Amazing food! Fast service. Such a cosy place to spend time at. Coffee was also great. Love it.

K-U-S-H-I-I-N has such a great atmosphere — the people working there are always warm and welcoming, and both owners are genuinely kind. The regulars who come by in the mornings are also great to chat with, which makes the place feel even more inviting. The ambience and food are always spot-on — it’s nice to try something a bit different from the usual. I’ve had the matcha drink once, and it’s definitely worth getting! My go-to favorites are the pastries (especially the red velvet cake), their focaccia, and the tuna or vitello tonnato — all absolutely delicious. Highly recommend!

Even the green smoothie was delicious—I usually find those kinds of drinks a bit grassy, ​​but this one was creamy and smooth, with a refreshing note. You could tell they knew exactly how to blend flavors. The rest of the menu also looked well-presented and original. The staff were friendly and helpful, offering advice without being pushy. The atmosphere was calm, with warm colors and good music playing in the background. Everything felt relaxed yet professional. A modern place where healthy food is simply delicious, without feeling forced.

I knew they had the best matcha but they also have the best french toast in town. The focaccia menu is rich and it comes fresh and delish. The coffee is also so good i don’t know how everything can be this good.

We thoroughly enjoyed a lime (not lemon!) cake and two iced lattes (matcha and chai). We all enjoyed it, but nothing special. While enjoying drinks, we browsed the lunch menu, and it looked fantastic. We'll definitely be back for lunch!

If you appreciate hygiene, I wouldn't come here. The atmosphere is beautiful but besides that I actually saw the employees cut the fruit I ordered with a dirty knife that was in a dirty water bowl in the sink. I saw one of the employees eating the cookies that were left, wiping her nose and working on like nothing happened. Never again.

Best coffee and focaccias in Nijmegen

I asked for a latte, which is pretty large and about 220ml of milk. I was given the “latte” on a capuchino cup (180ml), which is way smaller. I complained about it and the barista said that she just added a bit more milk and that’s not the way you make a latte, since it’s a very big difference. I’m very disappointed since it’s specialty coffee and the baristas should know the difference. The worst part is that the barista was extremely unfriendly and treated me as if I was wrong which isn’t true, since she truly made a mistake and made the wrong drink, which would’ve solved it by giving me the actual latte.

There's also plenty of choice on the menu, for both a quick bite and something more substantial. The service is also friendly and attentive, making you feel immediately welcome. Definitely a place I'd love to return to!

Food that looks great and actually tastes great too. I had the Paridiso Foccacia, which was quite filling for being a small sandwhich. Our matchas were delicious hot and iced. My friend has been raving about the kimchi pancakes since!

This place is beautiful and modern, with super friendly staff and a wide variety of delicious matcha flavors. Vegan options are available also.

Kushiin has really great matchas! I had never tried one before, but they helped me choose. My sister bought the tea, and it was very rich in flavor—so good in fact that she asked if she could take some home. We will be coming here every week from now on! Definitely recommended!

We were totally disappointed. We were served dirty utensils, and when I asked for replacements, they brought us dirty ones again. It’s strange that when the waiter swaps dirty utensils for clean ones, it seems like a purely mechanical action. One dish was almost cold, although another (the focaccia) was okay. By the way, I wouldn’t recommend the brownie at Kushiin either. It’s not a brownie—it’s barely chocolatey and just an overly sweet piece of cake. The staff was friendly, which is probably the only positive thing about the experience.

The Chicken o Clock sandwich was delicious, a horrible sandwich 10/10. Croissants 7.5/10.

Having tried various cafes in Nijmegen, I found that this place truly offered the best lattes in the city, with quality coffee, not bitter and a perfect amount of milk. Service is also friendly, both the baristas and the owner — all in all highly recommend it. Thanks for the daily lattes over the past few months of living in Nijmegen and until next time!

Unfortunately there was no more chicken and tuna after 2:00 PM. The focaccia ham and pastrami was fine though! It would have been even better if it had been warmed up just a little bit. Furthermore, good price for what you get. Service was fast and friendly. We will definitely come back! Oh yes, it is halal 👌🏻👌🏻

I wish I had noticed this place sooner. I came here for pancakes but got the standard french toast instead. I also ordered a cappuccino, a chai tea latte, and the Strawberry Iced Matcha. I’m very caffeine-adapted. This was my first time here so I wanted to check multiple drinks. Random note: they serve on small bamboo platters with stone cups which I really liked 🤷 Cappuccino: nice flavor but very small. I’m American so having a 20 oz coffee is not strange for me. But this seemed particularly small. Chai tea latte: really nice, but I’m partial to cinnamon. I don’t like other versions where nutmeg and other spices overpower the cinnamon French toast: i loved the combo of clotted cream and syrup which made me want to clean the plate. Really nice portion size. Strawberry Iced Matcha: make sure to stir well! After you stir its on the sweeter side. Seems like strawberry jam mixed in and I immediately thought I would like to try to make this at home because it was really nice. I’m someone who likes matcha taste slightly covered.

4 times that I have been here, 2 times I really enjoyed it.. 2x not cause: Young lady with your blonde curls, you are not customer friendly, even rude. Too bad, hospitality is what everyone should feel... that is something the blonde lady cannot convey.

This is a perfect place to enjoy a highest quality coffee in a pleasant and comfortable yet living atmosphere. There is enough space to deploy a significant amount of visitors. Cool air conditioning provides fresh and chill air into the whole interior. As for the coffee, I assume that even the most sophisticated critics could mark the 5 star rating. On top of that, never exhausted and always smiling and friendly staff keeps this place running is another reason to come back here again and again. Definitely recommend visiting this nice place.

Really my favorite café in Nijmegen. Service, food and service are great. It's also nice to sit with your laptop for a while. Lots of choice for drinks and food. My all time is definitely the French toast!

Small café with sweet & savoury brunch style dishes. Excellent freshly squeezed orange juice & excellent (decaf soya) flat white. I really enjoyed my scrambled egg on bread. We happened to be walking past and popped in but definitely worth a walk to go there. Don't expect white linen tablecloths. You pay for the food not the decor.

Tuna me on is highly recommended for tuna lovers. Cappuccino is superb and the atmosphere is cozy. It could just be a little cleaner (especially cushions and seating area).

I ordered the iced matcha because on the poster they have, it looks so good and I was so looking forward to it. But after I ordered, it tasted like PLAIN ICED MILK. I didn't taste the matcha at all, i spent €5 on iced milk. Disappointing.

Heerlijk eten en gezellig zitten. Ik kon niet kiezen, zoveel lekkers op de kaart. Het was mogelijk van 2 gerechten een minder grotere portie te krijgen, top service dus!

Ontbijten, lunchen en brunchen op zijn best in Nijmegen. Onwijs lekkere koffie met een menu die alleen maar lekkere opties heeft. Ik kom er graag voor de broodjes en de salades, maar ook om de huisgemaakte gebakjes te combineren met de heerlijk “purple rain”. Vriendelijk personeel en een warm huiskamergevoel maken Kushiin voor mij de ideale plek om er samen te komen met mijn vrouw, vrienden maar ook voor zakelijke lunchafspraken. Kortom, als je een bezoekje aan Nijmegen-Centrum brengt hoort daar een bezoekje aan Kushiin bij.

Good place to hang out. By far, the cafè with a bigger portion of pastry. It was delicious with justvthe right amount of sweetness. Perfectly paired with a coffee. I had latte, only that the cup is a bit small, I guess.
