Had dinner at Ali Ocakbaşi in Amsterdam. A nice neat place with tasty Turkish dishes on the menu. The atmosphere is good and the staff very attentive and helpful. The food is tasty. As a starter hummus with bread. The bread is fresh and warm. Main course was lamb kebab with bulgur. The meat was deliciously tender and nicely spicy. The kunefe for dessert was great. The portions were not very big for what you pay for it, but it was a good experience!

Mr. Abbas provided us with the experience we are used to in a classic grill in Turkey. Thank you, there was a smiling service and a very nice meal.

I am a regular here, especially for deserts (kunefe is out of this world). I always ask for dimitra to serve me because she is lovely and loves to do conversation :) the food is worth its price especially if you come for a mezze dinner. I recommend this place to families and older groups of friends. Big love to all the staff

Reserved Tuesday 11/03 at 4:30 PM. Were 4 adults and 1 child. Arrived just before opening hours (30 minutes early) That we used to be...no problem. The fact that we all had different starters and main courses, which could be served simultaneously or consecutively... no problem. In short: Cozy dining in a beautiful interior! Warm atmosphere, beautiful location, lots of parking. Great reception, you can tell from everything that this is a business where both the owner and staff have only one goal, to take care of and appreciate the customers from A to Z Very smooth service, friendly, attentive! Thank you Lara!!! Nice menu with unusual dishes. The chef's dishes are a demonstration of his great talent from start to finish, with beautiful presentations, intense flavors and supreme refinement. In this restaurant, everything is done simply but perfectly, both in the kitchen and in the dining room. Once again Lara, a very sincere thank you, I have been working in the catering industry for 25 years, but have rarely experienced such hospitality and service. A very nice tavern with a very nice atmosphere. The appetizers are the best I've had in a long time. I especially want to thank Nisa Hanım for taking such great care of us. If you're ever around, definitely stop by!! I'll be back.

I was looking for a nice place to introduce Turkish food to my foreign friends. We preferred Ali Ocakbaşı. If you really want to taste Turkish appetizers and dishes, it is worth the price. Mr. Selçuk took care of us and we were very pleased with the service. My foreign friends were surprised by Selçuk Bey's friendliness and service, and they were also very pleased.

We came inside the store around 4PM, 3 guys. No reservation, we wanted to ask if they have a table for 3, he said no everything is reservated (at least 10 tables were free). We even told them we don‘t plan to stay long. I would‘ve understood if its 8PM 6PM okay, but 4PM, many tables empty and you deny? Other than that good location, apparently good food, but come on.

We had a great night with lovely food and the kindest servers, Selcuk and Dimitra.
