Here is amazing 😍😍😍 definitely come and try. If you wanna see real ocakbaşı, real kebap. Meat is melting in your mouth and they cooked perfect and of course Turkish meze. omg🤤🤤🤤🤤. and final dish is katmer🫠🫠🫠. An experience in itself! and of course Demet☺️ she is so good and helpful. Good option in the city centre if you want to have Turkish food. The options are quite diverse, whether you’re vegetarian or not and whether you’re in for a lot of starters or just the mains. Dish sizes are Dutch standards, but if you have some starters to share and a main dish you should be fine. They also thought of desserts :). Staff is mainly Turkish which contributes to the feeling you’re in a Turkish place :). Safe choice and prizes seem fine as well.

Great restaurant. Still one of my favourite restaurants in the Netherlands. Expect to pay 40/50 euro per person at least. Still as good as the first time i went there 6+ years ago

We visited Ali Ocakbaşı in Amsterdam and instantly felt a touch of home. After a long time craving high quality Turkish mezes paired with a warm, inviting ambiance, this place delivered exactly what we were looking for. Our server, Sogi, was incredibly kind and attentive, making our evening even more enjoyable. The food was exceptional, we tried the Çöp Şiş and Fıstıklı Kebab, along with Köpoğlu and Girit Ezmesi. The mezes were unbelievably flavorful, each bite taking us back to Istanbul. The Fıstıklı Kebab was on another level, and the Çöp Şiş was juicy and tender, definitely among our favorites. While the portion sizes were a bit small, it didn’t take away from the experience. With a glass of rakı, great music, and a cozy atmosphere, we truly felt at home. If you’re missing the meyhane culture of Istanbul or simply want to explore authentic Anatolian cuisine in a stylish setting, Ali Ocakbaşı is a must-visit.

We ate today at Ali Ocakbaşı and it was an excellent meal. The dishes were full of flavor, freshly prepared, and truly authentic. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, and the staff made us feel very welcome with their friendly service. Everything from start to finish was perfect. Definitely a place we would recommend and one we’ll happily return to!

We visited this great restaurant twice this week so that on its own says enough! The food and all the staff are amazing. Today we were served by trainee Sogi who should definitely become part of the regular staff as she made our evening very memorable. Highly recommend the kebab, the cold starters and as a desert the homemade rice pudding and Katmer. I personally would have preferred the rice pudding served warm but this might not be as per the Turkish tradition.

We were just craving for our country’s food but here was something different. Food was incredibly delicious( we had “karışık” ızgara, çoban salata and künefe), I want to specially adress the vanilla ice cream “real one”- which was served with the künefe. I tasted Ali Kebab there, it was excellent. It is one of the best Kebab I have ever eaten even in Turkey! The restaurant has a nice atmosphere with some authentic & old style Turkish music :) I really recommend to all who are in Amsterdam..
