La Cubanita Groningen in Centrum

What a disappointment. And that with my birthday dinner. Paid €80 for some tasteless and insensitive dishes. Only 2 dishes per 10 minutes (which is usually 3 at tapas restaurants). I think with a view to saving money. But have quality in return! Little choice of meat, all the cheapest of the cheapest in my opinion. The choice that was available was dry and/or tasteless. Bruschetta with hard toasts from the package. 'Salad' with a piece of canned peach. No experience in cocktails. All in all, a waste of money and unfortunately not worth repeating. The service, on the other hand, was friendly! But we left within an hour, regretting this choice.

A nice environment to eat good food and taste everything. The service is very friendly and hospitable.

Had dinner here with a friend last Sunday. We got a table all the way in the corner next to a door and fire extinguisher, not very cozy. The service was not very friendly, quite impersonal. The food was also quite disappointing. Tasteless, or a strange flavor combination, nachos that are soaked in something that should look like crème fraiche and little variety. Some dishes were so hot that they seemed to have been microwaved. We will not go to La Cubanita again. Unfortunately, it used to be a lot better.

Friendly sweet girls! Helpful staff, always good! Update June 2024: new map! We think the chef likes cheese and deep fryers (too bad...) Even the corn wedges come from the deep fryer. Mussels in cheese very tasteless...shame. bruschetta shrimps from the menu, downer. Bruschetta with tomato and too much onion (well then you know). A waste of choice. We came regularly, but this really holds us back.

A bit disappointing, actually. The photos in the menu do not match what you get on the table and the portions are medium, often overcooked and a bit meager. The atmosphere is also great and the service is quick.

Yesterday, May 24, 2024, I had a delicious meal with my son at La Cubanita. It is a cozy tapas restaurant. You can eat unlimited food for less than 25 euros. The tapas are tasty and you have a lot of choice. The service is smooth and friendly. Because many students enter the ministry as a part-time job, quite a lot of English is spoken.

Fairly mediocre quality food. It was quite disappointing last night. There were some tasty tapas, but you clearly noticed that it was prepared in a rather uninspired way. You see it more and more often, but not being able to get a free glass of tap water with your regular drink is very inhospitable. We had to pay €2.50 for a glass of tap water! Absurd. And serving glasses by grabbing them by the edge is not done in the catering industry. Unfortunately we won't be coming here again.

It's a variety of food, some better than others, also depending on each one's taste, to me a little bit too oily all. The service was so fast at the beginning, slowing down when there were more people at the restaurant. The atmosphere was nice and cozy but I will make it more light.

A pleasantly decorated restaurant. Price-quality ratio is good. For 25 euros of unlimited food you can't expect the very best, but it certainly wasn't bad. The service was good. You order your dishes and drinks via a QR code. The downside is that we were often asked if we wanted something to drink, while you could order this via the code. Desserts are not included.

I honestly don't know how this place has 4 stars for real. Are you all unaware of good and fresh in this country? My only assumption for giving this place more than 2 stars... To begin with almost everything we ordered, you couldn't taste the ingredients... You could close your eyes and you couldn't distinguish what is what. I don't know who is working in the kitchen, definitely not Cuban. To continue with, they weren't fresh. We ordered some shrimps, I immediately smelled them and we didn't even touched them... They were dead a long time ago. The 2 stars is only because there were these very kind and nice waitresses, one that explained to us how the system works and prepared us the drinks (although they weren't very good, i know it perhaps wasn't your fault because cocktail and 6€...) and the one that was taking the plates and told us we won't be paying for the returned dishes Also what is that size of the dish...? They were only made for 2 people but the tables to eat are for 4+🙄 (i know you can order more, maybe order less plates per round but bigger portions when there are more people, are we supposed to cut everything in half everytime?🙄🙄) Definitely not worth the money...

Food is fine. You reserve and get 2 and a half hours, but after 2 hours you are not allowed to order anything anymore! You pay for 2 and a half hours, so you want to be able to order the entire time! We will never come here again!

I thought the old building had a bit more atmosphere

Very bad customer service as their website specifically says that they allow dogs, though when you book a table and have a small dog with you they throw you out! Saying that dogs are now allowed. Also no manager available to talk to. Will never go here again.

For those who prefer quantity over quality. Grilled peppers, sweet potato fries, truffle mushrooms and spare ribs are recommended. Otherwise quite sparse and bruschetta is just dry toast. The food also arrives hot. Nice decor and atmosphere with friendly service!

Last night me and my family got food poisoning here. Very annoying, and judging by the food, this was not a surprise either. In addition. The sturdy male manager ran after me to the toilet when he saw that I wanted to drink water from the tap, which could only be ordered from the menu and not from the tap. Not even if you also order a bottle of wine. Bad service. Still, I would like to draw the attention of others to this, and hopefully the (rude) owners will do something about this so that this does not happen to anyone else! Thank you in advance!

The service was very quick and friendly. They also have very tasty cocktails! The food itself wasn't very special in my opinion, though. It was alright for the price we paid for it but I'm not sure if I would return here again. The spareribs and the meatballs were the exception though, those were very tasty!

This tapas spot is quite pleasant, offering prompt service and a good variety of dishes. While the food quality is decent, it doesn't quite dazzle, but the prices are fair. Vegetarian and vegan choices are decent, and the wine selection is satisfactory. Overall, a solid option for a casual dining experience.

Best AYCE tapas restaurant in Groningen. Great value for money! We regularly go to Groningen from Germany to shop and then we always go to La Cubanita! Be sure to reserve a table BEFORE!

Concept seems clear, but is not clear. Staff did not explain it well at the beginning. We were asked if we wanted one last round, which we wanted. Then they asked if we wanted dessert afterwards. To which the answer was yes. When we wanted to order dessert, it was suddenly no longer possible, because apparently that was no longer possible after 7:00 PM. We reported this, but nothing seemed to be done about it. In general, not completely satisfied. Furthermore, the food was delicious.

Delicious tapas, often good promotions with unlimited food and drinks. Definitely worth a visit!

good food, very busy... but what do you want with such a nice all-in package

Not yet known as it should, La Cubanita offers to the Groninger the most delicious and close authenticity like rich flavours and real hot spice that Latin American expats and lovers must at least once come and try. You want real spicy? Then this is the place to challenge your love of it.

Prima plek om tapas te eten. Het concept tapas hou ik niet zo van, maar het eten was goed en snel gebracht. Veel variatie in wat je kan kiezen.

2e kerstdag zijn wij er geweest. Vooropgesteld het eten was prima. De service zeer matig. Letterlijk elk gerecht moest worden doorgegeven over de tafel en voor een ieder langs. Even om de tafel heenlopen was blijkbaar teveel gevraagd. Iets dat qua ruimte makkelijk kon. Het afhalen van de bordjes enz. ging exact zo. Continue voor je langs en/of vragen "kan u dat even aangeven" Tevens was de akoestiek slecht. Je kon elkaar amper verstaan. Dat in combinatie met het waardeloze bestelsysteem (met je eigen telefoon) was dit voor ons 1x maar nooit weer.

Heerlijk gegeten . Super bediening snel en goed eten op tafel. Gaaf systeem om te bestellen. Gastheer en bediening een pluim voor jullie is een aanrader.

Met de familie bij La Cubanita dineren was een geweldige ervaring. Het eten was top, de service was goed en de sfeer was heel fijn. Het bestelsysteem is wel vrij modern, maar voor mij was het geen probleem om uit te vinden hoe het helemaal werkte. Ik heb mezelf bijna buikpijn gegeven van de hoeveelheid lekker tapas, aanrader.

Wij waren dit keer in La Cubanita Groningen, om 17.00 binnen en het was toen redelijk rustig en gingen de bestellingen goed en was het eten warm. Even later werd het druk en zat het helemaal vol, wat tenkoste ging van de kwaliteit, bestellingen duurde lang en waren regelmatig koud. Dit was best wel jammer. Verder toch een leuke avond gehad en lekker gegeten. Martin.

Gister in Groningen bij La Cubanita gegeten. Het eten was ronduit slecht. Geen smaak aan de knoflook champignons en garnalen. Denk dat je de knoflook er zelf bij moet denken. De kip was koud en op de maiskolf zat gewoon een sticker van de verpakking vastgeplakt. Na 3 kwartier hebben we de rekening gevraagd. Kregen we ook nog de rekening van de verkeerde tafel! Het personeel is vriendelijk, doen hun best maar zijn erg jong. De sfeer was begrafeniswaardig.. Nooit meer La Cubanita voor mij!

It was always a pleasant experience coming here. I’d say that the price is equivalent to the service and quality served. The waiters are always so nice and accomodating! Anyways, I highly recommend the fried chicken with honey sauce. It was so savoury yet sweet and crispy at the same time it was just so gooood I had to get that for multiple rounds. Also, the bread here was just so good. I know it feels counter-intuitive to get just bread in an all you can eat, but it was definitely worth the try and one of the best restaurant breads in the city.

Niet gereserveerd maar de vriendelijke gastheer zocht een plek voor ons. Ruim de tijd om voor een relatief scherpe prijs allerlei lekkere warme/koude hapjes via de app te bestellen. Leuk concept. Vriendelijke en snelle bediening. Verwacht gezien het concept geen sterrenrestaurant. Dikke 8!

Het is het allemaal net niet qua gerechten. Veel hetzelfde. Personeel wel erg vriendelijk. Onze tablet was stuk waardoor we maar 3 keer iets konden bestellen. Op het laatst mochten we allemaal dubbel bestellen. Super opgelost, maar door tijdsdruk toch te weinig tijd gehad om genoeg te eten. Jammer!

Het duurt lang voordat het eten gebracht wordt, drankjes neemt wel snel op (daar zit de winst). Al meer dan kwartier voor de twee uur om is waarin je kunt bestellen komen ze al aan tafel de laatste ronde opnemen. Tip: niet wachten met bestellen tot de eerdere gang er is.

Sommige borden waren al wat afgekoelt, vooral de zoete aardappelfriet. Waarschijnlijk niet snel genoeg uitgeserveerd Maar verder super plek met heerlijk eten

Leuk restaurant met mooi interieur! Aardige medewerkers en goede service. Eten komt redelijk snel en is echt lekker. Aleen geen 5 sterren omdat de porties nog wel wat klein zijn. Voor de rest goed restaurant, een redelijke prijs en een aanrader!

In het verleden altijd heerlijk. Daarna vaak tapas gegeten bij een concurrent. Nu weer geprobeerd vanwege de leuke aanbieding. De tapas waren een paar jaar terug echt vele malen lekkerder. Bijvoorbeeld de biefstuk was super taai, niet doorheen te komen. Knoflook garnalen minder smaakvol etc. Porties waren groot, dus de nacho's en zoete aardappel friet echt (te) veel. Toetjes lekker! Het tetterende muziekje was best storend aanwezig, we zaten ook precies onder een luidspreker. Verder is de aankleding in dit nieuwe pand erg leuk. Bediening was prima, en we hebben een gezellige avond gehad. Maar voor tapas gaan we toch weer naar de concurrent in het vervolg.

Heerlijk gegeten voor een goede prijs. Heb meerdere tapas restaurants geprobeerd en la cubanita heeft kwalitatief de beste tapas van van ik tot nu toe heb geprobeerd. Je zit ook een stuk plezieriger dan de vorige locatie (aan zuiderdiep) Een aanrader!!

Het eten op zich was wel oké, alleen wat aan de vette kant en voor de vegetarisch gerechtjes was er erg veel frituur. De bediening was erg vriendelijk. Wat ik erg storend vond was dat de gerechtjes niet per ronde werden uitgeserveerd. Er kwam af en toe een nieuw schaaltje op tafel zodat iedereen voor zich at en dus niet gezamenlijk.
