If you wonder why it took so long it was probably because you couldn't choose what you ordered 🤔😂 The atmosphere was also great, many couples/families who came by for a chat and a tasty bite. Plenty of seating. The place also looked nice and clean and the service was quick and the employees very sympathetic and spontaneous. Konya Etliekmek, definitely recommended, hopefully they will open a place in Amsterdam South one day, there is almost no good döner to be found there. 10/10 😁

Definitely recommended. Their lamb shawarma sandwiches are top notch. We also had pide with lamb shawarma (also delicious), kofte sandwiches with cheddar (absolutely amazing) and their loaded fries were delicious, especially if you like cheesy. We will definitely come back, but if you want to sit down for a while, I think it would be wiser to come during the week and not at the weekend. It will be difficult to sit comfortably, but when it comes to food they are one of the best.

This restaurant is exceptionally good. You get some kind of starter (meze) for free. Today we ordered a köfte sandwich with cheddar cheese and an “etli ekmek”. If we had taken the starter, it would have been very difficult for us to eat the entire food we ordered. Tea is, as just mentioned, free on the house together with the meze. Highly recommended for everyone. Everything is made on site. The dough is made into a sandwich while you watch it.

The best place to eat döner is in Amsterdam. I especially recommend the meat döner and köfte. But you should also definitely try the shawarma calzone. The Italian dough, combined with Middle Eastern spices, is a delicious combination!
